I don't see the point of panicing in investment situations, maybe if an angry bear is charging at you in the woods would be the appropriate time. If it's investing then I will look at the circumstances of the sale and the current price and if it reflects a better opportunity to purchase more at a better price. It is actually not uncommon for some projects to launch below ICO price in the current market.

If you can find the right ICO then it can be a fantastic investment, but again only if you pick the right ones. You need to do as much due diligence as you can into the team, the project idea, the product development stage and the solutions they are trying to offer. Getting it all right can give you 10 or 20 x your investment.

We are already approaching the halfway point of 2018 and still, the market has not shaken off the correction fully. I am beginning to suspect that we will just be trading sideways for most of this year and not see any big gains until 2019.

Can you become a millionaire by investing nothing into crypto and only waiting for airdrops and Bounty programs? Barring any massive increase in the crypto market cap or being lucky enough to be on-board with a coin that does 1,000 times I would say No not in your lifetime.

Why is this mooning after several months under $0.03?

I do find the technology interesting and so far I have invested in one project for a crypto debit card but mostly my interest is in making money from ICO and crypto opportunities in general.

Good to see that some people have a heavy dose of realism in their posts, I don't think we will see a full-blown recovery this year rather more sideways trading. But I think we will have a recovery in 2019 rather than 2 years time.

This looks like a good time to buy once again as we fail to break out of the current range. Ethereum is trading between $650 and $735 and Bitcoin between 7,900 and 8,700 so pick your moments to buy and sell as the other alts will tend to follow in the patterns.

Don't buy all at once but split it into several purchases in case the prices continue to move lower and you get a nice average as a result.

Unfortunately it has to go down as another failed attempt to jump start the next Bull phase. We are stuck in a range from 7,400 to 9,300 with Bitcoin and until it can break and hold above the higher figure we are stuck trading sideways really.

All of the new ICO coins are classed under the altcoin banner so I would say yes, of course, we need them. Amongst the new crop will no doubt be some exciting projects that have the potential for great returns on your investments.

Ethereum has a history now it has been around since mid 2015 and has proven it has great utility. The ERC-20 protocol has been used to launch many new coins, these all use the ETH blockchain and pay the ETH fees in GWEI. The additional usage will help to increase the value of the coin

We are still trying to break away from the correction that started at the end of 2017 if you ask me. The low was at 6,100 but essentially we are in a range from mid 7,000 to low 9,000. At the moment this is just trading opportunities to ride the ups and downs.

I absolutely hated using Etherdelta it was only used if the last choice and no other options. Forkdelta uses the same Ethereum smart contract and wallet setup but is far smoother than its earlier namesake. IDEX is a newish option and whilst it is easy to use it seems to go offline for hours at a time so reliability factor not there as yet.

I don't think it is as simple as that otherwise the herd mentality would mean everyone was making money. Also if Bitcoin is dropping then usually the alts will follow down so this doesn't correlate that people would sell BTC and then buy alts. If you are watching ETH now you will see that it is often moving independently from BTC. I think your theory may be right some of the time but not all the time.

I would think that Bitcointalk is still by far the best media for promoting an ICO. The reason is that it is hitting a target audience 100% as everyone on Bitcointalk is interested in crypto and crypto investing. If you compare that to say Twitter and Facebook where maybe only up to 15 or 20% of your friends and followers would share that interest.
