481  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW to 100% avoid SCAM ICOs on: October 23, 2018, 03:07:13 AM
To make 100% to avoid scam is impossible because even the good project can turn into scam if one of their team member do,but you can prevent it by doing some research of the project you want to invest, escrow for an ICO i think it is not posible.
Also not all the projects that fail are scams, you just need to look at the world of businesses to know that most of them fail even if the owners had all the desire to become successful, and the same applies to the ico market, there are many good persons out there that are trying to develop something new but they are underestimating the difficulty and the costs that it will take and so the project will eventually fail.
Successful projects/owners dont really easily achieve that state because it would really need to convince the community to have that kind of support.Achieving success wont really happen just overtime but it would really need lots of factors to be seen until it would able to get such support. You are right that there are serious project owners that do really strive to succeed but difficulties would be faced wont really be that easy.
This is especially true at a moment like this where the market of cryptocurrencies is not really growing and where it may seem like we are not going to see a bull market in a long time, so many developers are facing a terrible choice, do they try to start their project even when no one seems to want to invest in it or do they wait? But if they do wait then it is possible another project gets a first move advantage over them.
482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Careful with Social Media Tips on: October 23, 2018, 02:53:13 AM
Yes and No. Depends on your source of information. I usually follow traders who give out tips in twitter. They don't only give tips they also provide technical analysis backed by historicals and trends, not just by hunch or wild guess. However, better watch out on those who give tips for a fee, because sometimes what they gave out already is late, meaning someone is ahead of you who also paid a fee.
If you have found some reliable sources of tips then you are free to follow their advice but I will never invest my money based on what I read in social media, if I am going to lose my money I am going to do it following my own predictions about the market because I do not want to lose my money and then lament the fact that I followed the advice of someone that I do not even know.
483  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin were more than 100K, how much you would buy? on: October 23, 2018, 02:42:19 AM
That only depends on the availability of my money because that's really a big amount if you wanted to buy it as a whole. For me, i will just have a slice of it of 2,000$ maximum and that will be pretty good figure for me to hold.
If bitcoin became that valuable I will try to buy other coins since it is likely that the fees of bitcoin could be very high if the lightning network is not ready, besides if you are really looking for ways to make money in this market then if bitcoin reached that price then it will be too late to invest in it and it will be better to keep your sight in promising altcoins instead.
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 years anniversary, what good news are you expecting come 2019?. on: October 23, 2018, 02:31:01 AM
As much as i wanted for bitcoin to have a high price this coming 2019, i also wanted my alt coins to rise to boost the morale of others holding the same alt coins with me. It's already expected that when bitcoin rise, the major alt coins that i have will also rise.
Most people have a way of thinking like you, expecting the price of bitcoin to increase but what i expected is bitcoin will become a means of payment.
What it is interesting is that once bitcoin is used once again as a medium of payment then its price is going to go up once again since its usefulness as a currency will now be there as well, while right now most people are using bitcoin just as a way to invest or at worst just as a way to speculate and try to earn some short term profits in this market.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earn up to 50 ETH on: October 18, 2018, 09:05:42 PM
That was a very big goal for a short time, but in crypto it is possible, but not 100% sure. You can buy some coins, preferably in ICO, and then first hope that the ICO is not a scam, and second that the coins it offers will succeed and not die in massive dumping.
The chances of earning money right now with icos are terrible I know the possibility is there but in order to obtain significant profits you will need to invest a significant amount of money and I am not willing to do that when more than 90% of the coins are scams or are managed by people that have no knowledge about how they are going to accomplish what they promised.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risks are still "stalking" Bitcoin users on: October 18, 2018, 08:51:20 PM
It is normal for investors to fear about the high price fluctuation about bitcoin because considering the past prices and current price we can definitely consider bitcoin as a asset with high volatility that makes some investors to hesitate during investment because risk factor is much higher but it is a necessary thing to take if they really want to make big money through bitcoin investments because high price fluctuation is the main advantage in bitcoin to make considerable profit margins for traders
While it is obvious that an asset with a greater volatility can give greater profits at the same time you need to ask what kind of trader or invest are you? I say this because a lot of people think they can manage the volatility of bitcoin and then when they need to face it they realize they cannot but by that time it is simply too late, and most likely they are going to lose money as a result of their miscalculation.
487  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you think the market is down right now? on: October 18, 2018, 08:33:31 PM
I agree that whales manipulate the market. It is profitable for them that people sell coins at low positions. That's how they make money.
I have no doubt that the whales manipulate the market, that is true but there is a limit to the amount of manipulation that they can do, they cannot create bull markets or bear markets only by themselves, at most they can make the price of bitcoin go up or go down a few hundred dollars and then benefit out of it by selling at the top but that is it.
of course whales must get support from the news. so it is not uncommon for them to create a news to support their business. at this time we can see that prices are back down. and hopefully no one panics, because it is approaching the end of the year
That is another form of manipulation and I have no doubt that the whales are participant of it as well, but in that field they have a lot of competition because as know governments are trying to use the media to stop the adoption of bitcoin and they have done this with some success, so even if the whales try to influence the market that way I am not so sure how effective they can be.
488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you stomach the dips? on: October 18, 2018, 08:04:43 PM
From the time you created this thread, the cryptocurrency market has dropped more than you expected. It drops more than 50% since December 2017. The market hasn't recover since then and actually it is still on the decline. But, you just need to hold on because these situations will surely pass.
Holding is the right choice but when the coins you are holding lose 60% or more of its value in a matter of weeks and months then we need to admit that it is hard to do, holding is very easy when you are making profits but when your losses are so massive, holding your coins can be one of the most difficult things to do in the world and I understand all of those that have sold their coins even if that was the wrong choice.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: here you have it economists speak against bitcoin on: October 18, 2018, 07:46:19 PM
Economists will stop criticizing and oppose the bitcoin as it becomes a global currency.
Not really I think they are going to oppose bitcoin until the end, they are never going to admit that they were wrong about bitcoin because if they do then they are basically giving up and admitting that all of what they believed was wrong and it is very difficult to get people to accept that, it is more likely that they will prefer to live in denial than to accept the truth.
490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Bitcoin Now For end off year 2018 on: October 18, 2018, 03:26:35 AM
What Do you think, whether the price of bitcoin will be able to break the price of  $9000 the end of this year, as Mike Novogratz said
What Do you think, whether the price of bitcoin wont-break $9000 the end of this year, as Mike Novogratz said

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-wont-break-9-000-this-year-galaxy-digitals-novogratz-says

and is this the right time for us to buy bitcoin?
Thank you for the advice
It really depends on your expectations about the market and what you are trying to achieve, if you are willing to hold your coins for the long term even if the market doesn't go up at the end of the year then this seems like the perfect moment to buy bitcoin, but if you are determined to try to make money if the market goes up at the end of the year then it could be a good idea to wait until there are more clear signs that will happen.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Future on: October 18, 2018, 03:17:43 AM
What does everyone think of Neos future, short term or long term
NEO is one of those coins that are going to be in the market for a very long time so if you are holding NEO then you should not be worried at all but the only thing you need to do is to keep track of it and see when the price begins to show signs that it could go up so you can buy as much as you can afford this is a strategy that can be very effective in the market.
492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just one coin... on: October 18, 2018, 03:08:33 AM
Bitcoins gives everyone a great opportunity to have a better living and bright future. Also it helps our economic problem. It minimized the jobless. Those who doubt in bitcoin and think negatively are thosr people who really don't know and understand whay is bitcoin and why it was created.
Bitcoin does not give the opportunity to everyone only to those that take the time to research about it and that have decided to invest in it, everyone else that does not are going to be very envious of all of us that did, but the opportunity was there for everyone to take it and most people are going to choose not to do it because they are going to be afraid of this new technology even if that does not make a lot of sense.
493  Economy / Speculation / Re: What factors make Bitcoin rise again? on: October 18, 2018, 02:55:03 AM
the factor that makes the price of bitcoin rise again seems like there is good news that can trigger an increase in the price of bitcoin again and make the price of bitcoin can be very expensive again.
Good news are critical to make the price of bitcoin to go up, I know that there are many people that decide to ignore the news because they do not believe in the sources but sometimes there are many positive news in a row and this makes the price of bitcoin to go up, that is precisely what happened the last time we got a bull market and this is also the reason of why we got the bear market in the first place.
494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Easy to bring down BTC price? on: October 18, 2018, 02:19:38 AM
Bitcoin is currently have the biggest market cap between all crypto, i think only whales possible to manipulate the price. Many early adopter of Bitcoin bought alot of  BTC with very cheap  in 2010, and some of them holding about 1% of total supply so will be more easy for them to manipulate the price.
It seems there is an impression that many early adopters are still holding their coins and that is simply not true, many early adopters sold their coins immediately or they used them to buy stuff back in the day, only the most fervent believers in bitcoin held their coins believing that something like this could happen anytime soon, so even if people do not like their influence they deserve it.
495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Regulations For Cryptocurrency? on: October 17, 2018, 04:07:13 AM
Hello, would love to get your opinion on this topic. Do you think there would be more regulations regarding cryptocurrency by the Government? Both now and the future? Let’s say bitcoin price rises to $100,000 per bitcoin, Do you think the government would actually let it be and function on its own without constant regulations? Well, personally I think we would see more regulations from the government down the line to a 1 Trillion Dollars total market cap and above. But I’m positive such regulations won’t hamper on the further growth and advancement of cryptocurrency. So tell me, what do you think?
It is obvious at least to me that as cryptocurrencies become more and more valuable that we are going to see a greater amount of regulation applied to them, this is not really surprising governments understand very well that cryptocurrencies can create a lot of problems for them in the long term and they are trying to prevent that, but unfortunately for them they are going to fail.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I am buying bitcoins - and why I am keeping them. on: October 17, 2018, 04:01:44 AM
I buy Bitcoins but I don’t keep. I had plans to keep them last year when the price was increasing, but when it dropped from $19k to $17k, I had no other option than to sell everything immediately before it gets to my cost price and I begin to lose everything.

This year I bought a few Bitcoin but the way I’m seeing it I might not be holding it for long cause, unless it becomes stable. I heard that the price will even fall more.
Buying bitcoin right now is probably one of the best things that anyone can do, do not listen to the rumor that say that bitcoin can go even lower because most likely that rumor is false, I know that a lot of people are nervous because of what happened with the crash that we saw the beginning of this year, but now it is almost impossible to see a crash like that occurring now that the price is so low.
497  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trading experience on: October 17, 2018, 03:52:08 AM
It's not rational to trust trading decisions to anyone. Its need understand that, having such a resource, people can always abuse it for their own selfish purposes. For example is the banal pump of the coin they need. You can get acquainted with points of view, but trading on signals is the last thing.
And even if it's not rational there are a lot of people that are looking for something like that, and the reason is simple they do not want to make the effort to try to find good coins to invest by themselves, they know it's hard and they do not want to learn because they are too lazy, that is why they are depending on the information given by other people to try to earn money.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become the reserve currency of the world? on: October 17, 2018, 03:13:16 AM
Do you think Bitcoin will become the reserve currency of the world sometime in the future? I was wondering about this since Bitcoin is now a widely used cryptocurrency worldwide. Since most altcoins in the market today, are dependent on Bitcoin's price movements, it seems like Bitcoin is the reserve currency of cryptocurrencies.

However, if Bitcoin tends to become more popular each day, it could eventually take the USD's place as the reserve currency of the world. Hence, what are your thoughts about this? Will it happen or not?  Huh
It doesn't seem very likely that bitcoin is going to become a reserve currency anytime soon, before that happens bitcoin will need to become a currency, I know that bitcoin is a currency from the very beginning but people are not using it like it, so to begin with we need people to begin to use bitcoin in that way and only then we can think about the possibility of bitcoin becoming a reserve currency.
499  Economy / Economics / Re: Five reasons 2018 could be the best year yet for cryptocurrencies. on: October 17, 2018, 02:56:47 AM
Maybe 2019 will be better, so far 2018 has not been the best year in any case not price, not volume, not user count. People have been getting away from bitcoin and all crypto together thinking the price has been going low constantly and the stagnancy of the price after the drop has not have been recovering and that's not helping as well.

2018 was the year bitcoin and all crypto just stands still and waits, waits for something to happen so it can get to a bigger movement yet it is not. Good part is the "drop" is not too much, even tho we are in a bear market the price is still high compared to what it used to be except december.
It is true that the year of 2017 was many times better than the year 2018 but it was impossible for this year to be as good as the previous one, it doesn't matter what kind of asset we are holding, its impossible to have two incredible years in a row, so to me it is completely understandable that this year has been nothing more than a disappointment but it's very likely that the next year or the year after will be better.
500  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin were more than 100K, how much you would buy? on: October 12, 2018, 02:50:11 AM
if the price of bitcoin can be as expensive as that price then surely I will still buy bitcoin when bitcoin can still be useful and still be able to provide profit at any price I will buy because I can still benefit from bitcoin price movements.
At that point if bitcoin was that valuable then it's very likely that instead of buying bitcoin I will try to trade it and obtain profits that way, because it's going to be impossible for me to buy bitcoin with my savings, however it could be entirely possible to earn a lot of bitcoin if you have the necessary skills to become a good trader and you have to discipline to follow your system.
