4821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin trading. Where to start? on: April 22, 2020, 07:12:32 AM
Before you start margin trading, you need to understand the spot market.
But I dont think that it is how people who go rekt start off. Tongue
It happens to them like they are scrolling FaceAche and InstaHater (Grin) and then see this ad which tells them about getting 100x returns using bitcoin. Now this broke guy has heard of bitcoin and thinks this is my chance. So they click the link and sign up without even knowing that its called margin trading and basically a gambling, not spot trading.

And only when you yourself can correctly determine the direction of the market, you can try to take the minimum leverage. The most important thing is not to use the maximum leverage that reaches X100.
Of course for beginners 2x is enough. Even with that they are going to lose a lot of money before they can make any. So the trader needs to have enough cash at hand to tide over this time and also to keep liquidation of positions at bay.
4822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So many new cryptocurrency exchange now, Are they safe to trade? on: April 22, 2020, 07:06:45 AM
It is warning for the potential hack events and investors should avoid storing the cryptocurrencies on the online exchanges. The Mtgox case was the invaluable lesson, the Binance can be the second similar case. There is no "safe" in online world, unfortunately.
Binance is one of the biggest out there so they will likely be a target of hackers since the most popular ones attract to most attacks. But they are knowing about this from beforehand so likely they have some countermeasures in place. Of course if it is a insider job and the exchange decides to scam its users then there are people who can be sought after like the owner of Binance but still the ability to get back any amount on liquidation is grim. Because crypto is not regulated like that, in fact is completely unregulated still that all a common user can do.

It is say that dont store your coins on exchanges but what about those people who have buy or sell orders that have been at at certain points which are less likely to hit in the next few months?
4823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do some gamblers actually win? on: April 21, 2020, 06:30:41 AM
In my opinion, no one could win consistently yes even with skill based gambling. Because, for consistent winning you must have high level of discipline which may not be possible with an entertainment because there are plenty of chances for you to slip down somewhere when you are too excited about your entertainments.
No, to have a consistent winning you are right that it is almost impossible but the reason is wrong. The correct reason is that luck is also involved in a skill based game and that luck factor is enough to turn the tide of the game against your favor. So in the end it all seems like a dice roll does it not?

Actually sports betting and poker are games loved by many players so they bet on them and put in a lot of money there. They either do analysis on sports, learn poker and try to compete. They do win but not always. Every responsible gambler knows that and so they keep a limited amount to be spent on gambling only.
4824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to know whether it is right to join bounties? on: April 21, 2020, 06:24:42 AM
Hello friends, I want to know whether it is right to join bounties?
You are in a forum. Are you here to just make money in the form of worthless shitcoins or want to learn something about bitcoin, discuss about it and in doing so build a good posting quality which can help you earn something that is decent?

If you want to go for the first option then by all means start spamming in the bounty section though it has lost its prior glory days now. But if you are in the second one then you have work hard on getting to know this forum first.

Quote
I have seen many threads where people say that your account should be kept clean.
Clean in the sense that you remain honest and do not try to cheat a rewarding system by using unfair means. What are those unfair means?<just ask your conscience, which if you lack will not help you here.

Quote
Does the bounty task (Reporting) spoil posting history?
If you are making an account in this forum with the sole desire to spam bounty report then it is looked down upon. However you will not be punished for that.

Quote
Actually, I want to rank up my account and do some earning, Is it possible both can be done?
Yes and it will take time to develop good posting habits first.
4825  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Userfriendly Exchange in Cryto industry on: April 21, 2020, 06:17:44 AM
Just like others have said this will be your own perception and subjectivity as to what exchange is user-friendly. There is nothing called "best" here because every exchange has its pros and cons. You have to decide which one is best for you measuring the good and bad based on your trading habit and pattern.

If you like quick deposits and no hassles in withdraw then you have to search a lot of exchanges and try them before being able to settle onto one. Withdraw fees might seem like a big thing but the bigger problem is what support system they apply.

And stop that Binance shilling in the OP. They have their bad sides too, like asking for huge listing fees and getting called out for that and then giving them to charities to cover their bum.
4826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest winning so far on: April 20, 2020, 06:16:02 AM
That was normal, even before during the ancient time there was always greedy people.
Thats why gambling games have persisted and flourished through centuries. It is human nature to gamble and try their luck and stopping them from doing so only has a bad effect. Governments learnt how to monetize this and thus a nice symbiosis has happened.

Quote
You are right, the more time you spent in gambling the more chances of losing you have.
This is correct though. Dont put up an example of professional gamblers though. They are no longer gambling but only promoting casinos to get paid. The have become the house now.

Quote
It is good if you have content of what winning you had and come back when you are ready again to gamble.
Thats right. Being wise about your wins and not playing anymore is a correct choice. But few people can stop the urge to play again because the greed is strong inside them.

Quote
My biggest winning so far in gambling when I was accidentally won in betting site because of having wrong placing of my bet. I was so happy at that time.
I have heard such incidents before but most of them were losses, glad to hear that you had a win.
4827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to escape loss as an altcoin trader on: April 20, 2020, 06:11:39 AM
I've tried before in my day trading to convert it to USDT and it seems like a good strategy to extract your profit from your capital anyway.
For day trading whatever coin you are using will likely be converted and reconverted at short intervals so there what you are holding as intermediary becomes less important. Of course if you get so lucky that one fine day you are trading and that coin gets frozen on exchanges for investigation. Roll Eyes

Quote
I did not trust Tether also before because it seems like way too immediate to have a stable coin backed by USD like we all know that is regulated and regulation isn't going so well in cryptocurrency sometimes.
Nobody does I am sure. But what else could you use? For sites like Binance you can use BNB but again BNB is also a disguised ponzi scheme whose price gets pump and stays there but for how long is not known to anybody. Exchange tokens function in the same way. They are not safe so use them with caution.
4828  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One of the Best Weapons in Trading on: April 20, 2020, 06:07:28 AM
I agree to this sentiment thats why i do seldom make use of lots of TA's or indicators when it comes to predicting price
Though I would suggest you to learn about indicators more often. They are useful but not everytime. Something like a gut feeling at times and sometimes completely opposite. Knowledge on how to use them will not go in vain though.

Quote
but somewhat i do simply make use of support and resistance lines and dont make or use much other than that.
For the general hodlers that is enough IMO. You buy low and sell high. But most dont even buy low, they end up buying high and get stuck. Then they are trying desperately to get out of the market so things like waiting on technicals, getting scammed by fake telegram signal groups keep happening. Tongue

Quote
SL are good to minimize loss but i do see this is more relevant when dealing with traditional markets but for crypto? I would rather choose to hang on a thread for longer rather than considering on selling up on a loss.
Holding the coins for a better price is a right decision. But this becomes difficult for those who dont have a strong belief on bitcoin and fear what will happen to it in future.
4829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we are not having more sites like freebitco.in[unique cases of freebitco.in] on: April 19, 2020, 05:54:51 AM
The situation with bitcoin has changed with time though.

Freebitco.in was developed in a time when faucets were worth visiting and they have retained their userbase by not just being a faucet but by adding in more functionality like: the dice game and good amount of referral commission, sharing of earned commission - which I have not seen on any other site, correct me if I am wrong.

Then you have the lucky rolls on the faucet of high numbers to get a good payout, one in which I have been lucky to win the 200$ prize once. The reward point system that helps to keep the traffic coming in every hour.

Then when you see Google Adsense stopped their support for faucet sites they moved on which better stuff that other faucet sites could not cope with and eventually other sites had to shut down. I believe this was a tough time for them but they recovered from it properly and started a sports betting section and a mining passive income section.

Now they are giving out lambos! Grin
4830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: April 19, 2020, 05:49:45 AM
I am filling some of my alts and half of my saving on Bitcoin. The problem with people is when the price is high they regret not buying the dip, once it occurs they fear the market. Take this chance to accumulate all coins that you want and can and wait for the market to recover.
Dont end up spending more than you can afford there. We tend to be reckless during such times of bag filling which is not common everyday Cheesy

Those who are knowing what bitcoin is and how it works will not fear the dip unless something cataclysmic occurs and this is not one of those. So be brave and be wise to put your money in the proper places and make sure to save enough to tide over these bad times.

Mostly bitcoin would be the one I would suggest but if you have some altcoins in mind which you have been eyeing for some time, get those too but only after proper research and only from the top10lists.
4831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Up or Down, People Hodl on: April 19, 2020, 05:45:15 AM
Well the Celsius networks job is different here. They give out loans for altcoin as collateral. Obviously they have their own propaganda here.

While some people are in a money-lacking situation currently some are having a store of money slowly being spent for their need.

The bad thing that I feel about brokers is that they dont care about people's lives. They only care about their methods of using situation and circumstances to make money. A good demonstration was the movie "The Wolf Of Wall Street" - recommend it to everyone here who is 18+  Grin

Again if MakerDAO and Celsius are working together then it is better to stay away from these news because how far it is truthful is questionable. They are trying to make people spend their hoarded money into taking loans from them and wasting it on options and margin trading.
4832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 Wallet Address on: April 19, 2020, 05:38:32 AM
Is the ERC20 Wallet Address the same as the Etherium wallet address which I can get on coinbase.com?
First thing first. Stop using coinbase as a wallet, use their GDAX exchange, I think its name has changed now but I like the name GDAX.

If you are storing coins on a website wallet you are not in control of the private keys completely, something that is an imminent danger for any user due to the risk of the site getting hacked or databases stolen. CB may do everything to prevent this but the best prevention method is in your own hands.

Use something like MyEtherWallet site which is not a webwallet but a tool to access your tokens and Ether when you need. There are also Android wallets available for Ethereum and its tokens which other users have posted here already.

Do the same for bitcoin too if you are buying any and storing in CB. Use a desktop wallet for it.
4833  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: April 19, 2020, 05:30:36 AM
Some information flying around said less than 50000 bitcoin was involved in the selloff, another said most of the selloff involved traders with less than 2 years in the space. If these information is true then the price of the coin can still be managed through the halving and stay above $5000.
There is no proof to such claims. What wallet is moving coins and whether they are being sold for fiat or moved to other currencies is never in the knowledge of financial advisors. They just predict based on what they already know and imagine to be true. Maybe it is true, maybe it is not. But it that important for traders? Yes if you are bullish you will buy coins when it dumps.

Quote
Pandemic will be over soon, Johnson and Johnson had a breakthrough with the disease but promised the first test around September.
More propaganda there. Pandemic will be over, correct but FMCG sectors will be growing but not one specific company.

Quote
I believe this could get the space back by the end of the year towards $15000 consolation.
Not a very evidence backed information though. Price could go up well and good but reaching 10k and crossing that is a bit long shot right now.
4834  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The impact Blockchain has on Gold Investment on: April 18, 2020, 06:35:15 AM
There is clearly no connection between the price of gold and bitcoin. What we have seen is just people trying to correlate the three and making a mess out of it or trying to clean up their mess and coming up with their own theories without any proof. It is all a wool pulling bunch of assumption at the most when you come to predict prices like this.

But some things are constant here. During any economic crisis there is a drop in price of bitcoin and stock markets and the gold prices might surge. But overall gold is more volatile than what crypto has been recently after post-2017 pump and dump.

Anyway both are good form of investments if you ask me. Both have their own pros and cons and thus cannot be compared.
4835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good capital managemt is important on: April 18, 2020, 06:25:28 AM
My rule is never buy a pump or a Hyip,
How will you know which coin is a pump or hyip or scam? Well a scam can be detected early minimizing losses but what about the first two? PnD does not happen right from start. It happens when whales want to pump and dump and this has no relation with the project's real ownership or how they are managing it. Besides having a contingency plan for market making and so on.

Quote
never buy a new altcoin to hold for the future when no active development from the team.
Again I ask you the same question. How will you know that suddenly development will stop and the project will fail? It is what happened with many ICO project and why the shitcoin market is in such a bad position. Let aside the excuses for bear market, I say the altcoin market was doomed from the beginning because they were never doing anything good at all.

Quote
And always never use all your fund in market have a reserve and never sell all your position when you are not too sure of the market direction.
While the OP has listed some things that as commonly known, it is not wrong to sell all your position if you wish to. Its a choice if whether you feel that project will be going up in future so you are cashing out some money and holding the rest.
4836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty alone is not enough on: April 18, 2020, 06:19:40 AM
I would like to remind you that very often bounty hunters themselves become investors.
Nope. If you know any sources to provide as proof do so, because the current data reveals the opposite. Majority of bounty hunters are going to dump after that project gets listed on exchanges, if it ever gets listed that is. Grin

You may call bounty hunters similar to quick flippers. But honestly they were at one time just spamming this forum for getting their bounty rewards. The real money base came from the first world country people and that why the SEC cracked down on the ICOs.

Quote
With bounty campaigns, projects become cryptospace-aware and find investors. There are other ways, but bounty is still relevant.
Bounty is aimed at generating awareness, how much efficient is another story. But its relevance was important in the past when it was dont meticulously when it was not a farming of alt accounts to steal the reward from the owners.

In other words, some bounty hunters lead to the demise of every bounty hunter. Roll Eyes
4837  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: April 18, 2020, 06:12:11 AM
How exactly my eth will be exchanged for the chips there, and my winnings will be credited in eth as well?
At the conversion rate of ETH/GBP, I think Pounds is what the game providers use mostly. But in general you can calcuate as the conversion rate follows.

If you are using 1 unit of a cryptocurrency to deposit and its equivalence is 100 units of a fiat currency then you get a total chip denomination of 100 units fiat.

Quote
Also eth price changes all the time, will it influence my balance at FJ?
Straight answer is yes. But lets look into this more carefully. When your chip amount is in play, more or less it is locked or not is not known to me clearly. FJ officials may clarify this too.

Now consider you have 1ETH worth of coins in deposit. Consider market price of ETH drops by 1%. It will not have a huge impact on your money deposited unless you start making whale level deposits. Average market swing if within 2-3%, it is manageable.

Now what to do about this your choice. If you dont like it then dont play with cryptocurrency deposits. Wink
4838  Economy / Economics / Re: China will rule world as economy king after crisis end? on: April 17, 2020, 05:55:41 AM
Too early to say anything. We are in a situation for economic crisis and the countries are trying their best to tide over the situation. Badly effected countries or poorer countries are the worst hit at the moment. For them recovery will be tough.

Whether one country will be ruling (not taking names) is a question but I do not think there is a specific answer to this because once the situation becomes better, whether there will be conflicts is another question. Let us hope that it does not happen but truely speaking, America will not bow down to some other country easily which can make things worse.

Speaking of bitcoin, it is going up slightly but this is temporary, still people are making money on margin trading, shows that people are optimistic about money and want to make more of it. Cheesy
4839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: April 17, 2020, 05:49:20 AM
I do not have accurate data, but if we reason from the point of view of mathematics, then the longer the distance and the greater the number of bets, the closer the number of losers will be closer to 100%. Both of these games have a negative mathematical expectation, so the result will be the same.
We can also reason from the known fact that casinos are in a net profit and not a net loss. Simulated mathematically, even EV- game is a loss for the player and a win for the casino. Now you can perform this on any browser by searching on the net for simulators.

Again this not mean that EV+ games are going to be contrary. They also have a luck factor involved and will lead to losses if the person is betting without doing analysis. The same logic can also be applied to trading without learning how to trade, just buying shitcoins without doing some research.

So maybe EV+ gambling can be said to be similar to day trading, because the luck factor is there but analysis and knowledge is also needed.
4840  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is Best Trading or Freelancing? on: April 17, 2020, 05:45:16 AM
as well since there is no job assurance on freelancing at someday there is no demand your skill so having job security is important if you don't have enough investments or savings.
Lets not even talk about job security, it is called freelancing for a reason, it is not a permanent job. Of course you can freelance to develop your skills further for a stable job, but by doing so you would not get any jobs as a freelancer since you are also learning. On the other side if you are already skilled, why would you freelance at all? You would be doing a stable job.

Now I dont think skills go to waste but markets do. Same happened with flash developers once Apple decided to stop allowing it.

Compared to trading this is not close as you can see, it remains a personal choice.
