481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are the whales getting beaten? on: December 07, 2014, 01:50:28 AM
It seems like there are either fewer dumping whales right now or that they are not able to manipulate the market like they used to. Which is it?

It is that the weak hands have all gone and the whales cant start a sell off because there are few willing to sell?

more and more people get used to them and cash out on them. Manipulation can't go on forever because it's repetive patterns and people start to exploit those which makes the manipulation ineffective.
482  Economy / Speculation / Re: Constant Downward Pressure Due To Miners? on: December 07, 2014, 01:46:51 AM
yes inflation is too high and it affects the market in a very negative way. How long do you need to repeat dicussions on it? I do buy low inflation/ low volatility coins which are the solution while you are still analysing the problem.

Coins with lower inflation than bitcoin have a very bright future imo.

High inflation and miners selling causes speculators to sell causes miners to sell faster and everyone else to sell more - it's a negative feedback loop that is only accelarating itself.

what if it's just a bot to fake volume and growth is really not happening?
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Vitalik Butterin - a communist who wants to introduce price fixing to bitcoin on: December 07, 2014, 01:22:04 AM
http://www.coindesk.com/can-bitcoins-price-ever-stable/

is this the dumbest shit i have been reading in a long time or what?

I'd suggest to boycot coindesk aswell as Vitalik Butterin for facilitating mental diarrhea aswell as for excessive trolling.

On the content: it's already shown volatility goes back to inflationrate so there is from my viewpoint two choices: wait for it to fade out in bitcoin or bring an altcoin with lower inflation and lower volatility to the front. Their idea of flexible supply is utter nonsense and goes against the idea of the free market. What the heck are these communists doing in bitcoin?

coindesk is such a pain to read sometimes. See that article? They are trolling on purpose.

"If Buterin is right, and flexible supply is the only answer to volatility,..."

hello. Dumpers enabled me to get a nice bag. Say hello to new people and good by to old ones Smiley

So now let's move this coin forward to a healthy cap, shall we?

But i still sense some weak hands. So no rush at all.  Kiss

Yeah I get that, and thanks for being supportive. I'm holding a lot of UNO, but not interested in rocking this boat.

Is this Gustav guy one of the developers or just someone with strong opinions?

lol. Only someone with strong opinions  Roll Eyes
hope it's ok.
Don't take me more serious than you do anyone else on the thread  Wink

Thanks for your honest opinion.

I have no stake in blocknet, I was just asking an innocent question. It's not my project.

Although this is a newbie account I am not a newbie. I lost access to my old account so started a new one. I have read this entire thread and have been paying attention for a long time.

I've been in UNO since shortly after it launched and upgraded my holdings a lot when it dipped a while back. I believe in it and am in for the long haul.

 Smiley
welcome (back?) to the community. Yes, i believe uno is better off going its own way than let itself being sucked in by blocknet. I don't believe in blocknet and stay far away from it, which has been obvious now.
I think the investors/communites in both projects are quite different aswell. I see blocknet as a rapidly failing thing so i would be concerned to not let my holdings in uno be affected by those other people traveling down the wrong path (maybe).
I think FK is doing a great job with managing the community. Uno is open community and no closed door politics and no strong hirarchy (blocknet appears to be the opposite). I think if the community is asked for input and everyone taken into consideration and it is looked for agreement amongst investors (especially in cases of such strong direction changes) like it seems to be the case here, the outcome will be the very best case for the coin (blocknet did the exact opposite with XC and doged investors big time there). In a company you let shareholders vote on things aswell. Coins should not be run much differently. Uno is known and can be much more known in the future for treating investors good which will ultimatley lead to more support and more investement.
Blocknet does not show any longterm thinking in the above lined out manner so that's why i wouldn't like it. It appears more shortterm (very pumpy and dumpy) and i don't see how uno would benefit a single inch from relating to it. So i suggest it doesn't.
 Wink

if it would turn out to be relevant or a positive surprise later we can still reevaluate things but right now i would have some real doubts about it.

(this is my personal views)

Oh come on, someone sell me 1 UNO for 73900 !

Been dancing around there with someone...

Just sent 10 to my cold storage ~ !

Here; uMcNf**********

739 on cryptsy?

I'd just let it sit for a day or so. I think it could get filled if you just let it sit there. Bleutrade has less volume and maybe less chance to get filled but lowest buyoffer is 715 now with 74 you are certainly the top bid there. On bittrex too.
Need some patience with the filling of orders Wink

These are the only times you really miss that sellpressure from the miners you are used to in other coins, actually.  Wink

Any interest on the part of the UNO developers to join BlockNet?

watching the clusterfuck unfold with interest. Should uno join? I don't think so!
Blocknet wouldn't get anything from uno aswell since there are no features to share with your mechanism (which is brand new if even released yet).
All you would get is something to hype and pump and dump on.
From your standpoint it doesn't even make sense to want to include uno - maybe for hype reasons.
Should uno sell itself and loose most of the value it has to help blocknet get out of the shit? Certainly not!
Uno will loose value in that process, pretty sure. So no, not interested.

Other question: do you hold uno? How many/Why not? And why ask such a question with a brand new account?
You clearly haven't even been following this thread.

OMG! Please go ask somewhere else! Uno will be merged with many other usefull coins in the future and will be its own center of a small economy. Maybe blocknet coins all want to fork to sha256 3 minutes blocktime to be taken into consideration for merging?

blocknet: please not and don't waste everyones time with trying to convince people.

I am strongly against it and i feel others wouldn't want it too.
Dev is already working on implementing merged mining solutions which is the way to go for uno and there has been large agreement on it within the community. Uno is a solid coin and is not good to abuse for a shortterm hype of other projects.

UNO > Blocknet

If i wanted blocknet i would buy blocknet. I hold uno because it's not blocknet. I was glad to not be in any associated coin when it launched. I would not buy blocknet currently and i have never been holding any. In case i would have been holding coins involved with it (which i did not) i would have sold them at announcement. So please leave my uno alone so i don't have to exit altcoin markets entirely because i am forced into holding something i didn't order. Thank you very much!
We are watching it though, no worries. The management is horrible so far. Also how investors are treated over there is a horror. So no, not interested (at least not me)
Some big questionmarks around that ico aswell. If it was up to me i'd give a clear: no
Uno will be doing better without it and worse with it. Blocknet does better with it and worse without it. So, no. Just no.
Manage to survive with it the cluster-thing for a year or two (preferably three or four) and maybe then - but asking before even showing some real value and functionality for some time is a clear red flag here.
(my personal view on it - 2cents disclaimer)

sorry for being pretty direct

497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Interest in Bitcoin is declining on: December 05, 2014, 11:44:23 PM

That is why this rigged horrible game is over! Even if we hit 1,000 per coin it will not be sustainable & try telling investors about the crazy 12months period that it went from 1,200 to sub 300 again and again! GREAT INVESTMENT GUYS COME ON BOARD LOL!

just two more halvings until it inflates less than the USD ... you can do it if you just believe in it Wink Only 8 years or so ...

the image problem bitcoin has because of it is undeniable by now because 'fewcoins' got that right. This shit is just going to repeat over and over again.

To break it down to one sentence:
BTC just can't stay up (yet) - not possible - no sense in pumping it
low interest from new money is just rational.
498  Economy / Speculation / Re: Interest in Bitcoin is declining on: December 05, 2014, 11:05:14 PM

You do not understand English, do you? I was saying due to the inflation fresh money is needed to stay at the same price, and now there is not enough new interest with new money to support that.

so who is the fool who wants to invest just to keep the price up?  Cheesy
I think that would be the real question

PS: bad actors trying to cap the price who are probably out there aswell have an extraordinary easy game with bitcoin right now. So if there is large money in BTC trying to surpress the price, well that's bad news for bitcoin then because these actors will succeed for a long time as they are mining aswell very likely.

PPS: if you are atually trading according to the theory of a large hand selling in key moments you will do very good trading. These red candles are very predictable i do have nothing against them.  Wink

But as for this topic:
a declining interest in an commodity that didn't live up to its promises is just normal. Looking at the charts right now: i would be asking serious questions if i should become invested if i was looking at it first time today. I would probably end up not investing because of these charts. So i guess that's what going on. People look at the charts and are just turned away by them (who wouldn't be?)

Good news is: we will find out what the rock bottom is  Smiley  (well maybe not so good news depending on your trading)
499  Economy / Speculation / Re: Interest in Bitcoin is declining on: December 05, 2014, 11:03:20 PM

Once there are only 1M btc left to be minted and it's near impossible to mine them, the price will rise.

but that would make mining obsolete aswell (according to the logic of the proponents of high inflation for the sake of network security)

You can not have high inflation and a high price for it at the same time - shouldn't be hard to understand.
500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Interest in Bitcoin is declining on: December 05, 2014, 10:59:41 PM
Bitcoin is continually breaking all-time records for transaction volume so I can't see how more use = declining interest.

Um because all those transactions are bullshit & created so you have the same confidence in your statement that you just used..
Learn to investigate past the manipulation! All the scamming, fraud, and gambling transactions are NOT making a good case for bitcoin.

^this

never trust a statistic you haven't rigged yourself  Wink
Creating transactionvolume is so cheap and easy to do in bitcoin, it would be a surpirse if the bigger holders would not do it.
