481  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: May 31, 2017, 07:46:42 AM
I can really relate with what it is about earning online because now most times I am with my phone doing something on it and friends and family begin to wonder what joy do I derive from just pressing my phone but at the same time wonder how I have extra money to meets my needs considering the amount they know I am earning. I have earned quite an amount online ranging from gambling to mild trading then signaute campaigns among other bounties here and there.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best way to explain ICO to critics & potential investors on: May 30, 2017, 03:40:38 PM
Despite legitimacy with a white paper and all necessary documents, what is the easiest way to explain the benefits of ICOs to someone?

The best way is not to be lazy if you interested in any project whatsoever without having any knowledge other members of the forum will do the job for you all you just need to invest is your time in reading. The moment the thread is not self moderated, I am sure lots of comment from fellow developers to private investigators among like minded potential investors too will solve the whole issue and the moment the proposed developers cannot take the heat, flee.
483  Economy / Economics / Re: High volatility and sudden crashes will kill bitcoin, unless... on: May 29, 2017, 06:54:10 PM
The volatility of bitcoin is something that is not out of the ordinary for someone who is already involved like you and I and this is largely explained due to the growing nature of the coin. However, the central regulation is something that would definitely negate the fundamental principle for the establishment of bitcoin. I believe that in due time when the entrants stabilizes then volatility will also be minimise to a large extent.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DCORP Crowdsale - Democratizing Venture Capitalism on: May 29, 2017, 05:04:41 PM
I think what he is asking is very legit by going through it in a way not too diplomatic which is where I have the issues. I feel before the ICO is even started at all, the developers should have a list of things you want to do. Not that after we have finished the ICO then we started voting which most times will not even be unanimous because of several divergent views but if there is a path from the beigining anyone who will buy into the dream will do that without any cause for alarm.

Why do you dare to ask for 9 million? This is like Aragon?

I don't even think this project has any development done. Even then they need to vote to create applications. First development time then more development time...... At least 1 year if it is successful for investor to just see their investment back.
485  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first bitcoin bank! on: May 29, 2017, 04:50:06 PM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/global-digital-bank-wb-starts-accepting-bitcoin-deposits-1466103194/

According to this article it states that Digital bank WB21 announced that it has added Bitcoin as a method for its customers to transfer and deposit funds to their checking accounts. WB21 customers can now send Bitcoin to make real time account deposits in any of the 18 currencies supported by the bank.

This is the first time we will be having a bitcoin digital bank and as of now they are located at California, Switzerland and Hongkong.

Is this a good news or bad news, whats your say?

I feel its a good news after all simply because it still promotes the acceptability of bitcoin to other spheres of the society which will even make someone somewhere try to find out one thing or the other about bitcoin. However, I will want to read their terms and condition very well as it relates to the volatility of bitcoin before concluding whether its the right service to use at this point or its not another way to make some people richer that they already are.
486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Ecuador on: May 29, 2017, 04:22:46 PM

In 2014, all the cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin was banned by the government in Ecuador. This was followed by the introduction of the country’s own digital currency, the Dinero Electrónico.

However, defiant Bitcoin users still continued using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In fact, Bitcoin use in Ecuador has spiked due to the recent price rise.

Do you think that the Ecuador government will freely allow the use of Bitcoin as its popularity increases?

What most governments don't understand is the moment you ban something, you are actually creating additional awareness because those who have not even heard about it before will not decide and say " let me check this thing out " and when they do, they see the beauty which in the deal sense the government does not have the capacity to stop in terms of technology competencies among others. So in this case its either the Ecuador government fall in line or fall out of the way.
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UASF and signature campaings on: May 28, 2017, 07:02:58 PM
who cares about sig spammers income.
maybe they should care more about bitcoin and less about spamming posts for an income

trying to force something in where
only 30% of the nodes want to keep uptodate with the latest core software
https://bitnodes.21.co/nodes/ - Satoshi:0.14.1   (30.54%)

only 32% of pools want segwit
http://bitcoin.sipa.be/ver9-2k.png

and even on litecoin the pools are not even using segwit.. their blockrewards remain as L addresses not segwit 3 addresses.
discusfish(slush) - LajyQBeZaBA1NkZD...
litecoinpool.org - LTCPodKwHJoVsRJn...
givemecoins - LachGCFMERH3SbVB...
multipool.us - LTr4CoxaLaKLRn9x...

just goes to show how many are actually wanting to change

what should be don now is not make it mandatory activation.. but instead make a plan B. something the community can accept.
no more cludgy code of bad maths, temporary/empty gestures of hope and fake features.. but actual code that can actually do the job

most of these blockstream huggers have no clu how segwit even works after activation. and should have spent more time reading code and learning the reality of it and not just sig spammed for income their fake worship of wanting core as their god.

to: pereira4 &billy bob. no matter how much you kiss ass copying each others glossy images of pie charts and scripted out of context crap. most people care more about the code than your sig spamming wishes

If you have issues with those who are paid for signature campaigns you are right but you cannot totally condemn the fact that they are all spammers and whether you accept or not they are the ones that add colour to the forum because those that don't spam when they earn, they invest in projects upcoming there making the forum a place for investors to come in and at the same time spreading the news about the forum. Other btc forums have started up and no where to be found today not only because of signaute spammers, but they bring in other qualititative advantages as well.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Bitcoin Japan on: May 28, 2017, 03:12:16 PM
Is no one finding this kind of interesting, that Satoshi was allegedly was from Japan, that Japan has suddenly adopted Bitcoin, and now their airlines to will adopt. Could it be that Satoshi is some way effecting this, or that he is indeed alive out there. This just can't be a coincidence that the country where he is supposed to belong has taken such big initiatives, I just have feeling what if satoshi is indeed there and he's the one who's playing the rules, maybe it's just a passing thoght and not many will see eye to it, but give it some time i think it's something we all need to think on.
All this is what I referred to as conspiracy theory in my own way because its just basically picking of dots and trying to link it together whether Satoshi is from Japan or China, any country that will adopt bitcoin will adopt it. It high time we start believing that bitcoin has grown beyond the name of the founder and the adoption is basically on the advantages it offers and nothing related to the founder.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 BTC = 250x fees then you will remain with 0 BTC on: May 28, 2017, 11:47:06 AM
Wonder how many realize this. Basically you are feeding the whales.

At this time PayPal fees are cheaper  Roll Eyes

Based on this and other analysis I have read, I don't think the fees is way cheaper than bitcoin and aside that even if it is PayPal is cheaper, I would still prefer bitcoin than that simply because of the regulations around PayPal where scammers can exploit the most important is the reversible nature of transactions no matter the mode or form of transferring it. The issue we all face in bitcoin is getting the right amount of transaction fees in which wallet providers has failed us in recommending amount not enough to carry out such transaction.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small fortune, now which country ? on: May 28, 2017, 11:05:57 AM
Guys, i made a small fortune in altcoin/bitcoin. In which country should i settle ?
I have no wife, no kids, just a girlfriend, i´m free to go wherever i want (she´ll go with me).
But it has to be a bitcoin-friendly country.
I have no intention to buy lambos, just a peaceful life.
Thanks.

Oh, and my age is 53, that makes a difference too.

In all sincerity, at that age I don't want to be like you, because I would actually close to seeing my grand kids by that age. That being said, I would suggest Africa because cost of living is quite low but be careful to go with one where security is guaranteed and no one to start looking into your activities by the time they see you are a foreigner not going to work but just spending and living large which will mostly likely be beyond those around. Also, consider where your skill might be needed in other not to get bored staying at home all the time.
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Companies That Help Track Down Stolen Bitcoin? on: May 28, 2017, 10:03:35 AM
Are there any companies or individuals that help track down stolen bitcoins?  I had 40 BTC that I had on Blockchain stolen awhile back (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=269443.0), and was wondering if there are any people that will help out for a fee?

My humble suggestion "move on" simply because you don't expect someone to steal as much as that btc and still be kept in a wallet where it can be found considering that amount must have move from one account to several account, could have moved through several exchange site and most importantly mixing services where it could have been turned to a brand new btc without any trace whatsoever.
492  Economy / Economics / Re: Goodbye Adsense on: May 27, 2017, 07:10:29 PM
Its true that ,AdSense has been around for long but what I see is exploitation and sometimes it forces bloggers to just post rubbish or even fake news in other to increase traffic on their site and get some funds. Aside that, it has even turn site with content to something else where you can even read without ads disturbing you here and there. I think its a good one that you find another means of generating income online by that you don't have to be at the mercy of AdSense who could just ban your site for no tangible reason.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CEX.io vs Kraken on: May 26, 2017, 06:04:48 PM
I can buy Bitcoin on Kraken for 2466 $ and the selling price on CEX.io is 2640 $.

How is it possible that there's such a huge difference?

Can I just buy on Kraken and sell on CEX.io?

Just like it has been rightly stated to mean margin trading but you also need to be fast about it and do the calculations also putiing into consideration the amount of time of confirmations we have these days and even the transaction fees involved that by the end of the process which might run into hours due to factors beyond your control one can end up making loss and even be stuck with it leading to a waste of time and energy.
494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: May 26, 2017, 05:04:24 PM
Even some months ago bitcoin'a price was 600$ but it started to rise and everyone sees how it become 1300$, than 1-2 month ago we had a little fall and lowest price was 890$ but than it returned to it's 1200-1300 and continued to rise and rise and we see what we get in result, bitcoin's price is 2750$ currently. This is very high rise and what do you think guys, will we see fall from 2700 to 1000 or even to 600$ ? Can we to forget worries of price fall?
Nothing is impossible it could even fall below the $700 after all I did join around that time too. A testimony to that is in the past few days if anyone would have predicted that a crash to the $2400+ will happen quite a number of people will disagree and would stick to their position with several convincing reasons but it actually did happen. So, its very much possible but we hope it doesn't get that bad.
495  Economy / Economics / Re: Scaling of exchanges is also a problem on: May 26, 2017, 04:41:51 PM
Ok, everyone is fighting over block sizes and how Bitcoin should scale to match growth, but most people still use Bitcoin exchanges to buy Bitcoins

and if they drop the ball too, Bitcoin will fail. Most new Bitcoin users wants to buy bitcoins via centralized services like Coinbase. They are used to

banks and the protection it gives them. We have recently seen several of these exchanges crashing when we need them the most.

https://techcrunch.com/2017/05/25/coinbase-outage-unprecedented-bitcoin-interest/

We surely would have passed $3000 per bitcoin, if these exchanges were capable to handle the traffic and we would have been way past $5000

per bitcoin, if Bitcoin scaled. { slow transaction confirmation are chasing people away }  Angry Angry Angry

From what I have read there, I see no way its the fault of exchange sites why transactions are slow as even exchange sites are the ones monitoring the network for users in other to hasten up their waiting time. Its true that some exchange sites have failed us while some was born out of moral deficiencies others are as a result of attack but their contributions can also not be whisked away like a packed of cards because when we all patronise the established ones like the example you gave then I doubt if they can maintain the pressure.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to invest in long term on: May 26, 2017, 01:44:22 PM
What coins can be invested in 6-7 months? Waves are in my portfolio. what else may be ?

There are several coins you can lay your hands on and they have potentials as well but I will only like to add that you should be sure you are taking the decision on your own rather than been pushed towards it or influenced towards it because if the outcome is the opposite of what you had in mind, you bear the loss all alone and no one to be a partaker in it.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ZCL back to 40k sats? X2 easy money opportunity? on: May 26, 2017, 01:15:11 PM
I bought into ZCL shortly after the hardfork that happened, does anyone think that ZCL can make it back to 40k sats? Seems like not much talk about this coin as of late and if it does reach 40k which historically looks very doable, would be an easy x2, could even go x3 in my opinion.

If there is any coin I have my eyes on, its ZCL but the issue I have discovered is that, the price is too erratic one day its high, the other day back to the low end without any tangible reason to back it up. But activities may not be high here but you can visit the ANN thread but the slack channel is much more active which you can equally get a link on the ANN thread as well.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [RLC] iExec Speculation on: May 26, 2017, 12:45:11 PM

Signature bounty sells their RLC, whales pressures the price down to buy it cheaper.

When weak hands will gone, with project progression, price will be very interesting for serious investors.

Right + Looks like 99% of dumpers never read the ann text  Cheesy

"...iEx.ec is a spin-off company from the INRIA research institute.."
"...accelerated  by the SEM X-elerator from the prestigious Tsinghua University..."

...

Hold!
This is one of the challenges new projects face especially those that pay bounty hunters with their tokens. They hunt and immediately they are paid, they dump because they never believed in the project in the first instance just work and get out and these same people will still come and castigate the project to be a shit one without knowing that they contributed to it in no small way.

500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SegWit by Sept - Buy BTC Now!!! on: May 22, 2017, 02:42:12 PM
I had earlier thought this discussion had been put to rest not until now again. But the issue is that everybody agrees that there is need for something to be done concerning the issue of bitcoin transaction fees and and delay time and if this will solve it then so be it but carefulness needs to be exercise in other not to create another problem from trying to solve one here. I am not a techy savvy to understand the technicalities all I want is my low fees and transaction time should be returned to the good old days.
