I'm starting to think that the more adoption of btc by merchants, the more it will HURT price of bitcoin.

Care to elaborate on why you think that is because I don't see how it can possibly be logical. More merchants = more demand.

Depends on the implementation. If all they do is take bitcoin, and convert it to USD to sit it paypal accounts, Xiaoxiao is absolutely correct. If they make it easier to get and hold BTC, the price will rise. This is all short term. Long term it is certainly positive.
