481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Business That Survives when a Crisis on: April 01, 2020, 04:18:22 AM
Esports tournaments actually do get cancelled due to real-life events, especially when it comes to major tournaments which are common with games like DOTA 2 and CS:GO. There are also exclusively online tournaments, but they're usually reserved for smaller events and lower-tier matchups and it's generally ideal that higher-tier teams play in person.

On the CS:GO side of things, the anticheat programs employed in third party services outside of Valve's own system are actually extremely sophisticated and manage to filter out almost all cheaters, but there are indeed incidents where external devices are used to cheat and such, but those incidents are generally very isolated.
Recently there is a charity game event in DOTA 2 where there is a big prize pool that will donate to frontliners like doctors, nurses, health workers,  police and many more; and also to people who lose their job because of the quarantine. My friends and I planned to bet against each other, I bet in the game of TNC vs Adroit (I'm in favor with TNC)  and I lose there because the winner is Adroit but for me it is okay because there is an internal agreements within my friends that whoever losses in the game, will donate another 20% of the money that we bet.

483  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Location of Bitcoin ATMs in the Philippines [will update from time to time] on: March 31, 2020, 01:44:56 PM
484  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Crash Back to 3800$ on: March 31, 2020, 12:25:24 PM
It is just a mere prediction, most of traders are losing money in the market because they keep believing in predictions of those self proclaimed gurus and analysts. I do not say that all of their opinions are not correct but ask yourself why you will believe to them. Maybe their are people who are believing to them because they are too lazy to do their own analysis. Rely on price actions and always be smart especially if you see many posts about the prediction. I do not say that it is impossible to get down again the price of bitcoin but it is just a prediction after all.
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: March 31, 2020, 05:22:49 AM
No, even during locked down I avoid spending my money on unnecessary things. We don't know how long will this pandemic last or how worst the situation will go. The economy of other countries are starting to fail and the number of people dying each day is increasing.
Exactly, even it's on your safe crypto wallet/s or on your physical wallet being thrifty always give positive results at the end. The government will not be always responsive to its community if ever you haven't food to eat at your table there will always be delays and it's good if you have something you pick on your pocket if worst to come you'll be on shortage.
For those who stopped their cash flow due to the outbreaks, it is really better if they will be thrifty in order to save money and survive in this current lockdown. Many people lose their jobs because of the outbreak and we cannot survive if we will not be a smart in terms of spending our money. Gambling should not be our first option necause our money is at risks and we should focus on buying foods and other necessary things.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIR DROPS ! wasting time or not? on: March 30, 2020, 12:39:22 PM
Airdrops is really wasting time because those participants waiting several months to wait the project done but after that they need to wait again another few months to prpve the project is legit but suddenly most of the project are really scam.

A scammer group use air drops to promote their scam projects so many people will invest too and lose money only the project of the team get benefits and both promoters and investors are wasting time also losing their capital.
Because of so many scams like this, we need to participate in airdrops in a selective and scientific way. Only join the airdrops of the projects listed at the exchange, they will definitely distribute tokens after the airdrop is over and we can sell them anytime we want.
But that kind of airdrops are now very rare where a certain company is giving free token for all particiate that are tradeable in some exchanges. For those people who will join in airdrop nowadays,  it is only a waste of time because most of it are failing. It is better if you will only use your time and effort in joining in signature campaigns where you can generate income.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Betting Double After Losing is Really a Good Decision? on: March 30, 2020, 06:45:50 AM
In my experience everything will be base how lucky you are regardless of what game it is. Making your bets double is like you're willing to lose your money, we know this is very risky because you cant be certain if you're going to win or not. Its good if you win but what if you lose? Using this strategy can result of further losses and whats worse is it can be the reason for a gambler to become addicted because of trying to recover back what they have lost.
It is because of the greed that we are feeling and that is why there are people who double their bets after lose money. For me it is not good strategy because if you do that,  it only means that you cannot control your emotions which is the greed. People are frequently losing by doubling their bets, be careful on the decisions that we will make because it can results to incur more losses and we cannot able to regain it easily.
489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will this trading technique work ? on: March 30, 2020, 04:53:40 AM
Your plan will work if you always buy at a low price and sell high it won't work on a daily basis but if you don't care about the fees and you have a big trading budget you can do it on daily basis.

But for me, it's always good to trade without timeframe because you have flexible to if when you are going to sell or buy. If the price actually increases you can sell and make a profit. So, keep in mind that you should always buy at a low price and sell high which is an old strategy but it always works. Sometimes feelings are one of the problems when deciding to sell your holdings don't follow this because it will end up losing your profit. Just don't forget to use the stop loss higher than the price of your BTC to reduce or to avoid losing.
We have different point of views afterall and that is why for me it will not work. I'm a technician where I rely my decisions base on price action, relying on that kind of data is not enough because you will never know when is the lowest point it can get; it is like falling knives where you cannot determine the bottom. The risks are high but it is your strategy after all,  the most important thing is you are able to make money from your trading technique.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: March 30, 2020, 03:20:37 AM
New projects are keep failing and it is a sad reality,  before we saw a lot of icos that are becoming successful but nowadays only few who that have guts to list their coin have good liquidity in the market. I'm a investor before but today I'm not investor anymore because of the high risks where I can lose big amount of money. I prefer to trade than to invest to projects nowadays where there is no guarantee of return.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: March 30, 2020, 02:04:47 AM
Since almost all casinos and other gambling places are closed due to coronavirus threats, we cannot go to those places and we cannot gamble. The only thing we can do right now is to gamble online.
Covit-19 destructive effect just not only put effect on offline casinos but also on online based casino platforms are affecting. Gamblers are struggling to manage fund for continuing their gambling activities. Due to cautionary lock down and home quarantine its quite tough to withdraw money from local banks. In my opinion a large number of people are struggling to manage daily food where all most all super shops & stores have lack of supplies. In a situation like this only they are able to continue their gambling who have got a good amount of crypto funds.

Even sports are postponed so we cannot do sports betting.
I don't think sports betting will gonna start very soon and obviously worldwide sports management authorities will take extra time to make all the game LIVE again.
Due to the lockdown many people get bored because of the casinos that have been closed due to the pandemic which is the covid-19. It is true that not only the casinos in our cities that are currently affected, even the online casinos and online gambling sites like sports betting are also affected. Most of the sports games are already force closed to stop the spreading of the virus. It will really take time to see that casinos will be open again to the public.
492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrency price is coming back. on: March 29, 2020, 02:18:39 PM
I do not think so that the price is now coming back again because it is only a false breakout, like what happened on the price of the bitcoin. It breakout in the resistance around $6400 but the sellers overcome the buyers that pushed the price into $5700 per each. The consolidation will take more time so we should always be careful because we are still in the bear market.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all projects are bad on: March 29, 2020, 06:31:22 AM
We should change the term "not" into "most" because not all of current projects are bad but most of it is bad. Projects nowadays are too risky for me and that is why I keep ignoring it because I do not want anymore to invest my money into something that is too risky. I prefer to invest my money in gambling than to participate in projects in this current year because I have more control over my money.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here succeeded a friend to play online gambling now that casino are close on: March 29, 2020, 04:27:13 AM
My aunt goes to casinos a lot. For the mean while, I suggested that she plays online casino to avoid the risk of the virus. Some of her friends are secretly gathering in their own house to continue gambling and I discourage this because the global pandemic is no joke. Online casinos are the best alternative due to the lockdown.
Most of my family relatives are interested and addicted to play in casinos and I also says that they should stop playing because of the risks of having Covid-19. But the good thing is the government in my country force closed all of the casinos and off shore games in my country because of the community quarantine. I do not want to teach them online casinos and gambling sites because it can lead to them to become addicted to it.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you use for gambling frequently? on: March 29, 2020, 03:07:52 AM
With the market declining, it is not wise to gamble with BTC. Especially the transaction fee in using major crypto such as ETH and BTC. That is why gambling platforms with several alternatives such as XRP, DOGE, TRX and other alts is a good attraction for convenience.
But the thing is,  gamblers are now used to gamble with btc and even the market is declining; they are still using it because it is where they are comfortable. I do gambling also and I also use BTC in gambling, the majority of the gamblers are using bitcoin for gambling. For me it is more convenient than to use any alts but the bad side is the fee that can considered as expensive.
I also frequently use bitcoin as coin for me to gamble, but there are times that I use xrp or eth in gambling sites that have feature about using and depositing alternate cryptocurrencies. But the thing is it is not really important on what coin that we are using when we gambling because the important thing is we should make money when we do gamble in order to grow our fund.
496  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: March 29, 2020, 02:10:16 AM
Honestly, fiat currencies are getting affected as much as bitcoin for the simple reason that they are bigger and bitcoin is smaller, so bitcoin gets affected smaller and fiat gets affected bigger but it is proportional so they get affected the same because of their size.

Nobody thinks about how liquidity is marginally lower on bitcoin, so when 200 billion dollars withdraw from stock market it goes down, when 1 billion is withdrawn from bitcoin it gets affected the same, that is the trouble here. We need a lot more people and a lot more money in bitcoin to survive these kinds of stuff and not be bothered by the small withdrawals. There are so many companies who are invested in crypto now, when they want to get out they create a panic that causes everyone to get out.
It is true that bitcoin is also affected and not only those in financial markets like stocks, indices and forex. We experienced massive dumped in previous days and it only indicates that there is also panicked that happened in this market.  But the good thing is the recovery of the bitcoin which happens in days only, it only indicating that there are still a lot of buyers that who are willing to risk their money even though there is a panic.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will the gambling addicts do now that the casinos have closed? on: March 28, 2020, 01:34:18 PM
For sure casinos in Las Vegas are now closed because of the lockdown, but I'm sure that the gamblers there are finding ways in order to spend their money. I know that they are also aware to online gambling sites and casinos and they are using it in order to kill their boredom. Those gambling addicts will find ways in order to gamble their money because it is now became their lifestyle.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think this is a good strategy ? on: March 28, 2020, 11:22:25 AM
Usually, people using stop loss are at a lower price than the purchase, if it is put at the same price as the purchase, it will be easier to sell and will waste a lot of trading costs. Should consider stop loss to be important.
Setting stop loss will ensure that you are not losing as long as the price starts to increase. Your idea is already good enough and if you keep on doing this, you will really make profits. But i suggest to hold your coins a longer time because there are high chances that you will gain more once you see the market keeps on pumping.

Setting up a stop loss is one of the best options for a trader not to lose higher amounts. Holding will also give a good amount of returns if you manage to choose the coin wisely. You are right, once the market starts recovering we might see the prices of altcoins will recover very quickly and this will ensure the growth of your holdings.

Setting up the stop loss is a good strategy because it can protect someones capital. Before I enter in a trade, I make sure first that I have good stop loss strategy in order to be prepared when the wave turned back to me. I trade with bias but not always that my bias is happening, we should always be prepared and it is by doing stop loss in order to lessen the risks and losses that we may incurred.
499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not as risky as many think. on: March 28, 2020, 10:00:58 AM
It will be safe to say that Bitcoin was risky in 2010 during its teething days when a lot of people thought it was a scam but now we can only safely use the term "Volatility". Of course, every trader knows that Bitcoin is here to stay and this eliminates the "risk factor". What every trader needs do is look for a convenient low and then buy. Even if price goes up immediately after buying, don't panic. Price will one day cross your buy line. I know there were traders who bought at ATH and definitely are still hodling till date and waiting for price to go up back. Whereas there were altcoins bought at ATH but these altcoins have completely disappeared today.

In that time bitcoin was unknown, nobody could say that bitcoin will become what it is now and be 100% certain in that. Every beginning is hard, bitcoin made it to come here and gaining more popularity every year. I always thought that every person should try trading, at least to try, it's risky but it can be interesting and profitable if you figure it out. If that doesn't work just buy and hold, definitely crypto is not something anyone should miss. There's something for everyone, and there are so many ways to do something and make money, people just need to make some effort and try it!
I will not agree for those people who saying that bitcoin is not a risky investment, it is very risky investment especially for those who do not have enough knowledge about what it is and what it is uses.  The volatility of the bitcoin is what bitcoin makes a risky investment we should understand its price action in order to have an idea on what we will do especially in trading of it. Many people fail from it because of theu lack of knowledge, if we want to become a trader we should first invest in our knowledge.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: March 28, 2020, 04:56:24 AM
That is good for you because you did not play gambling in 1 month , sometimes they have time that we can't play because the place we go there is no internet connection. But actually we really want to pkay but we don't have choice because there is no way for us to gambling when I take vacation before in Island for almost 1 week only but after I return on that day I play and I miss gambling.
Having a break in gambling also necessary, even those popular gamblers also take some vacation from gambling to spend time and enjoy with their love ones. As a gambler, it's not good if we do it on a daily basis, we are not robot, we have our needs and we also have to mingle with other people, that way we will minimize the risk of getting addicted in gambling.
Break is important because it heals our trading psychology and it is also the time that we can free from stress. For those who lose big amount of money in gambling, break is necessary in order to throw all of the emotions and also to have a better and good decisions. My longest break reached 6 months and for me it is too long because that time I focus on trading and not in gambling.
