The boss actually messaged him when he placed the million $$ bet and said "Why didn't you use your daily price boost!?!" could have pushed it up to like 1.79 or something like that. in total it would "have meant" an extra $40,000-$50,000 on top of his 1.74x payout.

I can't say I am sad for him too much though because he knew the risks and he took it and he ended up losing in the end... but come ooooon! Losing it like this? I mean England were clear favorites and they end up winning anyway and this guy lost only because of 90 minute result, that must sting A LOT.
I agree. No matter how rich he is, losing a million bucks just like that would have probably hit him hard. Very few people in this world stay unaffected when they lose such a large sum of money through gambling or any other route. Does he lose his bet? hmm... do we have to be surprised with that? I think we are too concerned with the amount of bet, for sure this bettor would not bet that amount if he can't afford it.
Who wouldn't be concerned with that amount? It's a million freaking bucks on a single bet. It would still hurt even if he could afford it. A loss is a loss at the end of the day.
