481  Other / Meta / Re: To login I had to go thru over 50 captcha is this normal? on: December 22, 2023, 07:05:58 PM
To login I had to go thru over 50 captcha is this normal if you have a clean ip (not blacklisted)?
it's not normal... AFAIK, it's not even about your IP and stuff... It could possibly be a glitch for everytime it tries to display the images on the captcha.. it happened to be and I know how fraustrating it can be.
Quote
Is this normal if your using tor browser?
I think sometimes, your browser plays a major role on that too. you shouldn't be having no problems if you're actually browsing on Tors.. I remember all I just had to do was switch my browser and it worked..
off topic; wait... You back? I seriously had to rush down to your profile to look up... I hope you get over your challenges...it ain't over yet.

482  Other / Meta / Re: 2FA added on: December 22, 2023, 06:33:33 PM
Hopefully, the number of alts might drop if/when 2FA becomes mandatory. (And new users should have to employ 2FA automatically)

Can we have a shield to indicate we have 2FA enabled, please?
Kudos.
okay... I've been wondering how that would reduce the number of Alts? Hope I understood you clearly?... My bad, I haven't checked through the Google Authenticator to see how it works...
Could you explain how mandatory 2FA leads to less alts? After all, it's app-based 2FA.
that's exactly how confused I became when I first read his statement... Maybe timelord thinks the Authenticator could detect IPs to some point?
No, you will not receive a code in the mail. It has nothing to do with mail at all. To use 2FA you need to install the Google Authenticator application, scan the QR code that is present in your profile with the help of this application and when logging in to the forum enter the numbers that this application gives you.
Xal, is it safe to assume that this authentication process cannot be made to synchronize with just one device?.. cus scanning out the code on the app would definitely need two devices..

483  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do NOT overpay your transaction fees. on: December 21, 2023, 04:49:54 PM
It's pretty disappointing that some people don't understand how BTC works, I will show you a great example of how someone could lose a lot of money just because they don't understand the basics of the asset they invest in.
Anybody could fall a victim... It happened to me and I made an extensive thread in the T/C board about it.. I made a broadcast on a transaction from T/W to an exchange and it got stucked on the way. The big problem was that T/W doesn't have an option to bump a txn fees or cancel a transaction, talk more of having a supporting option to run RBF or CPFP .. i actually broadcasted the transaction way below the mempool's  minimum fees at the time.. about 15sats/vbyte.

my advice to every newbie in the system with similar issues is to either run an RBF like Mikey said; most importantly, use supportive wallets... Electrum, blue wallet etc would do Alot of help too.

484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 21, 2023, 04:08:35 PM
I see idleness as the easiest ways to get an addiction..an idle mind would always think of varieties of things to get entertained with ... I'm saying this from experience as there was a certain time I never had a job, so I decided to stay put and cast my nets on the surface of the waters...I was lucky afterwards but althrough the period of my idleness, I began getting attached to so many things; one of the things were my phone and the house chores... I almost had migraine from the noises and constant disturbance from kids around the neighborhood.

From that little experience,I can safely say that the possibilities of getting addicted due to idleness and lonlines is alarming.

Thanks to everyone who answered. I don't intend to buy any account. I'll keep asking whatever I want. And I'm newer to this than I was to s** at 16.
Nobody started off with the suspicions... You created an avenue for that and I can also add to that tune if I feel your reasons for asking is just as unethical as the question itself... Cus why would you wanna KNOW HOW MUCH AN ACCOUNT IS SOLD FOR?? Did anyone tell you they've been selling accounts and that they needed validations from you? C'monnn!! What's the resentment all about? You caused it...

Be mindful! The forum maintains anonymity and that  doesn't give people free role on knowing others personally; so people would rather prefer basing off Thier suspicions and assertions on the responses you make.....again, be mindful.

486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 21, 2023, 01:22:50 PM
Don't be deceived, not every gamblers who actually claims that they won really won.
Some falsefully speculates that they won just because they want to pave an ease to those who has been advising them to quit or limits gambling simply because the gambler has been unlucky to win instead he keep betting over and over without a good bankroll management in their gambling carriers.
I have always thought of this before  now honestly... It's dawn on me but I don't think I'm entitled to knowing every means, motivation or allegations surrounding the behavior of gamblers and how pretentious they can be...This is a different story.

I understand that most of them could go as far as posting with other people's winning tickets just to make people feel they've been running some casinos dry; the least knowledge I had back then was that anyone could possibly edit receiving slips and pose off with them, making claims with it.

487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I learnt from a crackhead about gambling on: December 21, 2023, 01:08:14 PM
Between drugs and gambling, which one do you think is more addicting than the other? I have a good reason for asking this question, because there is something I saw not too long and I am doubting if anyone have seen the same thing, I am from a place where crack heads ( drugs addicts ) and also gambling addicts are all around, here is what I've seen.
I don't think it's actually a good comparison though.. there are more similarities than differences IMHo; peeps that are into drugs don't even have that time to invest in anything else rather than drugs... They always want to feel the intensity of every stimulant, without having any expectations moneywise... But gambling isn't the same. The expectations are usually high and everytime they wager again, it's always because they feel there's an opportunity to win... I seen so many saying y'all wager just for fun; but I bet most peeps with this mindset also have some keen interest on hitting a jackpot sooner or later.

Does any of feel behavioral change in you based on the win/loss in gambling. Myself had experienced it, and personally I used to be happy and I used to be polite with my family members and kid whenever I am on profit. On the day of losing it changes exactly in the opposite way, even for simple things I get much anger.
uhmm,.. to start with, it looks to me like you don't speak English originally; like you use Google translate for your post.. if I'm wrong, then that'll just be inches away from the truth.. well, I'm not saying it's bad not to be fluent on your English, but just that the translator gives a different interpretation - sometimes, not with the right words - as to what you originally posted.

I don't know why anyone would decide to transfer their fraustrations on a child that knows nothing about your interest in gambling and why you'd even decide to gamble already ... Try not to hurt another person with your decisions next time.

I don't know why someone would see an inscription like that on a casino and would still decide to abide by it.... I don't even think it'll be advisable to read it twice assuming it was made as a review post either; gambling is pretty easy to avoid but some gullible ones that claim to be wiser would always wanna find a way to improvise, thinking it'll be for Thier betterment at the end.
This is clearly motivating addiction most especially to those begginer gamblers who are not totally exposed to the gambling world.
Can I assume this to be a motivation?..  if anyone can easily be enticed by this write up, the person would believe any lie at all... Who in their right senses would wager and see Thier wins, just to wager again with every bit of cash they won?

I was recently arguing with someone whom stated that MJ is a gambling addict, and I pushed back.  I think we could probably all agree that being addicted to anything is never good, no matter what it is.  Michael is famous for being a big gambler.
If Micheal Jordan is a gambler, does it guarantee he's an addict?? I think that's what your topic would have been rather than this...

That aside; I think he's been gambling for a long time now and his varieties has been a spacious one... So it's safe to say he's about attached...okay; would you say Drake is an addict? Yes!! Cus why? He's been wagering lavishly and no matter how many times he's lost, nothing really changes.. I see an addict as a person that has wagered to a point of uncontrollable stake and speculations. ... They'd rather stake on an unsure odd than not.

Let's start with the simple choice: Do you consider yourself to have a gambling problem affecting your happiness, security, relationships, finances, etc? (Yes or No)
why would anyone have an addiction that controls Thier emotions, relationships, happiness and security?.. is that even worth having?? If all I call possibly gain as a negative impact of gambling is everything you mentioned, which would definitely make my life useless as a growing young man (assuming I'm a man), what's the point?.. running my relationships and all of that? You see why I tell y'all that stuffs like getting an addiction on a particular money heist program isn't the best?

I'm never comfortable with an attitude that would rather spoil my relationships and ruin my happiness...I seen so many dubious habits being dropped for this same reason.

No idea if that's the same of what I do like having my own time freely, I log off any time I want and I log in any time that I want to.
this is exactly what most gamblers do... I would even go as far as saying that the ones that Will always claim to induce Thier strategies and discipline atimes don't even remember these rules when they're out there.

I think it's part of discipline of every gambler's end too; cus how would you wager all day and call it fun? It's definitely gonna make you develop mental stress and that's you getting fucked up at the end ... Even gamers would sometimes rest from excessive excitement/pleasure.

493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling ever whispered you with different strategic prediction measures? on: December 19, 2023, 09:54:34 PM
Since gambling is most based on luck, who else has ever wanted to set your eyes close while you hits the slot or taking your predictions with the believe that.... "Your eye sight has failed you in number of times at when believing that taking your time and plays according to your heart desired based on sights satisfactories was to be the best for you"
Then probably sometimes you want to try a new trick by closing your eyes while picking your predictions or hitting the slots.
nhhh, I'll say - a couple of times though... It's happened but in a local gambling between folks in my hood way back. It was dice and he asked me to roll the last time, which was like the final play for him to end the game... Guess what? It came!! 6:6 and the opponent was so fraustrated...lol

I think anyone that chooses to close his eyes on a game has solely agreed that the game is totally based on how much luck he has, not knowledge and skills..

494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risk management and responsible gaming on: December 18, 2023, 09:59:40 PM
Governments and several organisations work to encourage responsible gaming. This involves establishing betting restrictions, offering support to those who think they have a gambling problem, and participating in self-exclusion programmes.
so your whole point is that the governs are creating pathways to eliminate gambling addiction? Cus this looks like a Summary to me... But if what you said is true, what do you think is the best way to achieve that? Isn't it by curbing or eliminating the cause of the addiction itself - which is gambling itself? They wouldn't wanna stop casinos totally since they're getting cuts yearly, monthly or daily from it...

I believe it's dawn on every gambler who's planning on either being successful or not being addicted at the end.

It's easy for a person to get addicted to online or real-life casinos - the reasons might majorly be the varieties of games in this casinos.. I find it hard to believe that peeps are addicted to Virtual games - why? Cus why should you? Imagine wagering thousands and thousands and nothing shows up, and you keep wagering? What's the point of speculating when you don't even know the capabilities of each team, club or villain? So the striving and everything just to get back what you've lost already could trigger an addiction faster than anything else... I dunno if you get my point?

I don't even consider the other form as a solid gambling... Since it's between folks, it remains a joke.

I want to play online casino which has the following criteria,
Uhmm.. I just wished a casino could decide to maintain their standard all through - even when they begin to gain popularity -- but that's not the case most times.. say - 89% of casinos would begin to adjust just to make more than the usual... They may not be bonuses for everything like everyother regular casino...

secondly, you won't wanna name any new casino with all this features as the best - since they sometimes do all this to gain popularity and traffic,.. then maybe govt's endorsement. All in saying is that the most trusted platforms in the system don't even have most of this bonuses, which is exactly what you want...

You should try a local community or church.    You haven't been a positive influence here, so you shouldn't expect help from HODLers.
Okay, I actually like the first approach you gave him on this.
Hmm....You donated to OP and you're both in the same sig campaign but your registration dates are a ways apart.  I'm inclined to think this is some shilling, but I have no evidence.
Old man, you don't need any evidence to ascertain - based on your own prejudice - what corny sense he's tryna play on everyone... He's tryna make the whole scenerio look real by using another account to donate? Or maybe liaising with his close pal to pull off the stunt... It's damn weird!
Okay... y'all take a look at this ... Is it also a coincidence? And also the fact that you applied for a loan too?.. look, your intensions aren't clear at all and every sane person knows that.. Lemme keep it real with you..
I am not doubting the fact that your mum's sick; but for the fact that you used one of your supposed alt to run a kinda attestation on your behalf, then that's enough to say this whole thing is damn suspicious!!
499  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quickest way to earn merit? on: December 15, 2023, 08:55:49 PM
I'm new here. What's all about this merit count? How is it earned? I'm assuming it's linked to the quality/usefulness of your posts/replies? Their originality maybe? What are usually the subjects you'd get the more merit for posting about?
Post like this won't even guarantee you on having any single merits... If you wanna argue, how many merits were you given on this? Lol. Just be yourself and avoid unnecessary repetition - everyone wants to read something more refreshing and informative in here.. secondly, you need to know that you're not entitled to receiving any merits; it all depends on the quality and time you spend on improvising your posting pattern, and on yourself too...

don't do too much; see yourself in the process of learning and subdue yourself to the process already... You'll start receiving merits without even expecting them..

How will you ensure that these 6 people are not pre-determined? If the services that provide these prizes do not give random things, such as the last 4 digits in hash block number XXX or any open source method, it can be confirmed that they are random then I don't think there is a way to know whether there are actually prizes or for marketing only.
exactly!.. he done assuming everybody on it would atleast have a chance - let's say the slots were like 20k people. It looks like a promotional offer to me.. (well, Binance's rich enough to donate that away for the xmas without a doubt)..

apart from casinos and Thier weird bonuses this Xmas, I don't really know about centralized exchanges that are willing to offer an easy-peasy..
Edit: remitano has been advertising several bonuses and Xmas claims though.. I don't really know their Ts/Cs.. that's left for you to figure out.
