4841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Takes Place Amidst Pandemic on: April 28, 2020, 09:46:15 PM

The kind of boxing where all people wear a facemask, even the boxers, will somehow be marked in history lol. This is the first time.

Anyways, what happened has happened. The event was already done so what people must hope now is, everything will be fine, specifically within the period of 2 weeks or 14 days.

But surely, if such an event never resulted in another related case to Covid-19 on their country, expect that more organizers, not just in the sports industry, will follow the same since they will think of it as safe and no problem.

4843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Analyst: "Covid-19 Could Spur More States to Legalize Online Casino" on: April 24, 2020, 10:56:12 PM
I was surprised that online casino in Russia is not legal just as it's not in China the fact that on TVs they are the ones who manage casinos.

That's why these owners are operating outside the restricted area just like here in PH.

Lots of unlicensed casinos already busted here on which the majority of operators are Chinese.

They seen the potential of gamblers shifting to online gambling so they might do that, they need more tax they want to impose and by allowing it they can support this old industry that was neglected and government instead focus on casinos, which are not giving them revenues on time like this.

Much better if they will address that issue after the pandemic virus crisis.

They will able to compare the activity between "during and after".
4844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Gambling Life During Quarantine on: April 24, 2020, 03:46:00 PM

Climbing from rank Master to Legend III in Mobile Legend is not bad. Time killing activity during the quarantine after work. Much easy (but of course, still a challenge and time consuming) to rank up compare playing solo as before quarantine, I can't play with my friends/team on the same available time.

So what's the relation of this into gambling? Because of this.

I'm planning to have this back as my concern about the availability of my teammate can now be worked on. Hope there will be more players to participate this time.
4845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 24, 2020, 02:28:35 PM
What is your opinion about this one?

Robert Bolick wants to accomplish what Romeo, Pringle failed to do at NorthPort

Bollick trying to prove something, will his confidence be able to help the Northport succeed?
Romeo and Pringle are two of the best players in the PBA now, Bollick seems to be setting a very high goal here.

If that's his mission, then so be it and hoping for his success. That's a big statement and he also involved 2 NorthPort former top players which aren't actually necessary.

And coming from an ACL injury, I really hope Bolick will come back to his shape. That injury is not a joke as even his mind is really determined to push for the goal, his body might not cooperate at 100% in the process.

NorthPort basketball team operation should also do their best to surround their key players with good supporting players. They are always behind in terms of overall team performance for years.
4846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: LIST of TOP 10 E-SPORTS SPORTSBOOKS on: April 24, 2020, 01:34:23 PM
Here you can find the List of TOP 10 E-Sports Sportsbooks: http://sportstatist.com/e-sports-sportsbooks-eng/

The reviews are outdated.

Most of the sites there are still listed as recently setup and brand new.

Can you lead us instead of how those sites performed these past years since their commencement of operation and some fresh reviews?
The fact is that on our site as a whole there are about 500 bookmakers, so it is difficult for us to monitor all their changes and refresh reviews frequently.

So reviews there will just remain outdated even some are in years of operation? I even saw a site that established way back in 2014 but still does have a recently established review.

Then why considered those as "TOP" if you admit it's difficult to monitor those bookmakers? Yeah, that really lots of works. It doesn't have to be updated frequently but we are talking about the sites here that already in years of operation so somehow, there should be a fresh update.

It might mislead others instead of becoming a good reference.

4847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 23, 2020, 11:52:25 PM
They do have a choice and that is to wait for all of this to be cleared. Their health is more important than money.
Everyone's health.

They can even save more money for patiently waiting for good progress, no need to rush although I know the NBA already knows this.

Somehow we don't know the full terms of those plans that's why we are here just sharing our own thoughts and views. If only we got a glimpse of those, by any chance, we can somehow see and determined how sh*t or not those proposed plans.

Anyhow, those plans, even they are now ready to push for it will surely need first the government's approval so I think that will not be easy to push just because they want it to happen.
4848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Many cryptocurrencies — how important is that for you in casinos? on: April 23, 2020, 11:25:02 PM
Anyway, every crypto has its own benefits but how important is it for you to have a variety of different cryptos to play in casinos?

Convenience. Less Hassle. Fees.

As you have mentioned, every crypto used has its own benefits, much especially in terms of payments and transfers. About playing in casinos, no conversion will be needed just to comply with the supported cryptos.

And for blockchain-based gambling platforms, just a simple link to their wallet, they can now deposit and play easily within a seconds.
4849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Implement a Max Bet Option on Sportsbooks on: April 23, 2020, 11:01:42 PM
Well, that is really a great idea! Having a maximum bet that a player can set will give us control over our bankroll and losses. Most of the gamblers lose control when they are pissed off or when they feel it is their lucky day that in the end turns to ba big loss to them. Indeed, this idea might not be implemented by gambling sites because this might lessen their profit once big bettors will win.

You already mentioned it, gamblers lose control. Therefore, these gamblers will proceed no matter what, with or without that max bet option feature.

And besides, that feature can't be applied to all users as not all users do have the same behavior. So basically, that feature will be an option. And if a gambler came to the point that they want to continue their gambling activity on that particular session, they will just disable it and then that's it.

Again, that kind of behavior can just be addressed with the gambler's itself and not by websites putting lots of bankroll protection feature or something along those lines to their users.
4850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this period killed your desire or exited it on: April 23, 2020, 10:48:36 PM
..or can you say that you can do with out it?

It will not come to the point that I will answer this question because it's impossible that we won't back again on track. We aren't talking about the major sports events are gone now for years. It's just around a month or a few. No pun intended but why should a concern that it might be the end of the sports event will be raised.

It's not just the sports industry that got hit but all industries as well so no way the world will allow the virus to ruined everyone's lives for long. Just trust the process that and we will see back again on normal. Smiley

For sports bettor, maybe they have a hard time to adjust during the early weeks that their preferred sports are unavailable for betting but as several weeks pass by surely they already used to that. Not really a problem at all.
4851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA : Complete Domestic Competitions! on: April 23, 2020, 10:28:06 PM
We will see together how true or false these decisions are. I think the matches will be played without spectators. Please share your thoughts here. Everything could be ready for betting soon.

It doesn't really matter if those decisions are true or false (as you said or much better if we make it, will happen or not), since after all it will depend on a country's status. The supposed plan of those participating countries will surely just take place if it will meet all the required things to proceed safely. In other words, there is no assurance that those decisions, or basically, a plan will able to follow the exact timeline.

Honestly, related concerns can also be seen in other sports events. Each organization their respective plans just in case the situation got back to normal. Way better in the first place that they already constructed a plan for Situation A, Situation B, and so on.
4852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: April 22, 2020, 11:48:35 PM
Meanwhile, Casimero continued his taunting game on Inoue. Confidence is on an ATH, hope it would backfire lol.

https://www.boxingscene.com/casimero-i-hope-inoues-jaw-lasts-longer-tetes-jaw--148421

I like the confidence. A boxer characteristic that's hungry for the win. But proved it on the judgment day instead, not by throwing words.

If I'm not mistaken that's not the first time he throw words on Inoue? Not a usual behavior of any PH boxer.

Still, the eagerness of making his "kababayan" proud is on high-level.
4853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Implement a Max Bet Option on Sportsbooks on: April 22, 2020, 11:15:49 PM

For numbers 1 and 2, I'm not against the suggestion but I think that kind of adjustment should be deal by the gambler itself.

And for the possible accidental placement of a supposed bet, in most of the sites, there is always a confirmation before it will be placed.

It doesn't mean these sites don't care for their users but as always, once a person puts themselves in gambling, they should know the risk factor associated with it.
4854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Crash game more risky ? on: April 22, 2020, 10:34:32 PM
I have been playing the traditional gambling games but i have observed that crash game is more risky than the other gambling games. I always feel more greedy while playing a crash game and this make me lose more money. I think i have lost more money in crash games than any other game.

What is your observation on this  and do you prefer other gambling games over the crash games ?

In terms of risk, the weight is still the same compare to other gambling games. It's just that you lose more money playing that game so you consider that as riskier compared to other gambling games but as a whole, it's all the same (but somehow that risks can be deal in strategy-based games or sports betting).

What you need to worked on is how to manage properly your bankroll and ability to withstand the frustration in the event of losses. If ever the streak is going worst in your particular session, take a break and have some refreshments. No need to quit actually but you can come back anytime. In most cases, gamblers lose more while trying to recover those losses. It's really hard to resist stopping while seeing your bankroll decreasing but you need to force yourself to be like that.
4855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are blockchain & 5G offering new opportunities for online bitcoin casinos? on: April 22, 2020, 10:14:38 PM
Blockchain also made waves in the years. This year, it is considered to be the 5G technology’s turn. And when these two technologies combine, which will happen anytime soon, the Bitcoin casino market will be in for a surprise: faster crypto payments, more effective use of smart contracts - meaning casino games will load much much faster.

5G is no doubt a good innovation and actually some countries are enjoying the network for years.

But in terms of the whole casino games experience, I see no special changes. I mean, even before the 5g network, casino games should always be load faster by our internet service providers nowadays on a wireless network, at least in the majority of the areas. We are now in the generation where the internet speed is not as slow as hell.  And besides, the device used also plays a big role in terms of loading pages as even the internet does have a smooth connection and fast, if the device can't comply with the hardware requirements, then no changes at all.

5g will not boost up the online casino game activity literally but an upgraded internet speed boost is really a big help at loading any sites and useful services.

Silver also hinted at changes to the league schedule, saying “all rules are off at this point” while also confirming the NBA would play “significantly later than June” if games do resume.

That's even much difficult to execute compared to my own views which I also posted here before:

a) If ever things got back to normal or numbers of confirmed cases decreased, give another 1-3 months for reassurance that no such thing as another infection will occur

b) They can continue the next season even next year without resetting it as I said they are on 3/4 of the season and just delayed the next season

As for me, I'm with the continuation of the season but not later than June.

I am wondering what will happen to those who join in this promotion by nitrogensports?

The season hasn't officially ended and looking at NBA's future plan, there is a 0% chance that it will be reset.

That contest of NitrgonSports should proceed.
4858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 21, 2020, 11:56:23 PM
Lastly there’re two important lessons we all can learn from him, 1) quit while you’re ahead and 2) don’t splurge your winning fortune quickly spend it slowly and wisely.

Honestly, these 2 lessons are just simple but difficult to do.

In my case, if I won a life-changing amount, surely I'm still on my mind to put it on useful things such as business, real estate, etc. and began securing my savings. But impossible for me not to allocated some of those winnings in gambling since as always, "why should I stop if I won". The mindset of lightning can struck 2 times is always in a gambler's mind.

It now depends on how responsible these big winners will continue their gambling activity. I'm amazed at the person in the subject that decided to stop. He just really tested his luck that time but not actually treating gambling as a regular activity to the point that he always gambled. Also, the reason why he able to easily quit gambling before.
4859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Analyst: "Covid-19 Could Spur More States to Legalize Online Casino" on: April 21, 2020, 11:35:16 PM
Do you agree the government will legalize online gambling?

Yes, it can be considered but with currently lots of heavy loads on government's hands now, it might not happen immediately. And besides, as long as the said online casino complies with all the requirements need to operate, nothing problem here. It's just the same as fulfilling business requirements even we aren't currently experiencing a pandemic virus scare.

In other words, not a priority to push for that given the situation we are dealing with.

If yes, will traditional (land) casinos survive?

100% yes. Online gambling just became an option but we didn't even know if those land casino players really hooked up at it or just tested it by a meantime or totally refrain from doing gambling for now.

And after the situation got back to normal, the activity in land-based casinos will surely also back again to normal.
4860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 21, 2020, 11:15:10 PM
Ranidel De Ocampo indeed contributed a lot to the PBA and of course to the TNT Katropa but it's just unfortunate that he never made it to the top recognition of the oldest league in Asia, the Most Valuable Player. Sad to note and wonder sometimes on whether the PBA is fair on choosing a player for that award. Nelson Asaytono, Jason Castro and RDO, those names are deserving for that award but never made it.

Somehow RDO got 2 Finals MVP. Considered also a top recognition and achievement for any player.

In Season MVP, it's really difficult to compete here since starting from Quarterfinals to Finals, players stats aren't counted anymore. So even a top-performing player of that conference never reached the playoffs, there is always a chance to be named as the PBA Season MVP.

Since you mentioned "fair", I've taken a look at those MVPs during RDO's season (I exclude his Air12 tenure) and I can say that PBA selected "quietly fair" here. Those seasons are the golden days of the likes of Mark Caguiao, JayJay Helterbrand, James Yap and his teammate Jimmy Alapag.

About Nelson Asaytono, yes that was in a discussion for a long-time now. He failed to achieve it and take note, he was nominated 5 times. And much worst, he didn't even include in the top 40 Greatest PBA Players of All-Time. Really a frustration on his side.
