Let me make a guess.

Coinslotty 😉

Right or wrong?

4782  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitGo withdrawal fee is too high on: March 27, 2023, 08:59:26 AM
Some time has passed and I have experienced one more weird thing that BitGo wallet makes. That is another warning to those who is using BitGo wallet.
I don't think this needs a warning. I can see why they did this, and (depending on circumstances), it makes sense.

Quote
Maybe this is all due to me being inexperienced enough, but I cant understand and find it weird and unfair, that while doing a transaction from wallet A to wallet B, BitGo add to transaction something extra. Here is an example of TXID. I was sending 0.0031 BTC but into that transaction BitGo has added 0.011 BTC.
It looks like this wallet avoids creating small inputs. If you would have used only 0.00335 BTC to send 0.0031 BTC, you would have ended up with an input smaller than 0.00025 BTC. By adding another input, you end up with one larger input instead of a small and a large one. When fees are low, that's actually a good thing to do. And considering the fee was 1.012 sat/vbyte, it's a cheap consolidation and your next transaction pays a lower fee.
If you don't want this (for instance for privacy reasons), you should use manual coin control. I don't know if "BitGo" supports that.

Quote
With 1 sat/byte 0.0031 would be transferred much faster than 0.0141 imo.
Unlikely. Miners pick the transactions with the highest relative fee (per vbyte) first, and the total transaction size doesn't really matter.

Quote
So a warning for those who wants to use low fee and expect speed - dont use low fee, as you might wait days or weeks for confirmation.
Again: it depends. If you're not in a rush, a low fee is fine. Check Johoe's site for instance to see what you can expect.
If you're in a hurry, you should indeed pay a high enough fee per vbyte.

Quote
Not to mention that you can send all of your balance. After hitting "max" button, you still have something left on a balance. If you have 0.01 BTC, you can write manually 0.009 in amount windon and use 0.0001 for a fee.
It sounds like you should just switch to Electrum, where the "Max" button works as expected.

Can you explain how you "automatically and securely transfer your initial liquidity with no traceability"? Without technical explanation, it now sounds like you're just using buzzwords.

Be consistent.

I'm pretty sure the owners of this crypto-exchange based its name on a popular tv show, Better Call Saul and they probably just changed the Saul to Raul to avoid legal consequences.  Wink
Quite a catchy name if you ask me.
I like the name, but it's only good "on paper". If you say it out loud, "Raul" sounds totally different than "Saul".

Maybe this phrase "As an AI language model" should be checked using ninjastic.space to find more of those.
I've added it to Finding spam and scams by keyword. See loyce.club/badposts/spam.html for the results.

4786  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is right about Bitcoin? on: March 27, 2023, 07:05:25 AM
I don't know what is a best word to use to say about Bitcoin.
Magic internet money Smiley

On a more serious note: all of the terms you mentioned work just fine. There's more than one way to describe Bitcoin.
4787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin-qt maximum addresses? on: March 27, 2023, 05:50:56 AM
2. I also want to know how many addresses I can watch until things start to get slow, or worst... the program start to crash?
With all Private keys posted on Bitcointalk, I ended up with a 2 GB wallet. That made Bitcoin Core very slow.
It's easy to test with watch-only addresses, just get a lot of them, and try it Smiley I expect similar limitations: it doesn't really depend on the number of addresses, it depends on how many transactions they've had.

What is it you're trying to accomplish?
4788  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: can't access electrum wallet on: March 26, 2023, 07:26:22 PM
Yes, I created the wallet on my own. Did a search for how to buy bitcoin and then looked at several wallets. Chose Electrum because it was highly rated. When I opened the download the Electrum 4.3.4 line was at the top along with the 1N8vh... no help from anyone. (I should have done a bit more reading up, it appears.)
I think I can safely say Electrum didn't create that wallet name on it's own, so (somehow) you must have done it. If you can figure out how that happened, that might give you a clue.

Quote
I am totally in the dark about private keys. I've seen where they're listed in the pull-down menu but have no idea what to do with them. It just says sweep or export. Is there some kind of connection between them and the 1N8v... label that might give me access to the coin?
You don't just go from private keys in a new (bc1q) Electrum wallet to a legacy ("1") address without manually doing something.
4789  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: can't access electrum wallet on: March 26, 2023, 06:14:07 PM
This is the top line of my wallet:  Electrum 4.3.4 - 1N8vh... [standard]
All of this is normal, except for that "1N8vh..." is at the place where your wallet's name is. That means it is actually the name of your wallet, and that should not be a Bitcoin address.
Did you create this wallet by yourself? Or did someone "help" you do this? Did you get a phone call, or email, telling you what to do?

Quote
I don't know if it matters but I did open an electrum wallet on my phone. It seems somewhat different than the PC version. I don't see the 1Nvh... number on there anywhere. I just recently opened this wallet when I discovered the problem I have. Haven't done anything with it except look at it. I don't think the two are connected in any way.
It sounds like it's unrelated.

Quote
Regardless, is it your expert opinion the bc showing on the blockchain under 1N8vh... is "locked" there having no way to be moved to my wallet or anywhere else for that matter?
Like all Bitcoins, it can only be moved by someone with access to the private key.

Quote
(Is this the kind of thing "miners"  look for?)
No. Miners don't look for lost coins, but scammers prey on Newbies (and on experienced members too).

Quote
It's really not that much money to go further down this rabbit hole any deeper.
I'd say dig a bit deeper. Try to remember what exactly you did when you created the wallet. How did it get it's name ("1N8vh...")?
4790  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Deflation in signature campaigns on: March 26, 2023, 06:03:08 PM
The point is, with the influx of ex-CM participants, there is an increase of pressure to maintain the quality of your post especially if you are on a campaign with a former CM participant. It just feels like you can be replaced anytime soon if you can't keep up with them and not do some legwork.
That's healthy competition, it happens in any job. I prefer that over paying people who spam shitposts.

If you notice the services section there are a couple ex CM participants advertising their space is now for rent. Some of those guys will get custom deals.
Correct. I created a topic, and received and accepted an offer 3 days later. Before creating that topic, I got some offers already, but I wanted to see if there's something I like more.
4791  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: can't access electrum wallet on: March 26, 2023, 05:05:59 PM
Could it be the address (1N8vh...) I copied is not, in fact, the address but the name of the wallet?
Unlikely. The default wallet is named default_wallet, and that's not something you accidentally change into a Bitcoin address.

One possibility is clipboard malware, although I haven't read about malware that replaces a bc1q-address with a legacy ("1") address. And if that's the case, I would have expected the funds to be moved by now.

Quote
If this is what happened I suppose this is a fatal error on my part and, given the security protocols, the bc can not be moved out of 1N8vh... since there is no such address owner.
It's unlikely you create an address by just typing it (I think there's about a 1 in 4 billion chance to type a correct checksum), so it's much more likely the address was created from a private key.
Your "fatal error" is not checking your wallet after the first withdrawal. Checking block explorers isn't enough if the address doesn't belong to your wallet.
4792  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any problems with *CHIPMIXER* coins? on: March 26, 2023, 04:56:25 PM
all staffs who were wearing mixers signatures stopped at same week and did not try to join any other mixing predictions campaign, so did I miss something?
Who? I only found OmegaStarScream, and he's now avoiding mixers and gambling altogether. That doesn't leave much else to advertise.
4793  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism Vs Scam on: March 26, 2023, 04:32:36 PM
So my question is now is the crime of plagiarism more offensive than scamming? Huh
It's not about being "offensive", it's about avoiding a false sense of security. If you know scams aren't moderated, you're supposed to be more careful yourself. It's part of the freedoms Bitcointalk offers.
Plagiarism has nothing to do with freedom, so it gets you banned.
4794  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: can't access electrum wallet on: March 26, 2023, 03:23:31 PM
The site is Coinmama.
That sounds legit.

Quote
I got it from the top of the wallet.

I went to the Electrum.org site for the download. When I purchased the bc I was asked to enter the wallet address. I put in the 1N8vh.... address on the top of the wallet. Should I have chosen an address from the list of addresses? If so, I was unaware of that.
What do you mean with "from the top of the wallet"? The top-address on the Addresses list is fine. If you would have created one on the Receive tab, that's fine too. I don't have an address "on the top", so I'm not sure what you mean.
4795  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: can't access electrum wallet on: March 26, 2023, 02:47:56 PM
2. Since I opened the electrum wallet I have not conducted any transactions other than purchase coin. I don't know where these addresses came from. They appear when I click the "addresses" tab on the wallet. Honestly, it's been so long since I was in this wallet I don't remember if I ever saw a balance of more than "0". I think, early on, a balance did show but I'm not absolutely sure. I found it easier to check the blockchain site. All the addresses begin with bc1q.
It sounds like you've been sending money to someone else's address for the last 2 years. You've been using a legacy address (starting with 1).

Quote
I just looked at my account history on the site where I bought all my coin.
Which site is this?

1N8vh3M4Kbj4aF5nBSnP44vLRzdbAxBprx

this is the address I copy and pasted onto the vendor's site.
Where did you get this address?

Quote
Is the above given address supposed to show up in the list of addresses shown under the "addresses" tab in the wallet?
If the address is part of your wallet, then yes, it should show up in the Addresses list.

Quote
Was my wallet corrupt right from the start? Since the blockchain shows the coin residing in the above address and they never came to the wallet does that mean they are, essentially, unrecoverable?
"The blockchain" doesn't know who owns the address. If you somehow copied someone else's address, someone else may be able to recover the funds. But since nothing was spent in the past 2 years, we can't know for sure.

Quote
It looks like I am locked out from ever accessing the bitcoin I bought with this wallet address.
Try to remember what exactly you did to get that wallet. Clearly, it didn't come from your Electrum wallet with bc1q-addresses.
4796  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ultimate Bitcoin Privacy - Discussion on: March 26, 2023, 08:18:27 AM
The only really bad scenario is if all 3 signer servers get seized at the same time.
If just 1 out of 3 is unavailable, the multisig transaction can't be signed anymore. Unless you mean a 1/3 multisig setup, but that creates other risks.
It is a 3/3 multisig setup, 1/3 would defeat the purpose. The reasoning behind it is that if one signer will ever be seized or it stops for any reason there is no damage that can be done.
That makes sense. My assumption was the multisig is meant to protect against losing access, but it's against someone else gaining access. Unless someone skips the servers ans gains access to your backups directly.
4797  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: March 26, 2023, 08:06:10 AM
Do you know what is total amount of Bitcoin in those addresses?
I think official report said that $46 million in cryptocurrency was seized, but I don't remember they ever said exact amount of Bitcoin they control now.
It was in the news, just over 1900 BTC was seized.
