So, Brazilian players are cleared to play after all, their football association withdrew the ban request from FIFA.
Good for them but i hope these players got the message that was being communicated. You can't have players being recalled for national duty and in the midst of everything you choose to cut your journey short for other responsibilities, unacceptable!
To avoid finger pointing  these football calendars should be made in such a way that they don't clash with each other because this could have brought our football associations into conflict.
4782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wrong to be a long term holder on: September 11, 2021, 09:46:10 AM
Why do people refuse to take profits when their coins and tokens are surging so high?
It's about the strategy and exhilarating feeling...we all can't be scalpers that take small profits and all it a day. Others among us need to be high risk takers that will wait longer to take profits from their holdings/trades.

Should this be called greed or they simply have strong believe that the coins and tokens will worth more in future?
It's all about how much you believe and value these assets, the more attached you are the likelihood of holding longer.

Is it wrong to keep holding coins even when they bring 1000x profits cos everyone seem to be talking about 'greed' here and there
Greed does exist but holding on to a coin that has attained a 1000x is selfishness at its best.

India's upcoming cryptocurrency law seeks to balance stability and growth with a distinct approach: Jayant Sinha

NEW DELHI: In an event organised on September 7 by the Blockchain and Crypto assets Council (BACC) of Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), Jayant Sinha, the chairman of India’ s Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, said that India's cryptocurrency bill will have a distinct and unique approach for crypto regulation.

He confirmed that India’s crypto policies will not be along the lines of nations like the U.S, Japan or El Salvador as there is no full capital account convertibility in our country. Full account convertibility allows the exchange of a nation’s currency with foreign currency without any restrictions on the amount.
Sinha explained that considering India’s different set of challenges and circumstances, the crypto policy will work in the given direction.

The crypto policy of India will be dominated by concerns of national security. The minister emphasised on the need for strong vigilance against the misuse of cryptocurrencies and crypto assets for terror financing and domestic security threats.

* Indian crypto policy will strive to balance stability and growth in relation to the larger picture.

In the same event, former Reserve Bank of India Governor, Rama Subramaniam Gandhi said that once cryptocurrencies gain acceptance, the same rules that govern commodity exchanges could apply to them.

All these regulators will always sight terrorists financing but they forget that fiat is actually the worst alternative as compared to crypto which has all transactions recorded on the public ledger for all to see.

Medvedev had problems only in the 2nd set and his opponent missed 2 set points, the 3rd and last set he clearly played home.
Medvedev should count himself lucky because if those set points were won it would have changed the landscape of the game. But anyway his up against the best of the sport and did I mention his the defending champion....come on Djokovic bring it home.

Djokovic had to go over 5 exhausting sets against Zverev and only won the 5th set clearly when it was 5:0.

The longer regeneration phase could be an advantage for Medvedev tomorrow.
With players like Djokovic I don't see how this would disadvantage him. His had times that he would play a 5 set match and still win the following match six love, come on his being doing this for years and a reason he still remains number one. Come the finals day expect him to win this game.
4785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which tokens have a future? I need 3 of them on: September 10, 2021, 10:19:57 PM
This will be a bais list hope you can contain it.

1. Ethereum: for obvious  reasons it has housed  one of the biggest number of tokens on its blockchain and remains to be among the biggest blockchains we have seen this far. In terms of investing in Ethereum I don't mind taking the gamble as this isn't going anyway as it has established itself to be in this business for the long run.

2. Binance coin: another popular coin  probably a people's darling that i see to have a potential to dethrone eth from its biggest altcoin of our time, it has several attributes that make it better such as lower fees and the coins value keeps rising better than eth.

3. This was difficult to pick but I think I will give it to uniswap for its decentralized service which keeps growing in popularity and I don't think this will be going out anytime soon.

4786  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-09-11] Biden’s SEC is ready to regulate cryptocurrency on: September 10, 2021, 10:11:28 PM
Cryptocurrency has an SEC problem — and it just got bigger.

The Biden administration is taking a more hands-on approach to the highly volatile, little understood, and barely regulated cryptocurrency industry. Cryptocurrencies are decentralized digital currencies secured by blockchain technology. Bitcoin, ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies have become almost as accessible as government-issued currency in recent years, but the government offers few consumer protections for them.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) — led by Gary Gensler, who taught a class on cryptocurrency at MIT — is trying to make the case that it can and will regulate whatever cryptocurrency investment schemes it decides fall under its purview. The relative newness and rapid expansion of the cryptocurrency industry have put it in a regulatory gray area. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) classifies crypto as property. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) considers crypto to be a commodity. And the SEC has said that digital assets “may be securities, depending on the facts and circumstances.” A security is a financial asset that can be traded, like stocks and bonds, and which is governed by several laws designed to prevent fraud and protect investors.

The SEC appears to have decided that an upcoming offering from Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, meets its definition of a security. And it’s showing that it will step in and regulate it accordingly — and, by extension, regulate the rest of the crypto finance industry more assertively.

Unbelievable  Leylah Fernandez won her game and is through to the finals, wasnt strong enough to see the match but just checked on my bet and I won and she keeps breaking everyone in her way and she is indeed a giant slayer! She has had to play 5 players from the top 10 and which includes former US Open champions, talk of building your sports resume in the best possible way all in one competition...

Let's not beat about the bush British teenager Emma Raducanu stands no chance this one is going out to Leylah Fernandez, she can't lose it now.
4788  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-09-08] Suffolk county worker charged with running illegal mining farm on: September 10, 2021, 04:34:41 PM
Oh yeah, there is a Suffolk county in the US also Grin I was starting to think about what's happening in good old England with all these electricity stealing cases lately.
Am pretty sure these caught up in this are just experimenting to see if this is profitable,  anyone playing to mine long term wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of the law because they risk losing their investment once caught.

I had the same discussion with a colleague at work, he was wondering how long it's going to take before somebody makes some suitcase like miners packed with graphic cards and comes at work, plug this in, and pouts it under his desks and mines for free, then leaves as nothing happens with everyone else. I know it sounds ridiculous but I'm sure he's not the only one who thought about it.
Imagine snacking at McDonald's while having a miner under your feet plugged to the wall.  Grin

Lol I like how you just thought out of the box and am certain someone out there is thinking of exactly this kind of plug and play package to mine some crypto but this kind would mean that it's hardly mining 24/7 which is the best way to get optimal results.

Btw this sounds like something found in some James Bond movie Tongue
4789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB be worth $1,000? on: September 10, 2021, 04:04:06 PM
At the current price of the Binance coin what we asking for is a 2x which in crypto is a very possible target to reach in the crypto world. People have invested in coins and aimed for 10x which has been achieved and why should a coin like Bnb fail when it's among the most promising projects and backed by the best centralized exchanges of today,I don't see this to be an impossible target.

Maybe next year or the other, this should be achieved depending on how the crypto ecosystem behaves from now on.
4790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake token in wallet on: September 10, 2021, 03:57:30 PM
I have found myself receiving coins after a transaction on a number of different  occasions and this has happened on both the Ethereum blockchain and bsc chain and I don't know why people send these coins which hold no value at all.

But as I understand most of these coins are meant to mimic the real coins hence when it comes to exchanging them the hackers are likely to have the real coin and leave you with the bogus coins and not that the hacker will have access to my wallet...
4791  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: September 10, 2021, 01:41:01 PM
Price will always go down or up depending on different factors of the market, it could be bad regulations being passed and a crash could be used as a way to protest this move, sometimes this happens because selling orders which were pending get  filled which sees price dip if they were more in the market than we had buyers.

But going as low as the price we saw in 2018-2019 I doubt it.

Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea & Man Utd hit as eight Brazilian players barred from playing in Premier League

The likes of Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, Gabriel Jesus, Ederson and Fred will be unavailable for their Premier League clubs this weekend

Premier League teams including Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United will be without a host of star players this weekend after the row between English clubs and the Brazilian Football Association escalated dramatically.

FIFA, Goal can confirm, has informed clubs that the controversial 'five-day rule' will be imposed by the Brazilian FA, who are angry that players were withdrawn from the latest round of World Cup qualifiers.

That would prevent eight players from five clubs from featuring in this round of domestic fixtures, although it has emerged that Everton forward Richarlison will be allowed to play this weekend, due to the Toffees' strong relationship with the Brazilian federation. Richarlison was allowed to play for Brazil in the Olympic Games in Beijing earlier this summer.

What is the five-day rule?

The five-day rule is designed to protect international teams from unnecessary, club-influenced withdrawals.

Players who are not released for international duty can, in accordance with FIFA, be banned from featuring for their clubs for a five-day period following the conclusion of international fixtures. In this instance, that period covers September 10-14.

I understand we all want to build strong teams for our countries but am left wondering what happens if you don't want to play for your country does this rule sstill apply to such players....and should this five day rule be punishment to these EPL players??

4795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk accidentally created a new cryptocurrency. WTF? on: September 10, 2021, 09:02:16 AM
I won't seat here and pretend that this guy is an influence on the crypto market,  but it might not be his doing but some shadow society leveraging whatever he says to their advantage.  For a person like Musk who is always talking I want to believe floki isn't his project but someone else's and trying to cash on these speculations.

Do you think this is another attempt to influence the crypto market?
His already an influence he doesn’t need to attempt anything....whatever he says people buy in into his rantings.

Will the project be eco-friendly, because in the case of chia, everything was not so positive? There are already green projects on the market, for example, Crypton , for mining which only needs Internet access and a PC.
All I know is that going green isn't cheap and it takes time to archive but along the way we all have to use sustainable energy sources.

Is all the excitement around the project really a hype? Like chiahype and etc.?
No clue about chiahype

Billy Gilmour and Conor Gallagher have been sent out on loan to Norwich City and Crystal Palace respectively this season with their chances in the first team eat Stamford Bridge so far having been rather limited.

And if Saul makes his stay permanent, having arrived on loan from Atletico Madrid, and the club said to be lining up a move for England midfielder Declan Rice, the pair may decide to move on permanently.

4797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ethereum taking the crown from Bitcoin as ehtereum reaches $4000 on: September 09, 2021, 11:02:36 PM
Bitcoin dictates how the market sentiments will be like and already as we all know there was a slight dip which saw bitcoin go down pulling all other altcoins with it into the deep which is a clear indication that bitcoin is still king and will call the shots.
As for Ethereum let's give it some credit, it is the king of altcoins and that is something no altcoin will take away from it but won't dethrone btc.
4798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: End of bull run so we sell everything? on: September 09, 2021, 06:13:37 PM
You don't sell everything because market just crashed as this could only mean two things,  either you playing in the hands of the whales, probably manipulators trying to win cheap coins off the market or it could simply be a correction.  But if you have to sell ,sell.. but the rules of crypto remain...buy low and sell high so see this as an opportunity to buy the dip and sell when the price of bitcoin recovers and its at its high.
4799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 09, 2021, 06:09:41 PM
I can't believe it that the Djokovic vs Zverev match happened in the semi finals... this should have been a final for us but nevertheless we all know the joker is equal to the task and he will be in the finals for sure. Should he progress which he will I see a Serbia vs Russia final awaiting us which should push Djokovic for another grand slam once he wins the US Open.

And the young talent Leylah Fernandez is still on my wildcards to win this one,any body putting some money on her but this lady Sabalenka is quite good.
4800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: September 08, 2021, 08:31:26 PM
The match between Poland and England looked easy judging from the odds, the match has fewer goals than expected , and with less than 10 minutes to go I don't see a change of current score line which would have devastated many punters had Kane not gotten that go for them!
And looking at most games of the day, I think most of the favourites have won comfortably and hope you guys won too If you put some money on the games...
