481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times all-in save your bankroll? on: April 03, 2024, 06:14:01 PM
What game is your favorite to do this and what’s your record so far if you can still track it?
I did it sometimes and managed to save my bankroll from losses. Always on dice game with lowered odds to maximize winning chances. It was like a safe emergency bet for me, meaning that even if everything went wrong, I could still save my bankroll by following this strategy, and indeed it worked for a while. However, it's not a sustainable strategy on long run. Inevitably, at some point the all-in strategy made me waste the entire amount of money I could afford to lose, so it ended in loss, anyway.

I don't remember anymore how much profit I made while the strategy was working, because once you lose, everything you want is to forget about everything...
In fact, it's not the kind of strategy I would advise someone to execute, because once it stops working, you will regret a lot for losing all your money in a single shot for nothing. Then you start thinking you could have used that money for longer, through placing smaller bets, and still having some chance to save your bankroll from total loss.
482  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling addiction is not about the money you could win; it's about the "win" it on: April 03, 2024, 04:41:40 PM
I think socialization+joy+drinking+gambling is satisfaction to them. What do you think?
I think their satisfaction lies on the uncertainity the gambling game provides to them. There is a theory which says personalities like politicians, for an example, are used to be on the control of the situation all the time. They are a dominant force which decides the direction not only of their lives, but also the directions the whole society is going to take.

This burden annoys and stress them in some moments, so they feel the need for relief through activities where they aren't in charge of the situation anymore, becoming just the passive agent, resigning themselves to the active and dominant force of someone else. In this case we can consider this force to be the luck factor at gambling games.

As consequence they feel pleasure and satisfaction by not knowing what is going to happen next. If they are going to win or lose the bet. If they are going to quit the gambling session in profit or loss. This uncertainity is what gives them the thrill!
483  Other / Off-topic / Re: No interest in gambling if there is no profit or fun to be accountable. on: April 02, 2024, 11:42:37 PM
You're absolutely right. Most people don't gamble just for fun. They play to win money, with the aim to support their families. We all might say "it's just for fun," but that's not always true. Lets be sincere many gamblers do play to win and take care of their loved ones, or maybe start a business or settle some debt. There is always a deep reason why we gamble not only for fun every time.
For me it sounds contradictory that people gamble to support their families, to take care of their loved ones, to start a business or to pay off debt, because the chances are against them on long run. The more they play, the more they lose, and as consequence, they won't be able to do all the things mentioned earlier. It's quite the opposite: family will don't have any support, loved ones will feel frustrated or betrayed, the business will never get started (because there isn't money for that) and further debt will be accumulated by the gambler.

It's like wishing to have a peaceful life at downtown of a big urban center. People can be incongruous between their wishes and actions, but it's pretty obvious they aren't going to achieve the result they are looking for through the means they are using to reach there...
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoin games in exchanges on: April 02, 2024, 10:44:40 PM
So should be careful such shitcoin games. It may increase your money thousands time but i think, people will loss more than gaining
Well, when you buy those shitcoins you are taking high risks which are compatible to the potential profit you might make with them, since you talked about 300%-500% and even 20.000%. Therefore, you can expect it's not an easy thing to do, or even something sustainable to keep doing on long run in order to increase your portfolio. Better to stick to solid cryptocurrencies which won't be delisted from exchanges, even though they don't have the same profitability potential of shitcoins. And if you are still willing to be greedy, make sure to use only small sums of money to acquire those shitcoins, as you were gambling with your money, and not exactly investing it. After all, these shitcoins can't even be considered investments due to the lack of fundamentals behind them!

But who knows... Maybe you can be really lucky to turn few bucks of dollar into few hundreds of even thousands if you pick the right shitcoin on the right moment, before it's too late and it starts being dumped by the speculators or delisted from the exchange. In every cases, your profile of investor will determine if it's going to be a good deal for you or not. For conservative investors it's definitely not, but for risk takers, it might be an option.
485  Economy / Economics / Re: Church Business on: April 02, 2024, 10:29:25 PM
Guys let discuss what do you think about this, are these pastor's really being called or they are just looking for a way out of economic hardship
I don't believe on these preachers and pastors. Most of them profit using the name of God in vain, deceiving and lying to the believers for their own benefit. It's true they do some charity work, help people in despair and rescue others from addiction and criminal life through their temples, but they also get a large share for themselves on the process, which is composed by the donations provided by the believers.

In my opinion, that is not fair, because the believers could be using that money for themselves, since they have lots of financial needs in life in most cases. Also, one of the worst aspects these preachers promote is the 'theology of prosperity' concept, where they promise the believers are going to be rewarded with tons of money if they donate to the temple, as it worked like a spiritual ponzi scheme managed by God himself... That is disgusting, but many people donate in the process expecting to receive a lot back later. These religions work around money, and in the scriptures it's said to not put money above God, so it's very contradictory from their part.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has BTC really become more attractive than gold? on: April 02, 2024, 09:48:52 PM
Are you investing in BTC or gold?
I'm currently into BTC investment. Regards gold, I don't have any practical experiences, because I have never found an opportunity to start investing on it. It doesn't look an accessible investment when compared to Bitcoin, in my opinion.

Do you think BTC has become more attractive than gold in the investment sector?
Of course. Bitcoin has a much superior potential of profitability, while gold works more as a stable asset to maintain your money value along the time. Both are efficient against inflation, but Bitcoin has an additional advantage due to the fact it gets highly valuable on long run, although we still have to consider the volatility factor which usually plays against investors on short run... Anyway, I guess the decision of investing in gold or Bitcoin will really depend on the objective the investor has for his money: to maintain the patrimony stable or to grow it exponentially.

Have people like Peter Schiff accumulated a lot of BTC while still badmouthing BTC in the media?
That is something we can only speculate about. I believe there is every kind of people in the world. There are those who badmouthed Bitcoin genuinely believing on what they were saying and there are those who badmouthed Bitcoin in front of the cameras, while adopting it on the backgrounds. The most important thing is to never get too influenced by these personalities when choosing what to do with your money. You don't have to put all your eggs on the same basket, so why not try investments which these people despise? Maybe they are wrong and your intuition is right...

Actually I had another pending deposit issue that I was going to bring to light after this one had been addressed, they resolved both without me needing to bring to their notice. Thank you everyone.
These are great news! I'm happy for you that everything ended well after those long months waiting for a solution. All the efforts made by you and other members of this community were valid. Your case was a very unique one in all these years I've been an user of the platform, and even though I've been constantly cashing out satoshis from freebitco.in without any issues, the fact you didn't have your issue solved was disturbing me, as we don't want for others what we don't want for ourselves, and as what happened to you could have also happened to any of us instead.

Enjoy your satoshis and the peace of mind you must be feeling for having solved a long lasting issue in your crypto journey! I know you registered on this forum due to your pending deposit, but why not continue active here from now on, anyway? It's good to have long term freebitco.in's users posting here in a frequent basis and sharing their experiences.

If your problem is not solved, and you do not get an answer, maybe it is because there is no reason to answer to you?
Maybe... But the 'maybe' also implies there is a probability he deserved to be replied. So, the 'perhaps' factor arouses a lot of doubts among members of this community, because in the end, all we have is a 'may be', speculations of what is going on, but no assurances. That is why support of every services should be assertive, attentive, technical on their replies and why not, humble and polite as well, when replying to their customers?

You can claim whatever you want, in the end you are not going to get what you want just because you are persistent, just because you keep spamming doesn't mean that you are right. Thequin would respond if he wants to, if not then he doesn't have to.
Maybe... Wink
490  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Empire of Evil Empire of Lie on: April 01, 2024, 02:50:18 PM
More: the US has destroyed Ukraine way more than Russia. If Ukraine had surrender by the second month of the war, there would have been some several hundred fewer deaths there. Does this mean that the US is more Christian by pushing the war... which they actually pushed on Russia starting at least 2014?
You use so many subverted analogies in the name of God... Few of the most important values The Bible shares are honor, loyalty and fidelity. It teaches us to not give up on principles, which are divine, even during the hardest moments faced in life. We can see this through the struggle many characters of the stories had to overcome in order to fulfill their missions. And when they gave up, God severily punished them, like when the prophet Jonah refused to preach to the people of Nineveh that the Assyrian capital would be destroyed, if they remained in sin. He ran away from his duty, escaping through the seas, when a storm reached the ship and the crew dropped him in the sea, where a giant fish swallowed him.

Jesus could have given up on different moments during his earthly lifetime, but he didn't! Many others could have resigned to the opression imposed to them by much larger and more powerful empires (Exodus from Egypt, Gideon and the Small Army, David versus Goliath...), but they didn't, because they were loyal to those divine principles, and consequently loyal to God.

Christians don't want war, but they have to defend themselves if war is declared to them. It's Ukraine's right to defend their territory, their home, as you would do if someone attempted to invade your house.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does prediction in sport work for you? on: April 01, 2024, 02:23:53 PM
If you are interested in gambling on sports, do you rely on prediction betting sites? Why?
What is the most prominent site you rely on?
No. Most of these sites exist just to generate traffic, so ads promoted on the website are displayed to most people as possible, and the owners make an income for themselves. I don't believe there is a serious commitment with the informations shared on these portals. They predict anything, justify their predictions somehow and don't care if their guesses will be right or wrong, as long as people are accessing the website and generating them income this way. At same time, even if they were careful and fully commited to these predictions, it wouldn't mean guarantee of anything, anyway.

Sports' results are random after all, and you still have to be lucky to pick the right side on a match, being it the favorite or the underdog. If there was such things as prominent sites to access accurate matches' results, nobody would bet on the losers anymore, and as consequence, there wouldn't be money to pay the winners, leading this gambling modality to extinction.
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: April 01, 2024, 01:47:23 AM
There's no fun when we keep winning as well. I mean, we gamble ot experience the thrill and we know that it's a win or loss game, and if we have more wins than winning, that gives us the kind of fulfilling feeling that we thought we are really good in gambling. Yes, the reality is we loss most of the time, that's just how gambling work, otherwise casino would not anymore exist because we beat them.

The discipline in sticking with our budget only, tha'ts the most vital thing to do since we want to last more to enjoy more and that requires to properly manage our bankroll. You don't go all in if you don't want to get busted, I'm sure you guys know that if we do that, most of the time the result is not good.
It's interesting what you say about the connection between fun and winnings, because it makes a lot of sense! The fun doesn't consist exactly on the winnings, but on the struggle we face to achieve a winning in the end. Then it's highly rewarding, not only financially, but also emotionally, because we feel the thrill!

It's like watching a movie where the hero always overcome the challenges without any effort, or doesn't face any challenges at all during his journey on the story. Movies like that aren't fun, because they are monotonous and obvious... You know exactly what is going to happen, when it's going to happen and how it's going to finish, without having to watch the entire movie. Even the action scenes in movies like that aren't fun.

The unpredictable makes movies fun, just like the randomness makes gambling fun for gamblers. That is the truth!
493  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Equal society is possible.... on: April 01, 2024, 01:34:33 AM

It is a different way to look at it, which most of people would also understand.
Within the political spectrum one could find parties or movements which are either in favor of equality of opportunities, while there are others more into equality of results.
Those who are in the political right are more into equality of opportunities, while the left is more into equality of results.
For example, a government which is in favor of equal chances/opportunies will offer affordable education and access to food for children, and in the case some of the children chose or could not continue to study and later in life not to be able to affort a home for it, they will disregard that.
On the other hand, a government which favors the equal of results, will try everyone to be able to have a home or afford one, regardless whether they chose/could study and get a good job earlier in their youth.

Because, it is correct what you say. Each person has gotten their own particular and personal challenges and it would be impossible to reach equity by treating all of them the same way, that is why in some of the works of Marxism, it is encouraged not to treat all of the citizens equally, but doing things in that way is justified within the theory to reach equity or the abolition of social classes.
Indeed. The leftist libertarian spectrum doesn't agree with the idea of "Meritocracy", and since they believe the idea of equality is directly related to Meritocracy, they think it's not enough to reach their utopian society, where everyone will be, in theory, equal. Therefore, they push the concept of equity ahead as the final solution. The point is that if you aren't rewarded for your merits, you will feel discouraged to continue developing yourself as individual and as a gear of your local society. On long run, it will only work for the total collapse of the community.

There will be always people with more difficults to develop themselves as individuals and to thrive in life. The point is that these people have to count on the good will and benevolence of the ones who are in better conditions to continue evolving in life as well, instead of governments seizing belongings and forcing people who are in better conditions to live on the same low standards of the rest of the population, as the equity in misery were the solution for all the problems in the world...
494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 31, 2024, 06:48:14 PM
1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.
I agree. It makes no sense to put all your money in a single bet, because if you lose, you will have to quit immediately without playing for a considerable length of time, what means it won't be fun for you to gamble. There is a big difference between losing X amount of money after playing for an entire hour and losing X amount of money in few seconds...

2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
Disagree on that one. It's interesting to apply strategies to the game which consist in changing the bet size from times to times. It can be helpful in order to hit a nice win and end the day in profit.

3. Don't bet more than once a day.
I disagree on this one as well. If you have spare time to gamble more than once a day, I see no reason why you shouldn't do this, unless you are already developing an addictive behavior to gambling games. Therefore, it will really depend on the reality faced by each gambler to conclude if they should gamble just once a day or more.

4. Don't bet every day.
Well, this is a good advice. You don't work everyday and don't do the same things everyday, so it should also apply to gambling. It's important to have a diversified routine where you do different activities on each day of the week.
495  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Equal society is possible.... on: March 31, 2024, 05:51:18 PM
An equal society does not mean everyone will be in the class of the elites. If everyone belong to that class, there will be no balance and it will certainly cause more problems than good for the people. Irrespective of the amount of wealth one has to his name, everyone should still be given equal rights. This is where the equality comes In. No one should be prevented from enjoying certain benefits simply because they are poor. An equal society where everyone shares thesame right and benefits can  actually be achieved if everyone can drop their pride and live in harmony with one another. This is the only way we can bridge the gap between the rich and the poor in the society.
That is the difference between equality and equity. In a system where equality prevails, every individuals have the same rights, obligations and are treated in the same manner by the justice system, while in a system of equity, the central party or government attempts to flatten everyone to be on the same level, what is a fallacy by itself, since this kind of system can't work in a fair way because everyone is different from each other, and such differences can't be flatten by an external imperfect force from another human beings.

Then we just have a bunch of demagogic and populistic tyrannical governors trying to impose this concept of social politics on their territories, which never work, and only creates further inequality and uprisings.

A generic and simplistic comparison between equality versus equity.
Equity is a system which encourages laziness, passivity towards life and parasitism.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: March 31, 2024, 05:29:40 PM
Nowadays you can find these claw machines in many stores, restaurants and malls. They are popular among young people, and are always shining captivating colours to the eyes. Most of them reward soft toy or cuddly toy and electronic gadgets, while there are also few versions where you can grab paper money available. You just have to be skilled enough to manage collecting the prize with the claw, dropping it into the collect box right after.

In order to play, you have to risk money from your pocket for a single or few attempts with the claw. In most attempts, however, it's like the prize will slip from the claw or you won't even achieve collecting anything with it, since it's made of a slippy metal.

Do you consider this a category of gambling game? What are the chances on long run? Skills matter, or do you have to be lucky, nevertheless?

497  Other / Off-topic / Re: Noticing sign of gambling addiction before it gets worst on: March 31, 2024, 03:45:16 PM
So I'm thinking before you become involved in frequent gambling behaviour what is the sign that you notice that you are doing when you gamble?
What I observe in myself is only the temptation to continue playing after losing gambling budget. That is, the temptation to chase losses, even though I know I shouldn't. It's just that it's too hard to accept the fact you have lost and you will end your gambling session with less money on your pockets than when you firstly started. Anyway, I don't let that emotion grow inside me, so I immediately stop playing once my budget is gone and try to think on another activities until I calm down.

Self-knowledge is a very important trait to avoid feeding a potential addiction into becoming reality. Develop it progressively inside yourself, and you will be more likely not getting into trouble in your daily life. And that is something which is useful besides gambling matters, as the impact will be positive over every aspects of your existence.
498  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you cope with Teenagers experiencing Youthful Exuberance? on: March 30, 2024, 04:12:13 PM
I told her, the child is experiencing  "Youthful exuberance" which is normal for teenagers. This behavior can manifest in different forms, such as high energy levels, risk-taking behavior, and also desire for independence.
Nowadays, lack of limits imposed to teenagers and lack of respect displayed by teenagers is considered normal even from the biological perspective, since the science says their brains aren't totally developed yet, therefore they tend to have such noxious behaviors mentioned by you.

However, why teenagers from previous generations weren't exactly like this? Responsabilities were taken since an early age, traditions were important, and what the elders had to say and advise mattered. Now these teenagers are writting the rules, as there wasn't anything to consider before their existence. They are the pinnacle of ethics, morals and everything they defend must be accepted by society.

This phenomenon is more evident in the Western world, so no surprises why it's so decaying from a social and fraternal point of view. If you want to avoid this plague from falling over your heirs, make sure to educate themselves with timeless values, which transcend the trends of the modern era, and the barbarism of ancient times.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good or Bad - Blackrock Buying BTC on: March 30, 2024, 03:52:13 PM
I don't see any reason why it can be bad. If you say that them buying a lot of Bitcoin will make it difficult for retail investors to buy Bitcoin then it's not true. They wouldn't buy every Bitcoin up for sale and people who are interested in buying at current prices can still make their purchases regardless of how many they or any other industry leader buys.

Individuals generally don't buy when the prices are a bit high while companies and firms like Blackrock can't wait for a better price because they need to have Bitcoin at all times for their customers.
This isn't the problem. The problem is that BlackRock will have too much supply of Bitcoin on their hands, what means their influence inside this market increases a lot, giving margin to price manipulation. They have already done it recently, crashing Bitcoin price right after the ETFs were approved by SEC. And that was just a sample, as they had potential to do a much deeper damage to Bitcoin.

It's never good news that whales are mass acquiring Bitcoins, as it will increase their power and decrease the participation of autonomous average investors in the total supply. Another example is the speculator Elon Musk who adopted BTC through his company Tesla, boosting BTC price considerably, but right after talked negatively about Bitcoin harming the environment, dumping Bitcoin price as consequence.

What these whales want is that Bitcoin becomes an hostage of their greedy financial goals.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: House always wins? The case of Trump Plaza. on: March 30, 2024, 03:36:50 PM
One must wonder what happened for a casino of this level and category to get in bankruptcy?
I can't say anything about this case in particular, but it's not impossible for a casino of this height to bankrupt. Keep in mind the more you have, and the more sophisticated your businesses become, more expensive are going to be the maintenance costs to keep it working. There are a lot of recurrent expenses to pay in order to keep a casino like that operating: employees, taxes, repairs...

Do you think this is one of the few cases when the house did not win or perhaps it had something to do with factors external to the casino snd it's management?
I'm sure it has something to do with external factors.

Have you ever heard about casinos this big failing to the point they need to be completely demolished before? Because I have not.
Yes, there are other casinos on the same situation as well. After COVID pandemic, many businesses struggled to continue operating and decided to shut down their services. I believe to run a land based casino is much more challenging than managing an online platform.
