481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we are 24 hours after the Braintree/PayPal news.... on: September 10, 2014, 05:55:24 PM
Nothing really happened. All Paypal did is mention Bitcoin in their advertisement and we all know they did just to try to do something with todays Apple announcement. Speculators could buy some coins, but i guess, they already have them. Paypal needs to say what they wil do and when. That should have some impact on price.
Maybe paypal adopting BTC is already inside current price for speculators. Maybe they saw it long tiem ago and buy them.
482  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is stabilizing? on: September 10, 2014, 05:44:47 PM
Of course it does stabilize, but is far from the end of process.
483  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: September 10, 2014, 05:34:55 PM

484  Economy / Economics / Re: Stop selling mined coins privately on: September 10, 2014, 05:29:41 PM
It is not about equipment but electricity. Miners usually what they sell pay electricity with.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency with the best distribution? on: September 10, 2014, 02:58:43 PM
What do you think makes for a good distribution of currency? And what currencies do you think have achieved a good distribution?

I can think of two main metrics that one might measure currency distribution in: percent of total currency held by individuals, and total number of individuals who hold said currency.

Another variable is time. And the speed at which the currency is dispersed through out a population.

How important is this to you? Is it an overrated factor, or is it something people underestimate the importance of.

Best distribution would be that it all gets handed to me as cheap as possible,

488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal + Bitcoin: Welcome to the promised land! on: September 10, 2014, 12:10:12 PM
I'm starting to think that the more adoption of btc by merchants, the more it will HURT price of bitcoin.

Care to elaborate on why you think that is because I don't see how it can possibly be logical. More merchants = more demmand.

More merchants is also more ways to spend it.
489  Economy / Speculation / Re: $440 will be broken faster with PayPal's help on: September 10, 2014, 12:08:50 PM
with paypay will first drop and much latter gets stable growth.
490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Explain me please on: September 09, 2014, 11:22:38 AM
While exponentialy rising value was good to attract users, miners and investors, stable value is needed to achieve customer and merchant adoption, so being around $500 is not neccesary bad. As it is now, nobody really knows where we'll be in a year, up at $10k or down at $1.

But again those $10k or $1, wil be just at some moment of time. When wil reach wilnto stay at $10k or $1, so if you will not sell, you will not gain that profit/loss.
491  Economy / Speculation / Re: $440 will be broken faster with PayPal's help on: September 09, 2014, 11:11:16 AM
Paypal just made an advertisement so hold on falllling. They did not do anything yet to really harm BTC.
492  Economy / Economics / Re: Is 1 bitcoin a decent and good investment? on: September 09, 2014, 11:09:40 AM
If you but 1 whole bitcoin now you will be rich in twenty years from now just by holding it.

this is the problem. 20 years is a very long period.

It for sure is longer then 10 years, but not as long as 40 years.
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal + Bitcoin: Welcome to the promised land! on: September 09, 2014, 11:00:52 AM
Still waiting on that rise tho......

In bitcoin land things happen with 3 months delay. And actually nothing really happened. It was just an advertisement, that is all.
494  Economy / Speculation / Re: I just bought 3BTC on: September 09, 2014, 10:59:19 AM

495  Economy / Speculation / Re: BREAKING: PAY PAL INTEGRATES BITCOIN on: September 09, 2014, 10:57:24 AM
This means more selling pressure on the market! All the payments made by clients will be instantly sold for awesome FIAT!

Expect $3xx bitcorns soon!!!

There was trades at 3200 euros yesterday on btc-e. that is over $4000 per BTC.
496  Economy / Speculation / Re: small dumped just happened. on: September 09, 2014, 10:55:37 AM
On both bitstamp and btc-e, smallish dump just happened a few minutes ago. Finally triggered some of my buy orders Cheesy

bitcoin is going to nowhere but down, lower and lower cheaper and cheaper!

"cheap coins" today will be even cheaper at tomorrow!

I apologize on behalf of these two posters..  They can't help but fud every thread on the forum with nonsense.  What they are really trying to say is "hey, I want cheaper coins so shut up and stop buying them all stupid head(whine, crying").

How about you go through my post history and see that I'm almost never in this speculation section. Please go find FUD I'm spreading. Look at the time stamp of first post in this thread, and see that there was a steep dip. Fact. And that finally triggered some of my personal buy orders that were left there for weeks. Fact. I never said any of this was good nor bad, so feel free to direct all your bitching at falllling instead.

You on the other hand, have 296 posts in this section.

That makes him much more experienced as a Speculator
497  Other / Off-topic / Re: Six Doctors For a Medical Revolution on: September 09, 2014, 10:52:06 AM
I dont get this. What about those doctors?

Those doctors are curing many of the disease that the medical can't, or only claim to be able to control. Mostly they are doing it by nutrition and exercise... lifestyle.

See my topic at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=774990.

Smiley

I understand so like alternative doctors. well there on world is i guess more alternative doctors then mainstream ones. not just 6.
498  Economy / Economics / Re: ♛ Bitcoin is 3200 Euro!!! ♛ on: September 09, 2014, 10:50:39 AM
Now we can say that 2014 is the best year for bitcoin, we have tripled the previous ATH and the rise was really fast!

But tripled is not best i think was over 10 in past.
499  Other / Meta / Re: [Poll] Should we rename the Altcoin Board to "Monero Forum" on: September 08, 2014, 08:23:13 PM
If you will keep open new accounts and make new Monero threads they will never deplete. Usualy this treads start when Monero start growing now is steady for few days, and at least 2 show up daily.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is the best coins to trade on: September 08, 2014, 06:32:37 PM
You would be better off researching coins yourself rather than relying on advice here. Some people might advise you to buy a shit coin that they want to get rid of.

Yeah it has gotten really bad as of late.  A lot of bagholders looking to unload to pay for Thanksgiving or Christmas?

True, but soon some will want to fill bags so will be able to unload for Chinesse new year
