how to verify if this wallet have replay protection? https://bitcoingold.org/downloads/

You don't need to verify the network has full replay protection any wallet compatible with BTG cannot create a transaction that can be replayed
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 25, 2017, 08:11:40 PM

I think the issue was having to prove the premine because the circulating supply is exactly 100k short of total supply which was the premine total

What's seeing my donation addresses got to do with anything

why would you need us to see your donation addy if you had enough run a lightning node?

I said you have no idea what I own apart from what you can see from my donation addresses I don't need you to see them but it's a bit hard to have them but hide what's in the one address I use publicly

I move funds around sometimes and also consolidate balances occasionally but never share between private and public

I'm not here to debate for the sake of debating. I'm well aware of the fact that we have no idea what you own, but what's the point of posting your donation addresses in your sig if you don't need us to see them in the first place.

Because it's free and sometimes people actually donate not many but ive had a few

so what who cares,

Obviously you since you're the only one with anything to say about it

shouldn't you be with the rest of the group executing this dragon slayer we're all here still waiting it was supposed to have happened by now it's just been a bit let down so far
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 25, 2017, 04:56:09 PM
BCH has asserted itself and has been on an upward trend for a few weeks now. All cryptos are gaining international support as owners tell friends and educate. I hope we all work together by educating friends and family like I do about the only way to become a free people, free from the control of the deep state.

BCH long.

When's your dragon slayer coming did it get lost ive been waiting all day but it's still not shown up
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: November 25, 2017, 02:08:09 PM
Operation Dragon Slayer in another 384 blocks or 3.3 days In other Words its gonna be a Black Friday Special!  Grin

We're still waiting

250k to 300k Bitcoin Gold was sold by developers. That's it. Check biggest exchange, then plus assumed amount of coins from free holders (who keep their BTC out of exchanges), you can estimate the maximum Bitcoin Gold at the moment. Please wake up.

Im not sure what you are saying but the current supply can be found by querying the block explorers API http://btgexp.com/ext/getmoneysupply

So the bitcoin gold in existence right now is 16770811.08899401 or 16,770,811 BTG

As for saying the devs have sold 250k - 300k I presume you are referring to USD value and not 200k-300k BTG

How much is premined?

i'm sure they won't tell us how many coins are premined, like bitcoin cash till now we don't know how much they got premined coins.
these forks gives only shit coins, the only good one thing is we get free extra money, i hope we don't see many coins like this because these coins will kill the original bitcoin if this stupid forks coins will continue.
you can easily tell how many coins were premined from the source code if you are a dev of course  Cheesy

You don't need to be a dev it's open source and its 8000blocks/100000coins you can find this out by reading the code on github

I don't think 100k coins is a big issue as long as devs can deliver something valuable.

It's not the big Bcash miners have mined more than this by themselves just by exploiting the EDA some people complain but people don't work for free when this a full time job
all the premine is going into running the network high powered dedicated servers are not cheap to rent and renting lots of them to run nodes, explorers, an official mining pool etc all costs money.

Im betting the few people that do complain about this would not work for free or spend possibly thousands a month to maintain a network without financial compensation I applaud bitcoin gold for raising the financial backing this way and having total freedom to listen to the users and be for the users over taking corporate money and having investors to answer  to

Where the world is going. Why you can not work honestly.
I like this coin ! I'm sure it will take a worthy place among others if users will not doubt about the honesty of the development team.
Yeah there is no reason for it to be in the wallet so they should remove it.

And you are correct it does undermine confidence.  People are more likely to have it on an exchange than a potentially infected QT Wallet.

You do realise the full wallet is a full mining node and the exchanges run the exact same software to to store your coins in their hot wallets and to interface with the network

Bilderberg Group funds Blockstream
Blockstream sidechain business
So whose best interest does Bitcoin Core Developers have in mind here? Side chains or Bitcoin?
Did anyone ever ask them who is going to vet these side chains? Or will this become another fiat ponzi scheme. Print baby print??
Why is there no such thing as fork protection yet? lol This cash is cores fault if they'd just go to 2mb blocks but then that ruins their side chains...

Follow the money and investors... trust but verify... unless you like giving your money away...

Anyone can run a lightning node including me and you and it's trustless there is no vetting any bad players will just loose money it's the way its designed

Say we have a payment channel and I try and cheat you then you can just claim everything and I loose everything so it's in my interest to be honest

Tek,

quit lying , you know it is not about being able to run a very small hub.
(You don't have enough money to back a hub large enough to even be a concern.)

It is the Large Hubs that are going to act as banks and report everything to the govenrment.
Including starting fractional reserves.

https://forum.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-discussion/how-the-lightning-network-could-ultimately-destroy-bitcoin-t21092.html

Quote
The re-emergence of fractional reserve lending
At this stage, hubs would be financially incentivized and able to hold fractional reserves to start loaning out depositors' bitcoins to borrowers

Quote
Embrace, extend and extinguish
So at this point, the lightning network would effectively either merge with or morph into a simile of the current banking system.
Just as gold used to be physically ferried around in an expensive and inefficient exercise to conduct settlements between banks, bitcoins will instead be used to settle between hubs.
Assuming that this system takes over completely from the current global banking system, then the mining fees for these settlement transactions might be truly astronomical, say $1,000 per transaction.
So in the end, Bitcoin would be priced out of reach of everyone except financial institutions.
Once it becomes particularly awkward and expensive for people to take delivery, due to these sorts of fees, Bitcoin's relevance will be gradually de-emphasized and eventually detached from the financial system by government decree—exactly as happened with gold in recent decades.

Quote
What went wrong
So how did this happen?
The primary incentive for the growth of fractional reserve Bitcoin banks will come from any economies of scale in the costs of issuing transactions.
So for instance, this applies where a service provider with a lot of capital can make transactions on behalf of its customers much more cheaply than the customers could themselves.
Currently—or at least until very recently—no such economy of scale exists, primarily because there is currently no (well established) mechanism for aggregating multiple arbitrary payments into fewer or smaller blockchain transactions.
With the Lightning Network however, heavily capitalized hubs will be able to make transactions at negligible marginal cost, while end users will need to spend a far larger relative chunk of their money opening and closing channels.
As a result, there is an inescapable and huge economic incentive for hubs to act on behalf of their customers to issue transactions for them.
This is fertile ground for hubs to then become banks, start up fractional reserve practices, dilute the money supply, gradually divert attention away from the underlying asset (Bitcoin) and ultimately detach it entirely from the financial system.

Quote
What can we do?
There are no doubt many clever ways to avert this possible future.
One way is to ensure that the base layer is friction free.
That is, we should aim to minimize the time and cost of on-chain transactions.
This will leave no room for the growth of professional financial middlemen to re-emerge and reintroduce their bureaucracy, enforced mediation, censorship, monetary meddling, confiscation, counterfeiting, bailouts, bail-ins and wildly disproportionate influence and control they wield over the direction of the development of civilization.

Bitcoin Cash can replace segshitcoin and block these fractional reserve LN Hubs run by the banking cartels.

╥Aztek

Since a payment channel can be as little as 0.1BTC or less im pretty sure I have enough it's even recommended to only open small channels as it's destined more for small micro transactions you have no idea how much I own apart from what you can see in the donation addresses in my sig

Dev why is your official wallet showing a virus?

I know there are false positives in a lot of QT wallets but this one is on Malwarebytes, first time I have experienced that.

Are you guys doing something to remove it?

This is the actual one hosted on the bitcoin gold website everything says its clean

The link you posted was created from a uploaded file from a unknown source there is  no way of knowing its origin
let me also ask.

I download this wallet on my computer at Nov 16, 2017 (from official site !)
Here is his analysis.
https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/53e01dd7366e87fb920645b29541f8487f6f9eec233cbb43032c60c0398fc9fa/detection

Today I downloaded the wallet anew.
Here is his analysis.

You do not know the origin?
Do you want to hint that users are fools or scammers?
Anyone can download this wallet to his PC and upload it to virustotal.com for check.

However, if I do NOT download the wallet to PC and check by reference, I will get ANOTHER result.
https://www.virustotal.com/#/url/6e7b2078df16062464410a99c6a6f687e87624083c59009e2f36c0b7069361a8/detection

Damn it, EVERYONE can check it out.
Are you trying to deceive the community?

WTF !!
What's going on here ?
Why is the same file being checked in different ways, different results for the same file !

my suggestion:
For analysis by reference, one file is provided, and for users, another.

P.S.
all this is very sad, and undermines confidence.

Where the world is going. Why you can not work honestly.
I like this coin ! I'm sure it will take a worthy place among others if users will not doubt about the honesty of the development team.

Ive tried uploading various version and yes all report the same red flags, I then tried various version of bitcoin cash and the same red flags, then I tried the true and tested bitcoin core and still the same red flags no matter what full wallet I uploaded I got the same red flags

For starters BTG has a much higher trading volume over what BCH had at this age and is listed on a smaller selection of exchanges but this is changing now big exchanges are taking notice and slowly listing the future of BTG is looking bright

BTG scammers are going to dump their premine / postmine /rip off mine whatever you want to call it.
Which is why many exchanges are refusing to even list it.

Tek , tell your moron friends, their cmk is still broken.
They are too stupid to get that fixed and you want to trust them with your money.

@Tek , are you one of the 6 btg scammer devs?
That would explain why you are pushing that btg scam so hard.

╥Aztek

I've nothing to do with them but I am a GPU miner and support the move to give the power back to the users.

I've heard most of the initial premine was already moved as for CMC I'm not sure where the issue lies I have noticed that they are now listing the actual money supply but still need the circulating supply to work out the market cap

Bithumb have now got this listed but not yet enabled deposits/withdrawals and there are rumors that poloniex will be listing soon.

If you were to hang around with core supporters you would realise there are quite a lot that support this effort and there are a lot that have said they are keeping their Bitcoin cash and not selling.

We now have Bitcoin diamond soon too don't know much about that though but we're supposed to get 10 for every 1 BTC so that's good and I'll be keeping that too.

There is a good reason to keep the forks because one may be successful and replace core one day and if that happens it's better to get a share in them all instead of blindly following one
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: November 25, 2017, 04:16:22 AM
The success of bitcoin gold was born, and many BTC holders ate candy again yesterday.
The gold partners hold for a while, and will it go beyond the big brother BCH? Maybe that's what we're looking forward to Grin

BCH also seems to have large support from many BTC holders yes there are lots claiming scam, and instant dump etc but that's expected but the overall support is quite good and when the BCH crown try and pull it down there are always lots or core supporters standing up to them anyone would think the BCH crowd were worried that BTG will dominate them  Cheesy

Bitcoin Cash Fund site now launched!
We're a community-driven, grass-roots org accelerating adoption of BitcoinCash

everyone donate to the devs!   Cheesy  bwaaaahaha

A good product advertises itself if you have to pay to make people believe you then there is a problem

these scumbags have plenty of coins don't be fooled this is a direct attack on bitcoin as it stands today :\ >.>this group has TOO MUCH MONEY ALREADY!!!

Yea number 1 customer of fiver cos the work I've seen so far looks like it's been done by a newbie to Photoshop just a bit of copy/paste whatever they have paid they got ripped off

BTG will overtake BCH in price mainly because it's GPU like the REAL BITCOIN was ,,,they did a great job of banding together the blockblockers trying to block bitcoin Wink lol

For starters BTG has a much higher trading volume over what BCH had at this age and is listed on a smaller selection of exchanges but this is changing now big exchanges are taking notice and slowly listing the future of BTG is looking bright

Is the volume seriously more than half a billion dollars? All those Bitcoin forks get traded so much, crazy stuff.

There is a lot more than that Bithumb is starting trading but not yet listed under CMC
