483  Economy / Economics / Re: Transferring out of Bitcoin on: August 20, 2014, 12:54:43 PM
why they're accepting it:
1) They get sales they would otherwise not have because they are providing "bitcoin people" a place to spend their bitcoins.
2) On a $1000 purchase, it's cheaper to accept bitcoins than credit cards.
3) They get free exposure from people who keep citing them as an example of vendors accepting bitcoin.

+10

You are absolutely right. Dell doesn't accept bitcoin because she believes in bitcoin, because the currency brings him sales !

Isn't it because bitcoin demand has decreased ? Why a conspiracy should even exist ?

Take a look at the BSI:

I have already said why this coin lacks support. Those who took leadership if you follow their posts are more interested in a various bunch of coins. Some set up road maps and have since not been seen. Go follow Dzarmuch he is on all the other coins rallying them he can't be trusted to do anything here. He is typical, more active on NXT and Node threads than here.

Where's the road map link? let's get moving again.
And I also already have said: Get off your ass, stop demanding other people to work for you and stop this "leadership" delirium of yours. Do you know what decentralized means? We don't have a leader, not even Qora is our leader. If you want something done you're more than welcome to do it yourself. If it's something good, people will even help and support you. I know I would.
You talked about dzarmush. Do you know why you (only you) think he's our leader? Because he's doing things himself without awaiting approval of everyone else or demanding things from other people. Go do the same. This also fits to everyone else, including me. I think I could be doing more.
You're annoying and don't contribute at all to our community.

What you say is true in an open source code. In this particular coin, you have to wait for your dev to do something. Of course only technical, and only issues that cannot be solved by API. anyone can act alone on non-technical aspects.

If your code is open source, people will find a way around and fork. Just as you mentioned, only cut-and-pasters will be stopped.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Need All The Altcoins We Can Get on: August 09, 2014, 11:26:35 AM
Many of these coins are bad for the community. If lots of people get scammed this way, cryptocurrency reputation is under a big question mark. We don't want people associating cryptos with scam.

Nice job with the assets idea. Is it the first coin to support this ?

I've had the suspicion that a whale is bouncing between Cloak and DRK this past week, and possibly among some of the others, but I'm not sure if it's a bot necessarily.

Would you please explain more ?

I've been mostly involved with malware analysis / penetration testing / reverse engineering / formal security analysis in the security field. In the development field I've been coding Java/J2EE mostly for banking systems backed with Oracle. All of my jobs have been corporate ones and I'm trying to start with community services here, so mostly I will try to prove myself. Don't know what the prices are here, open to suggestions   Smiley

Hello,

I hold an MSc in Data Security and I have been a professional software developer (mostly Java/J2EE/C#) for 6 years. The whole cryptocurrency hype has attracted me and I am ready to contribute. If anyone is interested in my skills please do not hesitate to reply in this thread.

Thank you

I came to the same conclusion, seems impossible.

I think, you have to look in BTC more as a way to get out money from Iran, for student, or for all as a fast and secure way

That's right. I need to think about the ways.

Thank you for your great feedback. I'll start small and see where it goes.  Smiley

So if anything Iran fights ISIS.

To complement your post, ISIS kill Shia's, Iran is the only Shia government in the world.

Quote
The stated goals of JTJ were: (i) to force a withdrawal of coalition forces from Iraq; (ii) to topple the Iraqi interim government; (iii) to assassinate collaborators with the occupation regime; (iv) to remove the Shia population and defeat its militias because of its death-squad activities; and (v) to establish subsequently a pure Islamic state.

497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alt coin arbitrage in an exchange on: August 03, 2014, 09:51:06 AM
Hello,

Does anyone know any bots that exchange alt coins in an exchange (like MintPal or Cryptsy) ?

For example you've got 1 btc, a high trend in DRK causes the bot to exchange BTC/DRK, another trend in DOGE causes to convert to DRK/BTC -> BTC/DOGE, at the end DOGE/BTC and you've got 1.1 btc.

Seems fun  Grin

I personally think Bitcoin is a good alternative currency choice for countries with embargoes and restrictions like Iran. For example, no one in Iran can buy anything online, even a virtual service like a web host. Unlocking opportunities like this with Bitcoin for people seems the right move, as Bitcoin is advocating financial freedom and no government control over currency.
499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking to start a Bitcoin-based investment, need advice on: August 03, 2014, 08:07:16 AM
by indirectly depositing money at Iran banks you are giving the government additional funds to borrow from to finance terrorism.

Many banks in Iran are not governmental. How would they pay off people if their money is funding terrorism ?
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who buys alt-coins ? on: August 03, 2014, 07:55:53 AM
you said it beacuse it's cheap, and buying a high amount at cheap price is better than 2 darkcoin at 0.01..

So buyers that give X value are the ones hoping it's value will go up ? I don't see how that wouldn't collapse after a while. Maybe the first buyers do profit, but eventually people start to lose money.
