481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to go crazy again once Bitcoin reaches 20k? on: October 29, 2019, 09:55:31 AM
Is it possible that we see another altcoin season, if Bitcoin breaches the all-time high and go above 20k? Do you find a direct correlation?

The altcoin season will arrive when Bitcoin has already hit the all-time high and is about to go on a correction. That is the perfect time for altcoins to soar really high. That can be explained because when Bitcoin is bullish it is inevitable for altcoin holders to sell their coins for Bitcoin. But when Bitcoin has already reached record highs it is normal also for people to use their expensive Bitcoin to buy the cheap altcoins, and also to avoid the correction. This is the reason why altcoins will soar next to Bitcoin.
482  Other / Archival / Re: McAfee Dex? No! on: October 29, 2019, 09:33:17 AM
his interviews getting more and more absurd

In my opinion, this is his goal - to bring his image to the absurd. And by the way it works well - the guy is not poor to put it mildly. I've been more just was wondering how safe will be the exchange of this security guru, huh?.. Huh

He simply likes it this way. He loves that he is weird. The man has a lot of hollow words to say though. But apart from that, he is very much likable in his strong support for Bitcoin, his battle against the old traditional system, his enlightening words against the government, etc. Its just that sometimes he loves exaggeration too much.

I still have not checked his DEX. I'm already satisfied with the exchanges that I am using as of this time. But I guess this man's DEX, if indeed this is his, is going to have the kind of security that the McAfee security company is offering. What kind is that depends on your experience. lol.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you explain the recent surge in Bitcoin price? on: October 29, 2019, 09:02:19 AM
Many say this is a reaction after the Chinese government issued a policy to adopt Blockchain technology and would legalize Cryptocurrency in their countries. I believe this is the beginning for each country will also follow the steps taken by the Chinese government and of course will make the price of Bitcoin will increase dramatically.

The price increase may be a reaction but it is not only influenced by a single factor. The Bitcoin market is big enough and multi-faceted enough that a single statement coming from the president of china is enough for it to rise. And considering that the president did not specify Bitcoin, did not even mention it in his announcement. The increasing Bitcoin price is probably a mixture of rising market, a good outlook, and the coincidental statement of the president of china.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you guys think about this 2 alts? on: October 29, 2019, 08:40:39 AM
Xtrabytes and Safex?

Don't risk with these two coins. When I checked Xtrabytes in coinmarketcap, what I saw is a shady coin with incomplete data. What is most interesting to me is that it has recorded a 6,399.65% ROI. I don't know how true is this. Safex is another interesting coin that records 1,689.40% ROI but it is still a shitcoin. Do not buy it. Its volume is even very low, less than 100$. This is enough to say no to it.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TAKE A BREAK! on: October 29, 2019, 08:16:07 AM
This is a good advice. Not many people would give me this advice. A lot of people would normally tell us to try one more time, to make it better the next time around, to be more careful in choosing the next project to invest or to promote, and so on. But perhaps you are right, take a little time to give yourself a nice break, away from the toxic projects and coins. But make sure that before you take a break, you sell all of those shitcoins you have and leave only the solid ones.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when a project fails you as abounty hunter or investor on: October 29, 2019, 07:52:34 AM
It is actually hard to pick up the pieces and start all over again. Most of the projects are scams. Even if you pick up the pieces, get back in a better shape, start looking for a better project, and promote it properly, you are still most likely to fail once more. Sometimes, it is your fault. Sometimes, it is not. And sometimes, after falling over and over again, and getting up and trying over and over again, it becomes tiring. Sometimes, you just have to give up and stop joining any of them.
487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: October 29, 2019, 04:32:17 AM
the best cryptocurrency exchange place in my opinion is a binance exchange place, there are already many who say this exchange place is very good and has guaranteed security and indeed this is the advantage of a binance exchange place that can be a favorite of many traders.

Currently Binance is not the number one exchange in terms of volume. But Binance is number one here in bitcointalk based on comments here. Majority of my friends too use Binance. The same reasons, security and reliability compared to the newer ones. BNB is also the most valuable of all exchange tokens.
Volume can be faked, but people's review will tell the truth. It is good in here when people feel doubted when want to use an exchanges, or maybe any sites related of crypto ask in here first. For me, what my favourite exchanges also Binance. Listed a lot of coins and tokens, have very good reputation, simple to use even we don't need to do KYC and can trade in Binance.
I often use Binance to trade because this is a very friendly exchange with all investors and the trading volume at this exchange is very high so there won't be too many liquidity problems. Currently, Binance has gained everyone trust and I believe that this exchange will continue to grow stronger in the near future because Binance only lists good projects.

In fact, in the top 10 exchanges at CMC there is usually no appearance of Binance and this is really funny. Hopefully, CMC will eliminate fake trading volumes so that investors can know exactly which exchanges are best.
Well, i think we can't blame CMC because they show what is actually happened although it is "fake volume". Maybe those exchanges only want to attract people so people their site. But i think people for now already know which have fake volume, or maybe real volume.  Or if they really doubt want to use the other exchanges or not, they can see people's review in here.

We can't blame coinmarketcap fully because the data on the trading volumes of the exchanges are not theirs to know and gather. But they could be stricter than they are right now and require trading platforms to prove that the volumes they are submitting are real volumes and not fake ones. CMC has to initiate something on this because this is getting rampant. CMC cannot just accept whatever volume data is submitted because if that is so a shitty exchange might suddenly submit that its 24-hour volume is reaching 1 trillion.
488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it necessary for a university to be registered from a government to issue... on: October 29, 2019, 04:08:14 AM
Is it necessary for a university to be registered from a government to issue a degree/diploma certificate? Or are there any governments who offer free registration of universities online?

I want to open a blockchain university which may offer master and graduation level courses for free

Everything should be registered. And not only registered, it should also be accredited by whatever agency that supervises your country's education system. If it is not, it will be useless for your future students to enroll there. By the time they need certification or authentication or whatever kind of proof or document to show that they really have studied and finished in this university online or offline, they will get nothing. In fact, they would be told that the school they are enrolled on is non-existent. But this will also depend on your country's laws.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Best to Safely Store Your Coins and ALTs! Bitcoin is treasure; Alts are too. on: October 29, 2019, 03:48:13 AM
Bitcoin and many altcoins are treasures. And the longer you HODL them the higher their value gets. Because of this, they should be stored and kept in the best way possible in terms of safety. There is no other wallet or storage safer than hardware wallet. In terms of the most trusted hardware wallets, Ledger and Trezor are the two ruling wallets. They have built a great reputation as the most secure hardware wallets for your cryptocurrencies. They are adding more and more altcoins to their compatible lists.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin's price is disappointing!!! on: October 29, 2019, 03:23:17 AM
Why Altcoin has not been priced where Bitcoin Stable has been in the same place for a long time.

Are you losing your patience now? If you are, get out of the kitchen right now as this may not be the hottest it can get. Or if you are looking for the better option, shift to Bitcoin now. Bitcoin is expected to break the 4-digit price anytime from now. And we all know the possibility when this happens. The altcoins might suffer more. The red in the alts will become stronger as the green candles in Bitcoin's charts will grow longer and longer.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to expect now? on: October 29, 2019, 02:57:00 AM
Should we expect a big dump this week ?

Nope. But expect a retracement of some degrees anytime after Bitcoin creates a higher price. But these are normal corrections that will not really go the distance. But if you are careful enough to observe the movements, you would be selling immediately after Bitcoin changes direction. Bitcoin is rising fast and will correct significantly as well, just like when it hit $10,000 three days ago. It went down in correction almost $1,000 after that.

For example, say you have a portfolio of 50% BTC and 50% LTC. You want the percentages to stay at those values. So, in order to keep them at those percentages, as the value of those assets change, you can periodically trade to reach those target allocations again. If BTC goes up to 60%, a rebalance would then sell BTC to bring it back down to 50%.
I read the article and the Rebalancing got me curious.
This kind of feature, the Rebalancing one is something like covered by some Bots? Like what was explained in the example(quoted one).
So if it's done by bots, how we can assure if the bot will perform it accurately? Because I'm a little bit afraid because maybe the bot will make mistake or any misconfiguration on your account settings/bot settings.

Bots are going to act strictly the way you set them up or configure them. They cannot act outside how you wanted them to act. This is both an advantage and disadvantage. Bots are not aware of what's happening around beyond their limited settings that is why they could be defeated and played with by manual traders. But it takes a lot of patience to play with bots. In the end, I prefer to do my thing manually and step by step rather than relying on bots.
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO and scammers on: October 29, 2019, 02:06:02 AM
Sometimes I see rules for staring "good" ICO and one of all paragraph - deanon of creators. But exist countries, in which crypticurrency has been banned and creators have a chance go to jail to 5+ years (examle, Ukraine (if project have a anonymous coin transfer/stablecoins)). If I dont write about myself, I am a scammer (thinked users of bitcointalk). If I write - Im will a convict. What to do?

Anonymity is good but if you are promoting a project which is also conducting an ICO, you cannot just hide behind a fake name or fake picture. You cannot do that because investors are looking at your background and capabilities. You are not Satoshi Nakamoto who is designing a project away from the public and does not even calling for generous benefactors and interested investors. Accountability is very important in a crypto project nowadays.
494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to take advantage BTC Pump and Dump in short period? on: October 28, 2019, 01:37:59 PM
How to take advantage BTC Pump and Dump in short period?

You have to know that there is no such thing as BTC pump and dump. It pumps in an organic way as it dumps similarly. There is no intentional pump and dump with Bitcoin, if that is what you mean. The strategy will always be buy low sell high. So if there is a dump, that means you buy and when there is a pump, that means you sell. As simple as that. If that sounds too complicated for some, there is always HODL. That is the simplest way to earn from Bitcoin.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bakkt’s Bitcoin Futures Volume Explodes 260% to Trade $11M in 24 Hours on: October 28, 2019, 01:06:14 PM
Bakkt’s Bitcoin Futures Volume Explodes 260% to Trade $11M in 24 Hours

Quote
According to data from Twitter-based monitoring resource Bakkt Volume Bot on Oct. 26, Bakkt traded 1,183 Bitcoin futures contracts, or 1,183 BTC ($11 million) on Friday.

Compared to just 331 contracts ($3.1 million) on Thursday, the increase in just 24 hours was 257%, dwarfing previous jumps, which themselves had resulted in all-time highs earlier in October.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bakkts-bitcoin-futures-volume-explodes-260-to-trade-11m-in-24-hours

Do you guys think though that since Bakkt has been having an all time high volume tradings, will the positive sentiments will spill to the alt market right now? I mean alt market needs some catalyst, so I'm thinking that this whole Bakkt entering the picture could push the price further and possible that it can have domino effect in the alts?

What are your thoughts about my theory?

Both ways are possible. It is possible that the altcoins will take the toll of a bullish Bitcoin. It is also possible that the altcoins will somehow gain the trust of investors as Bitcoin is gaining more of their trust as well. What is most likely to happen is that Bitcoin will continue dominating the market while reaching higher and higher price levels. And while this goes on, the altcoin market will be in red. But once the bullish rise of Bitcoin will stop and the correction will happen, the altcoins will do their own bullish growth.
496  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Life Worth Living? on: October 28, 2019, 12:43:31 PM
With the current situation we found ourselves, we woke up to sad news, we can't sleep with both eyes closed.

Disaster srikes
Loved one dies
Spouse is unfaithful
Your seriously ill
Life is unbearable

Can we really end it now?

You may end it now but think about it, if you do that, would that give you a much better life? No, because you already lost your one and only. Life is beautiful not in the absence of all those things that you mentioned. Life is beautiful in spite of all those. Those things are always around us. Can we avoid disasters, illness, betrayal in whatever kind, death of loved ones, and so many others? No, never in this life. The beauty of life is always found in between sorrows.

Are you saying suffering has no end,  are we cursed ? Pains and suffering is caused by the devil, are we in his territory you saying?

It has an end of course. Death may be considered bad for a lot of people but it sure is good in one way or another because it is the end of suffering. But while you breathe, you suffer. This is not paradise. We are banished to this place full of pain and suffering. But that does not mean there is no happiness either. Pain and suffering are very earthly characteristics of human existence which we cannot avoid. It is not caused by the devil. It is always there alongside life.
497  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Buyers Club on: October 28, 2019, 12:21:35 PM
It does not have to be a club. Everybody who is serious enough to build a treasure with Bitcoin will always set aside a tiny portion of his regular income to buy Bitcoin. And not just Bitcoin, it could be divided among solid altcoins as well. The better club is HODL club. Not everyone who buys Bitcoin is committed enough to HODL them for a long time. Many are emotional owners. They cannot HODL when the times are bad. HODL club is made up of stronger Bitcoin supporters.

Sure, I don't mean a club where people need to sign up. More like a board where people display their commitment by telling the rest of the world that they're investing in the long-term.

I'm not sure about pure HODL. If everyone just hodls, what happens to actual adoption? People should be spending at least a portion of what they buy every month to foster adoption, even if it's as little as buying a Cryptokittie or playing some other blockchain game.

I agree, thanks for reminding me that Bitcoin is money first before it is an investment.

This is a good idea. So how would the club members prove that they are regularly buying? I am thinking of a Wall Observer type of thread that just continuously grow and grow everyday where members are talking about Bitcoin's price and everything related to it. I can even see a lot of memes in there. And they have their World Observer caps too. They look cool.
498  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Buyers Club on: October 28, 2019, 11:58:53 AM
I've been tossing around the idea of starting a group of people who are committed to buying Bitcoin every month. Can be a small portion, like 5$, or however much people can afford (I suppose it would make sense to use higher amounts for fee reasons, though). I myself have set up a monthly wire transfer from my bank account to Coinbase and a recurring purchase of Bitcoin every 1st day of the month. This is really simple, and you keep investing and $-cost-averaging your BTC purchases.

Who's in?

It does not have to be a club. Everybody who is serious enough to build a treasure with Bitcoin will always set aside a tiny portion of his regular income to buy Bitcoin. And not just Bitcoin, it could be divided among solid altcoins as well. The better club is HODL club. Not everyone who buys Bitcoin is committed enough to HODL them for a long time. Many are emotional owners. They cannot HODL when the times are bad. HODL club is made up of stronger Bitcoin supporters.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet list for AltCoins <100+ AltCoins Covered> on: October 28, 2019, 10:57:03 AM
Hello Everyone, I see many of us face the problem of finding wallets for storing AltCoins that we trade. I am adding here the list of articles I have found for altcoins.

Will Keep on Adding/Editing this list When I find More Coins.

Nice job! Thank you for compiling such a list. There are always newbies who are asking about the best wallets to store their altcoins. Here is a nice and comprehensive list of altcoin wallets. But not only newbies, this list is also a great guide to old members here as well. But I can see that these are all mobile wallets. It would be better if you can also include in the future list the available desktop altcoin wallets. That would surely be a great addition.
500  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: "Maybe Is a Partial Store of Value" on: October 28, 2019, 10:33:28 AM
Bitcoin is partly a currency at the same time partly a store of value. Bitcoin has transformed into different things depending on the way people take it. Bitcoin is also viewed by others as securities at the same time a digital gold. Others treat Bitcoin as a speculative asset. After several years, Bitcoin has deviated a lot from the original Bitcoin according to the whitepaper of Satoshi Nakamoto. This is not totally bad for me for as long as it remains a currency more than any other.
