481  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETA for the ETF? (and Gemini Exchange speculation) on: August 14, 2015, 03:23:35 AM
I wonder how much institutional money is ready to enter the bitcoin economy with Gemini?

The same that entered itbit.

nada, zip, zilch, zero

Why are  institutional investors requesting early access then?

483  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Long Tail on: August 13, 2015, 06:28:00 PM
I think you should not say "we" like you are a fellow bitcoin enthusiast.  You are a troll, remember?
484  Economy / Speculation / Re: 44% of the network already switched to 8M blocks on: August 13, 2015, 01:44:35 AM
I hope people realize a vote for 8mb isnt a vote for XT its a vote for core devs to update core.
485  Economy / Service Discussion / Where can I buy physical gold for bitcoin? on: August 12, 2015, 03:28:30 PM
And is it safe to have it shipped?
486  Economy / Speculation / Re: About to pop. on: August 12, 2015, 03:23:19 PM
Kwuckduck is a troll now trying to save face and is trying to be more believable since trolls are dismissed so quickly.  He only posts in the speculation forum and only after a price drop to spread his agenda.  He's a joke and everybody knows it.
487  Economy / Economics / Dow Jones inching closer to 16k. Anybody else going to sell? on: August 12, 2015, 02:49:28 PM
If we dip below 16k I think I'm going to sell half my stocks and move into physical gold.  I'm not going through 08 again.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone selling NXT for ETH? on: August 12, 2015, 02:44:29 PM
This belongs in alt discussion

Will Gemini have a effect on price?
490  Economy / Speculation / Re: About to pop. on: August 12, 2015, 01:40:08 PM
Jeeze new accounts already deleted.  Lol
491  Economy / Speculation / Re: About to pop. on: August 12, 2015, 01:38:58 PM
Why do you guys make new accounts to comment on your own posts?  Do you also like your own Facebook posts as well since nobody else does?
492  Economy / Speculation / Re: 44% of the network already switched to 8M blocks on: August 11, 2015, 10:43:33 PM
I think finally resolving the block size debate will cause a increase in price.
493  Economy / Speculation / Re: 44% of the network already switched to 8M blocks on: August 11, 2015, 09:33:04 PM
I'd rather explain Biff forking the 1955 timeline with the almanac then try to explain a bitcoin fork here.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I ran Bitcoin Core for >3 years, and I turned it off today on: August 11, 2015, 09:24:11 PM
Nobody is going to mine a bitcoin with 10% of the hashingpower of the real bitcoin after the fork.  The dust will settle after only a few blocks in my opinion and the losers will quickly switch over with their tail between their legs.  The fuders spreading lies about XT are just as bad as the speculation trolls.
495  Economy / Speculation / Re: 44% of the network already switched to 8M blocks on: August 11, 2015, 09:13:32 PM
Just so its clear for everybody XT and core are the same coins right now.  No coins are changed that were made before a fork.  Only after the fork do you need to be cautious of where you get your coins.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin core, Bitcoin xt, forks left right and centre, Where do i stand? on: August 11, 2015, 06:39:05 PM
Anybody saying their going to double their btc is a troll.
No you don't have to do anything.  The only coins to be worried about would be ones bought after the fork.
497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin core, Bitcoin xt, forks left right and centre, Where do i stand? on: August 11, 2015, 06:16:05 PM
It doesn't really matter what us little guys do.  I'll be sitting back and waiting to see what all the big miners do then I'll follow suite.
498  Economy / Speculation / Re: 44% of the network already switched to 8M blocks on: August 11, 2015, 05:55:42 PM
Why is a bigger block thread in the speculation forum?  This should be in the main discussion forum.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why i will support bigger blocks - and you should too on: August 10, 2015, 11:12:48 PM
Are the core devs even doing anything about this?  Or is Gavin the only one being pro active?  Is the core devs policy to wait until the mempool is permanently backlogged then rush out a fix?
500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will price start tanking? on: August 10, 2015, 10:51:00 PM
If the software is very similar with the bitcoin core.

Whats the point of having bitcoin xt? Is it like an insurance incase if the core ever failed on you? and if thats the case those odds are non existent.

Well isn't the point of the XT just a hope that the majority of bitcoin users will update towards the XT and in that way support the block size increase?

If I am right than you have a point very well explained, the point is that we get bigger blocks.

This is correct.  XT nodes currently at 133.  I wouldn't even give this scenario any thought until XT nodes is around 1000.  Right now it looks like there is no chance of a majority going to XT.
