Sey cat sabi swim nor make am catfish.
Meaning: The nomenclature of a thing doesn't necessarily confer on it real characteristics. There are things one can do by chance but it doesn't prove one is endowed with it and can sustain it.

4843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why make New Crypto Exchanges on: November 29, 2020, 05:49:49 PM
Lately i see many new crypto exchanges / shitcoin exchanges.
I find that creating new exchanges these days isnt profitable anymore, why would someone switch from a long known exchange like binance/coinbase/etc. to some brand new exchange?
Binance isn't even that long in the industry. It came into business in 2017. So, it's just three years old in the game. But before Binance, there were other exchanges that ran their businesses differently. Binance happened and revolutionized the game and gave a lot of traders and investors assurance of the safety of their funds. When I joined this forum in 2017, there were slightly over 750 cryptocurrencies listed on the CMC but today there are almost 6,000 of them. I think, the more the merrier applies here. Let more exchanges come, those without innovations will fizzle out with time.

Overall i find working on a new Crypto Exchange a waste of time, money and effort unless you have some truly insane idea.

Am i wrong? Correct me if im wrong, willing to hear all your opinions.
Uniswap is a new exchange. Will you say it hasn't brought something new to the industry?
4844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As the markets remains bullish; Do the right things on: November 29, 2020, 04:29:00 PM
Always do your own research.
We really can't singularly tag DYOR as the right thing. The right thing for me when it comes to trading is, "Acquire the Skill Set."

Trading is like gambling with lesser risk. Never meet someone who makes passive income trading.
Oh, really? I know of several traders whose only job is trading and they're living the life of their dreams from trading profits. The problem with many newbie traders is that they think trading is a shortcut to getting rich. It isn't. You hurry in without acquiring and trading skills and discipline, he market shows you the way out by destroying your capital. Trading is a profession and like every profession there are tutorials and stern learning to comply with. It should be treated as a profession. Gambling is a mile apart from trading.
4845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: November 29, 2020, 01:37:00 PM
I don't know if we're the same but in this school year (2020-2021) Bitcoin is now being introduced to our school, although it may not be introduced to other courses, since I am currently taking Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) hence, we are to take Bitcoin and the history of BTC. It's actually great that schools are putting Bitcoin to their curriculum, with that, I got to share my experience with Bitcoin, I got the chance to share my knowledge about the history of Bitcoin and how much I benefited from this.
This is really huge and great. It's glad tidings. At least the doubters will now know that Bitcoin and the entire crypto stuff have come to stay. People should begin to have confidence that it's not a bubble any more. For schools to have it as a part of their curricula means a lot. It's scholarly, just the way schools taught students Banking and Finance/Accounting to set in the banking era. It's interesting that Bitcoin is taking a centre stage now. Even the OP should've an edge on his course mates because of his earlier exposure to Bitcoin, and of the knowledge oozing from this forum too. Kudos! We are in for a new financial era. It's the bits era.
4846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coinexchange.io is Closing Down. Official announcement. on: November 28, 2020, 03:47:07 PM
Do not trust an exchange(or any thing for that matter) twice, if they let you down one time and even if whatever was the issue didn't lead you to lose any money it's better to not take the risk and move out your funds from there.
Yah, you're right on the Cryptopia thing, just the same way Novaexchange made an attempt to come back too. Well, I don't know how that move ended because I lost interest in the Novaexchange saga. It goes a long way to reinforce the axiom - Once bitten, twice shy. I do think that the entry of new exchanges like Binance in the crypto industry did give the old exchanges a severe run for their money and a lot of them couldn't cope with customers' demand for innovative trading. I remember how Poloniex and Bittrex used to dominate the industry pre-2017 but now virtually all new traders may not even have heard of them. Nothing lasts forever, really!
4847  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coinexchange.io is Closing Down. Official announcement. on: November 28, 2020, 01:46:14 PM
Hello is it possible to get back money from Coinexchange.io.My father have some money on that site and he want to recover own money on that site.He didnt got any warning on email that site will be closed. It is only closed without warning. If warning is posted here that is not enought. How he can even know for that if he dont read topics here everyday?
I can't really say for sure where I first read the closure notice from Coinexchange, either here or on Twitter. But I know there was a thread on that here. I also had an account with them, and I quickly did the needful. It's quite a while that happened and I am not sure if there is still a communication avenue left opened from the Coinexchange guys. Usually, there's a timeline to allow customers move out their funds and I believe once that elapsed, that's it. It will be hard now getting anyone (the company is already dissolved) to listen to you on this.

I hope that they will soon return again.
If they do, it won't be easy getting people back to trust them. I, for one, won't trust them. Except they come in the guise of another name I don't know.
4848  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Satoshi Hill Real or Scam on: November 28, 2020, 10:24:40 AM
Satoshi Hill Real or Scam  Huh

BTCThere are many websites in the world that claim to offer free bitcoin, but Satoshi Hill differs from other websites in the world in that it offers a lot of bitcoin and is real.

This is not just a joke, it is often because you have received free Bitcoin.
You made the title look like a question you're asking but ended up affirming a position in your content. If you're saying the site is real and you're vouching for it while you're a newbie here, it raises a critical question of either you're a member of the project team or you've made withdrawals from the site. Do you have any evidence to show for any withdrawals? I guess the community will like to see a screenshot of that. BTW, there is another thread started here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5293984.msg55700871#msg55700871 by another newbie account like yours which was opened today.
4849  Other / Off-topic / Re: RIP Diego Maradona on: November 27, 2020, 03:48:36 PM
This is terribly sad Rest In Paradise to a absolute football legend.
I was so shocked to hear of this sad news earlier today.
Death is inevitable and as such I don't see anything terrible about the act of dying, except it involves mangling of body parts in accidents. The football world will surely remember Maradona, no doubts.

R.I.P Maradona !!! he was really young, only 60 years old, for me he was the greatest footballer of all time
Where does that leave Pele, then?

2020 took from us Kobe Bryant and now Diego Maradona...
RIP, Diego Armando Maradona. Legends never die!
I hope you also know that boh deaths aren't coronavirus related?

Beyond all that, I remember Maradona for his criminal hand of god goal scored against England during the quarter finals match with Argentina at the 1986 FIFA World Cup on June 22 at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The English are yet to forgive Diego Maradona for that cheat. May be they will now 🙄.
4850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can't always hit the right target on: November 27, 2020, 03:08:55 PM
start acting like a real bounty hunter, if projects don't work out then move on because it's bounty hunting
Honestly, I don't think the issue hunters bemoan is bounty reward been shitty or worthless. That's the risk of every business and hunters should expectedly know it. The core issue is projects turning scams or not even paying at all. No bounty hunter (whether here or as the OP generally used the term) will consciously know that a certain project won't pay and then go ahead with bounty hunting for the project. None. But whether the project will be prosperous or not is the risk many of us hunters take. Are we to blame for taking such risk? I don't think so.

I am grinning here already for making this week's list as number one. I can't imagine what glee it will be for me when I finally rank up to Hero. I didn't even know this thread exists until today through notification from the @BTTSuperNotifier_bot. I think everyone should run that bot so as to keep abreast of happenings here.
4852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: November 27, 2020, 09:23:37 AM
Hey, I just made a transaction just now and its has a normal charge which was actually low on trust wallet. I think the high gas fee madness had actually stopped.
Yep, I noticed it too that the crazy billing is gradually subsiding and I believe strongly that it has everything to do with the Dec 1 launch of ETH 2.0. It's crazy how the fees have kept a lot of prospective projects on hold, pending the release. The ESH swap has been put on hold because of these outrageous tx fees too. There was even a bounty I took part in here that refused to send bounty rewards to hunters because the team didn't want to pay the exorbitant fees, and it asked hunters to claim the rewards themselves and pay the tx fees. With fees coming down now, I sincerely hope that things will return to normal with ETH.
4853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it right time to buy Altcoin ? on: November 27, 2020, 04:44:16 AM
BTC made correction so , is it right time to buy altcoin Huh Huh
Don't be one of those who love to chase price. That's a bad investment or trading strategy. It's good to always buy on the rumour of news than the actual news. If you haven't bought any altcoin of your choice till now, you're on the verge of missing out on them. Most altcoins are already appreciating in value and price and I hope those you're targeting aren't among them yet. Remember that bull run for Bitcoin always propels altcoins, especially after the mandatory correction has taken effect.
4854  Other / Meta / Re: The Avatar would have to be optional in signature campaigns? on: November 27, 2020, 04:10:11 AM
I'm still confused with my own posts sometimes Tongue
Lol... Especially when you have users like o_e_l_e_o, suchmoon and The Pharmacist (who have the same avatar as yours) posting almost immediately after you did. Well, I do check closely to know who among you I am reading from.

I think OP should find their way to the Chipmixer campaign where users aren't required to use the avatar. BTW, I have yet to see what the avatar does for any campaign as they don't even contain any link to project's/company's site.
4855  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerian Bitcointalk Community Hangout. {Current topic: #EndSARs} on: November 26, 2020, 09:10:55 PM

4856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow a trading process. on: November 26, 2020, 03:53:46 AM
NB: This is a wake up call to all traders to develop a trading skill or perhaps strategy; and ensure to stick to the process until perfection, and you can watch the profits follow.
This is a valuable advice but the major problem with it lies in the impatience of learners to stick to the process. Modern people like fastfood approach, they want it quick quick and so see every opportunity as a get rich quick scheme. If only wannabe traders will start seeing Trading as a profession and then knowing that every profession comes with years of training and learning, be it formal or informal professions. One great thing about trading if got right is that one acquires a set skill for life prosperity because charts often repeats itself. Go get the skill set and be financially independent. Though it's a struggle and process acquiring that.
4857  Other / Meta / Re: Why so strict on members on: November 25, 2020, 05:14:18 AM

I am still wondering why the OP's account still reads zero post and zero activity even when there's still this post on. Can anyone explain this, please?
4858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Could Hit $1 This Year on: November 24, 2020, 07:07:21 PM
XRP at $1 – XRP’s Bullish Trend to Begin
Ripple, a platform that aims to provide seamless, hassle-free, and low-cost cross border payments, has recorded its growth on many blockchain entities. The native token of Ripple, XRP is also expected to have a bull run with a price possibly touching $1.
Honestly, I am not perturbed with whatever news that comes out regarding XRP because I know it's a lame duck. It once got to over $3 but elapsed to the shadow of itself. If most coins have half of the positive news XRP has it would fly off the roof. XRP hasn't shown much promises to do better than it's doing right now because of its huge supply which keeps dragging it back. I believe this bull run is momentarily for Ripple. I see it collapsing later again.
4859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How true is this? on: November 24, 2020, 01:09:34 PM
Is it true that if altcoin season starts many projects will be forced to launch just to take advantage of the green market? There are some projects that failed to launch since 2019 I heard and some said that in 2017 many projects start rushing to take advantage of the market, how true is this?
Yes, that is absolutely true. It's a time like that we get to see so many scam projects launching in the market and taking advantage of naive investors. Almost all penny tokens will give a good ROI. I saw that happen in 2017, and it won't be any different once the altcoin bull sets in. However, I don't foresee a bull run for altcoins before the end of 2020. It should come in 2021 and I look forward to it. Investors should be very careful at a time like this to avoid getting hoodwinked.
