Hey Guys, can someone help me with the payout?

I want to send my KMD to Bittrex, but when I try to do the payout, there is always an address already entered, where the KMD are supposed to be sent to.

I donīt know where taht address points to. How can I change it?

Thank you very much!

Yes, it will withdraw to whatever KMD address you have active. You must first change the KMD address through the 'home' tab.

The instructions are in OP:

How to send your KMD to an exchange

- go to 'home' tab
- click 'use exsisting KMD address'
- input the deposit KMD address you got from an exchange
- Now that you have the correct KMD address you can proceed to the 'payout' tab
- Since you are using a 3rd party address you don't have the seed, and thus you will click 'skip'
- Follow instructions and confirm the withdrawal

Warning: make sure you are doing the withdrawal to a correct address! Once we send out the KMD there is no way to retrieve it.

I've been trying for weeks to get some Komodo I purchased/mined onto an exchange but I am having no luck.  I have tried so many different versions of the Iguana/Agama app on both Windows and Mac and I can never get a transaction to send.  It always get stuck at transmitting transaction and then eventually takes me back to the activate coin screen.  I have been trying for weeks to send a transaction.  I've tried refreshing balances right before sending and every other piece of advice I have seen.  What am I missing?

It sounds like you have some edge case bug. There are so many variables in play that it takes time to iron out all of them. For example, recently we fixed a bug that was present in on out of ~500 KMD addresses.

If you would be so kind to join our Slack and report the bug in more detail. Alternatively go to 'view' and then 'toggle developer tools' and select 'console'. Then try to send a transaction again, take a screenshot and PM me all the details including your operating system.

Because of these cases we recently came up with a temporary solution where you run Agama from a live USB stick or CD. See the guide below:

How to Run Agama From a Ubuntu 16.04 Bootable USB Drive

Does holding KMD return anything to the holders other than whatever value it obtains?  Serious question.

I have thought for the last couple of years that either DASH or BTCD would compete with BTC down the road.  Both took a little different routes.  I do think that the larger amount of coins for the new KMD will solve a problem that DASH will have when it comes to being used.  I am just missing the incentive component to KMD to hold the coin.  It has to return value somehow.  What am I missing?

In light of current issues, this can be answered whenever.  No rush on my part.  You guys will obviously be around for quite a while!

KMD is money, and the more people use it as money the more demand there is.

KMD is used by SuperNET technology & services, and those create demand for it even if it's not used as money

KMD provides privacy and pegged currencies to the third party APPS that are built on top of SuperNET, and those create demand.

KMD provides blockchain protection to third party blockchains, and that created a demand for KMD.

You also receive a 5 % APR interest automatically by holdining KMD. There are no other income sources though.

Announcement: PAX Fiat Assets are renamed to Komodo Currencies

We have done a lot of research about our brand architecture and brainstormed possible solutions that would position each brand clearly making them easy to understand. These are very basic and fundamental things that our whole marketing will rely on for the years to come. There are still a lot undecided, but the Komodo brand is coming into focus.

Bitcoin is money, but it has been criticized for its lack of privacy and price stability. Price stability will be achieved in time as its adoption grows, but we should have a stepping stone to accelerate the process, namely fiat pegged assets.

Komodo is also money, and we will brand it with qualities many other coins lacks:
 - security - Komodo is as secure as Bitcoin
 - privacy - Komodo is as private as Zcash
 - stability - Achieve the level of stability you desire

With this rename decision we achieve a number of things:
 - we don't have to brand or explain the term 'PAX.'
 - these fiat pegged assets are money just like KMD, and thus they have the same target audience
 - the power/innovations of Komodo come more self-evident

What are Komodo Currencies?

It is simple: you can convert your KMD value into any of the 32 local currencies we support. The process is, of course, decentralized and it happens automatically & instantly. Because of this, the peg will always hold.

These 32 Komodo Currencies each have a blockchain, and they are as secure as Bitcoin and as private as Zcash - just like Komodo.

So, if anyone asks "what is Komodo?" you now know the answer:

"Komodo is secure and private money with a built-in gateway to 32 independent Komodo currencies."

Furthermore, the whole SuperNET platform uses Komodo, and many of the DAPPS built on top will very likely use it too.

I have some suggestions for komodo:
- please release a light wallet for easy holding of kmd i want to safe my komodo to a device but i cant because iguana doesnt work for me
- please fix that loading bug iguana doesnt start the loading screen is always showing up
- please release a portable version of iguana i want to use it at a external device desktop is unsafe for me
- please make a installer where all files can be installed at a external device my main disc space is full

thanks

- normal KMD wallets are on their way, and we will also turn Agama into a mobile wallet
- the loading screen stays there forever if Basilisk Servers are offline (is this what you mean?). For now, that process can be skipped by editing the Agama conf file.
- that is also in plans, but not a priority currently. For now you can use a simple Ubuntu live CD or USB, not perfect but gets the job done. We published a guide about it.
- dev has now been informed about this feature request

Satinder gave a comment: "Use zip files. Extract wherever you want, and execute Agama from the extracted directory."

What is historically lowest price? Considering how team is dedicated and working seriously i'm assuming this can be very good opportunity at the moment. And unsuccessful "attack" is maybe real proof someone wants lower price.

Can this be mined solo on win7 and how? Instructions are welcomed.

Agama on a Ubuntu USB Drive

Here are instructions about how to create a bootable USB flash drive, and run Agama from it.

You might want to do this if:
 - you are having technical problems with your current operating system (Agama is built and tested on Ubuntu 16.04)
 - you only have a 32 bit operating system (Agama requires 64bit)
 - you want to be able to run Agama spontaneously from any computer

See the guide below, and let us know if you run into any problems. We just quickly made it, without any feedback or testing.

I am curious as to back story of the lizard names. Where are these names coming from? Why are they chosen?

Agama is a very curious name, I had to look it up as I had never heard of an Agama before. Very nice colors on that lizard, is that why it was chosen? Why not something cool like an alligator or a triceratops? Komodo is a big lizard after all.

Why not have renamed iguana core, supernet core and kept Iguana instead of Agama? Or call it "Lounge Core"; you know a group of lizards is called a lounge.

Will jumblr be renamed to chameleon?

Community voting on names?

Lizard naming scheme is pretty cool, some suggestions:
- Blue Tongue
- Goanna
- Perentie

jl777 started the lizard theme by first naming the enhanced Bitcoin protocol to Iguana Core, and then later came Komodo.

I'm not sure who came up with the Basilisk Mode, either jl777 or Satinder. Anyway, it is a brilliant name as the lizard is light & small just like our mode

Komodo on the other hand is big & strong beast, and that goes well with how we will brand Komodo: Private & Secure money

On our roadmap we also have Geckochains, which are smart contract and conditional logic based blockchains

The latest addition is Agama, which is a colorful lizard. Because Agama will contain a wide range or DAPPs a colorful logo sounds like a good idea. Think of Google logo or google chrome icon. We will hire someone to create the Agama brand in not too distant future.

Thanks for the suggestions, we are always on the hunt for cool lizard names and branding ideas Wink

KMD is holding strong on Bittrex.  I'm betting that it runs up before and during the upcoming conference in early April.

Difficult to say that now, we can't predict the future, maybe the result will be the opposite, you remember supernet is much lower than ICO price?

It's not difficult to say that at all right now.  I stand by my statement and my calculation of the probabilities.  Most likely, it will run up going into the conference, and therefore right now is a good time to buy and hold.

What conference?

We will be in Cointelegraph's BlockShow2017 in Munich

is there a wallet for the unity that i bought on polo?

Right now you need to use some NXT wallet, such as SuperNET lite client
https://supernet.org/en/products/nxt-services

When we import the SuperNET to its assetchain, then you will have to use Agama
https://supernet.org/en/products/agama

so are these many many projects done? like really functioning? how many projects they have? in the hundreds?

Yes, we are on the edge of completing most of them. You can go to supernet.org and download our app Agama (previously Iguana). We also have successfully launched Komodo which has Bitcoin protection and Zcash privacy as envisioned.

We also have created 32 fiat pegged assets with their own blockchain (and they are using the dPoW).

Our decentralized exchange is very close to getting finished.

We will keep enhancing the tech, and every week it is becoming more and more obvious that we have delivered. It is just a matter of putting GUI's together and polishing the technology.

Iguana, Agama, Komodo, SuperNet, EasyDEX, Full mode, Native mode, Basilisk.....jeez you guys are really making things confusing for newcomers. Do you really want anyone to simply use this?

What might be a developer's wet dream of features and names is most likely confusing the hell out of potential users.

I can break these down

Brands:
 - SuperNET
 - Agama
 - Komodo

Not brands:
 - EasyDEX (the shapeshift like exchange service in Agama)
 - Full/Native/basilisk Mode (i.e. blockchain download or no blockchain download in Agama)

The 'Mode' situation has been further simplified as we disabled 'Full Mode' from all the coins that have 'Native Mode'. So what the end user has to decide is simple: a) download the blockchain, or b) don't download it. We can illustrate the difference with icons and simple description.

SuperNET = the main brand, the organization behind the other brands

Agama and Komodo are/will be endorsed semi-independent brands. They have a loose connection to the parent SuperNET organization.

hey short question, so if i want to buy supernet can i buy the nxt asset OR unity on polo? is that the same?

It is the same, you can buy either one.

Announcement: Iguana has been renamed to Agama

The reason for the name change is technical, which might be a bit surprising. Let us explain.

We had built a new Bitcoin protocol implementation called 'Iguana Core' which is the other thing powering Agama apart from Komodo. Because these two things had very similar names it caused some problems, and we had to rename Iguana.

This name change also allows us to better talk about Iguana Core without confusing our audience. It is indeed a big piece of our innovation, and what jl777 has been building since 2015. It is the thing that powers our atomic cross-chain swap protocol.

When you launch Agama you will also launch two other processes: Iguana daemon and Komodod daemon.

The name change was easy to make, as we had not even branded Iguana yet and there had not been any marketing. Our only users are you - the investors.

We will be branding Agama in the future.

Yes, it is a lizard

P.S. we will soon update our supernet homepage with more content and Iguana will be renamed to Agama.

How I access my REVS in Iguana/EasyDex if I don't have a wallet seed for them?   I have the private key for the BTCD address where I was holding BTCD during the snapshot, but I don't have a wallet seed besides that.

Login to Iguana with any seed

You can find the settings menu from upper right corner.

Settings -> Import Keys, and type the BTCD privatekey
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: March 20, 2017, 04:46:02 AM
in case of hard fork of bitcoin and split of the blockchain how the dPow algorithm will work?

We will use the chain with biggest hash-rate to get the best security.

Where Iguana wallet is stored under Windows?

%AppData%/Iguana

Is the new wallet would indicate the number of REV shares you have if you have bought BitcoinDark and have it exchange via ICO page of Komodo?

The new wallet has REVS in it, you can launch it in Basilisk Mode.

You should see your REVS balance if you have requested a payout/withdrawal from the ICO site. The REVS are sent together with KMD, and they both can be accessed with the same seed, so you can just add KMD & REVS in Basilisk Mode and you should see them.

You can also use the block explorer: revs.supernet.org (type in your KMD address, it uses the same address)

Cryptox.pl Bitcoin Refunds; no one will make a loss because of the bug

As most of you probably know there was an exploit in the KMD code that allowed an attacker to create illicit KMD in the network. This attack has been fully mitigated and was fixed. The only damage were the illicit KMD that were deposited to Cryptox.pl exchange by the hacker and subsequently sold there to profit from the hack. The Komodo team decided that they will refund the buyers of those illicit KMD as those never really existed. So all accounts that bought KMD from the hacker account, will have the KMD that they bought removed from their Cryptox.pl account and they can reach out to the KMD team to setup the Bitcoin refund.

If you were effected you will receive an email with further instructions.

We will make sure that no person will make a loss because of this hack.

Best Regards,
Komodo Team

I have send a message to jl. Also I send an e-mail to cryptox.
Hope this gets sorted out, cause both my BTC and KMD are gone at the moment...

You should have received an email from cryptox.pl

You can send your info to our email contact@komodoplatform.com

Is it difficult to set up and what are the costs for the service?

It isn't too hard to set up; can be done in relatively short time.

costs are really low, only Komodo tx fees.

However there might be some additional costs depending on who does the notarization. Someone might offer notarization services and charge some fee.
