I got a notification that a new Waves Lite Client version is available.
I am asking is this the correct way to update the client? I used a test account with a 0 balance to play around before doing my
main (real) account.
1. Record your SEED and username and password and I recorded my address to confirm it after the update.
2. Remove WAVES LITE CLIENT from Chrome
3. Re-install/Add WAVES LITE CLIENT from the Chrome Web Store
4. Open WAVES LITE CLIENT
5. Click on IMPORT ACCOUNT
6. Paste your SEED into the wallet seed box
7. Click "generate address from seed" (my test address shows up! yay!)
8. Now put in your username and password then repeat password
9. click Register
I am logged into my test account now and it seems my WAVES LITE CLIENT is indeed updated by the version number i see,
but I don't want to try it on my real account until someone confirms I am doing this right. My main account is on my desktop
pc, and my test account is on my laptop.

well i just saved my seed. deleted app from chrome brower. installed the new one.. pressed import account- then entered my saved seed. underright it with new password (you can use your old one). and that's it.. all worked just fine. on my chrome its automaticly self-updating. you click the dev mode too. than its fine. good luck |

Hi, I requested move my waves from ICO to like chrome client almost 2 days ago, still have nothing.
It is semi-automatic process. When Waves team will start next stage of the withdrawal process, you will get your Waves. Some of the participants made a mistake when entering addresses. The fud force is so strong here  the fud is always a strong force. the keypoint on ICOs is not sell your stash under your personal value. Therefor i am setting mine and what ever happens, I am just waiting some days and get it. selling and buying cheap back is never realistic and you hunt a ghost losing. but some go the extra mile, some with profit some with loses. |

You may keep your coins in the ICO wallet, that is completely fine. Right now the Chrome Extension works the best but there are other alternatives if you run the local html-files on your secure home laptop/PC. Chrome extensions can be run on Firefox. the devs intention is running the platform in an web explorer and not a software you have to install or care about, so you can start it frome anywhere. thats the big + |

To those concerned about dumps etc. In life if you have lots of money you will make much more and if you have little money you will either lose it or make just a little.
People with little money that are desperately looking for cash will sell quickly because they have to and that is fine and nothing wrong with it. They make a little profit and go on with their lives. Many people fall in this category. Then there are those with lots of money that do not need to sell. They will see the long term potential of an opportunity and hold on and buy the coins sold by the first category of people. The will reap the long term profits and become many fold richer which is also fine. In order to go from category 1 to category 2 you have to find a way to not have to sell quickly. Unfortunately it is not easy and most will fail to do this. Some opportunities are better than others that can bootstrap the process - spot the opportunities of which Waves is one imo, and try at least.
Once you bridge the gap you build your snowball and this is how life rolls.
Probably the best post i have ever read in the Bitcointalk forums. Look at Ethereum, thats a classic case of the above post, EVERYONE can hold coins, meaning, pretend the coins do not exsist, find other ways to get you by and in 6+months you will likely see x5 the profits you could of had. EG: you sell at 150k sats. But if you had held and waited approx 6 months the price could easily be 750k sats. So selling at 150k 1000 coins = 1.5 bitcoin selling at 750k 1000 coins = 7.5 bitcoin Then think about how much Bitcoin could be worth, many people expect a drop after the halving, i think Bitcoin can hold $1,000, due to the mass exposure it will gain and people are much more understanding and trusting than the last time it went to $1,000. I just made an account on the liteclient and added my wallet adres in the ico platform. Anyone know when the withdraw will start? Will this be on the 14th?
I have talked to the devs and some important figures that are a part of the waves team. They told me that they will start today and it will be done this weekend. On 14th June exchanges will get the code of the full node, so the coin can be traded on exchanges. Note that the withdrawals are done manually, which will take some time. Again, Great reading! I believe this will be a great launch and i'm just so curious because I received a lot of suspicion due to the launch of LISK and especially the FAIL launch of Voxelus. its amazing, because everything is happening in time, according to the time road map. this project will be driven by success! |

IMHO lots of people are gonna walk away with money on the table. I'm guessing less than 100k sats it will be such big dumpers , coin will be less than ico price for sure! Yes. There is actually more intresting icos to invest so people will dump even with 2x profit to cash out Like what? doesn't seems to be anything i'd invest in decent ammount... just for participation, maybe 1-2 btc no more... Some people think Rise is interesting  Well, it is. All projects are intresting at the moment more or less in long term. I dont say that waves are not worth investing in or im not intrested in that. but im not expecting fast profit because it can hurr and actually slow steady natural grow is much better than fast pump and dump. For example Eth is still intresting and propably still worth investing into. there were always alot of coins around. waves is a one time chance. you can easily make more profit as selling at the release date, when there will be a high sell pressure. holding it 2 weeks will make a big difference in your pocket as taking fast profits. with lisk was the same |

Got my signature bounty! Excited to see Waves succeed! I hope they won't dump signature WAVES so hard. In a second -positive- scenario, dumped coins will be bought by big whales and price won't be effected. of course they will be dumped hard. I am sure we are going to see ICO prices again. they will get their free coins and they will not be able to hold them for one week to make two times bigger amount of money. For me its a good way to get more cheap coins. FUD is a very strong power! |

People are all getting crazy here... i will only get crazy if we start trading and if we are higher. 29000 BTC in ICO is a big amount of money and the fact that there was 9000 BTC added in the last couple of hours is something that really hurts a lot of investors. So lets wait to be crazy and see what waves will do on the marketplace.
