I didnt bother with Lisk,DAO etc but I had some coinousd for a long time and when you look at the devs other projects waves has a good chance of acheiving its goals like attracting financial institutions to work on open blockchains and also implementing some form of decentralised KYC etc but this time he will have proper funding and btw he is also an expert at forex bot tech so thats all plus plus too.looks like a good slow and steady project but the pump dump stuff in some comments are really just distractions from the mundane I think.

Yes but if our dev gets drunk some day and pumps waves when he is bored he can do it with 15m and not 2btc and we could end up looking for that yuri gargarin guy to come and dig our heads and asses out of the moon.

Waves team do not recommend to effect any buy/sale operations with Waves coins until the main network is launched to the full extent, and coins have become withdrawable from the personal account.

Blockchain platform Waves has issued a statement to warn users about suspicious operations with Waves tokens at cryptocurrency exchange Yobit.

Pre-sale of Waves tokens was finished on Wednesday, June 1. Even though the coins cannot be withdrawn from a personal account as yet, Yobit mysteriously added a WAVES/BTC pair.

The statement posted in the project’s official blog reads:

    “We have no evidence that the exchange’s administration took any part in Waves’ crowdsale, nor that it has any amount of WAVES coins. Moreover, Waves’ team attempted to contact Yobit’s administration to no avail”.

The project notes that, as Waves tokens cannot be withdrawn from a personal account at the ICO website, they most certainly cannot be deposited at the exchange.

    “In fact, Yobit sells some liability to provide Waves’ tokens to users in the future,” the statement adds.



Waves team also noted that the price of 1 Waves token at Yobit significantly exceeds its current market price, which stands at 0.027 BTC (around $14) at the moment of publication.

Notably, similar situation has already occurred to other projects that had recently held an ICO, like Lisk.

    “We do not recommend to effect any buy/sale operations with Waves coins until the main network is launched to the full extent, and coins have become withdrawable from the personal account,” Waves’ statement reads.

Yobit are more than likely after buying some waves through the ICO and are selling them as "IOU's" on their exchange at an inflated price to any fool who will buy them.They don't have a full node hence the ability to have any waves tokens deposited onto their exchange yet anyway so they are just trading on promises.NOBODY can transfer waves tokens to yobit either because of this so anyone thinking they will be able to withdraw ICO tokens and send them to yobit for a quick buck are mistaken.
