481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 12, 2018, 03:57:48 AM
Ethereum is still one of my favorite crypto projects. Vitalik put the blockchain on a whole new level. I have no doubt that Ethereum can be the number one crypto within the next two years.

Ethereum is my favorite mainly because the transaction speed is super fast. And happy to say we are again slowly entering $1000 (current price $959)

"Super fast" is a very relative term I would say. It's still by far not fast enough to serve the demand that'll be created through blockchain platforms very soon. But we'll get there eventually!  Cool

Finally we have something to hold faith on. I think ETH will keep building momentum throughout 2018. My projection is  2.5 k end of year.

By the way that the StateofDapps keeps building up, and with the upcoming updates for ETH, I also think that it will keep growing throughout 2018. I see it at 3000-4000 by the end of the year

Impossible to know where Ethereum will be at the end of the year as there are so many unpredictable things to be factored in. I am also positive though about the overall outlook.

Some more information about Genesis:

By combining innovative methods and reliable blockchain tools, we eliminate intermediaries and brokers. It makes investing direct, transparent and automatically adjustable.
The profit is distributed according to the number of GES tokens purchased by investors, based on smart contracts. The number of tokens, interests on payments and the current market value of an investor's assets will be shown in the investor's personal account.

When it comes to purchasing property, will GES token holders have any voice or vote or is that decision exclusively up to the team behind Genesis?

Hey there. I’ve heard that it’ll be possible to collect funds for fighting against race and gender discrimination on GoHelpFund. Is that true?

If the platform applied any form of censorship it would destroy the whole point of such a platform. I believe everything will be possible if there is a need for it and people willing to serve that need. Can't see a reason why certain issues would be excluded from potential aid.

Splitting Coins is not a good idea for staking at this time. ive tried to split my 470+ coins to 3 and when i hit a stake it always orphaned and never confirm. so combine them again into single block and all is good again and just hit another successful stake.

Don't orphaned blocks have to do with a high latency? Why would the staking weight play a role for a block to be an orphan or not?

I can't confirm but i think it works like a competition, who ever get the first required confirmation will get the block rewards. as for my case i think my internet connection is too blame for my orphan blocks.

It works like a competition, that is true. But the staking weight only determines the relative likelihood of finding a block, while you can still lose out if someone else finds a block within a blink of an eye later but broadcasts it faster because of the better connection.

Buyers shift to other new active coins  Undecided Stratis was good but developers get huge money and abandon project. check lisk how back soon to high price or neo

Lol are you calling Stratis a dead project then so to say? I think it's anything but dead. It hasn't even started yet to fully enfold its potential. Not a very good timing to leave now imo.

I think he sold stratis above 0.0012 btc and now calls stratis a dead project, stratis will never die, Chris will use his all energy in Stratis project.

That is really funny comment to see how people trolling without any reason with active dev team and a large community behind this after this we can say this that person could be blind who can't see the growth.

It's mostly people who have no financial interest in the project anymore or never even had any interest in it. Yet they take the time to come to the forum and post some BS.

In real estate, blockchain can help to organize new forms of registries, titles of ownership and transactions. Blocks recorded in the blockchain system will certify the process of transfer of ownership of the property-money transfers, contracts and data of the owner will be confirmed.

This will help eliminate the middlemen who take a commission in the process of real estate transactions - lawyers, realtors, notaries and employees of registration chamber. Minimum is from 1-2% of the transaction amount. In addition, the risks of fraud (for example, when renting or selling apartments) and the time to prepare transactions and certificates will be reduced. Specialized blockchain platforms will prevent data forgery, simplify the processes of checking real estate before selling, customers will have access to platforms 24/7.

well, you are right, blockchain will minimize risks and so on for sellers and buyers of real estates. But main goal of Genesis project is profit from investment.

Is Genesis going to purchase real estate and then rent it out or what will the business model look like? Right now real estate prices are sky high because of low interest rates.

Therefore, an ICO is needed to raise funds. The property will be purchased only acting with tenants with long-term contracts, so it will be simple enough to calculate its return on investment and profitability.

Assuming the income will be generated as projected Wink Renting out property can cause a lot of trouble. I made some crazy experiences Cheesy

Everything that the platform included are well-organized and purposeful. Its customer support really seems so reliable for gamers.
It is good that their support team are skillful in games because they will able to understand and fix what will be the complain or the issue of the players. It is best that the Abyss get their people that have a background in programming, developing and all IT experts.

It would be pretty weird if they had no clue about gaming, wouldn't it? I am not overly surprised that they do actually know what they are talking about Wink

497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 17, 2018, 12:27:15 PM
Guys, there are quite a lot smart contract platforms on the market at the moment and new ones are coming. Do you think Ethereum will retain leadership among such a platforms forever? For me, it might be more profitable to invest in lower market cap platforms (Lisk, Qtum EOS, ..) ?

You're making the assumption those lower market cap platforms will see the same kind of attention Ethereum has, and increase in adoption/usage/value at a greater rate than Ethereum (otherwise, it would be by definition, less profitable)....it's a bold assumption Smiley

And do those platforms have a leader with an IQ of 257 like Vitalik Buterin when Albert Einstein and Bill Gates both had an identical IQs of 160? The saying goes whatever the other platforms can do we can do better, why bet on less intelligence?

Stephen Hawking (IQ score of 160).
Marilyn Vos Savant (IQ score of 228) ...
Christopher Hirata (IQ score of 225) ...
Kim Ung-Yong (IQ score of 210) ...
Edith Stern (IQ score of more than 200) ...
Christopher Michael Langan (IQ score between 190 and 210) ...
Garry Kasparov (IQ score of 194) ...
Philip Emeagwali (IQ score of 190)
Vitalik Buterin (IQ score of 257)

Do you see my point?
Get real, 257 my eye. He would be listed in guiness if he was even close to that. I bet I can beat him at chess

The real issue here is that IQ isn't a very good metric for intellectual capacity. It's just a widely known one :/

$ETC : Welcome to the Beginning >_> the ETC/ETH flippening!!  Cool  weeee

ETC is literally going nowhere Ethereum hasn't already been. Why do you always seem to shill the worst coins gembitz? I feel bad for your portfolio Cheesy

Even though I agree that Vitalik Buterin is pretty damn smart I am wondering where that number of 257 comes from? I am sure he didn't bring it up himself so who was it or who performed the actual test?

Wow, something new! Does anyone know the details about the project?

The aim of the project is to purchase the commercial real estate in order to rent it out and make a profit.

I am always wondering how decentralized management of real estate could efficiently work. There are so many things to consider. Will there be managers in every city who can have a look at the property?

Тhey have representatives in several regions and initially they will find the property in those areas. They have teams experience in property management in different regions. They will by a big buildings and each of them will have its own service manual.

That means they will have to build a massive network of real estate managers around the globe? Might be quite a difficult task.

Any business is a difficult task. They have the team with experience almost all over Europe.  And this team is able to solve all the problems!

I guess this remains to be seen, doesn't it? Wink How can you be sure they are able to solve the problems no matter what? Ever saw them doing it before? And also it will be interesting to see whether they are actually solving a problem or not. Sometimes the application of blockchain might cause more trouble than it actually solves problems. I am curious to see how this all works out.

What it will be from this project only time will show. And now you can only study the site and read whitepapers and analyze how promising this project  can be.

Absolutely! I was just surprised how you derived the conclusion that this team is able to pull it off. This is all experimental, nobody knows how it'll work out.

The project is developing. Now they are preparing all the papers, the legal component, get licenses, modify the website, make the Cabinet, It will be obligatory verification. A lot of work. They  want to accept Bank cards and Bank transfers. They will have a Bank account.

And there you go! That's a lot of work to do and it will take a lot of time until we are able to find out whether they are able to make this big or not. Patience is required I guess.

One of MEW founders has launched new service of MyCrypto and promised that it will serve ETH community even better than MEW. But when I tried to land up on mycrypto.com my MCAffee SiteAdvisor blocked the access   showing  "Whoa, that page could be risky". Why is that?

Works fine for me, it has the same source as MEW for the time being. Here's Taylor's article about the shift:
https://medium.com/mycrypto/mycrypto-launch-6a066bf41093

But how do they claim to serve the ETH community even better? Did you guys experience any problems with MEW? Maybe I missed some big stories but I never had trouble using that service.
