"Clean OS" means you haven't tried installing other drivers, that could prevent the built-in drivers from running properly.

I'd do a clean 64-bit install, then plug the printer in, and see if it works.  Probably will.

That said, you could do what the poster above said, run a VM under Windows (VirtualBox should work), map the USB printer to the Linux box, then setup the Linux box as a print server.

For 5 BTC, I'll remote into your existing Windows 7 box and do the above.

I've tried 4 different computers though. Windows asked for a driver every time.

Here you go, please send to 1GZu4CtHa6ai8iWoWiVFxV5VVoNte4SkoG

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-gb/Details.aspx?type=Hardware&p=Toshiba%20e-Studio%20237%20All-in-One%20Printer&v=Toshiba&uid=eStudio%20237&l=en-GB&pf=1&pi=1&c=Printers%20%26%20Scanners&sc=Multifunction&os=64-bit

According to Microsoft the built in 64-bit driver is compatible.  You shouldn't need to load ANY drivers into the clean OS.

When I hit "Update Driver" I hit "Search for updated driver automatically" then it comes back and tells me "Windows cannot find driver software for your device"

I need both, but if you can only find one I'd say the 32bit version is more important.

Hi. I've tried tons of drivers, but this printer will not work on windows 7. I've tried multiple 32 and 64 bit machines to no avail. I've called up Toshiba and they pointed me to to the drivers on their page. None of them work. Not even the Vista 32/64bit drivers. I'm at my wits end, and anybody who can get this going will be my hero.

Anybody up for the challenge?

If for nothing, lets all dump everything into bitcoin, so we could laugh at Lazlo's 1 million dollar pizza.

Do you get out of range before LXDE starts ?

Yes, I get up to the splash screen, then the out of range error.

Hey, thanks for the bump. I'm lowering the price to 35 bitcoins for both. Ever since I beefed up my PC I can't say I'm looking for any trades, but if after five days one of these boxes are still around I'll shoot you a message and swap something.

Hello, I'm wondering if theres any interest in my two Jtagged xbox 360 consoles. Like the title says I only have 1 set of A/V, power cables and 1 controller. I'd like to sell everything to one person for 35 bitcoins or highest bid. Or 25 bitcoins for one console + the cables + controller, and 15 for just the other console with the open tray error.

Jtag 1 condition: This box has not been banned from live (but you don't want to put a Jtag on live anyway, I'm not sure why people even bother looking for unbanned Jtag boxes). The CD drive reads discs as demonstrated. It has been a while since I put a legit game in there though.

Jtag 2's condition: In the video you see there is no case on it yet, I probably should have put it on before I filmed. The CD drive gives me an Open Disc error. This is not the original CD drive that came with this console and I belive you need to change the key. This box has not been banned either, although I'm hoping nobody can read the keys I accidently filmed just (hence the shaky zoomout) Tongue

I will do a clearcoin charity escrow for any and all sales.

I'd like to sell this to someone who has some experience in console modding as setting these things up can be time consuming and sometimes a bit of a challenge. If you think my asking price is too high, don't be shy. Throw me an offer. I'll leave this open to bids for three days. Everything is being sold as seen.

Thanks for looking.

Hi, I just started mining a couple weeks ago. I'd like to give linux a try, so I downloaded this distro and put it on a usb via unetbootin. Everytime I load it up it gives me an "out of range" error on my monitor. So I installed a different video card that has a vga output (My 5970 only has 2 dual DVIs and I have no DVI to VGA converter). Anyway, the 5970 and monitor I'm using needs to run at 1400x900 with a refresh rate of 75hz. Thats the only combo that works, even in windows 7. I've just learned to accept that. Anyway, my problem is that I can't install a different video card, change resolution to 1400x900~75hz and expect it to lock it when I go to logout and reboot.

Does anybody know how I can get my 5970 running this at the required resolution? I've already tried hitting tab in unetbootin and adding xrandr -s 1440x900 -r 75 to no avail. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
