481  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system is not working, failed! on: February 18, 2018, 01:11:46 PM
The merit system needs some improvements, and Iì'm pretty sure that there will be soon some modifications.
But it has already achieved some big results, because shitposting has drastically diminished, and there is no more sense in having tens of accounts.
So, it's a very good think, even if I know that to grow up will be very difficult.
But also more precious.
482  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: February 18, 2018, 01:07:55 PM
Well, "never" seems to me a litto too much... what do you whant to do with your bitcoin, if you don't spend them? :-)
But, of course, there are good chances that bitcoin will rise again, so it's better to hold.
483  Economy / Economics / Re: Is time too late on: February 18, 2018, 01:05:25 PM
In trading, there is always a lot of space for regret: al the time we have the tempation to blame ourselves with "Ah, if I had...".
This is a completely useless emotion. NOW is the moment of power. May be you lost a lot of opportunities in the past. But be careful: "today" will become very soon "yesterday". And tomorrow, you'll say "ah, if yesterday I had..."
484  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin now the biggest bubble of all time? on: February 18, 2018, 01:01:19 PM
May be is it; so what?
You know, anything is a bubble on this planet; the planet itself will have an and.
This is not a good reason to not profit of something.
Actually, bitcoin allow huge profits. Enjoy them!
485  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulation of bitcoin: dream or Inevitable on: February 18, 2018, 12:58:29 PM
It will be a bloody war. The philosophy behind bitcoin was exactly to escape from central authority but, onf course, central authorities won't reonunce to their power so easily.
Now we can see a lot of try to ban bitcoin or to control it. Who knows who will win, we'll see.
486  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: February 18, 2018, 12:47:53 PM
Why not? Lot of people think that there is a technical problem, but it can be solved just with the diffusion of qrcode: if you have a paperwallet, you can pay and be payed everywhere, without the need of any technology.
487  Economy / Economics / Re: Crisis is Coming on: February 18, 2018, 12:38:10 PM
Please note that any declaration on the media is made with the only intention to manipulate the market, and - as you can see - thay had a lot of success: the price went down, big fishes bought, and now the price rises again.

They made big profit, the manipulated people cry. That's life. Next time, don't listen...
488  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 18, 2018, 12:28:05 PM
Sorry if I enter in your dispute, but please accept an observation by a "young" member of the forum, but a very "senior" out there.

a) To call someone "fucking troll" or " idiot fanboy" when you are protected by anonymity does not honor you. Think about if you really had the courage to say the same things face to face.

b) We are here to learn, and - compared to the rest of the population - we are an elightened elite. It seems to me that to lose our energy in ego involving discussion is not the best way to use our time. Much better to support each other, of course with the respect of the differences.

Just my two cents.

JayJuanGee

I find your avatar ironic, because out of your entire, emotional and petulant rant, you danced around the subject. Not once did you suggest why you think the merit system will work. I see you're the fanboy type and you can write prolifically but you'll never produce anything of value because you yourself haven't defined why you hold your beliefs.

First, you are looking at the wrong indicator, if you believe that my avatar is attempting to send some kind of message to you on this particular topic.

Second, you are whining about this merit system, and sure it is possible that you have convinced a few other whiners to chime in to support you in your complaining cause; however, you have also erroneously attempted to argue that I have some kind of burden to support the status quo system that has been established (this new merit system), when I do not.

I do not need to provide either evidence or argument regarding why the status quo new merit system is better than some amorphous and unspecified change that you may be proposing (such as going back to pre-change, perhaps?).

If you are proposing a change to the status quo merit system that has been established, then you have both the evidentiary and the logic burdens of presentation and persuasion to convince others.  For me, your whining has not accomplished much of anything in terms of either evidence or logic, but perhaps others will be more persuaded by your lack of presentation, perhaps Theymos?  Yet I doubt it because I think that Theymos would likely prefer to see more evidence and logic if he is going to make some changes that goes beyond mere whining or attempts to divert discussion through largely irrelevant and unjustified personally attacks.

You use term like whining to address legitimate concerns and have no understanding of the burden of proof. We've addressed our concerns, you offered no rebuttal except juvenile mockery and pseudo-intellectualism. You're really a predictable person, I bet you're even a Libertarian. People who half-understand tend to follow that ideology.

In short, you're a fucking troll and we would all do well just to put you on ignore, you have nothing to offer the world and are incapable of constructive conversation.

I just want to point out to all how much of an idiot fanboy this troll is, click his profile. He says "How much alt coin diversification is necessary? 0%"

With a fanbase like him, BTC is sure to become as irrelevant as these forums will become.
489  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: [INFO] +MERIT.

490  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: February 18, 2018, 11:17:29 AM
The temptation to regret and to blame orrselves is always present in trading, but we need to learn to control it because it's completely useless.
The only moment that counts, in trading and in life, is NOW.
So, if you made a mistake, learn from it and go on.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: February 18, 2018, 11:07:44 AM
To manipulate the market buying and selling is very difficult, but it's possible, if whales move in an organized way.

But it's completely useless, because the real manipulation is made by rumors and declarations:
if a politician, a big bank, a Nobel Prize, a celebrity , makes a declaration in a positive or negative way, this declaration will push the market much more that any currency movement.

So, is someone believed that the crossed fire on bitcoin in January was just a coincidence...  well, welcome to the real world.

And thik about what megaprofits did who knew the content of a declaration BEFORE it was made...

493  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: [INFO] +MERIT.

494  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: [INFO] +MERIT.

495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: February 17, 2018, 11:09:21 AM
If you want to put your money somewhere, it seems to me mandatory to know all what you can.
Of course a whitepaper can be deceitful, so not only you need to read it, but also to make deeper researches.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: exchange opinions about this forum. on: February 17, 2018, 11:06:45 AM
If possible, but - out of the fact that it's risky - you won't have any real benefit, with the new rules.
Much better to focus on writing decent post and rank up, than writing a lot of shitpost and to remain a newbie forever.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC of bounty hunters on: February 17, 2018, 11:02:41 AM
Like it or not, we'll have more and more control and regulations in the cryptomarket.
And the first thing is to identify the owners.
If we want to stop scams, this is the first indispensable step.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in altcoin still worth? on: February 17, 2018, 10:49:54 AM
May be we don't understand that ICO madness is just started!
You can bet that in the next months there will be a big number of offers, and if we put attention to avoid the scams, there will be a lot of opportunities for bif profits.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Half of the world job applicants are lying on their resumes on: February 17, 2018, 10:43:48 AM
Well, actually I like the idea to lie in my resume! :-)
I mean, sometimes we need a fresh start, after a bad professional experience, and if your past is stuck in the blockchain, it becomes a mark for life.
500  Economy / Economics / Re: Positive thinking brings positive things. on: February 17, 2018, 10:38:23 AM
It's good to think in a positive way, but you need to have attention to not fall in usual new age bullshit.
Positive thinking is useful only if it brings to positive action, otherwise it's just daydreaming.
