481  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 05, 2023, 06:26:02 PM
What a shit show to attack the privacy. I was away for a week and returning in the forum then I see the topic with more than 23 pages of discussion. It's sad to see such strict punishment [I will call it punishment] against mixers. But I think theymos made a good choice. It shows that protecting the forum is his best interest.

Finally, to all legal mixers/services.
I think a mixer will be legal only when they will introduce KYC 😂

You need mixer to hide your addresses from your clients, partners, society, regular people but you don't need to hide it from authority, they don't like it as they want to know every penny that is coming in your wallet and going out from there. Give it to them and they will be happy.

Are we going to see a mixer that will require KYC verification before sending them your coins? A government run agency can bring such mixers. What do you say?

Let's continue.

The most entertaining aspect of this is that only one DT has since ~Vod.  Cheesy

I think theymos has been tired of the drama for years, and I don't blame him.
The Bitcointalk Trust system is truly decentralized now 🥳
Theymos can create a topic about it on the Reputation board, if he cares.
I doubt he will take that path. On the other hand, Vod seems mad and he is looking for opportunities to mess up with theymos.

This is one of the things I like about Bitcointalk: Admin is no snowflake and allows users the freedom to dislike him.
Do doubt it's the bright side.
484  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.game asking me to lose intentionally, then confiscating funds on: November 26, 2023, 06:25:22 PM

For a user, there are no way to know more than one company is using the same provider. Even if the user knows more than one company is using the same provider still he can pretend that he does not know anything about it. My point is if I have 5 accounts with 5 different gambling sites and if those 5 gambling sites are using the same provider, is there any terms that I can not place bet in the same market and in the same leg? I understand if I place bet in the same market but in different leg then it may mark as arbitrage bet which is a valid accusation to protect their business.

The risk management should be for individual entries [Here BC.Game]

Usually the user would get limited before they've placed a bet, but in this case, the bet was voided 5 days after the bet was settled. If it were up to us, we would not have done such a thing, and so we've decided to refund the user anyway, as it was a really awkward situation that our provider had put us in. We do have plans to upgrade our odds provider in the distant future to a more robust one.
Limiting in every gambling site seems reasonable.
Good to observe you are finally working on making things right. If you continue making things right then all these negative on your feedback page will not stay long. Since the case is resolved and status updated by the OP, I removed my support from the flag. Looking ahead more progress and I will have no problem to remove the negative feedback I left.
485  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.game asking me to lose intentionally, then confiscating funds on: November 26, 2023, 03:56:27 PM

He's placing a bet across different platforms on the same game for the same result. Far as I know, what's prohibited is arbitrage betting, where the bettor placed bets for multiple outcome. Given OP placed bet for the exact same outcome, I don't think that's prohibited. Unless a clause in BC's ToS specifically prohibit this... can you perhaps point it out to us, please?

Odds providers usually limit the maximum bet amount a user can place on a market; this is a common risk management strategy implemented by every odds provider. When a user exceeds the limit placed, they're not allowed to place more on the same market, and since we share the same odds provider, the limit was enforced cross-site. The 5-day delay in voiding the bet makes it awkward, but this is what has transpired.

I am marking this case as solved in my summary as well.
Would you mind posting the summary you have? Thank you.

To be honest, I think a negative feedback for trolling does not justify the feedback system.

digaran, I don't understand why are you failing to understand your situation? You are not helping yourself in-fact you are upsetting many others which is making you look every bad.

The best suggestion I have for you is: Leave the reputation board for the next one or more years.

[...]
We will no longer waste time answering made-up facts. We will act and implement what we have announced in several previous posts.

Umm... you do aware that though the post being quoted by BitcoinGirl.Club was mine, that was fully intended to be answered by you? I can give my guess, but I'm afraid that'll be considered as a made-up facts. So, the podium is yours.
I was expecting an answer for them to be honest.

The front end stored the data [email and password], when it was sending insertion query to the database it encrypted the data. Anyone with direct access of the database can not read the data. It make sense.

When the front end is retrieving the data [email and password], it's reading the encrypted data and decrypting to perform different functions [checking user when sending login request, password reset, user information and many other things].

Betnomi have the same casino script [functional front end], and the database. Where is the problem?

Let's make it simpler.
Encryption is two way because you always need the original data to perform the functions you have associated with it.

In a web form password can be encrypted or hashed. Hash is one way. If I am not wrong [from my outdated knowledge], hash contains your password, a component called salt or sult and a key. When a database is compromised the salt or sult is compromised but the 128 [I suppose] bits key is not. Without the key you will never know the original password. Because of that developers prefers to store the hash instead of the password you given.

But for email and any other data, it is always encrypted [if it needs more security] and encryption are two way.

Considering the emails were encrypted, certainly it can be decrypted. I believe the team is still trying to mislead everyone or the person behind the account do not have such knowledge.

By the way, I do not have latest knowledge about the tech but anyone who is trustworthy and have programing knowledge, can confirm if I have mistaken anything to explain hash.

490  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov aka Symmetrick be in DT1? on: November 26, 2023, 01:28:17 PM
we've got a brand-new OP
The OPs may seem brand new but you can not do anything with the quotes and mentions, can you?

When someone opens a thread and offers to sponsor a contest, they should just send those funds to someone to hold and consider them gone.
That's what I thought too. But after reading a few members I interpreted it like this:
I promised to send donation to a charity but at some point my circumstance changed, I can apologize as a gentleman and seek a leave. A few members thought it as a donation and if that's the case then I think it's okay not to be harsh towards the account.

Although considering everything that happened and judging by all of it, I do not think Ratimov is worthy to trust with any kind of cash [corn] but if we start leaving negative feedback for it then I think his forum journey will over. I don't think he will have any motivation to continue since many campaign managers will not consider him valuable for their campaigns.

491  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.Game - can't withdraw 7.97 BTC on: November 25, 2023, 09:21:01 PM
t seems only casino streamers "can" win millions of dollars. When ordinary players have problems with an amount ten times less. It is sad((
That's what they show you. In reality the streamers and the casino owners have internal deal. They just get paid for their time.
Only for paid partnership streamers though. But not to those who just make a video out of it without affiliation, just to show off or something. But it rarely happens as streamers with huge fandom or not that huge will probably mentioned their price for every video/stream made.
When you see a streamer is wagering hundreds of thousands of bets on slots and losing or winning anything from it, don't consider it real. Casino and them had a deal.

They receive balance from the casino with conditions like wager x time [30x or 50x something like that] if you win something after or if you have any balance after wagering the required amount then it's yours [there will be a maximum limit too, if the remaining balance cross the limit then the rest will be wiped from the account].

The deal can be a fee for the time they spend too. The same way, casino will credit them huge balance and they have to play the slots in front of their audience.

What is stopping you to send the email to the users existed with the version of database you have right now? Just a simple email blast, follow a few more to ensure everyone read the email. I will be checking my email.

Because for some reason, they can't decrypt it... apparently.

We can't send mass emails because they are encrypted, and no, before you ask, it is a one-way encryption.
Correct me where I am wrong.

The front end stored the data [email and password], when it was sending insertion query to the database it encrypted the data. Anyone with direct access of the database can not read the data. It make sense.

Is there a word for "at least I got some of the money back from the thieves"?
It was wise to take whatever was in the table. Partially solved, let's keep it that way.
At-least you got something back which is a good news.

That's your unpopular personal opinion. I believe most people suggest not playing in such a casino even if they solve all the issues after all these dramas. It's not like we saw this kind of accusation last week or month. They have been like this for a long time but the good thing was they were listening to forum members back then.

As of now, they barely care about forum reputation. If they do, there is no reason for a casino to speak nothing in the last two months. Even if they solve all the issues, I don't think players will ever trust them. At least I won't.
Let's not make a conclusion. I am watching the progress they are going to make. Let's hope this is promising.

Is anyone stopping them to fix their issues?

497  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is 1miau fit for DT? on: November 25, 2023, 05:59:36 AM
Another issue is paid shitposting.
Signature campaigns are somehow a problem causing this but I believe the real problem are greedy shitposters and I’ve been ready to call them out. Unfortunately, when there are too many of these, they will take revenge at some point. I’ve left them neutral trust ratings, that everyone can read up on the issue and make up his own opinion, so everyone will be aware of some of them.
When you see a shitpost, report it to moderator. Spams will be taken care by the people who are assigned to the role. Leaving a feedback even if that is neutral shows some sort of judging a user publicly, many do not like it at all. On the other hand, who are you to judge others like that? Actmyname earned some sort of mutual trust from the community to do that but you, JollyGood and some others are far away from such position.

It seems you are always using a plural form [we, our] of person when explaining certain things. Surely I am not attached to any of these we/our LOL.
498  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status on: November 25, 2023, 05:41:42 AM
Regarding the suggestion to send an email to users, this is clearly the most effective way to resolve this issue. However, as we mentioned in our initial statement, we do not have access to the database. We do have a limited version of the database that is shared with regulators for compliance purposes. If we had access to the actual site database, we would simply restore the site and allow users to withdraw their funds directly. Unfortunately, this is not the case, and we can only do what we can with the resources available to us.
What is stopping you to send the email to the users existed with the version of database you have right now? Just a simple email blast, follow a few more to ensure everyone read the email. I will be checking my email.

Code:
2. Username (request will be ignored if the username does not exist)
3. Email address (request will be ignored if the email does not match)
Sounds like it's the users fault!
499  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing BC.Game Support Team: Building Trust and Transparency on: November 25, 2023, 05:19:38 AM
Also, this is neither a project announcement nor a promotional post. So it is alright to open a new thread, as we deem this newsworthy as per the rules:

Because a certain site has been spammed to hell here, we have decided to start enforcing this rule. Unless your thread is for a new site or is newsworthy (such as a you are hosting a whole new type of game on a site, a new noteworthy feature is added to a site, you need to alert the community to a potential scam, or you're asking a general question that applies to more than one site), please post it the in the Games and rounds subforum or respond to an applicable existing thread on this board.

You are not asking a general question that applies to more than one site
There are no new noteworthy feature is added to your site
Not hosting a whole new type of game on a site

Are you alerting the community to a potential scam from your site?

You seem to be mistaken; our main account will remain as it is and will be used for announcements. This account however, will be used for helping out users with issues and clarifying accusations. We're working on a case-by-case basis to resolve all the issues as we speak. Smiley
Trying to over-smart a forum member who is here since 2015 and active in most of his forum lifetime? Don't you think you are too naive in this?
500  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing BC.Game Support Team: Building Trust and Transparency on: November 25, 2023, 04:49:50 AM
We're genuinely excited
Creating a new account does not mean you really is excited to leave all your bad actions unnoticed. If you want to be excited for real then solve all the accusations against you, accept the damages that has done in your main account, show loyalty to the community without asking questions, continue it for a certain period of time. If anyone does not change their mind, respect it.

Has no one told you that you can not open more than one topic for one project in this board?
