Yes you are right Nepal performance in the match against Namibia was not good. They only scored 132 runs in 42 overs which shows that they were not very good at batting. Namibia played very well and won the game by 4 wickets. Gerhard Erasmus was the best player he took five wickets for only 28 runs. Nepal should think about how they batted and try to get better for future games. They need to look at their weaknesses and make changes so that they have a better chance of winning in the next matches. Defeating Nepal at their backyard is not that easy, but Namibia managed to do that. And remember that the Namibian team was without their superstar David Wiese. On the other hand, they brought in Jack Brassell who performed exceptionally in the recently concluded U19 world cup. These two teams (Nepal and Namibia) are among the fastest growing associate teams in international cricket. It is difficult to say who is better out of these two, but I am happy with the fact that both are playing with 100% native squads and still making great improvement with every passing year. |

Am not surprised to see England absolutely hammering the Indians at the moment since this is a batting pitch and I heard that it will get better to bat on over time. Duckett is on fire while Pope is just enjoying the show.
I feel that Jadeja might break this partnership soon. A draw seems like the most probable result for this encounter in my opinion. What will happen if Duckett gets out early tomorrow? LOL.. so far it is like one-man show from Ben Duckett. He has scored with a strike rate of ~120, while Ollie Pope from the other end has crawled to 18 from 30 balls. Zak Crawley also struggled before he got out to Ravichandran Ashwin. He made just 15 from 28 balls. Duckett has moved to 97 from 79 balls, and he has scored almost 70% of the total (England are 137/1 as of now). England seems to be in a very strong position, and they have recovered from the loss of Crawley. BTW, Rohit is doing the right thing by sticking with Ravichandran Ashwin. He seems to be the best bowler for India as of now.

West Indies cricket board has been filled with controversies despite this team won a test match after so many years in Australia and now the beat Australia in a T20 series despite losing the series. They were far better than the Afghanistan team who lost all their matches against Srilanka. I feel they would not play bad in the upcoming World Cup and they might be able to give some tough competition to big teams in the tournament. The T20 World Cup is about to start in a few months from now. I am sure that West Indies will be able to do a better job this time, because they will be having the home advantage. A few days ago we saw the excellent batting of Nepalese players against Canada. Nepalese players performed well in all three of the three-match series and won all three. Overall, the Indian squad looks a little inexperienced IMO. And the Poms are right on the money. I agree that Sri Lanka has been performing well against associate nations but has struggled on the bigger stage. It is true that Sri Lanka had a strong winning streak when entering the Asia Cup but unfortunately they didn't win the final. Similarly in the World Cup they failed to make a significant impact. However it is important to note that the players are gaining experience and with time they have the potential to become more competitive when playing against teams from SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia) as well as India and Pakistan. I hope SriLanka team will eliminate the mistakes and will shine as a shining star.
At this point, there is not a single world class player in the Sri Lankan team. Previously they had several of them, including Muttiah Muralitharan, Arjuna Ranatunga, Lasith Malinga, Sanath Jayasuriya and Kumar Sangakkara. Sri Lanka has stayed where they were 25 years ago (or become even worse), while the other teams have moved light-years ahead of them. Actually I was thinking that Afghanistan maybe able to win this series. But Sri Lanka was able to use their home conditions properly to their own advantage. |

It's a bit harsh comparing the India u-19 team with the Senior Indian team.
Indian u-19 team's head to head record against Australia in the WC is very good and they hardly fumble against them in the finals, previous 2 u-19 WC Ind vs Aus finals went India's way but it doesn't happen every time so props to the Australian team. They were good with the ball and richly deserved the trophy. The massive margin of victory by the Australians is what irritates me. Just 4 Indian batsmen made double digit scores and none of them managed a half century. The pace from Callum Vidler and Tom Straker was too hot for them to handle. Some of the Indian batsmen who made good knocks in the previous matches looked helpless against Mahli Beardman. And this time the Indians made proper preparations. First they had participated in the 2023 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, and then before the world cup they scheduled a tri-series between the U19 sides from Afghanistan and South Africa. |

I don't want the 2026 world cup to be the worst year in Messi's career. I mean Messi has got everything in football. There is nothing else he pursues in football. Messi has become a legend and his rivalry with Ronaldo has been recorded in history. I don't have a problem if Messi is still called up for the 2026 world cup because we know Messi will really motivate young Argentine players. I just hope people don't have high expectations for Messi. And the coach also didn't put much pressure on Messi at the 2026 World Cup.

What a comeback for South Africa after only able to score 242 runs in the first innings. They got the Kiwis all out for 211 runs which means they are still trailing by 31 runs. The wicket in this test favored the bowler whereas in the first test, it was batters paradise. This test match is going to be entertaining as tomorrow the South Africans will come to bat and how many runs they can put on board will decide who will win the game. The wicket would be helping the Kiwis and it won't be easy for the batters to get 200 or more runs on the scoreboard.
Kiwis were in a quite comfortable position at 145/3 before their middle order collapsed. Tshepo Moreki started the slide when he nabbed Rachin Ravindra. Then Dane Paterson and Dane Piedt did the rest. If not for the crucial knock from Neil Wagner, Kiwis would have been in great trouble by now. He took them from 183/9 to 211. William O’Rourke also played his part by surviving for 20 balls. I would say that the Proteas have a psychological upper hand. Now it is upto Neil Brand and David Bedingham to get them to a good total in the second innings. |
