4841  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it’s important to avoid telling everyone about your crypto holdings on: July 03, 2020, 09:27:40 AM
Look at all the famous crypto whales: Roger ver, Vitalik, Winklevoss twins, Charlie Lee, etc. Do you see anything happening to any of these guys? Nope. stop being so paranoid.
You see nothing happening to people like them because they are actually more paranoid than a regular Joe (cause they have more to lose) and not because they just live normally without any privacy. It's the same scenario for very wealthy people, you must protect yourself all the time or else face the consequences. I'm very sure the money guys like Vitalik, Charles Lee etc spend on protecting themselves from scammers will be worth more than a lot of people's crypto holdings, isn't that paranoia.
If you wanna be private than stay private, I'm talking about how people are so scared that everyone in the world is going to hurt them.
Everyone in the world may not be able to hurt you, but there are quite a lot of people that'll do that if they get the opportunity, that's why there are scammers, thieves, kidnappers, looters, bandits etc, you cannot feel less concerned about what you own in our society at this time and that's what the op is about.
4842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to recognize a scam on: July 03, 2020, 08:15:56 AM
However, I'm wondering why because there still a lot of people get scammed, I don't know if they listening to us or bothered to read any thread concerning about scamming.
Many of them (scam victims) aren't on bitcointalk so they may not be reading this threads, giveaway scams for example are mostly posted on youtube and twitter, users on btt get to see threads about them cause a member of this forum saw the scam, reported it so the post will be taken down by those apps and also posted here to warn other members when they visit those apps/site. But that being said, doesn't blot any blame off them, if they were more curious to check/search, they'd prolly even see many threads warning about cryptocurrency scams without being a registered user on the forum.

Liverpool lost to a better City team today, it's not about if they had anything to lose or "yeah they already are champions", Klopp wants to win all the remaining games and prolly break the record of hundred points held by City and you can see that with his team selection tonight.

Manchester City imo should be the team not fully motivated for this game, they have their opportunity in the Fa cup and ucl to make something out of their season, they can play the rest of their epl games knowing they have to stay injury free and fit to try and win two more trophies. Liverpool have no other tournament to challenge for, so they have to perform in the epl, and they wanted to tonight, but City were better.
4844  Other / Politics & Society / Re: S. Korea ponders naming churches coronavirus danger zones on: July 02, 2020, 07:59:50 PM
My country is a very religious one, to the extent that despite the outbreak of the virus, many of our citizens adviced the government against closing down places of worships (churches and mosques). Imo places of worship should have remained closed for now (as the government have also opened them here) the use of face masks in churches, social distancing, reducing the number of people that can attend services at once and other covid-19 preventive measures is not needed when members can connect with their preachers online and with God, everywhere.
4845  Other / Politics & Society / Re: India bans 59 mostly Chinese apps amid border crisis on: July 01, 2020, 06:43:30 PM
They know their citizens and everyone following how tensions have erupted between India and China is not going to believe that this apps are banned to stop China from spying, or safeguarding their citizens privacy, this apps have been working in India for quite some time unhindered, did the tensions just make them realize that the apps are bad, well they had to give an excuse.

I don't know how much China makes when this apps are up and running in India, but the Indian govt obviously want to cut that out for now. Some of this applications are almost everywhere in the world and imo China may not mind if India bans them in their country.
4846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 01, 2020, 05:04:39 PM
Tempting to bet against Juventues tonight but Penaldo always keeps me at bay. I know they've got to lose one more time this season, but it will likely be against Lazio or Atalanta.
Juventus aren't playing tonight, they already played and won 3-1 against Genoa yesterday, they play next against Torino on Saturday. I'd think if they will lose again this season it would prolly not be against a top team like Lazio (2nd) or Atalanta(4th) and Juve are at home against the both of'em. You can try your luck when they play Milan, Sassulo or Udinesse away from home, between now and the end of the season to see if they'll drop some points. Just my two cents Grin.
4847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are most Altcoins with little or No presence shit. on: July 01, 2020, 04:24:33 PM
Project team should know each other well before commit themselves into a new projects, if they are doing with some random person found on internet then these things will happen.
Every mate in the project team may not know each other well, since it's possible for more that one developers to meet over the internet and share ideas of creating a coin, but what the developers involved should do is making it impossible that one of them can move the funds or tokens out without the signatures (or whatever will indicate consent) of the others. It's a norm in any business thats not a sole proprietorship but partnership, if the project team cannot prevent the possibility of this happening, I'd also call it a shitcoin.
investors will consider them in connivance with the scammers.
The project team can also move the funds or tokens out and claim that it was a scammer who stole from them, the investors cannot think otherwise, because that's an easy way for them to scam and shift the blame away.

for some unknown reason whenever I bet Manchester United will win they lose the game. Today I will see if this curse will be broken, for the game between Manchester United - Brighton I bet Manchester United will win this game
For some known reason which is Manchester United's form and resurgence, the curse has been broken, you get your bet and they, their win Grin. Brighton remain in 15th place and Bournemouth & West ham can close the gap to three points between them and Brighton, but they face Newcastle and Chelsea tomorrow respectively and I see the both of them also taking 0 points from their game, so this loss may not matter much to Brighton.

For United it's different, finishing 3rd is now very possible, i pray no Leicester fan sees this, but what of a possibility of Chelsea, United and Wolves all going past them and taking the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions, can that happen?
4849  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US economy suddenly recovering? on: June 30, 2020, 09:21:29 PM
In my country, after the government eased the lockdown to an extent where people could go out, markets and businesses could open and some other sectors, it passed a wrong message to our citizens that things are totally back to normal and the economy recovering, but after some weeks now, positive cases of Covid-19 increased and the government are forced again to shut down the states that are affected the most.

Imo it'll be like this for some time, there is prolly no economic recovery in sight at the moment, even in the US. In the long run some countries will recover faster than others, as they have always had a better economy and America is one of those countries, but for now with all the the talk of rising unemployment and recession, they still have a long way to go.
4850  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tensions brewing between Asian Countries!!! on: June 30, 2020, 06:59:50 PM
Lastly I’m baffled as to why these Asian countries are trying to engage each other in such kind of situations, which can result in a full blown war if  they all don’t back down in their respective situations.
This tensions will not lead to a war, at least not now, imo no country can afford going to war atm, the ongoing war against corona virus can ensure that for the time being i think. Asia is the most populous continent on the planet, a war in that part of the world would be particularly more disastrous and the carnage unforgettable.

Tensions between and within countries is also not abnormal, only but few countries are free from that, what determines the extent it'll go to is how the issues are resolved and every country will prefer a resolution to a war, irrespective of their bravado at the beginning Grin.
4851  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have a plan of teaching college students in my neighborhood Bitcoin on: June 30, 2020, 05:47:18 PM
I made a lesson plan yesterday and I would be teaching final year students approaching graduation in my neighborhood
Final year students at what level of education, university/college or high school final year students, that's important in deciding the direction your tutoring will take, as well as the age of the students, their understanding capacity and financial strength, as far as investments is concerned.

I'll take universitity students for example, from my experience of those who have approached me, they are more concerned about 'how to invest in bitcoin' and already have, maybe not a firm, but at least a grip of the basics. If you are going to be teaching younger students, investment which involves capital may not be paramount, their curiosity will be more of "what is bitcoin".
4852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading competition, a plus or minus on: June 30, 2020, 05:18:17 PM
I would not mind joining in a bitcoin trading competition if i was great at trading, the competition is innocuous, except if you are new to trading and or put "more money than you can afford to lose into the competition". In every competition or sport you can think of, everyone is obviously there to win, so also is the case in a crypto trading competition and it can't be a con against it, if you aren't ready to compete and prolly lose, then do not bother participating.
4853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 29, 2020, 10:02:47 PM
I am also interested in how Klopp will play out his squad in remainder of PL after they are confirmed as winners. Probably maybe handing out chances to other players who remained benched mostly or were in subs is what I am expecting now.
Pundits have been asking the same question since Liverpool became champions with seven matches of the 38 left, interestingly we'll have to find out how klopp picks his team now first against City on Thursday. City have nothing to play for really, so do Liverpool technically, except for records sake, the two coaches may end up starting that game without their strongest players.
4854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: June 29, 2020, 08:18:20 PM
that's a long contract for a 30yo, isn't a two-year contract the norm? hmm
Or a one-year contract, clubs I think even have a contract extension policy of only just a year for players above 30 (For players in the team already). Barcelona are going for four in this case and it's obvious why, he's a new recruit and they cannot sign him for £62m and give him just one or two years contract, it'll run out quickly and they'd have to renew again, prolly with more expensive clauses for the club, and if they want to sell him, they'll not be at the liberty to sell him at their asking price and could lose the player for even free. Finally also looking at the terms of the deal, it's obvious they are blind to Pjanic's age.
4855  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not be deceived by sending PM. on: June 28, 2020, 08:09:42 AM
Too much greed puts us at a disadvantage The higher the income the greater the loss Therefore if you start with a little at first the chances of losing are less
The scammer can win over your confidence through smaller transactions between you and them being successful, building a mansion of trust by doing that, but that trust will collapse when the scammer gets into your head that he's not ingenuine and you go in with a larger amount, like in this case. Research on who you're communicating with, than testing them with small amounts.
4856  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help us grow the community and earn some crypto! on: June 27, 2020, 11:04:33 PM
We need some boost with followers, so the channel can gain more recognition. Any follower will get a small portion of crypto for contributing to our project. When you join, feel free to mute all the messages...
Any follower on your channel who can't write, read or understand polish will be more or less a bot, the channel should strictly be for people who can understand the language in use (Poland in this case).

Rewarding everyone for joining the channel, even if they will never contribute in it, is not the proper way to grow a legitimate channel or group. Focus more on the contents of the channel and in the long run you'll not have to pay or reward anyone to get followers.
4857  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: June 27, 2020, 09:53:38 PM
And then a lot of old schoolers have left in disgust at how much noise there is.
It is imo prolly quieter than when i registered freshly, there are surprisingly only one or two sites (or maybe app) i have used as much as this forum in less than two years here and i can have no complaints whatsoever spending my time on btt over other places, Reddit for example. As for the future, it does look good from my vantage point, like in my case, I consider many users to be elite and without them, there will be no motivation or yardstick for newer users to work on themselves (and users with this same mentality are many).
4858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 27, 2020, 04:33:00 PM
I'd be surprised if Aston Villa at this point do not sack their manager Dean Smith, it may not change anything based on their position in the league and their imminent relegation from the EPL, but surely time is running out for Dean. They prolly may have a hard time getting someone good as they'll be competing in the Championship or more of for a return back to the EPL next season.
4859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 27, 2020, 10:56:01 AM
However I am expecting a surprise from Aston Villa since they are in relegation and have to start working from here if they want to get out of the relegation zone.
Villa played well against Chelsea, imo other than Pulisic and Giroud's strike, i think they played better and deserved to have gotten at least a point in that game. A win today for Villa will take them up to 16th place with 30 points, away from the relegation zone, and put pressure on the others when they play; Wolves are in better form though, but this is a must win game for Aston Villa and that could lead them to victory.
I presume Man U will actually try to win?
Norwich are surely going to be relegated this season and with two losses since the restart of the season, 3-0 against Southampton and 1-0 against Everton, it should be a very easy game for Manchester United in the Fa cup today, Solskjaer knows his team have only that trophy to win (Fa cup) so they do not end the season trophyless again, Norwich stand no chance in stopping them.
4860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 26, 2020, 09:20:12 PM
...Kepa is being sold because Lampard doesn’t trust him, and further it looks like Lampard has the final say on who goes and stays at Chelsea.
If Lampard has been allowed to make decisions on transfers ( both buying and selling) on his own and with the members of his coaching staff, that's a change to how things work or how i knew things worked at Chelsea fc.

The Blues, just like Real madrid usually have the board (Presidenti, owner, chairman) make big money signings for the team even when the coach at that time may not want those players. I feel Lampard will be successful at Chelsea if be continues to get the backing of the board to make his decisions. On Kepa, Franky will be right to sell him, he is not good imo, but maybe he should be replaced with someones better than Onana.
