481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cloud mining still profitable? on: January 25, 2019, 08:39:37 PM
Cloud mining is not profitable actually. It was profitable if you bought a contract in the beginning or before 2017.
Now, can only make little money. I don't know how much it costs now, but at the end of 2017, the price was exagerated.

483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help, Missing Monero... on: January 25, 2019, 01:02:09 PM
You should ask for help in the Monero announcement thread. Did you add another receiving address in your wallet? But you old address should still be available.
Or is it a problem with Genesis Mining? Maybe they have changed their software and don't accept the character ',' when they send your Monero? As it can sometimes be used to separate columns in a text file.
But the sending address was still valid? The address did have the other characters after the ',' ?
I have never seen an adress with a ',' character before.
You should ask Genesis Mining to control if their software accept the character ',' in a Monero address.
484  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia hack leads to ‘significant losses’ on: January 25, 2019, 12:34:00 PM
Still no legitimate guideline out from Cryptopia, appears we're stuck at a similar position on most recent 6 days. Although investigated by New Zealand police upon Cryptopia Hack. Seems like Cryptopia Exchange will be out of service during throughout the investigation.

Yeah, which is quite alarming. According to this article[1], it seems the hackers managed to empty a lot of wallets from Cryptopia (ETH & ERC20 only), around $16 M were stolen. It claims that somehow the hackers were able to get access to more than 76k wallet address.

[1] https://elementus.io/blog/cryptopia-hack-transparency/
Thanks for the link. On this blog, they say that it seems that Cryptopia maybe don't have access to thoses 76K wallets. They are real newbies if they didn't have any backup saved somewhere and written on some papers.
And how could they leave their private keys or mnemonics on a server with access to the internet...
Pen and papers is still the safest way to backup passwords.
I hope the hackers only had access to the Ethereum wallets.
I gave you 1 smerit. My last one...
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The death of Ethereum is inevitable? Can ETH on the price of $100? on: January 25, 2019, 10:41:07 AM
I think it is still possible that we see this price again with the current trend of the crypto market. But i don't believe that ETH is going to die.
But maybe too many projects depends on the ETH.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High or Low Supply: Which do you prefer? on: January 25, 2019, 10:25:51 AM
It depends on the projects. I would prefer to choose a coin based on its volume of trading. If the volume is too low, it is too risky to invest money into it.
There is more volatility of the price in lower supply coin and bigger risk to lose money.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it bad for altcoin that BTC is dropping on: January 24, 2019, 10:40:14 AM
Yes, it is very bad for the altcoins as they are all traded with BTC. If someone want to exchange his altcoin with fiat currency, he will have to exchange it with BTC.
BTC is the main currency in the crypto market.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: exchange fees that no one talks about on: January 24, 2019, 10:35:03 AM
I agree that some exchanges have outrageous fees. The worst i think is Hitbtc. And with their limit of decimal in trading of BTC to 0.01 BTC or KMD. They are really the worst exchange.
The only good thing there is there trading tools which is not bad and the volume of exchange.
But i suppose that as the withdrawal exchange is very high, people don't want to lose too much money by withdrawing it from their exchange. Or they lose too much money if they try to withdraw their funds.
That's why people are still trading there...
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the crypto market recover? on: January 24, 2019, 09:32:25 AM
Maybe, nobody can really be sure of it. If cryptos still exists in 5-10 years, it is still possible. I hope it will need less time to recover, but we don't really know if it is possible after this big crash.
And we still don't know if Bitcoin has reach its bottom or not.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will it still last? on: January 24, 2019, 09:24:59 AM
Yes, i think cryptos are going to last. But i don't think it will be used as current fiat currencies. The governments and banks have too much power and they won't let a coin that they don't control be used everywhere.
But who knows, current fiat currencies are maybe going one day to be in a blockchain.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) - Airdrop 11.02 on: January 23, 2019, 01:47:51 PM
Look what is the listing price of 1 BTT on Binance: 0.00012USD.
I hold about 7000 Tronix Tokens and its value is now 180USD, and for the aridrop I will receive BTT tokens worth 0.84USD.
So I do not understand such hype around this airdrop.  Roll Eyes

Lol.  Are you serious?  Wow...  Those people selling down their SEED tokens for TRX just to participate in the airdrop have no idea how much value their missing.

Looks like tron is following PundiX kind of airdrop for the holders instead of monthly airdrop they will airdrop BTT yearly & offering very less tokens in return. Tron is copy cat project which copies other projects idea & concept.
But this can't be the next tron for sure. People are so blindly sold their portfolios to participate in this airdrop. The only worth airdrop was from bitcoin and that's the only good airdrop.
Just waiting for how the market will react to that token.
Right, that's a good reason to not buy TRX at its current price. You should know when a coin is overpriced or not. Look at your trading tools. If you really want to get BTT, wait for the next airdrop as you will have a more clear vision about the real price of BTT and TRX after the airdrop.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which are the most promising currencies in the first quarter of 2019? on: January 23, 2019, 10:07:56 AM
It was TRON because of the distribution of BTT in February. But now, i would say it is a very risky investment as its value is already very high. You should be very careful when investing in cryptos, as we don't know where is the bottom price.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what solutions do make to cover Loss on: January 22, 2019, 09:54:18 AM
There is no solution which can make you recover 100 percent your loss. You can make day trading, but it is very risky in this kind of market as we don't really know where is the bottom.
You should count on your luck and choose the right coin to trade. And there should be enough liquidity.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think that Bitcoincash will replace Bitcoin on: January 22, 2019, 09:48:31 AM
I don't think Bitcoin Cash is going to replace Bitcoin. It just follows the price of Bitcoin. Everyone hope to make the coin which could one day replace Bitcoin, but it won't happen.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BITTUBE | NOW LIVE | NO PREMINE | NO ICO | FIRST AIRTIME MEDIA PLAYER on: January 22, 2019, 09:45:13 AM
Hello, i have installed BitTube Airtime extension. But i don't really know how it calculates "AirTime". After installing it, it did blocks advertisements, but now that doesn't work for all advertisements.
I don't know how to block all the advertisements. I have to go on the website now and go to the AdBlocker and i only have the option to block the big advertisements.
I don't know what is Zapper mode or Picker mode and the other options. There is no explanations.
Also, i have read that Chrome extensions could access our passwords and when we fill forms.
So you should be very careful and desactivate it when entering datas on a website.

I also tried to link my Facebook account for BitTube Airtime, but it didn't work. I tried to make the bio "public" but it didn't help. Does it works?

Hi, thanks. I have found why it didn't block advertisements. It is because i need to start the BitTube Airtime after opening the Chrome internet navigator. I need to push the start button.
AirTime don't start automatically.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⭐️ EXCALIBUR OS ⭐️ World's First OS with Mining Management system on: January 21, 2019, 05:15:06 PM
I have some doubts about this ICO project. As there is no screenshot of the operating system and the github doesn't exist. Also reddit is full of advertisements and there is nothing about Excalibur OS...
And they say that the development began since 2016...
Someone have more information about Excalibur OS? Thanks. I hope i am not promoting a scam ICO.

498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Truth about altcoins on: January 21, 2019, 09:54:22 AM
Not all altcoins are good to hold. Some altcoins are useless and you can lose all your money because of it. There is a risk that it is no more traded if the volume of trading is near 0.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Tether? on: January 21, 2019, 09:50:29 AM
I used it mainly when trading with BTC or altcoins. Tether is mostly used for trading as it is pegged with USD. Some people don't like Tether, but it is here since a very long time.
