481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins have been around from the start on: September 18, 2019, 03:50:36 PM
If i am right shitcoins have been in existence since the earlier days of coins like bitcoin and litecoin, some coins came into crypto space as early as 2011 and they vanished into thing air, failed project or scam maybe, but now that crypto is been heard of all around the globe so what do you expect? scammers will invade of cos but these won't stop good projects from been born even when 90percent of projects are failing, my advice is just be sure of what you are investing on, make sure they have what it takes and have it at the back of your mind that its still a risk you've taken, anything can happen
You're right, and now it is difficult for us to identify the best and trusted one. People especially newbies must know how to be careful nowadays because scammers will do anything just to get the benefits they wanted. We need to be careful like whenever we are making decisions on investing because we can't predict the possible things that might happen and we need to think in precisely way so we will not regret it.
Its safer for investors to go 40% investment on altcoins and 60% on top 20 altcoins, i belief its not really easy for a coin to reach top20, reaching that far says alot about how good the project is and how hardworking the project teams are.
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hash rate at all-time highs again on: September 17, 2019, 06:38:58 AM
I am still planing to buy one of the fastest asic miner to start mining bitcoin but since the difficulty have reach a new high i bet bitmain will release better asic miners so i will have to wait and see, i don't want to end up with miners that we be obsolete in few years
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy at risk using mobile phones. Not only Bitcoin-related. on: September 17, 2019, 06:34:04 AM
Don't keep coins on exchanges, don't keep coins on phones and make sure your 2fa isn't sms based. It's an easy way to not take a apart in these. That and don't give your phone number out to everyone, they have to know who to target as well.

Possibly run a second burner phone with just sms and Google auth and other 2fa, nothing else.
Don't keep coins on exchanges is acceptable but don't keep coins on phone? i don't see any reason why because i think its safe on my own side, i have been keeping my coins on phone since 2016 and i have no issue till date, secondly my phone has inbuilt fingerprint and face recognition for anyone to access
484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sad News: Kidnappers now requesting bitcoin as ransom in Nigeria on: September 17, 2019, 06:26:37 AM
If kidnappers or any criminal organizations are requesting for bitcoin for settlement or ransoms they are obviously requesting for money, bitcoin has gotten to that stage of standing next to fiat so i don't see how this is any different

487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will There Really Be An Altcoin Season or Just a plot to Keep us in the Loop on: September 09, 2019, 09:54:52 PM
While our altcoins keep depreciating in value daily as we keep vigil for altseason, bitcoin dominance has crossed 70% and keeps growing in strength. Will there really be an altseason.

Kindly read -
https://medium.com/bull-bitcoin/alt-season-scamming-noobs-since-2013-71bd19410d98
If truly altcoin season HYPE was been created to keep scamming noobs since 2013 i wonder what happened in 2017 after bitcoin hits 19,000$,this article doesn't make sense to me and its only been created to create fear in the heart of altcoin investors and lovers,as for me i don't care and i will keep investing in altcoins with real working products
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is it easy to list token in bittrex? on: September 09, 2019, 09:48:13 PM
I read that bittrex accept new coins and tokens with no fees but they ask many requirements, so is it easy to fulfill them requirements specially US or Maltese law and documents?
Thanks in advance

I don't know about the requirements of listing new coin on bittrex for free,i think it will be better if you write or send a message to bittrex contact or team to get yourself some answers once and for all
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever invested in an ICO? on: September 09, 2019, 09:45:44 PM
Hey Smiley many thanks for your response. I am actually interested in the ICO success factors, therefore I was looking for people who know a lot about ICOs and have actually invested in ICOs.
Don't bother trying to know what people's ICO experience looks like, to 90% of investors on here ICO is a big failure, not encouraging and i will never invest in any ICO project again no matter how good they look one can easily get deceived, its been bad experience for me since almost a year now
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to alts if Bitcoin crashes back to $5000? on: September 07, 2019, 04:02:28 AM
I don't think many alts would recover against Bitcoin if this happens and so they will crash even more. Some solid alts with good liquidity like Litecoin may recover but most won't recover in my opinion. Thoughts? Undecided
Most times all altcoins available in crypto space will follow bitcoin lead if bitcoin increased in value, altcoins must add value atleast and if bitcoin loses value it affects altcoins but only very high demanding altcoins care less about bitcoin movement because they have what it takes to surge in value and non dependent on bitcoin movement
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you staking or mining, or both? on: September 05, 2019, 04:46:30 PM
PoW (Proof of Work)

PoS (Proof of Stake)

The most popular consensus mechanisms.

Proof of Stake protocols are gaining traction.

What about you, personally?

Are you mining, are you staking, or are you doing both? And why?
Either mining or staking they are both good ways of earning in crypto space and they both have their advantages and disadvantages too so its all on you to chose the one that suit you very well, for me i like POW better that POS mining because i find setting up a mining rig a big headache for me especially when things start taking different turn like GPU not displaying etc
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be careful with projects that offer you great prizes, that is not a guarantee of on: September 05, 2019, 04:40:19 PM
Luring investors with high yield investment plan is very common in crypto space today but there is no one to be blame, not even the scammers or fake developers but the greedy investors, there ars many warning from members that investors must not invest a penny in projects that offers too good to be real returns, obviously they are scam
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MIRACLE TELE SCAM??? on: September 01, 2019, 05:28:57 PM
Miracle tele teams and CEO have nothing to offer investors anymore, they have been around since 2017 and that was why i trusted them but i am glad i did not invest alot before everything went side ways and now they are not replying to messages or mails
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite Proof of Stake network / type of PoS? on: September 01, 2019, 05:16:33 PM
Many POW coins are now switching to Prove of Stake and ETH is joining the circus as well,i think POS must have a better advantage or favours for the projects than POW because i really dont understand why many projects are switching,POW helps in keeping liquidity alive
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunting is past it's glory days on: August 31, 2019, 05:25:30 PM
Its wise not to give up entirely on bounties for now since no one knows tomorrow,as impossible as it looks for now altcoin season might return and everyone will still be able to make profits out of shitcoins and useless tokens as well but its better to promote promising projects only, they might turn scam but its better than promoting shitcoins
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove of stake COINS gets the JOB done easily on: August 31, 2019, 05:09:58 PM
POW has its own advantages as well, prove of work is better for supply distribution of a currency, more distributions means more liquidity so POW will never cease to exist in crypto space,Despite the fact that there are numerous roads of cryptographic money you can gain profits from, digital currency staking will consistently stay one of the best and most effortless methods for profiting through blockchain.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bounties keeps getting worse on: August 30, 2019, 06:52:06 AM
Bounties are taking more sudden turns than ever, now I don't realize what to accept anymore,i need to pass on a message to all bounty hunters on here that bounties with working items can turn scam, yes it transpired already, bounties with genuine use life cases or working products can go to be trick directly before your eye.

Regardless of whether the groups or teams are professionals or they have great previous chronicles doesn't mean they can't trick individuals, they are just feeding investors with fake use cases to lure them
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO and IEO running at same time for same project on: August 30, 2019, 06:39:09 AM
With the introduction of IEO, there is a great reduction in holding ICO  by the projects.
Even though this is the situation, now a days I have observed that some projects are holding ICO as well as IEO same time. They also don't share the exact amount of funds raised
Isn't it confusing for investors? What are your thoughts? Why projects are using both methods?
There is nothing wrong with projects using multiple fundraising ways to achieve their goals, either its ICO or IEO its still all about fund raising, projects can switch from ICO to IEO if they feel its right for their project and we all know that IEO is more successful than ICO so its really not a bad idea
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of tokens you promoted and invested down 90% on: August 30, 2019, 06:25:34 AM
I just received some of the tokens I've promoted in the bounty campaign, some of these coins reach their soft cap or able to generate funds in their ICO stages but I was disappointed seeing all these coins down 90% or no buy order at all when it hit the market.

And to think some of them included in their promotion that they will not let the price go down in their ICO price, do you think it's still worth investing in ICO if there is no uncertainty that you will a make a profit, or is it because Bitcoin dominance left no room for new coins to grow in the market?

I really don't know what to say, many bounty projects are not worth promoting anymore and its just like every other ICO projects,to make better profit in crypto investment now you have to

1. Invest in IEO projects rather than ICO projects
2. Choose IEO projects from top exchanges only for successful outcome
3. Promote bounties that have a real life use cases but mind you its all about how lucky you are now, unfortunately there is no better way to detect which project will do fine or which one will turn scam
