4801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does finding out who created Bitcoin matter? on: May 10, 2016, 03:25:30 PM
I don't really care too much about who created Bitcoin, but it might be interesting to see the full story behind it.
Would it really change something?
4802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much do you earn from referrals on gambling sites? on: May 10, 2016, 01:16:59 PM
I have tried promoting my referral link that I had on PrimeDice for a while in about a year ago but I wasn't so successful.
although I have gotten some referrals and they played a little dice in primdedice but the overall earning was not that good because the weren't active enough. I think I have earned less than 50000 satoshi in total.
Similar with me, I've recently had one referral that spent more than 1 Bitcoin and that earned me a little bit, but sadly not many people that keep on playing.
I have only been using the refrral link in my signature, so any earnings are just a nice bonus Smiley
4803  Economy / Gambling discussion / How much do you earn from referrals on gambling sites? on: May 10, 2016, 10:32:45 AM
I would like to see how much people have earned by promoting a casino affiliate/referral link here on the forum or in other places. I've recently gotten some referrals through my signature link and earned around 0.007 BTC through it, not much, but I'm sure there are people who've been luckier than me.

If you have any success stories or good strategies, please share!
4804  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin in the hotel on: May 10, 2016, 10:12:05 AM
That's a great idea, and adding a discount for Bitcoin payments would certainly attract some customers. If this happens before the summer, I might even include it in my holiday planning.
It would even be better if you got the story out to some Bitcoin news sites, seems like some good free advertising Wink
4805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: May 10, 2016, 09:55:47 AM
Gamble smartly is not to chase the profits, but do it for fun. Gambling without fun is ridiculous.

If you want a fun game, plinko is a good suggestion.

plinko is sure very fun and can be quite addicted. however, i find it quite boring after a while cause i keep losing. but it is good to play once in a day.
The OP wants a smart way to play in gambling. I think he is really serious and he does imply about having fun. Maybe he just have to play with sports betting since their a lot of betting odds where he can find value.
Probably mentioned here already, but Poker would also be a goods option for this. Not saying you could instantly play as a pro, but even as an amateur it's still possible to play in a smart way and minimize the risk associated with it.
4806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the Videogames Industry on: May 09, 2016, 05:03:50 PM
Besides Kinguin, there's also G2A that's accepting Bitcoin, they've done this for a pretty long time.
And I think The Humble Bundle also accepts Bitcoin.
4807  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: List Of Exchanges on: May 09, 2016, 05:01:44 PM
The Bitcoin wiki also lists pretty much all the exchanges, though it might not be as handy to look through.

4808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is now a good time to buy and store Bitcoin? on: May 09, 2016, 02:05:13 PM
The price has been pretty stable for the last couple of months, so I think now would be the best time to buy some Bitcoins.
The price will almost certainly rise after the halving.
4809  Other / Off-topic / Re: I spent all my saving on bitcoin, now i am broke on: May 08, 2016, 08:12:22 PM
I don't know if it's really a good idea to use USB sticks for that, I would have made a paper wallet and laminated it.
You say you burried it? What if moisture reaches those USB sticks and they don't work anymore?

Not saying it's a bad idea to put your savings into Bitcoin, but I think you could have done it in a better way.
4810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do Bitcoin wallet GUI's look so basic? on: May 07, 2016, 12:07:30 PM
the core wallet does look a bit sh*t tbh, I get where this is coming from. Wouldn't hurt for it to have a GUI update and look a little sleeker
I don't think that the average person uses core, most people would opt for a lightweight wallet or use blockchain.info.
More advanced users don't tend to really care about the looks, as long as it's stable and does what it's supposed to do, they're happy.

There are a lot of wallets available that do have a pretty user interface, just take a look on https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet and you'll find a number of wallets that have pretty modern and good looking GUI's.
4811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There is no life in Gambling can you accept this....?? on: May 06, 2016, 09:10:42 PM
Well, if you're at a point where you've lost everything, it might be time to evaluate if it is smart to keep gambling.
4812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin on webcam sites ? on: May 05, 2016, 07:23:29 AM
I think it would be a good idea for people in that line of work to use Bitcoin since it could help then with staying anonymous. Perhaps sites that offer Bitcoin payments also take a smaller cut compared to when they use credit cards only.
4813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many of you can honestly profit playing poker? on: May 04, 2016, 10:04:59 PM
It would just take too much time to play enough to get that far, your whole life would revolve around poker, and that's not something I would want.
4814  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★Crypto-Games.net★ 8 coins ★ Since 2014 ★ ETH ★ Dice ★ Slot ★ BJ Contest★Lottery on: May 04, 2016, 03:06:23 PM
Sadly, but we received a lot of various threats and blackmails. Among those were multiple DDOS threats and recently a blackhat SEO threat with multiple bad reviews if we're not willing to cooperate.
Makes sense that everyone wants to make some money, but we're not prepaired to negotiate with this kind of people.
Yeah that's the best thing you can do in situations like that, I do hope you have made enough security precautions.
Anyway, it's good that you're open about these kind of things.

Good luck with that, and it might be benificial to check on leakforums etc, there might be a thread about it there..
4815  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best way to cashout your bitcoin now? on: May 04, 2016, 02:48:55 PM
The 'best' way is different for everyone, I consider the best way to be something with the least amount of hassle, that's why I use Bitonic.nl.
They charge a premium but I have my money in my bank account the same day (priority transaction)

But if you want less fees, I'd suggest localbitcoins or exchanges like Kraken (personal favourite)
4816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why isn't it popular to sell BTC by credit card? on: May 04, 2016, 02:46:53 PM
2.9% fees and you're calling that 'Not bad'? For me that's just too high to even bother looking into that.
And yeah chargebacks are a huge problem since Bitcoin transactions are not reversible, there's your reason why most companies wouldn't even bother.
4817  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to buy bitcoins on: May 04, 2016, 02:44:47 PM
I would really suggest you use Coinbase, that's the safest option in my opinion.
Though it isn't exactely cheap to buy Bitcoin with credit card.
4818  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cheapest way to buy bitcoin with visa card ? on: May 04, 2016, 02:43:23 PM
I think coinbase is indeed the cheapest, but compared to other payment methods you're definitely paying quite a lot of fees.
Virwox would also be an option, otherwise I do not know of many other places where you can buy Bitcoin with visa
4819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Value of bitcoins in your place! on: May 04, 2016, 02:41:52 PM
I use Bitonic.nl to buy and sell Bitcoin, but they do charge a premium for making the transactions as fast as possible.
I would currently get 383 euro for 1 Bitcoin Smiley
4820  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying stocks with Bitcoin on: May 04, 2016, 02:35:35 PM
I'm looking to make some actual profit out of the $50 in Bitcoin I have. Is there someone I can give my bitcoins to, and have them buy and sell the stocks for me, and take a small cut for themselves?
You are opening yourself up for scammers, I would just learn and experiment by myself instead of giving other people money to do this for me.
And I don't think it's currently possible to buy stocks directly with Bitcoins, like other have said before me.

50 dollars is also not that much, I would save up a bit more to start trading stocks, you could invest in some altcoins alternatively
