4821  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a job!!!! on: August 17, 2021, 06:40:24 PM
If you read through my post I stated that I will send a resume of my skill-set and work experience to people who are verified employers or that can verify they have a legitimate job opening for me.

I don't think things go that way. you didn't even say which domain of work you were looking for. It indicates that your greatest skill is that you want to find a job, which is not exactly interesting to the employer.

For newbie it is hard to find a job in here. for getting a quality job, you must have to be at-least full member or sr.

that's not true. Even if you are a Newbie here, you can have some specific skills and be a senior developer. In that case, you won't have a problem finding a job here.

I could not find enough accurate information about BGL nodes and staking (or whatever). the same article is repeated on all media, some rewards to random nodes and etc...
Can someone explain what is there exactly, or point me to an explanatory link?
There are two incentive schemes for using BGL, node incentivization and transaction contest.

As for that incentivization/contest, you can take a look at OP #2 post or https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5238559.msg56777594#msg56777594

If I understood correctly, it’s kind of an airdrop for active members of the Bitgesell network, right?
Still don't understand about transaction contest. I cannot say that it is more clearly explained, nor the concept itself.

is there any way of passive except mining income here or was there any benefit from running a node or holding a BGL coin in the wallet?
4824  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Guide on bitcointalk on: August 17, 2021, 02:07:42 PM
Not sure he's a real rookie.

From the initial post he knows all about Altcoins, projects, blocks and investors, newbies visiting from 0 don't know about this.

Altcoins have lost its value in recent times with many block chain being permissionless. May at times projects are being promoted with the notion that notable programers, technologists are behind such projects. Sooner than later it'd be discovered that most names are just published to lure innocent investors.

OP, are you pretending to ask, you should have read all the topics in the beginners & Help section.

there are hundreds of the same questions in the beginners & Help section.

experienced members from the forum usually try to hunt merits in the Beginners & Help section, useful posts or posts where the desire for knowledge is expressed have a much better chance of getting some merit, rather than any "proof of auth" post.
yet I think that in this case, the OP is just too young, and he's just not sure how to behave here.
4825  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Forum Software on: August 17, 2021, 08:00:02 AM
in the end, is a new forum really needed?

Well... this is indeed debatable.
The fact that we, the older members here, will most probably not switch, that's pretty much clear. We, those who are already here, most probably don't need another forum.
But while as bitcoiners we are advocating decentralization, let's not "force" everybody in one forum, since it can easily become one central point of failure.
While other forums can never get near to what bitcointalk is, let them be.

But the fact that what OP is advertising is far from a proper forum makes it... not a good choice. Also advertising it here won't help him.

I would look it through, problem - solution. so if there is a problem here that most users feel and someone like OP offers a solution to this or a significant improvement, then such a change is welcome. but to make something that is the same or similar to an already existing solution, I see no purpose.
OP didn’t say what that would set his forum apart and get us to use it.
4826  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Guide on bitcointalk on: August 17, 2021, 06:20:41 AM
Hello everyone

I am a newbie here and I don't really seem to understand the environment so well. Can anyone help me with brief guides especially on the DOs and DON'Ts. I'll gladly appreciate it.

Guides are so simple. Don't do anything which you would not do in real life. Do whatever you can do in real life, the same rules are here and there.
as in your environment, good manners and a fair attitude will be recognized, while disrespect and a bad relationship will not bring you much here.
4827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 17, 2021, 06:04:56 AM

If the goal is to win the title, Manchester City has no choice but to hire a skilled striker. In the first match, we saw that their forward lineup is not that much good. Such a forward lineup will not be very effective against strong teams. They definitely need a skilled and talented striker in the team like Mbappe or Kane.

In the previous season, they played without a classic striker. Aguero was injured for a good part of the season, and they won without him. Wins PL and playing CL final are certainly good results.
btw. Tell me, which team does no need a skilled and talented striker? which team would say no to Mbappe or Kane?
4828  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Watford FC Main Partner - UFC Betting Partner - $1M Race II ⚽ 🥊 on: August 17, 2021, 05:54:40 AM

I have to say this Watford that we watched looks so much different than the Watford we last saw in premier league. I am sure they are going to stay this season, we can't possibly know the future so they may not have a great season, it was just one game. However it is obvious that it is a different team, we could at least say that, it is definitely a different team and that is why I honestly believe that they could end up at mid table easily this season if they play this way for every games in the future.

Stake did a real good job by getting them, sportsbet.io faced the worst parts of them, but now they are gone and the good parts are taken over by stake, it is really a smart move and I believe that it is one that both stake and Watford could benefit together, Watford financially and stake in recognition as well which is the whole reason for marketing anyway.

from my way of seeing Watford FC is not strong, they lost against crystal palace in friendly game, then they drew against stevenage in friendly game too, but they beat aston villa by 3 - 2, we could say they are strong and can stay in the premier league this time? i don't think i'm convinced they can get above the last 4 places in the premier league unless of course watford can win the next 5 games or at least he can win 3 games and draw 2 games to convince me they can stay in the 4 last places in the premier league. however the fact that they are back at the premier leegue brings a lot of exposure to Stake.com

I was concerned during the pre-season but friendlies usually don't tell the whole picture. Watford looked so dominant in the Aston Villa game, with 7 shots on target versus Villa's 2. There is no doubt that they are the underdogs of the league but so far so good.

I didn't follow Watford and their performance enough in pre-season friendly games, but such oscillations often occur with returnees to the elite. for now, all that matters is that they collect points.
After the last two solid seasons, I would also not be surprised if the Villa were within the relegation zone.

This is a section for Bitcoin payment services, I'm not sure that Stratis fans coming here. you might still try on the official Strat ANN thread | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS.
Although there is not much activity there, I think you have a better chance of solving your problem there.
4830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 16, 2021, 12:39:53 PM
Pretty embarrassing for Pep that they can't even beat Spurs without Kane. Only 5 people backed the home win which isn't surprising. I was expecting City to run away with the league this season but maybe not now, which is always a good thing. Will be interesting to see is Coutinho or Mbappe end up in the PL. Liverpool seem to be interested in both. Will be interesting to see how PSG justify being able to have all their players on the books.

it's just the first round and one game played, this result still shows nothing. most City players had responsibilities in national teams. many of them have just returned from vacation certainly this is not what should be expected of them during the season.
although they have been playing the same way for years, surely the other teams will adjust the strategy against them and make them a lot of complications. it will not be easy.

I think Liverpool will never buy someone expensive as Mbappe, and one of their best deals is selling Coutinho to Barca and I see no reason to get back them. plus it's at a much worse level with their performance.
4831  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Forum Software on: August 16, 2021, 10:48:36 AM
You want a new forum?

Actually... we may just want a different look for this forum.
As said, it'll be difficult to beat Bitcointalk. It has history, it has great info stored in it and it has great and helpful members. What does your forum have? And if you'll tell me that you have nothing, but it's better packed that's not enough.

Sorry if I'm too harsh, but I've took a quick look there and:
1. The topics are about... anything. And it's not really structured.
2. It looks more like blog posts with comments than a forum. And the name also suggest this.

You seem to advertise a general purpose blogging platform as crypto forum... here. Ummm... no. That won't work.

in the end, is a new forum really needed?
next to Bitcointalk (which is very hard to reach), there are several others Altcoinstalk, cryptotalk who have been building a position for years and they spent a lot of money in them.
I wonder what the new forum can offer, and why users would move there? a forum without users and without quality discussions is a complete failure. I think that so many forums arise only from the lack of quality ideas.
4832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 14, 2021, 05:40:19 AM
What a way yp kick off the English premier league....Arsenal lost their first game of the season 2-0, it's a bummer. I was expecting some counter from the arsenal side, well maybe its just beginner bad luck. Arsenal fans aren't supposed to be surprised btw they should be used to being disappointed by their club by now.
Both Arteta and Kreonke ought to leave Arsenal for the betterment of the club, imagine loosing to a new promoted side with two unreplied goals that's a big embarrassed for Arsenal, the only thing left is the name of the club Arsenal, the players and coaches there are no difference to championship clubs

It is a bad result for Arsenal indeed but it does not mean that it is a mistake from the manager only. The current situation of Arsenal is not really good because they have some injured players, manager has no other choices to play with less experienced players especially for the striker position. I also see that there is no good moves from the Arsenal management in the window transfer, they did not try to improve the squad with more talented players. I guess they have less budget than other team so they cant sign great players. All in all, Arsenal fans should not blame the coach/manager only as it is really a hard work for Arteta to compete in EPL with the existing squad which is not really competitive compared to other EPL big teams.

how much I follow the Premier League, and I've been doing it for a long time, this is the worst Arsenal I have ever watched. Nothing good here, neither the players nor the manager. without Lacazette and Aubameyang, I don't see how they can score a goal. Only maybe two, three players belong to this level of the game, everyone else is far below average.
Plus, they looked like they didn’t know each other at all and like they first met. which is certainly the fault of the manager.

when I just remember, Arsenal fans were asking Wenger to leave the club, and then they were Bayern Munich compared to this now.
4833  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: August 14, 2021, 05:29:46 AM
I always wondered if anyone had ever done an analysis of the effect of a signature campaign. yes, some brands have definitely become much more recognizable because of sig. campaign, these are mostly those campaigns that have lasted or last for a long period.
I've seen a lot of campaigns that last only a couple of weeks or less, whether it is possible to make some results in such a short time? especially if we know that most influential posters have already been in long therm campaign, it is probably quite difficult to find quality-visible posters for a two-week campaign.

I would really like to see an honest experience of the signature campaigns from the owner or campaign managers. What are the effects and what improvement of business has resulted from it?

4836  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Unit Converter:🔁Convert satoshi, mBTC,Finney, bit to 170 fiat currency on: August 11, 2021, 01:14:27 PM
The good news is that I am on a discount program and the renew will.only costs 8.39 usd.  I will gladly pay that.

The problem is that to participate in the discount program I need to make a minimum deposit of 50 usd in btc.

I suggest you if it's not too much for you to renew immediately for 5 years using all that $50. it's a good price for your domain since it's a regular renew for .science domains around $24 per year.
Also, if it's too much for you, maybe we can ask Namesilo to move the rest of your deposited funds to my Namesilo account, I will send it back to you in BTC. I definitely have a lot of domains there that I have to extend, and I regularly send BTC/money there. (this is just an option)
4837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do someone's post remain active even when he has been banned from the forum on: August 10, 2021, 10:56:41 PM
Deleted posts won't disappear forever, without any trace. It will still be stored in forum data base and of course there are third party data scrapers will store deleted posts.

Deleted posts are at first just hidden from public view. To steal the ID from such a post, the deleted post is given a new ID. The deleted spam post in this case now has ID 57394364.

After about a year, deleted posts are moved off of the live database and into an archive database, and no longer occupy their original message ID in the live database. After about another year, deleted posts are deleted from the archive database as well, though they will probably still exist in offline backups.

even better is that we have two independent services/websites which collect all the changes and screenshots of all posts even if they are deleted.
by LoyceV https://loyce.club
and TryNinja https://ninjastic.space

it certainly needs almost all posts except spam to be held as evidence

@hilariousandco I have some serious complications offline, I’m not here enough, and I’m often not next to my wallet. I hope I'm not late with my entry.

Sportstbet did say they'd be the chance to win free shirts on certain games.
Speaking of Free shirts, how about an exclusive Prediction Contest @ Sportsbet.io: Arsenal + Southampton Prediction Contest (Southampton Jerseys!) for those who have paid for this season's Premier League pool  Cool

this is good. Can we expect in every round similar contest from there, something like you doing on Tenis tournaments (Roland Garos if I remember correctly)
4839  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Unit Converter:🔁Convert satoshi, mBTC,Finney, bit to 170 fiat currency on: August 10, 2021, 01:24:52 PM
Do you really have to pay name guard too? isn't it free? (you always can change administrator data on the domain, if you don't want to show up in public)

a cheap first year is not always a good solution  Cheesy Now you also learned a lesson, always check how much cost renewal of exotic domain extension.
anyway, you should need to be careful with the redemption period after the domain expiring.

I probably would have kept this domain, you already have a good base for backlinks and positions, you should not ignore it.
