481  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Monetizing Ideas for good bitcoin domain? on: November 15, 2017, 01:19:59 AM
I'm currently selling some great domains, but if they don't sell I want to monetize them myself.

1. freebitcoins.cc

I was thinking of making this a bitcoin faucet website and display ads or make visitors watch videos to earn satoshis. Is this still profitable for the faucet hosts or is there even interest from consumers? I am open to other ideas for monetizing it, I need some suggestions. I've never done anything for bitcoin, so looking for advice from experienced people.

2. btc.help

This could be a plethora of things. I was mainly thinking about overall information that will be easy for new people to bitcoin to understand and maybe some basic tools.

I would say that the second one would be pretty good to be monetized. Probably you can create some blogs about how to use bitcoins, how to earn them, and similar information threads. Then you can also incorporate a blockchain browser as well as some useful tools like signature verification and fee calculator. Make it something like, btc.com, blockchain.info, earn.com (previously 21.co) and coindesk rolled up into one.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEST TIME TO INVEST IN ALTCOIN!! on: November 14, 2017, 04:55:18 PM
I would say that this is the best time when prices of bitcoins are stabilizing. You can buy so much cheap alts right now after most of the altcoins when down after the sudden price increase of bitcoins. I would buy DOGE right now since prices are really low for it right now, and if it does pump back to 120 sats each that would be a 600% profit! Based on the charts DOGE always does hit 120 sats at some point.
483  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trustworthy Mixing services? on: November 14, 2017, 04:43:30 PM
I think what's in right now is chipmixer, I've seen a lot of people use it and they have a pretty intuitive way of mixing coins which is something nice to see. It's not just the normal send and receive kind of mixing service. I do think they are a legit one and you can trust them, since they're really spending a lot of money for advertisements and promoting their service.
484  Economy / Economics / Re: Will there ever be a Bitcoin Bank on: November 14, 2017, 04:19:37 PM
There is a similar kind of thread somewhere here or in the bitcoin discussion. I believe it has been heavily and long debated and most of the answers were that it is not possible and there is no point in creating one. The fact that you can just store it yourself is the best thing for your bitcoins.

However, the argument I would like to chip in is that a bank functions as a way to distribute money. People who want to store their money can do so in banks and people that need to borrow money can also go to banks. The banks lend out the deposits of their clients. This can also be done with bitcoins, but I don't think it would be in-line with the purpose and primary features of bitcoins that it is decentralized.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Cash beat BTC? on: November 14, 2017, 04:10:37 PM
I highly doubt it. There is really no reason why people should move to bitcoin cash and away from bitcoins. Bitcoins are still pretty much alive and doesn't really require what bitcoin cash is offering. Right now the only reason why bitcoin cash suddenly moved is because of the shills promoting it. They are just profiting out of their fake pumps and a lot of miners just moved to it because of the sudden jump. It will likely drop again in the near future.
486  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Strategic bot script for Bitsler.com tested with video proving that it works !!! on: November 14, 2017, 03:46:37 PM
No matter what you say or do, your script will never ensure that a gambler will continously win and profit from any kind of strategy in gambling. It is practically and statistically impossible. This has been proven so many times, even the most elaborate, technical and complex strategies will never win in the long run. Please do not sell your script saying it is proven that it works.

If it does, show a video playing for at least 10,000 rolls and let's see if it even reaches that much rolls before you bust.

If you are really confident that your script will beat the odds, I invite you to read on about it at wizardofodds.com, see if you can really say that your strategy is that effective.
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens when all the bitcoins have been mined? on: November 14, 2017, 03:28:57 PM
hi, can anyone tell me how long it will take to mine all the coins and what will happen to the network.

It will happen by about 2140. That's pretty far away, so we don't really have to worry, but the next generations will. There is no issue when it comes to the time every bitcoin has been mined. Actually, miners are not mining bitcoins but blocks. The bitcoins they get are just rewards for finding the block. When bitcoins reach 21 million then that would mean there won't be anymore rewards to be given to the miner that finds the block. What will happen though is that the miners will still get the miner's fees. So they will work for that.
488  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Paypal accept bitcoin on: November 14, 2017, 12:10:53 PM
1) Do you think about this news will happen ?
2) Do you think paypal may accept bitcoin in next years (3-7) or it is impossible ?
3) Do you think bitcoin will be better than paypal ? when will happen ?
4) which better for now PP or BTC ?

1) No it will not, because Paypal hates bitcoins and they do not work well together. There is no reason why paypal would accept it in the near future.
2) Again, no. It is impossible.
3) It is already. Paypal is not good for the sellers since chargebacks are quite easy to do. However, bitcoins are good for sellers and bad for buyers since the transaction is irreversible. It would be hard to compel the seller to give back the money. This could be mitigated though if there would be an escrow.
4) BTC of course.

490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Friends, who can tell me is there any 0% house edge casinos? on: November 13, 2017, 09:50:36 AM
There was once a project called edgeless back then, not sure what happened it it. But to contradict everyone here, it is possible to create a casino without any house edge.

Statistically, having no house edge will mean that when the number of games nears infinity it will result to zero (zero profit or loss on both player and casino). However, since casino still have a bet size limit, that expected 0 value will not be achieved. For example, if they have a max 1 btc bet and the gambler uses a regular martin gale system with 0.001 bet and doubles every bet.

0.001
0.002
0.004
0.008
0.016
0.032
0.064
0.128
0.256
0.512
1.000 - Max bet

Which means if the gambler does even win on that 1 btc bet then he is already losing and worse he can't bet higher than 1btc after it in case he loses again. It is not uncommon that a gambler will reach that much losses even at 50% chance to win. The casino will not be as profitable as one with house edge but it will still profit in the long run.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do we still have no good bitcoin poker on: November 13, 2017, 07:53:20 AM
A few things why I think there are not much good online poker gambling sites,

1. Because it is just a niche kind of gambling game. There is not much players looking to play poker to gamble. Since in poker you need to be more than lucky in it, you also need skill. There is a smaller chance to win in poker than in just playing games like dice, if you do not have enough skill.
2. Ultimately related to number 1, is that gambling sites and operators do not profit so much from it since there are not much players and there is really no house edge.
3. Takes so much time to finish a tournament, or even just a single game. This is a factor to consider for both players and the operators. Since most players do not really like to wait too much and the operators do not like to have a long game since it would cost a lot more to run their poker site eating their profits.
492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: November 13, 2017, 07:32:10 AM
If were to hit the jackpot of 200 bitcoin i would firstly buy my own house and lot and a really nice car.
All bitcoin that is left from the jackpot will be kept for future use, 200 bitcoin is a lot of money and i dont want to spend it on some nonsense thing.
Jackpot of 200 BTC, oh such a huge amount of money. I think I can fulfill all my dreams and wishes from such a big amount of money.

I think I will be the luckiest person if I will win the 200$ jackpot. I can always expect to win a 200$ jackpot, because I can consider myself as lucky person, but tell I only succeeded in winning small amount of money from gambling.

Setting a jackpot win should really be a requisite in answering this thread. To be honest, it would change the outcome of every answer if it was just asking "if you won the jackpot". Since if you think about it, what if you just won a $100 jackpot or what if you won a $10,000,000 jackpot. Those are extremely different situations. Not to mention what if the person gambling won a $10,000,000 but he does always bet $10,000,000 per bet? Then that would be extremely different again.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any difference in investing casino ICOs and casino bankroll investments? on: November 13, 2017, 07:27:22 AM
i think i have to agreed with you that investing at the casinos bankroll will more profitable for long term because you will get steady profit share depend on your amount of investment especially if you're investing at the casinos which have plenty active players with automatically those casinos will have good profit but on ICO although there was several ICO project had succesfully but there is no guarantee those ICO coin will provide you good profit because some of ICO coin eventually became an dead coin because had lack of interest
But finding a trusted casino for bankroll investment online is not an easy job. You have to work hard for that and even then you can succeeded to select a trusted betting site. There are a lot of gambling sites who can only take away your money but will never give you any profit, therefore it is too much important to be careful while selecting a gambling site.

There are a lot of legitimate casinos taking investments in their bankroll. I agree though that you still have to do some work and your own due diligence in checking the casino you are investing in. What's hard about it is that since most people stay anonymous in most cases even in operating casinos, that is a problem which is hard to solve. In case of it cheating or closing down abruptly, how do you go after them? That is something we have to consider in case of investing into casinos.

What's your point? You're just shamelessly promoting your gambling site. OP is asking for a poker site and you are promoting something that is not even near what a poker site is.

@OP: You should check out nitrogensports. It's the most recommended one for poker and it has not issues whatsoever about them scamming users or cheating them. They have free hourly tournaments and you can play against players on all poker games.
495  Economy / Gambling / Re: Interesting Stats on: November 13, 2017, 07:12:02 AM
Amazing stats, though do those stat mean for the whole country or for just the gamblers of that country. Since I think $1,400 for an adult in australia will mean that there are so much people in gambling debt if that is true. That's a lot of money for every australian to lose. It needs to be more clear what those stats mean. Also, I don't see that the survey was conducted by any reputable authority that conducts statistics.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need some gambling strategies on: November 12, 2017, 03:32:44 AM
What is the point of having strategies in gambling anyway? There is no way a strategy will beat a casino or any gambling game anyway, so, again, what is the point of using one? Casinos games or gambling games all have negative expected value (EV) since they all have house edge. Something that should warn players already that the chances of winning is lower than losing. Because of this, the more games you play will get you closer to infinity which means that you will reach inevitably lose in the long run.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Posting/Sharing gambling related topics & news in facebook on: November 12, 2017, 03:22:30 AM
I'm not ashamed of being a gambler. Most people are to some extent. They may not be going to casinos or gambling online but when an opportunity comes they grab it without thinking twice. My family members know what I'm spending my money on and they usually don't approve (officially), but aren't trying to change me since I'm independent and not in debt.
I think you shouldn't try to hide it. Gambling is not a weakness as long as you do it in moderation, just like drinking.
Maybe if you grew with a family that hates gambling or criticizes gamblers, then you might have developed the constant feeling of being a shame to the family or something. That's how you are going to feel every time you gamble, and that's going to creep you up. There's nothing wrong to be ashamed of something and there's nothing wrong with not feeling ashamed too.
Yes, you feel yourself to be an independent gambler if you are actually not taking debt from anyone just for the sake to gamble more and to lose all you had.

The thing is that there is no shame in being a gambler even if your family has a notice about your activities. If you have earned the money without anyone’s help then probably it’s your own right to decide that where is it to be spent whether for the sake of some professional business or to have fun in the casinos.

I agree that you should be, from your wording, an "independent gambler." Since you do not rely on others for your gambling money, but that should have been the case for every gambler. I do also agree there is no shame being one especially if you do not wage all your money or anybody's money or money that should not be gambled, however I also believe that their is no point in sharing whatever you are doing on social media. I don't see that point, it just adds more drama to everybody especially to the poster.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best investment coins? on: November 12, 2017, 03:17:12 AM
If you have monero, then just use monero, you can invest those on crypto-games.net anyway. So you can just keep your monero and not spend on exchanging it to bitcoins. However, if you see that monero's price against bitcoins are going way above on how much you bought them, then you should consider trading them for bitcoins and just keep the bitcoins or invest them again on gambling sites.
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What if you can enjoy all the gambling on one site? on: November 12, 2017, 03:12:52 AM
Dice should be added in your list because a lot of bitcoin gambling site has them and you should have them too if you want your players to enjoy all types of gambling in your site. Good luck on your project I rarely see bitcoin casinos find any success with pvp gambling, some already did it before but failed to gain any wagers on to their site.
I play dice as much as any other gambling game now.

I have wagered well over 323BTC overall and just keep putting more in to it since it very easy to get a hang of it.

Dice is indeed fun, but if every new casino is just opening a new dice site, it gets really tiring and repetitive. I am not sure if I am the only one that experiences this but for me it gets boring and we should really consider opening new sites that are more intuitive, unique, fresh, and overall out of the ordinary yet it will still remain easy to play, fair, and, especially, fun.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: November 10, 2017, 10:05:28 AM
If now, yes. With very high bitcoin values now. I have reduced basebet as wel profit targets from everytime gambling. Usually profits target is 0.01btc per day. But now, I am just 300Ksat only. The high value bitcoin affects my habits in gambling.

I'm wondering if some people did not change their habit for betting although bitcoin value already high but in other side, they want to maximize their profit and dare to take the risk especially bitcoin show a promosing progress every day !

If a person does not look at the USD price then he will not change his gambling habits and his bet size for sure. But for people like me and others that are similarly situated (probably 99% of all gamblers) will likely look at the price of bitcoins and adjust their bets accordingly. Since, for me and everyone else for sure we do not want to bet big amounts of money even if the amount of BTC has not changed but the price has greatly increased meaning per bet will change of course.
