Definitely blockchain if you want mobility for your coins but if you intend on cold storage, armory is the way to go.
I think blockchain is great, do paper wallets, setup watch only address in your blockchain wallet, and if you ever need to move around bitcoins once connected to the internet - easy to do so through their interface. Coinbase also has a quick and easy paper wallet offline system easy for mobility as well when needed.

What has been the typical setup on bitcointalk for charity bitcoin addresses? My youngest sister is with a missions group that got to the Philippines prior to the typhoon and is still there. I know them and the whole country could use a lot of help.
You are encouraged to donate via the official websites, since it is too easy for a noob to create a new account and post a bitcoin address for "donations'". I don't think there are "official" ways to donate to victims via bitcoin. It is a lofty goal still. I haven't seen any Philippines related Bitcoin charity donation addresses. But I do agree someone trusted in the community should set something like that up and even better if they have a local connection with a group like my sister's who can post photo updates to the threads, stories, etc. Those are my favorite types of donating, to actual mission groups on the ground. Yeah. It may be a lofty goal, but I'm trying to be the first. It ain't no loftier than this: Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund (.org, et al. registered to raise $1M USD)Domain names purchased: Check. Website in the works: Check. Founded by a trustworthy Bitcoiner: Check. Has donated to the cause: Check. Doesn't have access to a single satoshi: Check. ~TMI BTCITW Thanks for the link, that does look like the best option I see.

Okay, So where can I quickly just make sure everything checks out? Im sorry I have to make sure after my recent troubles with a large purchase that after months gone by they found out it was fake thats how legit the fraudulent ones were made, please provide me with the information needed to show what gold you have now that you are selling, do you have a ledger with feedback ?
Not totally clear on your post, but APMEX has a website called Apmex.com - they are my source for bullion and have been for years. As for traditional trust on this forum, I have sold thousands of dollars in products successfully in just a short period of time. Some of the trust you can see in my trust profile here.

So there hasn't been any successful charity bitcoin effort in the community here? Traditional avenues are great, but there countless organizations, groups, and smaller organizations down and dirty right now in the Philippines who could use the help greatly.

I got asked to do a Bitcoin seminar for a group of local Financial advisors to educate them on Bitcoin after they showed interest to me. The great news is after doing the seminar with the three main advisors interested, I will be doing a full fledged seminar with between 50-70 Financial Advisors. I am excited to educate people on Bitcoin and hopefully in turn get those advisors clients to set aside an amount for Bitcoin. Collectively they represent a few hundred million dollars in clients. I am extremely excited, and thought I would post about it since I think a lot of us can agree getting those in control of money onboard is a good goal for us who are sold on Bitcoin.

Does anyone here listen to the Clark Howard show on news radio? They had callers asking if bitcoin was legitimate. I think the general public and especially the not so connected people to innovation through technology are still not completely aware of bitcoin and what it is. I think we will see that soon and those deep "old money" pockets I believe will get into bitcoin. They definitely don't understand the fractions of a bitcoin at all let alone bitcoin itself.
I'm actually doing a consult with 3 local financial advisors and teaching them a course on bitcoin so they can talk to their network of financial advisors and in the end spread the word to their clients for a new opportunity to diversify their investment portfolio with a full seminar with the whole group.
Actually I think I am going to make a thread about this going into it further.

Cool offer for sure, I hope business is going good. It is, should see a lot new testimonials this week from all the shipped out boxes. Thanks for the compliment! Cigars, Cognac, Wine and Tailored Suits are my main passions apart from traveling.

escrow OR first send to buyers with btc history?
location? (US shipped registered mail / insured is preferred - would cost something about $15-$20 to ship registered fully insured)
at the moment all my bitcointalk transactions are buyer goes first. I may do so depending on the user. This is also me gauging for a possibility of starting a second "shop" here for gold bullion. I will ship worldwide, the U.S. and Canada, for no additional cost, a surcharge for elsewhere. Where is your shop located and are you registered with anyone because I recently receive fake silver, the Police said it was the best they've seen yet, passed every test except some laser test and the weights were sometimes off on some bars, I do not want to take this risk again! How can we verify whats being exchanged is real? All my gold bullion is through APMEX (one of the biggest in the world); registered with the American Numismatic Association. There is no worry about any of my bullion being fake. I also have a gold IRA.

Well guys my overall some of this thread is
Drugs aren't a good thing for btc but there is nothing we can do about it
I think maybe the government should focus more on the actual drug dealers and traffickers like they always have and the individuals that may launder their money aka silk road. Attacking BTC is not the answer though.

Amazing. I'm not sure if I should sell off mine now.
Don't I already did a big sale not too long ago and regret it.

Store them offline in a paper wallet. Blockchain has that option.

Yay! Nearly half way until the "when bitcoin hits $1000" party!
I like the way you think!

Right.... So do you actually have any proof they are involved in the drug trade or do they just fit the stereotype?
haha forgot about that assumption. Plenty of good people who "look like" they sell or use drugs and then theres plenty of people who don't look it and do haha.

for my refs here, may be of interest to you. I checked with the admin to ask about how they store the company bitcoins as I had never actually inquired about it. Good to know though they are keeping the majority offline for security.

I realize all the comments above are true but you must understand lots of people around the world are hesitant to use btc because of drugs being bought using this so maybe if btc had no connection to hackers or drug dealers more people would buy it
I guess it is their fault for hesitating and losing out then? In my opinion, those people if they exist, are not serious about buying bitcoin. It's more of a thought than a serious interest.
