After having an extraordinarily good season I believe Darwin Nunez absolutely deserved to play for a much bigger team. Scoring 34 goals in 41 games is a very impressive statistics in the end. He is very young also and this is a wonderful deal for Liverpool. I see his transfer fee as 75m euros on Transfermarkt but I guess there are some bonuses in this deal too. Because I heard about a total cost like 100m euros. This much money is given to many footballer now so I started to think that Liverpool did the right thing.

I have also heard about the news regarding Asensio to Milan in this transfer window. Asensio hasn't been able to give what is expected from him to Real Madrid. Considering that I think it would be very good for him to join a different team to try to shine again. He isn't still that much old so he can play nicely for Milan for a long time as long as he adapts to the team quickly. He has a good talent and he needs to bring it out. Milan need this kind of transfers to consolidate their squad for the Champions League especially.

I also would like to witness Richarlison to leave the team this summer. Everton can't give what he wants seemingly and there is no need to stay here for him. He must join a bigger team to be able to come to the forefront easier and to attract the attention of many big teams. His next destination after joining Tottenham or Chelsea might be a team like PSG, Real Madrid etc.. It is going to be up to him to develop his game and deserve to play in this kind of teams. As he is a skilled player he shouldn't have too much problem about that.

Manchester City want the Champions League title so bad now. Guardiola wants to achieve this in the first place. Since his time started at Manchester City, their main goal has been winning the Champions League title. I think they have an adequate squad to reach the title actually and they have improved their squad even more now thanks to signing Erling Haaland. This would absolutely reflect on the odds for them to become the champions next season. But the odds don't tell the facts every time so we will see.

Juventus are about to have some centre-forward problems soon. Dybala is about to be a free agent and Morata is returning to Atletico Madrid soon as well. They have Vlahovic and Moise Kean now. As they mostly preferred a two-striker formation last season this can be seen as a problem for them absolutely. I know that they have a newcomer named Kaio Jorge who has come from Santos. However he is very young and hasn't shown a big talent yet. I guess Juventus would see him as last resort.

I see that Turkey are going on very determinedly in their league now. However it is completely normal as well because their group is full of piece of cake opponents like Luxembourg, Faroe Islands and Lithuania. They shouldn't stumble in any of the games remaining as well. I don't even understand how a team like Turkey can be in the League C now. They had a really bad period before. I know that and I hope they don't relegate to this league ever again after promoting to the League B.

It started to seem like Manchester United are going to have a very big difficulty in signing Frenkie de Jong now as long as they don't increase the amount of their offer. I've heard that Barcelona want 85 million euros by cash for him while Manchester United are offering 60+10 million euros or so. For the reason that Manchester United need a midfielder immediately after losing Pogba, I think they can pay that much to Barcelona unless they find another midfielder as good as Frenkie de Jong.

I would also like to see Cristiano Ronaldo as the captain of Manchester United. I believe that he is one of the best players for this. He led the team in the previous season in fact as they would have been in a much more terrible situation if he hadn't performed that great. I wouldn't like to point out only his performance of course. He did his best about making the team fired up too even though the team weren't that good after. It looks like Ronaldo is staying for at least one more year so we should see him as the leader of the team.
Unless Ronaldo stays at Manchester United, and does not move to another club that participates in his favorite tournament called the Champions League  I also think Ronaldo deserves the right to be the captain of Manchester United more than Maguire, but we need to look around who ten Hag is going to build the team around now. In a club like Manchester United, the team captain should be the leader of the dressing room and have the greatest authority among the players, and Ronaldo fits this role perfectly. Another question is that the team captain is also a guide between the head coach and the team itself and you need to understand how much ten Hag and Ronaldo are willing to trust each other. Warriors seemed better in the previous game but we will see if they will succeed in being consistent. Celtics will have to defend tighter to cause them to make mistakes otherwise it seems too difficult for them to stop especially Curry. If they even don't manage to stop him they should at least improve their successful shot percentage.
Niether box-one or tight man-to-man def for Curry as long he wont really be making out some good position on shooting 3's then they might have the chance. When Curry starts to heat up then its really hard for him to be stopped. 2 point made will easily be just be patched or catched up if 3 would be successive so there's no point on weakening their defense. Warriors wont be dumb on not to counter possible isolation for Curry and to mind off that there's still Thompson and Poole which could also shoot 3's on any angles. Box and one for Curry will never work they will shred that with other outside shooters, and if they play 2 high on him they will eat up the Celtics with cutting through the paint. I'd just let Curry get his and try to lock down Poole and klay to be honest. Curry will get his so I wouldn't waste effort allowing the whole team to join in. Male theor 4th and 5th options have to have a big game. The result of this game seemed interesting to me actually. Stephen Curry didn't have a good game at all as he missed all of his nine three-pointer attempts. Thompson was there to do a good job and I liked especially Wiggins' performance though. His nice double-double made an important contribution to this win. Warriors have a very serious advantage in their hands now and Celtics have no choice other than winning next time. I think they will do this too and we will see the Game 7. |

This was a very delightful day in the Nations League in my opinion. We saw very unexpected results at the end of two big games. I wasn't expecting Italy to have this kind of a starting eleven too. This was the main reason why they lost by a very bad score, 5-2. Things were even worse for England because they lost their game against Hungary by 4-0. I was waiting for England to win this game so I was really shocked after seeing this. The Nations League is just very hard to predict now.

I don't think that Manchester City are going to be interested in transferring Paul Pogba now because their main goal seems like bringing Leeds defensive midfielder Kalvin Phillips now. They want to make a good amount of money from the sales of some players and spend the money needed to sign him. If they manage to bring him then I won't expect them to go for another midfielder like Paul Pogba. In this case Juventus would capture the full advantage about signing Pogba.

Monaco and Marseille were the teams that I liked very much right after PSG. Especially Monaco seemed much stronger in the final moments of the season as they had a lasting winning streak like nine games or so. They were even winning against Lens too but they were devastated by a last minute goal which caused them to lose the second position to Marseille. However I appreciate them both and I'm hopeful about them for next season too. Maybe these two wouldn't be able to make difficulties for PSG but they can have this fight again.

It was an awkward day in my opinion. Denmark did the expected thing by defeating Austria actually but France had really serious problems on having a favorable result in their home game. Croatia benefited from this opportunity in a great way by defeating them 1-0. This must be absolutely because of their not seeing this tournament as very important for themselves. Otherwise I would say that France should have won this game one way or another. France are really not a team to believe in here now.

Juventus are very close to signing Paul Pogba now. They seem very confident about this deal and Pogba is also likely to go back to his old team. I think that this deal would be really good for both sides. Juventus have been playing with an average midfield for a long time. Paul Pogba is just the player they have been searching for. They must be thankful for him to have problems with Manchester United and leave. Pogba is a midfielder who can have many kinds of roles and he can lead the team to success.

Gareth Bale is leaving Real Madrid for sure at the end of this month. There is no way Real Madrid are trying to make him stay any longer from now on. He isn't like the old Bale now and Real Madrid want to part ways with him because of that. He is going to be a free agent and I'm wondering what team his next stop will be. I've heard that his wife doesn't want to leave Spain so this can be very effective while he is making his decision. People talked about Getafe too but I don't think that it is realistic. He can still play at a middle-placed team at least.
Gareth Bale's manager, Barnett, denied the Getafe President's allegations and said it would be impossible to contact him. Ballet, in my opinion, should not stay in Spain and should return to England. Bale had a great time in Madrid but hasn't been in the top eleven lately. Injuries also played a role. Maybe Bale's "Wales, Golf, Madrid" statement also made him an unwanted person. I don’t know. He can regain his former strength by giving weight to individual exercises. Bale could go back to his old days in the Premier League. Honestly I think the most fitting league for Gareth Bale is the Premier League now. Even if his next station doesn't become Tottenham he can still go to a Premier League team. I wonder whether there will be one to become interested in him. He is still a good player now and he can play at least for a middle-placed team in the Premier League. Normally Messi-Mbappe-Neymar trio must perform really great but they haven't met the demands of the supporters surely. Mbappe himself is awesome but the other two weren't that much last season. I didn't even see Neymar playing properly last season. He must play more than this to contribute more to the team. Messi's contribution level was also not too high but I hope he will perform better next time. This is very crucial for the Champions League especially.
Neymar performance this season was not as expected by fans and maybe that's quite reasonable because Neymar often gets injured, but for Messi I think his performance is quite good even though he only appeared 26 matches in the league but Messi has created 6 goals and 14 assists in his first season , in my opinion it was an extraordinary performance because it seems that messi role has now been shifted by the coach to become a supporter of mbappe as a striker, the trio of messi, mbappe and neymar are not quite perfect but if later the issue about zidane coaching PSG becomes a reality of course the trio can be a deadly combination for their opponents, PSG currently only needs a coach who can handle big personalities in the dressing room and encourage players to be able to do their best in every match, with the extraordinary management of zidane will certainly be able to make messi, mbappe and neymar more develop later. You have made a good point there. Neymar's biggest problem was his being injury prone most of the time. Sometimes I didn't even want to believe that he was really injured. I assume he streamed on Twitch more than he played for PSG last season.  Joking aside, PSG need Neymar too if they want to get the title in the Champions League. They have a dream squad but they are still struggling there. Real Madrid eliminated them right after the group stage which was a huge disappointment for them. |
