The injury has returned and now it has hit De Bruyne again. Reportedly De Bruyne is out of the Belgian squad list and with this Belgium has lost its midfield sector without De Bruyne. On the other hand, this is also a loss for Manchester City after they recently experienced big changes since De Bruyne's arrival. I mean, Manchester City really needs him as a game creator on the field and with a minor groin injury it is likely that he will miss several matches.

It is very unfortunate when the team and also the national team need his services to strengthen the game but he is injured again and I think Pep Guardiola must give his full attention to this key player. Erling Haaland will also experience some problems in scoring goals because he always relies on assists from De Bruyne. But I hope that future replacements like Phil Foden or Julian Alvarez can still have a big impact on Manchester City.

Huge blow for Belgium National Football Squad, Manchester City in the Premier League Competition and also the Champions League Competition.
I've said this before, it's high time they cash big on the magical midfielder, him absent means no productivity and delivery for Pep Guardiola's side and same for Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland for they will definitely struggle to score goals same way it happened for them earlier this season. Arsenal at least will no longer plan for Kevin De Bruyne ahead of the fixture they'd be having against defending Champions Manchester City.

The Saudi's are so eager to see him signed up but no concrete moves have been made already. I hope to see them take a bold step to get him. He will also not be available as they go on to play Real Madrid in the Champions League Competition.
It's very sad news to me that such a magical player would be on the sidelines continuously due to injuries, it's because of players him we the neutral fan go to the stadium just for us to see some of his magical passes, and his absence is always felt in this Manchester City side, and I am quite sure that arsenal will be licking their mouth in excitement for his absence in their upcoming premier league encounter at the Etihad, but as for that tie, it's really going to be a fascinating encounter between the two, it's an open tie and it can go either sides.
De Bruyne has been sidelined with injury problems for a long time and we felt his absence very well during the time he was out. Since De Bruyne's return from injury, however, Manchester City have seemed re-energized and every Manchester City player seems more confident. De Bruyne is one of Manchester City's most reliable attacking midfielders, whose magical passes many players rely on to score goals and play well. It will definitely be bad news for Manchester City if this player is sidelined again due to injury problems. Manchester City have a tough match ahead against Real Madrid. Besides, they are in a good position in the English Premier League now, if they do not get the services of this player for a long time, they may drop a few steps in the points table.
I do feel sorry for him whenever the thought of how severally injuries has made him missed a couple games this season and how he has to battle with picking and keeping back to form after each return which is in extension putting the future of his career at risk if he would be able to stay for a long career in football in the likes of Pepe (Porto) age 41  and Cr7 age 39 yet still in active football. And here's a young man of age 32 but always prone to injury after another or perhaps it could be as a result of too much work load expected on him (from both fans and coach) to always deliver in the midfield position whenever he's available.

It is with no doubt that his absence will have a huge effect on Manchester City's team when they meet the Spanish side Real Madrid in the champions league and also in the EPL but Gardiola has always been that exceptional coach who will always find a way out to keep his team still in force and in winning ways while they awaiting for De Bruyne's return.
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paper Betting- Would You Consider it if you Were to Start Sports betting Again on: March 16, 2024, 10:41:06 AM
It is an alternative to which those who do not have experience and would like more than to earn money to be entertained should go, in my case I would not do it, I can assume at sports betting losses without problems.

Not just you mate, many other gamblers won't do it and it could be considered to be a waste of time in doing that when the game gambling is not about how much time you take to learn about it that determines how often or consistently your winnings will be coming in but basically  determined by chance if you will win or lose.

Furthermore, sports betting shouldn't be that had for a pure beginning in as much as he has some ideas about the team's and the rules of play in that particular sport he's interested in making his predictions on for a bet. Football for instance, as a football fan you don't need be told a team like Manchester City is with high chances of winning a team like Aston Villa in a match, it's just for you to go ahead with a straight win for Man. City and that's how it begins down to other gambling options as you proceed. Right?
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Online Casinos Publish Their Bankroll? Your Thoughts? on: March 16, 2024, 10:26:41 AM
Big or small bankrolls I think all of that doesn't really matter with casino's reputation being put in check. And could only create some kind of intimidation among casinos between those of small bankrolls and those of large amount of bankroll.

On the other hand, some dubious unsuspecting casino's (mostly new ones that are just emerging) could use their size of bankroll to cover for being able to potentially keep a good reputation by coming into the market with a heavy bankroll that may drive in large attraction just to end up scamming the unsuspecting users.

So this is what I think about making bankrolls public by casinos, it should be at the casino's discretion and not under any enforcement laws that generally demands of it in order to avoid the above.

485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 15, 2024, 01:39:54 PM
Arsenal main focus at the moment is to improve their game, indeed so far Arsenal performance in the league has been very good and managed to score many goals, but for the Champions League it seems that they must be able to improve their mentality and performances to be even better because the competition in the Champions League is tighter, currently the Champions League League leaves a strong and experienced team,  So Arteta should have used the experience against Porto as a lesson, I think Porto was a slightly weak team in the last 16 yesterday but Arsenal had to work hard enough to beat him and get here, and now they are awaited by a team that is maybe 3 times stronger than Porto.

At the moment Arsenal should not talk about trophies or even qualify for the final, because indeed their position is a little difficult and better for Arsenal to continue to focus on improving their performance ahead of the quarter-final match later, because surely Arsenal will also not be able to avoid big teams like Manchester City and Madrid in the Champions League in drawing later.
all of this depends on Arteta as the coach who manages Arsenal to be able to maintain the physical and fitness of the players and as long as Arteta can rotate players very wisely, Arsenal will certainly be a little more likely to continue to advance to the final round, but I'm not sure.
In this quarter final round, all the teams that qualified were big teams with very good quality performance and quite good experience, but even so, Arsenal still had the opportunity to get a ticket to the final round even though they had to play a difficult match.
and on the one hand it is true what you say that all of this will also depend on the draw of the opponents in this quarter final round because if they face a team of higher quality I am sure Arsenal will fail in the quarter finals this time.

Arsenal didn't play badly against Porto, it's just that they looked quite nervous. Maybe between the Champions League and the Premier League, there is a different pressure and because of this, what I see is that Arsenal cannot play freely, and they are quite burdened to chase a 1 goal deficit. Luckily they were able to win through penalties, but if they continue to play the same way in the quarter-finals later, I think it will be quite difficult for Arsenal to beat Bayern Munich. They don't just have to improve their performance in the Champions League but they also should have a strong mentality when playing in an important match that has a lot of pressure.

It's not a surprise to me that Arsenal can't keep  up to it high level of performance in the champions league, because the championships league have it own added pressure, and secondly, this arsenal team lack experience especially in the champions league, so it's quite normal that they weren't able to dominate fc Porto completely, especially in the second leg.

Another thing about this arsenal team is that, they aren't physical enough in that encounter between Porto, they really struggled in that aspect, congratulations anyway to them for progressing via penalties, but I think that lack of experience will cost them in this season's champions League as they face Bayern Munich in the next round.
486  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: If you can't Invest in Bitcoin, buy assets on: March 15, 2024, 06:29:38 AM
If you're a good business person that knows how to read the times and study the market, there is so much you can make out of this consistent increase in the price of major goods in this country
Does that mean, that we should be happy when the price of things constantly increase in the market? For all I know, what ever goods you are selling or what ever business you are into, an increase in price in the general market will also make you spend more than you used to while purchasing your goods.  Most time, the problem of our country is we the people. Just last 2weeks here, the price of a water bag went up to 500naira. Traders saw this as a way of making profits for them self. Selling one sachet for 50 naira(here in my area). This I think it's unfair because if you are to buy from factory as a trader fr maybe 400 or 350 then you are selling a sachet for 50naira that means you mean to make profit of 500 back that's over gain and not right. We shouldn't see the condition of the country as a means to be smart as we will all suffer the consequences. If you notice in This country, what goes up doesn't come down.
The economic hardship in the country we have times without number blamed it on the politicians that are in charge of the allocation of resources (don't get me wrong about what I want to say, am no way exonerating them either on this) but imagine where all the marketers/businesses men/women have now without conscience are poised to make  an extra 3 times gain of whatever item they are selling out there

and to them they fill it's an opportunity to make profit thereby causing an artificial economic hardship that could be avoided if all decides to make at least a 10-15% gain in whatever items they are selling. But because the institutions responsible for price control has failed in it's duties the market men and women has jump on the crude opportunity to pillage the people forgotten that what goes around comes around.

Days ago, a fellow Nigeria was complaining on X about his ordeal with a sachet water seller that took the opportunity of his car breaking down along the Lagos mainland bridge due to overheating, and he called on the sachet water seller to  get him about 10 sachet of water thereabout so he could pour into his radiator (engine cooling)  the young lad sold each sachet for #50 which was not supposed to be so but the car owner had no option but to buy at that price due to his state at the moment (and this is same in all other commodities). Now the young lad will go home feeling he had made a profitable business for the day but that's bad and exploitative business.

This is exactly the nature of things now in the country,  the prices of alot of goods and services are outrageously inflated by the business men and women when the actual price has gone anywhere near what they are selling at, and we all keep blaming the government when we are our problem in the first place. This is all greed. On the other hand I blame the government because they are failing on their mandate to judiciously enforce the legitimate coercive use of force through it's appropriate price regulatory agency in all of these happenings.

I don't know or understand anymore where we're going again. Only time will tell.

488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 14, 2024, 06:10:56 AM
To be sincere I can't do no such thing with my money all in the name of the love of my football club. I can always give that moral support even when it's obvious they are going to lose the game but it won't go beyond moral to financial in my gambling for or against them.

Yes, we can support them even if we know that their chances are slim against a very good team. But to bet our money, just for the sake of it, and because it is our favorite ball club, is completely wrong for a avid fan of the sports.

Loving my favourite team so much would either mean I don't bet against them at all, instead of me betting in their favour in game's I know they are going to lose. The whole idea is that it's going to be a wasteful of funds and no one that has value for money will be comfortable wasting it knowingly.

Or maybe yet, just don't bet on the game. Just watch it and see how our team will do against their opponents. If they lose, then we go home and suckered it like a man and no regrets or anything. And just look for the next match that we might bet on them.
I read some preceding comments from other members and I just smiled because I can perceive that some of them are just trying to be economical with the truth of the matter when they argue that they will at all times bet in favour of their team even when the team has no chance of winning the game, and this is very misleading to even think about it.

Imagine me feeling sad for losing my money and also bearing a loss from my favourite loving team. Oh man, it's best I avoid the avoidable by just watching the game and exchanging the banters from opponent fans as a show of love for my team than including money to it.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer betting your own predictions or from prediction site on: March 14, 2024, 05:32:15 AM
There are gamblers who have great instincts and can forecast games that may end up winning the bet. But they are scared that they may lose. They dont trust their own betting predictions so they would rather go to a gambling prediction site to some daily betting tips.

So i want to know as a gambler that you are, do you feel following those betting predictions from those sites would favour us in gambling more than our own predictions? For me i trust my predictions and i have won more when i predict for myself than letting someone predict for me.

There is no better prediction than your own prediction, if the prediction turns out to be correct then you have the right analysis and even if it goes to lose, you can learn a lot from your mistakes. When I first started betting on football, I preferred predictions from a site, this was because of my limitations in terms of analysis. But for now, I won't even believe a bit of what the prediction provider sites say, because they usually predict based on how big or small the team is, even though in football betting it's not just that, there are other factors that influence it.
People that depends on predictions from prediction sites are usually those with limited knowledge about the sport they show interest in betting on and I have witnessed a lot of gamblers attest to this and with time they get broad insight about the sport and start doing the predictions gradually on their own with a few additions from prediction sites.

What makes some group of gamblers to have much confidence on prediction sites games  over theirs is due to the common believe that those games from prediction sites are been done by professionals in the industry but the truth is that gambling been a game of chance, no prediction is 100% accurate except it's a fixed match which is also very rare though.

I mainly stick to my own predictions more often than predictions sites, that's because I believe in my ability to do a better judgement on it and I have had more wins with my own predictions than I have had with those of prediction sites. There are times I had to merge my predictions with those of prediction sites and it happens that it's the prediction sites games that usually kills my bet. Which is why I don't take prediction sites games  serious than I do with those games I predict myself.

491  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: A Good Government Brings Economic Growth on: March 14, 2024, 04:47:53 AM
Something about economic growth is that every government who want to drive the growth of it's economy to be competitive must first and foremost create an enabling environment that is insecurity free and conducive for both local and foreign investment to thrive. The insecurities and the economic downturn the Nigeria economy is facing today is as a result of the lack of the deliverables of social welfares and amenities, as it has always been so much promises with nothing to show off, at different levels of government it has always been more of politics than good governance  and over the years it has constantly reverberate negatively on the country's economy.

I think if in every general elections we are a concerned citizens can be able to deliver on our mandate to vote in good leadership's in all level's of the government no matter how little the number might be in each election's we can gradually have the good taking over the corrupt politicians which will immensely affect our economic growth based on their good leadership policies and programmes just as we can see in some of the states like Abia, Rivers, and the Niger Op made mentioned of.

If you take everything you see or watch on social media seriously you will be nurturing an unsatisfactory feeling  towards the results of all your endeavors in life, and this is just one of those social media videos gamblers shouldn't take serious because it can make you to start questioning your luck in life going by all the years you would have been gambling and had not secured a life changing win.

Why do they have to film this particular gambler at this point and what are the proves that he had to bet all his entire life savings for a single spin, or was that what the makers of the story want us the viewers to know just to catch public attention.

Well they asked him to do all 4 KYC levels, maybe he already did 1 and 2 in the past. I also went up to platinum 3 with many withdrawals without doing any KYC. Just then I did 1 and 2 on my own, without being asked.
Like how do some of you guys get so comfortable with that risk of using online casino platforms without being completely done with kyc and verification of account. Am just in awe where some of you gets such comfort from because am that kind of person that won't agree to deposit a dime in any of my accounts that requires kyc verification not until it's completely done to avoid the risk of kyc hassles after a deposit would have been made.

The tendency is that it's easier and faster without huddles to run kyc in an account that hasn't before now received deposit than with an account which deposits has been made and used. That's where the platforms get damn serious with you and your documents.

Anyway, just like the hard to understand post OP wrote the situation seems quite messy and hard to resolve. Level 4 (source of income) is a quite ridiculous KYC requirement. They can pretty much reject anything if they feel like it.
Even if I were to be Stakes I will out of suspicions reject the statements/documents Op is providing. For you to get to a VIP level 4 it's believed you are a working class individual and your source majorly to the crediting of your gambling account should have come from your means of income (job or business), but rather presenting a pay slip donation letter from your mother doesn't prove convincing enough at the level of kyc verification op has gotten to. In my opinion, I'll advise he go get a court stamp if he can as requested by support system and see where that gets him. I understand his situation is frustrating but he should be modest in attempt to get access to his funds, these processes can be so rigid at times.
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Marketing Strategies for New Casinos? on: March 13, 2024, 06:52:20 AM
Am not sure there is a best strategy it is left for the casino owners to look at the size of their wallet and through it know which of the strategies amongst all that have been suggested above by different forum members.

You may say signature campaign and the use of streamers are the best but the question is does your budget size has the capacity to maximize such strategy for a longer-term. Because so far as signature campaigns are concern you don't run a signature campaign in just within a few weeks and expect to get massive results. No, it doesn't work that way.

So therefore, IMO, I think since we are talking about a new casino that's checking for avenue for growth, the best thing to do is to choose a marketing strategy based on the size of their budget that could keep them for long under the marketing strategy and not to choose a strategy that demands bulk expenses at a go. This has been one of the mistakes of some new casino's that we are no more seeing or hearing about  today.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A call to self-examining our gambling habit. on: March 12, 2024, 08:03:44 PM
As gambler when last did you self-examine your gambling habit to create that awareness based on how you are gambling in order for you to be quite sure if you're within a considerable or an acceptable range of a gambling habit that is void of addiction or the tendencies of gambling addiction.

I think if gamblers could take certain step in setting up regular self examining question towards themself it will be helpful to them in their gambling life not to ignorantly be harbouring a gambling addiction or compulsive gambling lifestyle. Quite a number of gamblers are nursing an addictive gambling habit without knowing and for them their gambling life is normal but if they should  genuinely scrutinize or put their habit to test it is possible they could find varied errors to correct and be right on track again.

Don't you think so?
Outside self-examination I think there should be other ways of examining your gambling habit either by meeting a therapist and telling the therapist you're habitual gambling lifestyle so he or she can tell you if you've reached your limit or not, because if you leave it to yourself you will always want to tell yourself that you haven't gotten to your limit. I believe self-examination can be deceiving in most times, because most people don't like to tell themselves the truth.

Moreover as human beings we have our instincts that will normally tell us if we've been excessive with something or not, and most times people who become to additive with gambling only realise their bad gambling harbit when they go broke. So putting your habit to test by going to a therapist to examine your gambling habit will be the best solution for me.
I also think that before a gambler could bolster muscles to go to a therapist to complain about his compulsive gambling habit he must have recognized such repugnant habits through a conscious self examination based on how in his lifestyle there could have been a deviation from how it were initially when he started gambling.

Anyone can lie to another person but same can't lie to himself, except your conscience has ceased from working properly there's no way you can lie to yourself about the truth of things as it affects you compared to what you'll chose to tell a therapist. The therapist only privy to what the gamblers allows out so it's the therapist that's rather limited in helping out because he can't help beyond what he knows.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [FUN] Casino Battle on: March 12, 2024, 11:19:22 AM
Duelbit is one cool casino casino I admire in the community as one of the interesting casinos we have here, but I'll give it to stakes this time. My reasons are factual, Starting with security, I remember sometime ago around September 2023 Stakes had a security breach  which led to the loss of about $41M, however through a proactive response it didn't take them miles they got it all fixed and all the customers fears were settled as though a single penny never left from the casino's purse, even their signature promotion campaign kept on running without a pause. Still held it's ground as one of the biggest online casinos till date. And it's based on this grounds am giving it to them and not for any other reasons.

I think that's the kind of financial security gamblers should be confident about when using any online casino in case of a major hack or a breach leading to millions of loss customers won't have to bear a loss too and the casino won't have to shut down as a result. It is noteworthy that no casino is perfectly secured from being hacked or breached, a mistake can happen at any point.

In conclusion, as for other criteria listed above I think the both casino's has it all in in their own peculiar ways.  But notwithstanding, I still love the sig I represent. Grin

It's important you know that CEX  is not a right place to hold you bitcoin, take the initiative now to move your asset to a non-custodial wallet like electrum where you will have full control and responsible for your wallet as you will be the only holder and owner of your keys. Unlike the CEX platforms you have no possession of any keys and when it's not your keys it's definitely not your asset.

Centralized exchanges are mainly good for trading after which you have to move your coins to your wallet, don't be a victim learn from FTX saga.

I think this post will be suited in Bitcoin Discussion board or Beginners and Help board and not in the gambling discussion board.

The whole outcome in your story was a fault all yours, and I will tell you why.

Firstly, you didn't participate in any lottery yet someone strange guy came up with a cooked strategy that you have won some cash 18,500 and out of greed for free money you couldn't ask him salient questions about  what really led to your winning a lottery money when you never participated in any.

Secondly, as an entrepreneur you are expected to be smarter than this never to panic or be too rushy over things of this nature, it all entails that you could easily sell out your company to fraudster if you had had one. Under Fiat OTP number could be likened to the seed phrase of your crypto non-custodial wallet, you don't for any reason let a third party has access. I tell you, the scam surge in cryptocurrency nowadays is higher than it is with fiat, so learn from your mistake so you don't repeat it with your crypto asset.

Cole Palmer — Chelsea's best signing for the 2023/2024 season. Without any doubt. His goal and assist today has played a huge role in helping win today and this also increased Chelsea's unbeaten run to 4 (in the EPL). The game was closely contested even though Newcastle was lackluster most times in the game. I don't get why teams often play deep when the game is neutral and no one leading but then get sprung into action after they concede a goal?  Newcastle came out to play after Chelsea got their second goal and it lead to a counter attack that Chelsea took advantage of through Mudryk.

Sometimes, the best defense is more offense.

Great performance for Chelsea only that am not resting on their ability to keep this performance on a consistent level. Mudryk many times has been a game changer for Chelsea and it's quite baffling why Pochi hasn't constantly made an effective utility of his talent by playing him full time, aside Cole Palmer,  Mudryk he's being one player in Chelsea I know has that hunger to hustle for goals as a forward but often times Pochi has always kept him on the bench. Substituting Sterling in that game was one best decision taken by the coach as he was just playing a single man greed football and not as a team work else Chelsea would have had more goals than 3 in that match.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS!

I want to thank all the participants and all those who voted. It may have been a small Awards, but it was done positively. I will try to do more initiatives.

I would also like to thank the sponsors BC.Game and Icarus, who helped to enrich this event. Thank you very much!

@Mia Chloe
@Amphenomenon
In the next few hours, I will send a message requesting a BTC address to send the prize.

@cygan
I ask that you contact the winners to distribute the Icarus prize.
Congratulations to all the winners of this competition, and to the organisers you guys have done a great job in the handling of the competition process from start to finish.

I strongly believe that with the awareness this first maiden competition has made there will be lot more interested participants come next year making the event much more colourful.
