I don't know of any coin that couldn't be used as a coin for greece. It's not like there are many requirements besides being able to use it as currency and the means to exchange for EUR (which would prob be set up by greece if they decided to go that route).
I don't know of any coin that could be used as a currency of a whole nation. The scalability just isn't there. That's actually a good point. If the coins offers asset to asset exchange, then why not? Eg 30 assets of eggs for 17 assets of tomatoes
I don't think in a scenario like this anyone would be using an asset exchange. You go to the market just like you do know and then pay with %insertrandomroin% instead of EUR. Do you honestly believe all of a sudden small markets would start to put their entire investory into an asset exchange ? Yes but someone could steal your coins without stealing your computer if your password is weak. I don't see how any of this pertains to decentralization though  Don't make a weak password? For example with Bitcoin,Monero,Litecoin, etc I can generate a random wallet and put it in cold-storage, but from what I understand NXT wallets are only stored online?
NXT wallets are always in cold storage until you log in. Someone could steal your computer and your funds would still be safe. Yes but someone could steal your coins without stealing your computer if your password is weak. I don't see how any of this pertains to decentralization though |

Hi Guys, It is my pleasure to introduce you to Namespaces on NEM! A domain name is required when making an asset on NEM (that asset function is called NEM Mosaics and will be explained more later). Each individual who wishes to create a mosaic needs to register a root domain name. This domain name can be thought of very much like a website domain and in NEM is known as a namespace. This can be bought for an amount of XEM (to be defined later). The namespace length shall be limited to 16 alphanumeric characters. A creator owning the root domain namespace can create as many sub-domains as wanted, using a convention similar to the Java namespace convention, i.e., separated by a dot . to represent a domain or subdomain and an asterisk surrounded by a space on each side * to represent the name of an asset. This is the current internal convention in NIS and how it is represented later in the NIS and/or NCC UI might differ. This gives the creator a practically limitless number of mosaics that can be defined within a practically limitless number of sub-domains. The sub-levels of a namespace can act as the actual name of the asset, or in some cases can be a class of assets as it is itself a sub-domain with lots of assets under that sub-domain name. This means that last part of a mosaic will always be the name of the individual asset on the NEM blockchain and the prior names will act as the domain and/or subdomain for that asset.  In the above example there are 6 assets. They are as follows: 1. jabo38.jeffsilver * halfounce 2. jabo38.jeffsilver * ounce2015 3. jabo38 * iposhares 4. jabo38.exchange * usd 5. jabo38.exchange * eur 6. jabo38.exchange * zar In the first example the domain is jabo38.jeffsilver and the asset is halfounce. In the second example the domain is jabo38.jeffsilver and the asset is ounce2015. And in the third example the domain is jabo38 and the asset is iposhares. While the first part of a namespace is globally unique on the NEM blockchain, the rest of the parts of a namespace are not. Having non-unique sub-domains in a namespace system allows for anyone to use any name in the subdomain positions, making squatting on certain names far less exclusive as they are not globally unique, and at the same time giving chances for easily recognizable names within ones personal local network. That's really cool. No more assets with the same name trying to scam people and if a person uses namespaces the way they are intended you can finally keep track of all assets that someone created with ease. Yes I have the private key , but 0 coin in the account
Make sure you're looking at the correct account. When you import the private-key it will create another account (the one you just imported) so you need to switch to that account to see your XEM. Does the client show the correct address (the one you registered) in the upper left corner ? |

Now later on my brother asked to carry on witth the process for him and gave me his account details as he does not speak English and I did all the process for him till the end, I die now if I am lying. Please can I ask someone of the member to re-post this link https://forum.nemcoin.com/?topic=2488.0 NEM redemption starts now-page 1 where I was given the right private key with my address and now its given me a new address with the same private address in the wallet with 0 NEM, when I did the checked in the past in that link it said it was correct when I did the verification test. I will write a post on Sunday in bitcointalk, my patient has a limit and after emailing makoto for 4 months with very poor messages to me and contradicting information. I will expose all I know. Accusing people of Socks for having 3 stakes just to takes those stakes for themselves to accumulate more and more. to my eyes this is a scam in big magnitude and I will prove it on Sunday. You can delete this post and I will paste it on Sunday. Two years following this coin, protecting it and talking good about it to end up with 0 NEM and the team having more than 30 stakes and more. They will not be able to delete any post on Sunday as I will run it and everybody will be able to explain their cases since the start of NEM. Enough is enough.......
