481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][STD] StandardCoin - BUILT-IN EXCHANGE - Permanently Rising Rate on: April 05, 2014, 10:53:29 PM
This STD Address is now associated with this BTC adress:
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Deposit any amount of STD to that address to sell. You will receive your BTC immediately after sending the payment. Remember that the minimum BTC payment is: 0.001

It does state BOTH, ANY amount.  There should be a warning to check what your STDs are worth before doing this.  Thinking that over 6000 STD had to be worth at least .001 BTC I did it without checking.  There should be a warning about the minimum STD to deposit!!!

If I understand correctly. The SSP is always higher than the GER. Its best rate against GER is: SSP = 4 x GER, and this will only happen when all 400,000,000 STD are in store. So you can't make any profit doing this.
Yes, you are correct. The SSP best rate is 4 x GER when all coins are dumped to the store. At this situation, new investors and IPO investors are investing at the same ROI.

Ok, so let's do the math:
1. ger=amc/mmc  --> amc=ger*mmc
2. ssp=4*((ger*mmc)/sstd)
So the current store selling prize is about 32 satoshis. Right?

This coin will never work. When the "value" drops against BTC simply trading halts. There will be no buyers. How stupid of an idea is that.
Yes, trading may hold if there are no buyers. But with this coin, at least you know your coin worth some value. With other coins, when there is no buyer, you simply lose all you investment.
For example, right now IPO investors and first round investors can sell back there coins and get back 1/4 of their investment at any time no matter if there is any new buyer or not. And I think there is no reason for them to do that as they can just keep their coins and wait for the GER to rise. This will help create huge buy support. But as time when by and there is no buy support left, people can just dump their coins and get out. When they dump at the GER on the built-in exchange, it will allow new investors to buy in at a lower price, this will create new support. For more details, visit our homepage at: http://standardcoin.net/

Just 1/4?
I thought the prize will never drop!

The buy back price will never drop, it's called "Guaranteed Exchange Rate" (GER).
But the selling price may drop if coins are dumped to the store (Easier for new investors to get in). It's call "Store Selling Price (SSP).
Please take a look at the formulas on the homepage: https://standardcoin.net/

Thank you, I read it. So if I dump my 1.5 million IPO coins (which I haven't got so far!) at GER the SSP will necessarily drop. Then I buy at the lower SSP and so on. Sounds like the perfect "perpetuum mobile".

As 2 idiots have been abusing the trust system and have given the DEV a negative trust before he was even able to proof himself I think it is only fair that the people that have received their STD from the IPO (like me) give the DEV a positive trust rating so he has no longer the big red warning letters. He is clearly not a scammer. He got so much shit from some of the idiots here, he could have run away with all the BTC but he did the opposite and delivered a great system and exchange for a very promising coin.

Good job DEV

What about the people who didn't get their IPO coins, like me? I think they have a good reason to  be angry!
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][STD] StandardCoin - BUILT-IN EXCHANGE - Permanently Rising Rate on: April 05, 2014, 01:42:41 PM
So have people actually revieved their IPO coins?  Is this going to be added to other traditional exhanges or is this coin going to use it's own
exchange exclusively?

No coins so far.  Angry

only wait?

There's nothing else you can do. Hope slowly fading away though.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [JUST LAUNCHED][STD] StandardCoin - Anti Pump And Dump - Permanently Rising Rate on: April 04, 2014, 12:12:28 AM
it's been 12 hrs since the devs last response.
any updates? you asked that we give you 24 hours additional to get the exchange up which would of been 3 almost 4 hours ago...

No updates and still no coins. Sad!
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [JUST LAUNCHED][STD] StandardCoin - Anti Pump And Dump - Permanently Rising Rate on: April 03, 2014, 07:17:46 PM
anything good happening with this coin or what?

It will never do down in value!!!  It should be ViagraCoin because it has a Permanently Rising Rate

doesn't that only last for 4 hours? Contact a doctor if it lasts for more than 24...

Just to let you know: People who participated in the IPO already lost 75% of their investment. Congratulations.

Looks like 100%. Still got no coins. Huh

Btw: On https://std.mining4all.eu/ difficulty is now below 1, it was 30 on March 26th. That's what I call "destroyed faith".

Someone got a nice little payday from StandardCoin, but I don't think it was the people who paid into the IPO!!

8000$ for a simple website and a modified BTC wallet. Not bad!

To sync wallet, enter addnode=192.241.153.178 into standardcoin.conf in C:\Users\[your windows username]\AppData\Roaming\Standardcoin" - they really should have included that in the download.

I just tried to sell coins in the exchange (it's after 4pm now), and it says my wallet address is invalid.  I have the wallet running, synced, and have coins in it.

Thanks for the hint. This node was added from the beginning, but still no coins.
In a previous post standardcoin let us know that due to technical problems the start of the exchange will be delayed by 24 hours.
Just another scam?

minderd doesn't work with ubuntu 13.10. I got "Stratum connection failed: Failed connect to stratum01.heavycoinpool.com:3333; Connection refused"
My command line was "sudo ./minerd -a heavy -v 512 -o stratum+tcp://stratum01.heavycoinpool.com:3333 -u Rainer4256.Rainer4256_1 -p xxxxx"
Any ideas? Thank you!

I'd say buy bitcoins. As long as they're 400 usd-ish you'll
profit -lots- when the price goes up again.
It might be 300 dollars thrown in the sea, but it might
spike to -huge- profits. Investing is taking a risk, but I'd
do it.
Best of luck!

Exactly!

Funny, but I actually have free energy but not enough money to buy a 2 TH/s machine. So , if the electricity is free which currency should I invest in ? I want to start mining with my cpu /gpu or even upgrade to a better gpu and start making some tangible money.

Thank you.

P.S. I've been using the doge profit calculator and it says that I should make 130$ a day with a 30GH/s rig , which I could get at 300$ so why wouldn't it be profitable ?

I was talking about bitcoin. If you are interested in the math behind it I can help you. Hint: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geometric_series
Always think of the mining difficulty increasing every 10 days by about 20%.
