Let's cut the discussion about the girl wearing mask, the mystery was in here face, we will never know what she looks like because of that mask on.
Anyway, I'm convince with the reply above that casinos are more protective to their employees than their visitors, that's a good protocol and a way to continue the operation while ensuring their employees are free from infection, especially the girls.
4782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 24, 2020, 10:28:48 AM
My point is, as long as there are careless players then no casino will operate that long and reclose once again. Same thing applied in every field or industry.

Then this should be applied to other industries, like Salon, Grocery stores and etc. , if that's your point, then there's no reason the aforementioned business will also operate. Careless individual are everywhere, not only in casino, there are also careless people in church, and why the government allowed it to open?
4783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: June 24, 2020, 09:54:38 AM
As of June 26, the Washintong will require the use of face mask in public spaces. IMO, this is a measure that should have been taken from the beginning in the USA.

https://coronavirus.wa.gov/information-for/you-and-your-family/face-masks-or-cloth-face-covering

I hope it is a requirement throughout the USA because the incidence of new cases in this nation is still growing. If you observe in Las Vegas only the personnel of the Casinos wear masks. Take a look at Golden Gate Hotel & Casino in this article, there is a video of the protocols they are using.

https://www.latimes.com/espanol/vida-y-estilo/articulo/2020-06-12/la-extrana-reapertura-de-las-vegas-atrae-multitudes-algunas-enmascaradas-otras-no

For example, in my country, Venezuela, we wear face masks when we leave the house, in supermarkets the staff puts antibacterial gel on our hands and the banks also take our temperature. The use of the facial mask is a norm to enter a commercial establishment.

Which is wrong, it's weird.. that woman should not be wearing mask, how can we see here face. lol.. (picture was taken from the article shared).

Maybe they are trying to protect their employees so the casino are 100% covid-19 free but we don't know about their customers or clients.
4784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 24, 2020, 08:10:32 AM
My regulation would be to ensure no business can reopen (before vaccine) after failing to distance their customers, thats their one chance gone and also any inspection that shows poor management would also mean closure on public health grounds.   If the rules are implemented in that way, the business should be self regulating and fearing the effects of outbreaks to their revenue.

That's the kind of strict measures that needs to be implemented, if they will not comply, they will be closed and they won't be re open again until the vaccine is release, I think that way casinos will be more vigilant and they will ensure to implement the guidelines effectively.
4785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 23, 2020, 11:55:17 PM
So, for Denver and Dallas to be at west finals you have to eliminate Lakers, eliminate clipplers, eliminate Utah and eliminate Rockets. You are expecting awfully a lot from one team that never been to playoffs together and another that is basically 2-3 years in playoff adventure versus teams with multiple championship fmvp players.

That's it, but no one sees the future, based on the betting odds we can clearly see how tiny the chance of these two teams to be an NBA champion or to be playing in the West Finals at least, it's always known to us as the odds are their, but it doesn't mean it's impossible and though you call this as a dream, still I'd like to see it happening.

WHO KNOWS MY FRIEND> Grin

Nothing is impossible in NBA. If we're talking about teams who has a very tiny chances to play in the NBA finals, remember that one major injury could change the outcome. Look at what happened to the GSW the last time they played the Raptors? They lost Durant and Klay due to a devastating and career threatening injury.
That guy above got some point, but the possibility for the young Mavs are always there.

God forbid that injury, it's not fun to watch games when some players are injured, as much as possible we would like to see teams that are intact so they can give their best to compete for the championship. Mavericks are a young team, but they always have a chance. I understand that we might be bias so let's just consider our opinion as bias opinion.

Way back in 2011, it happened that the number 1 seed was eliminated by the number 8 seed team, this would tell us that nothing is impossible.

Memphis Grizzlies eliminate No. 1-seeded San Antonio Spurs | NBA playoffs

Maybe that time people are thinking that Memphis has no chance since Spurs are a pretty good team that time, but it happened.

Good point, but we are talking of championship here, how about we use some statistics.

According to https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/2ws9po/nba_finals_winners_by_seed/

It was posted 5 years ago but it might give us a picture on the chances.. so Dallas Mavericks is currently at number 7 (https://www.nba.com/standings) therefore its chance is 0%, can the mavericks break this trend?

It might be soon, but for now the number of infected are still increasing here in the Philippines. I know Philippine government still working on that. Hoping for there best  response if they allow to reopen the gambling industry or they have to remain it close for the safety of there people.
It was already decided that the opening of casinos will happen. Many countries have already opened back their economies as they're about to see the drought which will affect their countries heavily. Some sporting events were already about to open soon.
There's basis why they'll be doing this and let's just hope that most of these establishments that will comeback will adopt the new norm. And they won't be the reason for the addition of infected.
If the government will approve it, they also will ensure that they are monitoring the casinos properly. I think those who are under the strict monitoring of the government will be more safer, so if this would cause an addition to confirm cases, I believe they will not be the major contributor of it.
4788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another bitcoin scams hit Canada on: June 23, 2020, 10:30:08 AM
We must understand that scam has been with human and this will not end. Scammers always take an opportunity to operate, they new investors and traders including holders will one time or the other make use of the machine and if they see such will think it legit investment platform. Really appreciate those in authority who stood against such act in a country like Canada. Learning about some of these scam tactics will help secure our holdings and not fall guilty to scam, we should investigate every source before making any investment with them.

You are right, scams will stay and scammers will always find a way to scam people.

Maybe the government will learn and see that the crypto market is getting bigger already, and the only way to protect people from crypto is by regulating the market, that way, the market will gain confidence from investors and the government has a big role of making a drive in educating people about crypto.

Those who fall from scams are those who aren't aware that bitcoin are also used in scamming, if the market is regulated, it would be easier for them to check from the authorities and verify if such investment is legit or not.

This is never ending business since as long as there are money ready to be risk for sure many scammers will find an innovative ways to catch it, that's why sometimes I think it's better to teach this lesson on schools so that the new grown up will be aware about scams so that they will not fall on that schemes. This scamming incident is so alarming and government should impose a strict penalty to warn those scammers to continue this act.

There's always a penalty for every crime committed, but would we rather like to see the preventive measures than the penalty?
For me, I think they (government) need to focus on the preventive measures so the scammers would fail.
4789  Economy / Speculation / Re: Continue to Hold your bitcoin on: June 23, 2020, 09:53:53 AM
Good news, I think our country is more advance buying bitcoin through 7 eleven was already added years ago, but it's not directly you'll buy, we have our local exchange as a bridge or in short, 7 eleven is a partner of our local exchange.

today I saw an excellent news and I had to look for this thread to post this news:

LibertyX Allows BTC Purchases in Cash at 7-Eleven, CVS, and Rite Aid

this means that over time thousands of people started to stop buying bitcoin just to make Hodl and will start using bitcoin to buy things

Hold Bitcoin for now, I highly recommend,
most likely will go to $ 9700 now, it's already $ 9500, hopefully in the near future
currently, the price is really close to $ 9700. if you take advantage of the moment the price of bitcoin drops almost to $ 8k, then it will be profitable. Right now, I have a strong principle of not selling my assets until bitcoin reaches a price above $ 13500, and I'm still waiting with great confidence right now.

if the price breaks $10500 then the next big barrier will be $13000, so I think a good time to sell would be when the price broke $13000 and had a correction

Always sell at peak and buy the dip.

If it will fall it would be nice to accumulate again, but what if it continue to rise?
4790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 23, 2020, 08:58:43 AM
you can check the odds in https://nitrogensports.eu/sport/Basketball/NBA%20-%20Futures

It's also tempting me to take this odds now. What do you guys think?

I'm biased. My friends know that I'm a Dallas Maverick for a long-time so whatever the odds I'm placing a bet with them. Honestly, even at low odds playing around @0.3 to 0.4 I still picking them risking a decent amount to somehow feel the profit in return. I shared some of my bets here if I'm not mistaken. Of course, I'm doing it alongside my own analysis and not just simply placing a bet. During their championship season, they have a good record but they aren't even on the list of expected teams to become a champion that season. Not saying it will happen again but I'm just a biased lol.

So if I have to answer your question, YES "disregarding" those dominant teams.

But for the majority sports analyst, obviously, Mavericks isn't on their list to becomes a champion. I'm also with them but still, I will consider placing for the Mavericks Futures. So yeah, decision making will be based on your own view. Smiley

Well said, if we like the team, we can be bias and just like what you did, even knowing that Dallas has a pretty small chance based on experts analysis but you still back them, that's why makes it every exiting knowing that you also bet on your team while you are cheering them to win the competition.

Too early, maybe if they are in the playoffs, one series at a time, winning the first round might pump up the excitement more.

Indeed. I am also biased here.
Actually I am worse than that.
I am betting for 2 Western teams.  Grin
Denver and Dallas.
It is not about being fooled or about the odds. It is about support and being a pure fan.
Stats of Doncic could have soared but yeah it doesn't mean they will win the Finals.
But who knows? If suddenly Lakers and Clippers will have a consecutive bad night and Dallas and Denver will have good ones then it can be a win.
With little profits but a big smile.

How about Dallas vs Denver going against each other in the West Final, is it possible?
I like to see if the transformation of Jokic would be a big factor to help his team, yay! so excited for the resumption of the NBA.

Teams are getting ready to get back into shape. Would we see another D. Lillard scoring 50 point-game streak? Cheesy

Interested... I thought he will not play. lol... if he will, yes 50 is just a usual number for him.
4791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: June 23, 2020, 06:16:40 AM
~
AJ for me is not the same fighter anymore when he lose to Ruiz, although he redeemed himself through a rematch but coaches of Pulev surely found some weakness of AJ that they will target in this fight. You are right, the odds does not always true as no one would really know if who will win, so as a bettor, let's bet on the fighter which we think his betting odds has a good value.
Anthony Joshua was too confident in the first Ruiz fight and he did not expected him to be a threat and he might have taken the fight lightly and paid the price but he fought brilliantly in the rematch and by that time Ruiz went down the road without proper training and enjoying the instant fame he gained and that might have a significant role and if i am going by that then the Kubrat Pulev fight would be a tough one.

Joshua will be the favorite but i am not expecting Pulev to be a heavy underdog.

That's your opinion but in sports book he is a heavy dog, here's the betting odds that was shared in the previous page.

See that odds? that's $1100 winning for a $100 bet if Pulev wins, that's how people look at this chances against Joshua.

This odds also certainly predicts that it is going to be the one sided match and winning chances of Pulev is not much . But I am sure people would be placing bets on him as well considering the odds and just if by chance he wins then people will make big money on bets of his winning .
Personally I would not skip that opportunity to win x10 of my bet, though Pulev is old and might be going to retirement if he lose in this fight, I'll give him a shot. I will just treat this bet like a parlay bet where odds are high and but chances are low, it doesn't matter actually, I'll go with my instinct.

4793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 23, 2020, 03:32:20 AM
Some land-based casinos outside Manila were already allowed to resume operation.

There are Casinos in Pampanga that have been allowed to operate. Manila might open sooner as PAGCOR is only waiting for IATF.

GCQ in Metro Manila and other areas are expected to end by June 30, 2020. If that won't be extended again, all land-based casinos could be opened by next month.

That's a good news, slowly the economy and I guess instead of limiting businesses to operate, the government has to hire more enforcers of the law to monitor and to ensure that every covid-19 protocol are well observed and followed.

That's for updating us with the latest news.
When it comes to become in GCQ would still be in question if numbers of positives on daily basis do still remain in high values. We wont able to see a less-strict policy

specially if infected people do increase day by day but at least we are seeing small numbers of deaths gradually.I dont know if this would be effective but

government should always prioritize on crowd-control because these things will surely mess up.

That's why there is a protocol because it's purpose is to control the crowd, please don't expect that it will be the same scenario we will see in the past once PAGCOR will resume, just like other businesses, they have to adopt with the new normal.
4794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: June 22, 2020, 12:58:12 PM
It's the which will decide the odds and usually that would be use as the standard betting odds on different sports book, so we need to trust them as they are experts on their field. The odds right now in the sportsbook I'm currently using is not available yet so the odds shared above would be our basis now.
So, is there only a single oddsmaker in the world or are there many such oddsmaker? And if there are so many oddsmaker, how does that ratio be regulated across all platforms? Or each platform will have different odds? I am wondering about these, although I have been betting a long time ago but recently, I started to be curious about the things related to it. I hope I can discuss the odds on this topic too, Jollygood  Cheesy
AFAIK, there are different oddsmaker but they always follow the standard odds, otherwise it would be easy for the gamblers to do arbitrage betting when there is a difference, actually I spot a difference in the past but it can be rarely seen, it needs a lot of time.

4795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 22, 2020, 12:23:04 PM

I hope you are wrong because I also like to see Luka in bigger stage, like the NBA finals, and that is a big challenge as Mavericks needs to beat both the Lakers and the Clippers which I think they have a very little chance.

This discussion leads me to checking the betting odds for the Mavericks to win the NBA finals, and this is the odds.

+3000 (https://www.oddsshark.com/nba/championship-odds)

Mavs still needs a few more season, and a few more team chemistry. Their team is solid and there are couple of role players. If Luka can figure out how to improve his leadership skills asap, then I might say they'll for sure become a championship caliber team next season.
I myself would love to see Luka and Porzingis play in NBA finals. These two players are young and hungry to win a title, but what makes it more interesting is that teams in the NBA today has been more competitive than the past few seasons where the GSW and Cavs just easily dominate their respective conferences.

Anyway, that odd might change depends on how they'll perform when NBA resumes.

We are too quick to decide, let's see what they can do this season or this playoffs.

They are an underrated team, it's normal that people would think that they have a  small chance of winning as West is full of good teams but it's hard to conclude early as the ball is round and anything can happen. IMO, Luka is already a good leader, he has improved a lot and this is his first playoffs and if in case they will fail to win the championship, at least they will learn a lot.
4796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: June 22, 2020, 07:34:39 AM
Well, there is nothing to worry about your 10 weeks investment because all are doing fine and the profit or ROI was still there.
You still have a profit even we are on downtrend moment. It seems it is tempted me to invest somehow as well because it is sure you will see your profit without worrying about loss, --it almost convinced me now to find gambling sites that offer investment.
Indeed, I still following your thread for further information on gambling investment. Let us see on the next week where it goes your profit, continue down or it will up. Good luck!

5.69% of ROI for 10 weeks is a good return of investment already, that's around 2% profit per month, with bigger investment, you will feel the profit.
Let's say you invested 5 btc, then you will get at least 0.125 btc per month or equivalent to 1,179 usd per month, that's a good return, right?
4797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: June 21, 2020, 12:13:00 PM
That's what the odds are saying, but I might bet against your prediction as I love taking big odds.
Agree that AJ will probably have an overwhelming victory, but Pulev is not a fool. He is also a very strong opponent. Pulev knows the situation too. Therefore, I believe that he will have tactics as well as moves to prolong the battle or find an advantage for him. The odds are not always true, and so are our judgments.

AJ for me is not the same fighter anymore when he lose to Ruiz, although he redeemed himself through a rematch but coaches of Pulev surely found some weakness of AJ that they will target in this fight. 4798  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin worth so much ? on: June 21, 2020, 05:13:19 AM
Maybe you can also ask yourself, why gold is worth so much? With fiat you can transact easily, you can buy food on it, and it has a real use in our life.

That's just like bitcoin, it was bitcoin who introduce the crypto world so people are now treating bitcoin the king and though there are betting system or coin that will be introduce, it's not enough to replace bitcoin on its position.
4799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying the dips: do you have a specific criteria? on: June 21, 2020, 04:17:50 AM
I have a very simple criteria.

When the people panic and that resulted to bring the price significantly, like a drop of 20% and above, then I would always take that price as long as it was not coming from a big pump as it could be a correction that could further dump.

No one can perfectly predict the dip but as long as we buy at a good price, then we will be able to sell it in a short term since bitcoin will always recover especially if its oversold.
4800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: June 17, 2020, 11:29:26 PM
Going by what general consensus shows, Joshua will beat Pulev and Fury will beat Wilder. Pulev is probably going to never fight professionally again as his age will probably not allow it and Wilder will probably not fight again if he gets beaten by Fury again because his ego will not allow him to risk a third defeat.
I don't think so, I've seen a lot of fighters who are beaten many times already but they are still fighting, of course if Wilder will lose, although he lose twice but it's just from one fighter only, and he can still fight another boxer that could still generate money for him. Boxing is more on because of money, not because of ego, or whatsoever, these guys are living a different lifestyle than the normal people, so they need money for that which they can only get when they will keep fighting. Wilder at 34 years, he still have a lot of fights left even if he lose against Fury.

The rest of your statement, I agree with it.

It's really up to the boxer himself on how he will take his defeat and move and fight another day. Another good case is Ricky Hatton, when Pacquiao beat his ass, he was never been the same. In fact, news surface that we went into depression after that loss, doing drugs and stuff and he never fight again. The scar the fight put on him mentally was too much to handle for him. Maybe he generated so much money throughout his career that's why he chooses not stay out. However, he admitted it after many years that it was really devastated on him psychologically. So we will see what happens to Wilder if he is defeated in the trilogy.

Wilder is not going to retire, that's my prediction, and I even think that it will be hard for Fury to beat Wilder in the 3rd time, Wilder is also thinking of his future so it's going to be a slug·fest and we will like to see that as it's not a boring fight. We won't see the same Wilder, what we are going to see is a Wilder that is very aggressive in beating his opponent and I believe that will put pressure on Fury as he can't use his length advantage and he will be back on the conversation of the top boxers in the division.
