481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: you have profit in all airdrop? on: September 21, 2019, 11:16:13 PM
As you already know, Aidrops require no form of financial commitment and therefore tasks performed are tasks that are performed regularly on a daily basis even at no cost. So if we partake of a tasks that has rewards without financial commitment, I consider it to be profitable

484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government-issued cryptocurrencies...Are they the Future? on: September 06, 2019, 09:51:39 PM
I do not consider the government issued cryptocurrency as the way forward as the aim of blockchain is to eliminate trust systems and also decentralize systems. When the government creates a cryptocurrency, the logically have control to an extent over the cryptocurrency as its all monitored. Cryptocurrency shouldn't be created by government to ensure its true decentralization
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Back From The Dead? on: September 06, 2019, 09:48:11 PM
I can not accept the fact that ethereum went out of the space, No. Ethereum is updating and also upgrading to a version 2.0 which promises to be more faster in processing transaction and truthfully, it has scaled up since some updates in the first quarter of the year
Ethereum has also created a platform for other projects to leverage on and that is enough reason to keep ethereum in lime light as almost 80% of crypto projects exists on ethereum block chain.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your opinion on COSS Crypto Exchange and their daily income token COS? on: September 06, 2019, 09:45:07 PM
Edit: Updating the thread with information on the exchange and token as many people have asked about it.

COSS exchange is a top cryptocurrrency exchange that offers several trading pairs against the most popular base pairs including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and XRP. The exchange is located in Singapore and has a headquarters you can walk in and greet the employees or question with issues should you face any. The exchange has recently under went a full blown reorganization that has lead to a new CEO taking over the company. Since the reorg the exchange has improved drastically, not only in volume but also in composure and ability to deliver. You can check out the exchange at https://coss.io

COS token is the native token of the exchange that pays anyond that holds it daily income!
The token built on Ethereum has a built in DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) that is basically a smart contract to which all the fees earned by the exchange are deposited too. Once these fees are deposited to this contract the contract automatically distributes them to token holders. In short the token pays you a part of the fees the exchange makes daily (To better understand this think about how much money you would make if Binance were to offer even a tiny portion of its fees to you as your income). Note because this is carried out as a DAO, COS token is not classified as a security.

Original Thread
Just want to see what everyone here thinks about the COSS exchange? I'm wondering because new management has taken over and now there seems to be a very positive outlook for the exchange overall. The exchange has undergone a signifcant change in direction under the new leadership. The biggest change being that the new COS token will pay daily in Ethereum and more COS tokens rather then tons of small dust. If you used the exchange before what is your opinion on it and when was the last time you used it?

Thanks for all the replies guys just trying to get an idea around if there is interest around this coin as I see it being one of the biggest boomers (100x or more) in the next alt season.

Firstly, I do not consider that daily payment a sustainable idea. It may be for a period of time and that may just be an incentive to attract investors and also traders who will for see the degree of payment to be made considering the bag of tokens they may want to purchase but then on a second consideration, how many tokens holders can be paid and for what period of time and where is the revenue to be generated from.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: September 06, 2019, 09:41:41 PM
Very difficult to explain because you can see for yourself that Ethereum still sees the price chart on Bitcoin. If Bitcoin falls then Ethereum will follow the chart. But I cannot be certain what will happen in the future.

I sincerely do not see the possibility of that occurring. Let me ask, in what areas do you think ethereum can replace bitcoin. Because if we consider their functions, its quite different from each other. Bitcoin is strictly finance and Ethereum is more of a platform that other projects leverage on using he smart contract features iin it. That also advises on the price. Again the total supply and circulation of both coins don't match. The year on creation is another fact to consider. I don't see the possibility of a replacement but the can cohabit under the tech comfortably
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: September 06, 2019, 07:59:44 PM
Ethereum, being the world's second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, has all the potential of replacing Bitcoin in the future. It's more than just a cryptocurrency, being a platform for the development and execution of smart contracts (aka dApps). With ETH, it's possible to launch alternative cryptocurrencies without the need to start a Blockchain from scratch. It's also possible to use the ETH blockchain for other purposes such as voting, proof of identity, verification of documents, and more. In contrast, Bitcoin's only use is for finance where it cannot be implemented in other areas by its own.

Given all of the benefits Ethereum provides on top of Bitcoin, it makes me wonder whenever it'll be able to replace the pioneer cryptocurrency within the future? As long as, Ethereum keeps progressing in development and mainstream acceptance, it'll be much closer to Bitcoin every step of the way. What are your thoughts? Huh

Ethereum has great prospects, though it may be gradually updating its 2.0 version but then it has proven beyond reasonable doubt that it has the potentials of appreciating in value and operations. To what magnitude of update and upgrade it can attain before fulfilling such target, we are yet to known but then it can if it get upscaled. In all of its features
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next year will determine the fate of altcoins on: September 06, 2019, 07:54:40 PM
I don't know about you but as for me i came into this crypto space in 2017 and i started investing in crypto in 2018,really ive not been around for so long and quiting now is just a stupid idea to me,to make thousands of dollars in crypto appear to be outlandish now but i still believe that nothing is impossible in this world, market is in an exceptionally awful shape and bounty projects are just doing anyhow they see fit but yet i won't give up this easily, next year 2020 will decide which path i will take whether to quit or not since next halving is on 2020 so whether altcoin will see better resurrection or not we shall see,for now i dont mind promoting bounties and trading to stay alive

I am giving specific consideration to projects that are doing exceptionally well and I am of the opinion that such projects will not work with the elongated prediction of next year rather, their timely roadmap implementation will be considered. And that will help in their price appreciation
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google banning crupto ads on: September 06, 2019, 07:50:23 PM
Google following in the footsteps of Facebook to ban ads for cryptocurrencies and ICOs. What is befalling the crupto market? Will it affect the market as a whole? or what will be its effects? are bad days coming close for cryptocurrencies? https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2018/03/14/google-to-ban-cryptocurrency-initial-coin-offering-ads/

Even google and Facebook has lifted the bans they had on block chain and crypto related ads as they have already started development of their own cryptocurrency called Libra by Facebook. Although discrimination has come on the Facebook's "Libra" but Mark is undaunted and is still considering the possibility of pulling through with his pursuit
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you heard of DTube? on: September 06, 2019, 07:47:32 PM
Hello,

Wondering if anyone know of DTube. My friend told me about it today and saw that they you can getg $$$ for videos. Also there isnt any ads or anything.

Anyone ever tried it ?

DTube has been around for quite a long time. It is one of the SMT under the steel block chain just as the others. Busy.org is also there too. You can make money from DTube and busy but it all has its leverage drawn from the steemit.com platform.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: September 06, 2019, 07:44:18 PM
There had come many ICOs in 2017 and a good number of STOs in 2018 and many IEOs in 2019 but hardly a few have made it to 'relatively better than others' list.
I wonder why haven't there come potential coins like ether. The only project that looked promising to me this year was bittorrent which was lauched on binance launchpad.
But even that is not going so well these days.

Is the world out of ideas or solutions?

Like a wise man said, every challenge is an opportunity for some one to present a creative solution. It is obvious you have seen the lacuna in the space of Blockchain development and advancement, it will be a feather to you if you can come up with a solution to the pending. The first step to a solution is discovery, and that is what you have done in exact, what is your proffered solution towards your discovery.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old Bounties VS New Bounties on: September 06, 2019, 07:35:46 PM
They both have their advantages and disadvantages

Old Bounties
1.You will have more confidence promoting the project because there is more higher chances of getting paid.
2. You can keep for long term since theyve been around for awhile so you dont have to worry about project exiting scam anytime.
3. They are already listed on many exchanges and you dont have to hold them in your wallets for a very long time like many new projects
4.Payouts and rewards are extremely very low,ive earned 10$ for promoting a old bounty project for weeks.

New Bounties
1. New bounties are plague with one delay after another.
2. You might hold tokens or coins for more than a year due to not getting listed on exchanges very soon
3. The tokens or coins might be useless or find out the project is scam since many new projects are mostly scam or shit projects
4. Lots of work is required when doing research on new projects than already existing old projects
5. New bounties always brings the highest profits as per details derived from hunters.

What do you guys have to say about my post? Am i making any sense or not?

The idea of new bounties is that, people have so enjoyed the flavor of cryptocurrency in the past and then it became a standard that very crypto project should come with such juicy offers but then the eras are different. Before now, investors don't have challenges with investing in projects and that made projects hit their hard cap in their estimated ICO period and that made their payment easy and enlisting as well, but it has changed and new bounties aren't in that shape too.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you staking or mining, or both? on: September 05, 2019, 09:48:38 PM
PoW (Proof of Work)

PoS (Proof of Stake)

The most popular consensus mechanisms.

Proof of Stake protocols are gaining traction.

What about you, personally?

Are you mining, are you staking, or are you doing both? And why?

The idea of minning of coins is in degrees and loads of projects have decided to come up with the option of staking as it is less easy, consumes just a little finance compared to the normal minner that bitcoins minning rigs consume. Stakings however, have a way of giving some degree of confidence to those who have more coins staked and earning more with respect to the coins staked.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the new trend? on: September 05, 2019, 09:27:52 PM
I don't think there are currently many crypto projects that do Initial Public Offering (IPO), very rarely, but IPOs may be able to replace IEO and ICO which are currently experiencing turmoil in its development, I think IPOs can be a new solution in crypto, but according to I IPO does not require many investors, because, IPO is usually done by well-known companies that have enough budget, the purpose is only to promote their tokens/coins in the market, and that is very different from ICO or IEO.
Considering the market trends and also the price declination of altcoins, will it be a favorable decision to embark on IPOs by projects upcoming. There is already a challenge with projects that have come up and their market prices have downslided in the few years they have existed. Although, the IPO idea is cool but i think there are other factors to consider.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: project products cannot function properly! on: September 05, 2019, 02:57:02 PM
remeber, ideas arent always regular as there is no need for them if thye were. you come up with something new and it is only you as the visioner and the man with the idea that can really comprehend what you intend to achieve and in  most cases, your achievement of that project is the global usage of the product so loads of sensitization has to be put in place and also your developers have to catch the aim and idea before giving you  perfect design. Logically, you have to create enough sensitization for people to see things the way you intend for them to.

498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram Open Network’s (TON) blockchain public testing will launch on Sept.1 on: August 31, 2019, 12:25:50 PM
According to one of the investors.

On Aug. 28, Russian news outlet Vedomosti quoted an anonymous TON investor claiming to have learned this information from the development team, and the head of one of the companies that participated in the testing so far.

According to the outlet’s sources, TON’s node software and all relevant documentation would be released to the public on Sept. 1. This first version of the blockchain is already expected to feature sharding and various functional consensus mechanisms, the source added.

A blockchain that was popular from the start

TON project is a decentralized application and messaging platform developed by open source messenger Telegram’s team. The blockchain is planned to be integrated into the messaging app used by over 200 million people.

This will be indeed a great deal for Telegram as they already have a great community of 200 million people globally and this will give them an edge over other projects that still battle wiht massive adoption. They only have to worry about sensitizing people on "how to" of the user's interface. we look towards the unveiling of this great innovation by the TON network.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters killed ICO? on: August 31, 2019, 12:15:27 PM
1) a project collected funds,
2) Funds allocation (among advisors, bla bla bla and bounty hunters)
3) Considering there are thousands of BH, the price of a token dropped dramatically
4) Investors bought token on ICO see this crap and less people invest in ICOs.

True or False?

The above pointed points are facts that can not be denied. The honest truth is that, the bounty hunters are stil under the project team no matter the number of people that exists wihtin the bounty hunting community. The Bounty Hunters plays by the laid down rules of the team. It is the team that should therefore put in place, measure that will curtail the excessess that will arise from the bounty hunters and not to blame them for the wrecking of ICOs.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO becomes successful = ETH will moon? on: August 31, 2019, 12:02:27 PM
as we see now many project are using IEO system to collect funds from investors and I feel IEO is very popular at the moment, besides that I also see a lot of IEO that are currently successful, therefore I am sure that the price of ETH will definitely increase too if many project use blockchain from Ethereum (ERC-20). because as we know in 2017, where ETH prices increase very high due to ICO very popular and successful, so if this year IEO will experience the same thing as ICO in 2017 (popular and successful) then it will make ETH prices increase again (bull run).

I think Eth will moon whether or not IEOs are popular and successful as acclaimed. The reason for my opinion is that most of these IEOs aren't using just Ethereum alone, they also use USDT, BTC, BCH, and many others. I think what vitalik has put on ground is enough to make the ethereum price appreciate and even get to a New All-Time-High.
