481  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Havelock Investments - Exchange feedback/comments on: February 21, 2014, 01:58:27 PM
I'm locked out, too. No warning is ridiculous.

Edit: Support got back to me in about 30 minutes, so they're on top of it, at least.

Fantastic progress. Any word from Bitmine?

We always wait to release information until the moment we have 100% confirmation. Thank you for the patience.

And the solidity of the information you provide is much appreciated. Watching this project develop over the past ~6 months has been a pleasure.

487  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Jalapeno review on TigerDirect.com on: February 08, 2014, 01:11:43 AM
To my knowledge there is no other of the shelf miner with all the end-costumer requirements (housing, shiny box, manual, psu etc) available...

There should be one.

Yes there are, quite a few.How about all the USB miners, low hashrate, but they are self contained except for the USB hub.Fairly easy to setup & mine with.

BFL's miners would be great...if it weren't for the DELAYS,go ahead & order one right now, post back here when it arrives  Cheesy

& the power brick failures,& lack of customer support  Shocked

Also,if customers don't do their RESEARCH on stuff they buy, like how to use an item or power efficiency or cost effectiveness (IE:$ per GH),who's gonna do that for them Huh BFL Huh

Before I buy a part for ANY PC I build,I RESEARCH ALL the parts for compatibility,cost,performance,etc..........

Same with cars,motorcycles,boats,household appliances,anything.

Are BFL products FCC, EC and ETL approved? Nope.

There ain't no stinking manual. These are no more consumer-friendly than anything else.

Received my piggy, and he's delightful -- he makes me smile every time I look at him. And he was obviously designed to graze on top of an AM Cube.

The tiny plastic stable is an old iPod Nano case.

Mr. Pig gladly accepts tips on my behalf.

We are especially interested in the following types of business partners:

1. Large mining operation owners who can also do massive PCB production of their own.

Cryptx, the next move is yours.
494  Economy / Collectibles / Re: NOLACOIN.COM Is Back! 0.5,1, 3BTC Physical Coin LASER ENGRAVED - GLOBAL SHIPPING on: January 27, 2014, 09:44:10 PM
These ship with fine plastic capsules, but there is a little extra space in them. If anyone is interested in a snugger fit, I can confirm that Air-Tite X43 capsules fit well, with only a tiny bit of extra space around the coin (in the pic it looks like a lot of space, but there's an inner ring actually holding the coin in place fairly closely):

This is slightly off-topic, but I couldn't resist. I had a custom Bit-Card printed with a picture of the BTCGarden blade on it, and have set up the mining revenue to output to the address associated with the card. So now I'll just let it run forever, and whatever it makes, ends up on its own special card. Why? Uh... because it occurred to me to do it.

496  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] Bitburner Fury x 1; .5BTC + shipping on: January 25, 2014, 03:36:50 PM
I'm looking for 1 Bitburner Fury in good working order; will pay shipping.

I will ask for photo proof that you have it & it works. May require escrow if your trading record here is short or inconclusive.

I received these yesterday, and they are beautiful. Really top-notch!

I opened one up to see how well it worked to scan the QR code off the metal:

There was a little residue at first, but some soap and water got it down to the mirror finish and I was able to easily swipe the key into my smartphone. This is a really slick design!

A couple more pictures here: http://object2212.com/?p=55

Thanks for making these!
498  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITBURNER FURY Technical discussion on: January 23, 2014, 12:58:23 AM
buy one with a port and canbus cable and link the two

Thanks -- I was afraid of that. If anyone's selling one at a decent price...
499  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE 220 TH/s on: January 22, 2014, 06:28:42 PM
so guys I have some questions:

- now they sold around 64K share right ? what about the rest of the shares?
- will they be selling more shares anytime soon ?
- any ETA about when the operation is coming online ?
- what guaranties the investors have on these guys?
- what if it will be a fail as the previous bitburner operation ?

I am thinking about buying some shares, but I am a doubtful about these guys here...

The remaining shares are already for sale on Havelock. No more shares will be issued.

It will be online as soon as they have hardware. CoinTerra is promising shipping within the week.

Cryptx and Peta-Mine have past proven performance, paying out dividends of ~15% of IPO value last fall. While that's not a guarantee of future performance, it's a good sign.

The Bitburner Fury based mine was not a failure. Why do you say that? It paid great dividends, then the hardware was sold in order to radically increase the hardware investment in the next (upcoming) wave.

Ordered 1/7, received unit Monday 1/20. Blades were coming loose but once everything was tightened down, it started right up and has been running great.
