4801  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Affiliate Marketing For Bitcoins? on: June 22, 2020, 08:21:25 AM
I know that this has been mentioned, but I think the best option is to be a gambling affiliate.

Yes, it's very difficult, but if you're a gambler, you can really make a killing out of it. I remember one thread in the Gambling discussion board and he says he makes good money out of it. However, he put a his own website give tips and tricks to gamblers and then included his affiliate links. Best of luck!
4802  Economy / Economics / Re: Lives vs Economy -- sad truth on: June 21, 2020, 11:22:55 PM
As we are dealing with the pandemic, the virus disease is prone to old citizens they have a weaker immune system than an average person and young adults although we also have a lot of cases of them too but there are more people who ages 40+ in the tallied cases. The sad truth is that some of them are not getting attention from the hospitals, why? because they prioritize a person based on its age, why? because it would be more worthy if you save a productive person over an old and weak person. The government is really doing this for the economy in the future days.

We really have to deal with deaths, it is part of living  Cry

Hmm, do you have any links or proofs though? It doesn't make sense for hospital to prioritised, at least that's what we think of. Maybe the pandemic has really change how they perceived or prioritise on how to save or not? But again, it doesn't really makes a lot of sense to me and hospitals/doctors/nurse are going against their sworn oath? I'm still baffle though and I hope that this is completely false.

Breaking news
Adria tour tennis tournament final canceled.
Tennis player Dimitrov have coronavirus.

It seems that this tournament came too soon after all.

Djokovic and other tennis players are worried.

Ouch, this is going to put a setback to tennis games, obviously, organisers and other people behind are trying to get up and move in this pandemic and get tennis going again. But with this news, I'm sure that not only Djokovic and other tennis players are worried, but fans as well.

I can't blame Dimitrov though, maybe he as asymptomatic that's why he did play in the tournament (not sure though if they have pre-testing). But definitely, this is not the news that we wanted to hear.
4804  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to trade Bitcoin Bear Trap or Reversal on: June 21, 2020, 09:59:32 PM
Why not instead of giving us out side link, you tell us the 'secret sauce'? It's pretty obvious that you are trying to promote something here in this community, and usually members doesn't like this kind of shady method. The best advise is just simply buy low, sell high, no need to make things complicated in trading cryptocurrencies.
It is obvious that they are indirectly promoting their own service and website through this post, looks like they offer crypto trading training service which is paid and they want to market that here.

Yes, this community is really a big market for other services to promote their platform, but at least don't mislead crypto traders.

Regarding your comment of buy low sell high, yes it works for longterm only and perhaps suits largely to btc trading as btc is considered to move in market cycles like one bullish wave and then one bearish wave but these waves can last multiple years, so yes if you buy from bear cycle and sell during bull cycle you can make decent profit but a lot of patience is required to do it and it is more like hodler strategy not active trading.

Ok, it may not be easy as it sounds like, the 'buy low, sell high', but it is very effective specially if you are a active trader, or even a complete beginner can understand it. And then probably work his/her way around in a bearish/bullish cycle. It is also effective if you are a day trader, as the price swing will be favourable if you know how to take advantage of that philosophy.
4805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 and its impact? on: June 21, 2020, 09:26:45 PM
As I have already posted somewhere that Ethereum 2.0 is going to launch its phase 0 this year and phase 1 during the next year. I have the expectation that launch of the ethereum POS system will bring many positive changes and its price will hike much more than expected.

There's really a lot of hype regarding this ETH2.0, specially the staking thingy, the only question is that if they can really make it to the July schedule as it has been pushed many times alrady.

So what do you have in your mind, how much price will hike?
When do you think it will be a good time to invest - I think, now is a good time, Price will hike as before its launch.

[Purpose of this thread will purely for ether price analysis. Hopefully, because of this thread, someone makes a profit by investing in ether.]

Definitely, ETH is like the second coin behind BTC and with new development the price could take off again. But I'm not seeing any ATH though, not yet, probably the target goal should be $500 at least at the end of the year if everything goes smoothly as planned.
4806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess on Sports/eSports betting on: June 20, 2020, 10:42:07 PM
Well, chess has it's last renaissance during the 70's with Kasparov and Karpov, I still remember it being played in the streets as sort of past time that time and then evolved as being used to 'hussle', like 3 card monte.

But I would agree that the game is somewhat boring and bettors are looking for exciting game specially with the physical aspect (contact sports). So I doubt it will have the support specially at today's time wherein football, UFC, basketball is the top pick for sports bettor.
4807  Economy / Economics / Re: world war 3 is coming ...do to coronavirus / economy ... on: June 20, 2020, 10:13:10 PM
Not to add fuel to the fire to the OP, but why ICBM though? The war has already started in all fronts, cyber attacks? Less manpower but the effect is the same? hackers can cripple the target even their economy? We also have the trade 'war' between US and China already.

And I don't think that China and India are going to war, I'm sure that they are gong to diplomatic channels. And if that fails, to world governing bodies like United Nations. Unless some rogue nations (North Korea) throw the first shot.

4809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HAS THE 2020 BITCOIN HALVING LIVED UP TO ITS EXPECTATION? on: June 20, 2020, 12:27:31 PM
Bitcoin halving is basically Bitcoin halved to allow cryptocurrency mining to produce 50% of its global existing value.
It always happens every four years. This year in 2020, a historic moment occurred on May 12, which helped reduce the mining reward from 12.5 BTC to 6.25 blocks. Interestingly, traders and miners have adapted themselves to the new reality that bitcoin production restrictions may be the world's most valuable global priceless virtual currency. If you look at the trend of halving before, it will cause an astronomical increase in prices, which will translate to huge market fluctuations in other digital currencies including Bitcoin.

It can't be felt right away, we are just barely months from the last halving. The effect should be in years to come. Last halving was 2016 and after more than a year, it reaches all time high in 2017, that is the history. So for this year, it might take some time before we can see another huge gain culminating to a new all time high.

According to our observations, this year’s halving of bitcoin hoccurred in the global economic collapse brought about by the terrible Covid 19 pandemic. Even so, key experts believe that bitcoin is taking on global security assets and Important value reserve.

We already bounce back, we more than double the last lower low due to the pandemic scare. So it just shows how resilient bitcoin is. The only thing we can do is wait for it to move, might take years though, so patience is the key here.
4810  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Free 0.05btc from this website on: June 20, 2020, 11:31:41 AM
Yeah, seen this kind of scams many times and I think the best thing for us to do is report this kind of sites to google: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en.

This will not be a battle that we have to go thru everyday, it will just take a few minutes of our time to report this. Of course, scammers will just create a similar sites in the future, but at least we help clean up the space specially for beginners.
4811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Provocative Film About Satoshi Nakomoto Was Funded By Cryptocurrency on: June 20, 2020, 11:04:32 AM
Without a doubt, it will create controversies among crypto enthusiasts. The film director said that they made a lot of research. I wonder where they got the idea that the love interest of Satoshi is a transgender woman? Is it even near the truth or they just create this personal life of Satoshi to make it more interesting?

And that is the main goal of this kind of movie, create controversies, stir a lot of discussions to most forums, no coiners are going to get curious, good for crypto enthusiast, win-win situation. As the saying goes, negative or positive publicity, is still 'good publicity.

But for those who have been in the space for many years, the Satoshi myth is legendary, and as such, we may have wanted to remain like that.
4812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CoinGecko Most Searched Assets on: June 20, 2020, 10:21:31 AM
It is interesting that some rather small coins actually appear here. I am just a bit surprised that top coins that altough have a huge market cap like Dash and Binance do not appear here

Yeah, been using coingecko for a while now, but I haven't seen this numbers before. Perhaps those small coins do have some followers because obviously, then can be pump and the potential to have huge profits is there.

@chip1994 - I'm not surprised by LTC though, they have been in the game for so long but there's no actual utility case, except being bitcoin's small brother and most of the time being use by gamblers as an option.
4813  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 20-Year-Old Robinhood Customer Dies By Suicide After Seeing A $730,000 Negative on: June 20, 2020, 05:23:16 AM
Can Robinhood though has some liability here? It seems that the victim saw negative balance but the article it is just temporary but this could have triggered everything. If Robinhood display it real-time, this could have been avoided?

Don't get me wrong, this is tragic and everything. But how did he not dig into his transactions at all and realize the option expiration and stock settlement don't occur at the same time?

How do you just look at a cash balance on your screen and decide to kill yourself? Shocked

Maybe call support first and ask why you're account is down $730K (when the max risk of that structure was probably $1-2K).....

We can only speculate, we don't know what the kid is thinking. You have to factor in that he is still very young, he could be trading thousands of dollars one time, but would you react at 20 years of age to see that you debt? Maybe he didn't think clearly at that time and that's why he didn't call support and ask for details, maybe for him this is everything and he put the blame on himself, triggering emotional stress and the eventual collapse psychologically.
4814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: June 19, 2020, 10:47:22 PM
Now that Premier League football is back, I wonder what the statistics released in the following weeks will show about the number of bets being placed. Will it be in proportion to pre-COVID 19 patterns?

It will be interesting to see what the numbers are.

I will surmise that perhaps we will see growth as far as betting as compare to pre-COVID 19. My reasoning is that as fans as glued at home and watching their favourite teams, there is a big chance that most of them will go online and place their bet. I don't know if casino's are going to release that numbers though, be fiat or crypto based online operators.
4815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee 2020 Prediction on: June 19, 2020, 09:47:53 PM
I used to have a lot of respect for McAfee and his knowledge but the longer he's been in the crypto space the more I think he's a bit of a dunce. The guys just create and backs all sorts of shitcoins.  He's overly exuberant with his claims and is constantly saying crap that makes no sense.  He's more of a mascot these days than someone actually making things happpen.

He used to have this kind of respect, specially from 'computer' industry because of his big contributions to the development of 'anti-virus' software, but the guy is eccentric to begin with and seems to like to live the wild life and involved himself with 'violence'.

And when he goes full crypto, that's where he was really exposed, making claims and shilling for shitcoins and then comes the 'hate', LOL. Others call him influencer, but I doubt, he just shill for shitcoins that pay him good and then move on the next one. I guess it's time to really stop following this guy for good.

4818  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bloomberg: “Bitcoin will approach record high of about $20,000 this year” on: June 19, 2020, 09:21:13 AM
Everything is still possible to happen related to the growth of existing cryptocurrency such as the increase in Tether which is very great I guess, and related to the Bloomberg argument I think it also has a big chance to happen later this year because these arguments at least still make sense that remains normal growth lines are related to the situation that happened this year, because they usually analyze if growth will reach 100k or even more I think that analysis is very difficult to achieve especially market sentiment that is not always good and even difficult to cross the resistance line.

We can't really compare tether though, they just have to mint it (just like fiat) and balloon their marketcap. So obviously, it is very different as compare to BTC. Nothing against Bloomberg, but it seems they have their agenda behind with this prediction.

Is it good for the market? Probably, but then again they are just giving false hope, specially for beginners and it will not be positive experience for them if the market suddenly crashes this year or the prediction didn't get to $20k at the end of the year.
4819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 19, 2020, 06:56:00 AM
Crawford vs Pacquiao should be the best option for Manny if indeed it will be his last fight.

Or maybe Pacquiao vs Spence. Crawford  and Spence are the two undefeated champion that people could possibly match Manny, but why is it Manny calling GGG instead of these two? I'm a bit confuse here. Roll Eyes

Yeah, I agree.

1. Pacquiao vs Spence
2. Pacquaio vs Crawford

Manny is not calling GGG as far as I know, and the only boxer that I recall Manny calling is Floyd. And it's the other way around, boxers are calling Manny because of the sweepstakes, just like what Thurman got, biggest payday of his career.

And calling GGG is the brainchild of Roach, similar to when they call Oscar back then. Manny just say yes as a boxer.
4820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is More Popular Than Traditional Banks on: June 19, 2020, 06:33:32 AM
According to the cyber media Tokenist, based on the results of their survey not long ago. The survey involved 4,852 respondents from 17 countries. According to the survey the number of people who trust Bitcoin more than large banks, increased by 29 percent in the last three years. The survey also showed differences in the generation's views about Bitcoin and traditional banks. 51 percent of millennials trust Bitcoin more than traditional banks.

The word here is "Trust", of course many will because  as we have said, if you own bitcoin, you have total control of it. As compare to traditional banks wherein there are cases that you need to wait for 3 business days to be able to clear your money.

But we can't argue that banking system is still needed, even millennials, specially flashing those credit cards, Lol. And then again, this is just a 'survey', margin of error is still present and not to be taken seriously.
