481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] MONERO.RS - DDoS protected - PRIVATE CPU MINER 5-20% BOOST! on: September 11, 2014, 11:58:18 AM
Coming soon - trollbox. No other pool lets miners interact and share mining tips and tricks in real time!

$ minerd-xmr  -a cryptonight -p 86676108fe902b8c76a0d9663369d0703f0c0e3ec21d1c83a669dccab60f7811  -u 47sghzufGhJJDQEbScMCwVBimTuq6L5JiRixD8VeGbpjCTA12noXmi4ZyBZLc99e66NtnKff34fHsGR oyZk3ES1s1V4QVcB                                          [2014-09-11 13:57:11] Using JSON-RPC 2.0
[2014-09-11 13:57:11] Starting Logrotation
[2014-09-11 13:57:11] 7 miner threads started, using 'cryptonight' algorithm.
[2014-09-11 13:57:12] Pool set diff to 10000
[2014-09-11 13:57:12] Stratum detected new block

Works fine.. But:

$ minerd-xmr  -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://eu.monero.rs:4444 -p 86676108fe902b8c76a0d9663369d0703f0c0e3ec21d1c83a669dccab60f7811  -u 47sghzufGhJJDQEbScMCwVBimTuq6L5JiRixD8VeGbpjCTA12noXmi4ZyBZLc99e66NtnKff34fHsGR oyZk3ES1s1V4QVcB

Happy to announce 5-20% performance increase, depending on the number of cores, out of Wolf's current public miner!

We support Wolf's work and will soon enable pool donations to Wolf for his miner development

Just wanted to confirm. It is 10-20% faster on average across some of my multi-core machines.

If U think so , please sell all XDN.Thx.

Doing just that.. Wink

Nice, looks good. Sounds like I should change some diffs, then, too .Smiley

Our Pool

Right now BBR is getting itself into a bad situation for multiple reasons.. Besides the 51% attack, a DDOS attack @ http://cncoin.farm/ and mining BBR becomes *extremely* profitable for an attacker.

New build prune ring signatures in all transactions that lay under height 70000 (new checkpoint).
When you launch new version, you could see that message(numbers would be little different):

How about transparent GZIP support in the node-cryptonote-pool? (The patches for the miners can be added afterwards)
This will compress json traffic down to almost nothing, cut down on bandwidth and speed up transactions.

Pretty pointless to sell before Boolberry will start trading at bter. It was announced in this thread that this should happen in a matter of days.
Also selling before superNET actually launches doesn't seem like a bright idea.

Please let them sell now.. I'll gladly keep buying

At this point in time (based on BTC pricing), is it more profitable to mine BBR or to mine XMR?
Unless I've worked it out incorrectly, its better to mine XMR and use that to purchase BBR.

Unless I'm doing something weird or incorrect: (Dell Server with 24 cpus .. Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2630 0 @ 2.30GHz with 15360 KB Cache)

BBR / wildkeccak miner: 804925.84 h/s (24 miner threads started, using 'wildkeccak' algorithm)
XMR / cryptonote miner: 554.39 H/s (Wolf's miner: 14 miner threads started, using 'cryptonight' algorithm)

When does it become profitable to switch to actually mining BBR? (that is my preference in the end)

Obviously, everyone should work the #s out for themselves, but I believe you're correct.

The gap between the CPU efficiency and GPU efficiency is higher for BBR than it is for XMR.  A GPU is 2x better than a CPU for XMR, but it's probably 4x better for BBR.  As a result, *in general* (except for price and diff swings), you're better off mining XMR on your CPU.  It also probably means you're better off mining BBR on your GPUs, but that depends a lot on the efficiency of the particular mining software on your particular card.

For me, I mine XMR on my CPUs (i7-4770 and similar) while mining BBR on the GPUs (mostly nvidia).

That's some useful information, thank you!
Time to put my GPU's to work on BBR.

All fair questions i suppose...

That all said, you say I declined your offer to do any real work. I already asked you some questions. Let me repeat them again:
a. What is your holding pattern in each of the assets? This will clarify how much of your one asset is owned by another asset. ie answer the ponzi query clearly. --> Or do you want me to dig up info which you should be having already?

b. Even if you are consider these linked assets as Keiretsu, how do you mitigate the single point of risk - YOU. Not only from a scam point of view but also from unforeseen events too - say an IRL issues, many of us have those.  --> This is more out of concern for you and people both. But fuck it, why have a contingency plan when you are the great jl777 --- no one should question you.

c. If your answer to above is "escrow", then who/what will be holding the "escrow". What are the terms? I have gone through the pdf and don't see the escrow terms.
It has been quite apparent from the syscoin, another IPO I bought into, that the escrow in crypto space is corrupt. slex has been changing terms for that escrow as and when he likes. worst part, his contention was wallet and blockchain, even in non-working form was enough for him to hold the coins.  --> If I remember correctly you were still looking for escrow options. Things weren't finalised before the IPO kicked off. Now can we get some clarity?

That said, stop beating around the bush about your stellar reputation and ask for things which you know cant be done by a single guy -- audit all your asset transactions. Answer the above queries and we can be done with it. If you want to scream "SMEAR! SMEAR!" then be my guest. I wont be doing this back and forth for an IPO, I am not going to buy.

Sorry if this has been explained before. If I want to use the GUI wallet can I import my command line wallet to it or do I have to send the coins to the GUI wallet?

Currently you can`t, but we are working on such a feature. Soon we will announce it.
Also we are working on lots of small features, like mentioned above.
But soon - in next 5-10 days we will announce duckNote feature, that will blow your mind. We will lift XDN to the next level D<.
Stay tuned.

Is XDN joining the SuperNET launch?  Shocked

No. features we are talking about is not related to any other project, than duckNote.
duckNote only features.
SuperNET is really really good.

Hrmph yeah.. If XDN was joining SuperNET i would throw my 15 000 hash/s behind XDN but it isn't so I have no choice but to go after XMR.
(Have you noticed how all the SuperNET related coin have SKYROCKETED in price?)
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 06, 2014, 08:17:35 PM
yes, i will have 23 bitcoins so far. what will I do with all those bitcoins?

James, are you "The Wolf of Crypto-Street"?

The first price was.  0.01000038

Stick to that

Are you sure?

Jeezus, that was quick!!!!

(Bter)

Got them just in time! Tongue
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 05, 2014, 05:09:50 PM
In other words when Unity is dispersed is it based on the number of NXT I have donated or is it based on the number of tokens I have?

Surely it will be based on the tokens that you have. New buyers might get more tokens than you though.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: September 04, 2014, 07:16:15 PM
Could someone explain this to me:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632595.msg8673348#msg8673348

duckNote is not vulnerable for double spend attack, because XDN do not have any blockchain split, but Monero has it for more than 10 hours, that is why:
Monero is still vulnerable for double spend attack!  Grin Grin Grin Grin

CZ updated the statement and acknowledged the XMR devs without any protests or reservation. This was most likely unintentional. Simple misunderstanding. The reactions of XMR devs are bit harsh IMHO....

We're just cranky because most of us haven't slept much  Cheesy

AMEN. So lets put this to bed and move on. Where to from here? XMR & BBR joining SuperNET together? Tongue

This is not fair. The hack looks serious. It has not occurred on other coin
I want to sell now before others realise the news. Many are still sleeping.
You prevent me from doing so?!!

This really did make me giggle.. Thanks..
