Not to nitpick but it's "Who's the best Bitcointalk moderator? (Moderator of the month)". ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Back on topic, I'd probably say it's Badbear or malevolent - they really do a lot of work: moderation, helping out users, etc.

JDS1000 of our Dev Team received the following message and was unsure of why he received it.
"Sorry JDS1000, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum. Conducting a banned altcoin giveaway (30 days)"
I run CryptoSandwich Giveaways and would never come close to BitcoinTalk with a giveaway.
I recently sent a DM to UseCoin to receive a giveaway. Was that what did me in???
Can I appeal? BitcoinTalk is an important part of my livelihood. Thank you and please let me know...
JDS1000
He was banned for doing an on-site giveaway. He broke this part of the rule: <...> Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread. <...>
One of the requirements was to post in your thread.

Since Torbrowser is my default - except for bitcointalk - am I at risk of having my account blocked if I by mistake log in to bitcointalk using Torbrowser? Or can I at this point switch to Torbrowser anyway, since I created my account with my normal IP?
Thanks guys!
I think that if you signed up with a normal IP, you won't get any units of evil since they are calculated when you first register.

Where have you found that "forum moderation policy"? I have never read or heard of such thing...
Here. It's rather basic and doesn't cover much. But, mprep unofficial guidelines probably cover a lot more and answer a lot of peoples questions. Oh thanks for the link. I have been visiting bitcointalk for like 9 months now, and haven't read that before. Shame on me! ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) BTW, I see trolling posts, "hold hold hold" posts, uninteresting threads and ref spam posts frequently. And I have found a few threads with [NSFW] tag in the title lol. Some guidelines:
1. Free speech - you can say anything as long as it is relevant and presented in a calm and polite manner. Swearing, SHOUTING etc. make your post more likely to be removed. 2. No zero value posts or threads, like "SELL SELL SELL" 3. No pointless or uninteresting threads. 4. No referral code spam 5. No NSFW content
The NSFW content situation changed a bit - you can post about NSFW content bit you can't embed NSFW images (although you can link to them) and you have to mark NSFW content accordingly.

The 50 bitcoin rule to become a vip was made a while ago when bitcoins weren't this valuable. But now their much more valuable so what exactly would happen if someone donated 50 bitcoin these days?
Although it might not seem fair to us now since (50x500) it is a lot of money, you still would only get VIP. There was some discussion about this a while back and it would not be fair to the people that paid for it long ago. So basically you would only get VIP status, nothing else. And of cource all the perks that come with it: a special donator's board to talk in, ability to change your name and of course the purple half icon at the end of the coons bellow your name.

While this pop ups, do you mind adding in post links to the specific sections, so its easier to give someone a direct link to a certain rule or FAQ point? E.g. Forum rules -list of rules- back up
Frequently asked questions (FAQ) back up Since I cant post the edited OP in a code block (because it has /code in it), here is an edited version: http://pastebin.com/xgqWqV6uit will expire in 1 day Done, added in a table of contents / overview. Didn't notice the code since I looked before the edit. Will work on the search features when I get the time.

The draft feature is very handy. Worth mentioning the lollipop search.
I'll add in the draft in the FAQ tomorrow. I didn't quite understand what the second one meant ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) . Completely forgot to add this question - just did though. Will add more questions about both the standard and the advanced search features.
