4861  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloud Mining - Please help a newbie on: October 28, 2015, 02:29:49 PM
As fake proof you mean me asking about hardware?   Yes... before a investment I would want to make sure there is hardware.   It's nothing against you but you seem to take it personal as you cannot show hardware.
Showing a bunch of hardware and getting some vouch is no proof at all. Hashie to AM hash, all were backed by real hardware from AsicMiner. But, that did not stop them to run a Ponzi and scam people.

Why attack me for telling people to research before investing?  I think they will find legit sites on their own.  You have been mad many times at me.   I guess I don't see a payment with no other info as proof.  How do we not know 3/4 of those being paid are not you?   Or that you are not just paying part of what you bring in as you do not ever mention hardware or proof there?  I personally just don't see a random blog as being a 3rd party to brag about as if you have been audited, that blog does not mean a whole lot to most people.
I have no problem if you just asked people to research and invest. But, you are not doing that. You are lying people that there are only two legit services and not telling them, that with those they'll never make ROI. You have no word about the fact that Bit-X has denied to provide the data of how much hash power they have sold. I'm very sure, that just like AM hash, they are overselling too and running a Ponzi behind. The 1 Phs vouch from BitFury is just a show off to buy legitimacy. But, you never question that and instead take part in their sig campaign. This makes you a cheat & fraudster.

I mean again it's nothing personal I make 0 dollars no matter what people decide.  I just think they should research and ask question, no matter what the investment.
In this regard, I am in same page as of you.

Honestly we have done this dance to many times.  You need a hobby sir.  A payment shows almost nothing as we don't know you are not 3/4th of people on list.  Your 3rd  party is a blog... and not a well known one even.

Hardware is a huge deal you get mad as I tell people to research and see if there is hardware.  You have never once tried to talk about hardware you want to have people not research it.   The fact is if people research it it prevents a LOT of scam's.  No not all GAW and AM did have trouble.  But 2 compared to who know's how many scams in total is a petty good metric on seeing if it's a scam.

I honestly do push research I have put my items I look for.  But it's up the the investor to figure out what they want to see.   You can bash me for it.  But at end of day I feel good that I did not push anyone into a investment, only helped with research.

I suggest you stop trying to make point of thread a fight, and try to show you are legit instead.   You spend to much time on 2 sites saying they don't release payment.... which payment shows nothing as we don't know it's not you on 3/4 of payment or paying your own accounts more then others... etc.  We just don't know with your system.

I just suggest focusing on showing why yours should be one a investor want's instead of bashing same people and sites over... and over.
4862  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how can i earn with bitcoin please? on: October 28, 2015, 02:20:40 PM
1: Make quality post and soon your account will be earning ~50 Dollar per month - like me! Smiley.
2: Dont gamble or invest in HYIP site.
3: Use faucets to collect "dust" for transaction fees - check out FreeBitco.in or Weekend Bitcoin and ... my site, BitRevenues.

$50 isn't enough though but pretty sure it should help.  can you make it $50 a week by posting quality posts or is it possible to earn taht per week?

You would need to be on the forums a pretty good amount to hit 50 dollars worth.  It is possible but if your doing posts just to get posts chances are you lose content and will get a temp ban.

If you are on the forum like me all the time it's doable.   Just takes some time.   Also you really need to be full member or higher to get that much.  Less then full member pay is a decent amount less.
4863  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntRouter R1: 1st wireless networking device with bitcoin mining chip on: October 28, 2015, 02:15:34 PM
Have had the R1 for just over a Week now and one surprise is how few there are connected?

It was just under 100 when I first connected, and only 140 now. Is it that they have only shipped a few or have people not got round to plugging them up. I can't believe that the majority of people have worked out how to change the Pool?

Also think it would be good if Bitmain livened up the Stats. Would be good if they could have a leader board / Best shares achieved as we have a long wait before the first Coin is Mined.  Smiley The Mining Chart makes sense, however if you look at the Mining Record it's exactly the same data but with a different scale that always seems to adjust you to a max challenge index of 80. What's that all about?

Rich

I cant decide if a lot went to CK's pool and just modified it or if they were limited at launch and sold out quick.  It seems they sold out quick, I'm assuming they will have another batch but I'm guessing they are focused on S7 ATM on next batch.

Antrouter is small in scheme to them compared to getting next batch of S7's up.
4864  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain on: October 28, 2015, 02:13:23 PM
Wifi boosters have been sold out for like 3 weeks..
S7 for like a week..

Soo............. any speculation?  Just making new batches?

Making a new U4?!?!?!?!?!?!!

I'm not sure seems like they ran out much quicker then I thought. Crazy Guy has some in stock last I heard and was selling - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=612390.0

Might hit him up if your wanting one, that is where I got mine from.
4865  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is Mining profitable? on: October 28, 2015, 02:11:08 PM
Actually is mining bitcoin profitable? And what is the mining altcoins?
As far as I know, normal computer is not profitable to mine. Is buying a mining hardware helping to earn money?
What hardware should to maximize profit I use if I were to mine?

You can mine altcoins with the same equipment you mine Bitcoins and you can mine them much more than Bitcoins at the same time. The question is do they worth anything? There were hundreds of altcoins and only few of them survived.

The anwser is no it's not worth it.  You are better of almost all of the time mining BTC and buying some altcoins if you want them.   Btc just is the most common sha coin by far, pretty much everyone is mining it.

I don't think there is another sha coin that currently could get me to invest.   And if you look at nicehash you will see people are not paying huge premium so not really anyone doing sha altcoins.
4866  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining rigs rental is that profitable? on: October 28, 2015, 02:08:40 PM
An ICO would make it profitable if the coin had a following and a decent price.  I got out of the mining game because Florida is too hot to keep home mining profitable and the power cost is to great for me.

The heat is a challenge for anyone that setup's a decent amount of miners.  I had to do a lot off CFM's of fans to get through the summer.

I'm lucky winter is coming and it's cooling down.  But for initial investment I now can mine during summers from this point on with using fan's and not AC which saves a lot of money.
Whats the ambient temp of your mining room? If I didn't use ac it would get up to 84 degrees inside which I didn't allow my miners to run in.  I mean how hot does a data center get?

It's already in winter air now so it's actually pretty cool.   Mine got hot during summer but I pushed it with lot's of CFM's.   I don't live in a area evaporation cooling would would work with humidity.

This is like 15k CFM pushing air through where miners are:

Then the problem was I needed more exhust so I used a lot nicer gable fan - http://www.homedepot.com/p/QuietCool-Professional-3013-CFM-Power-Gable-Mount-Attic-Fan-AFG-PRO-3-0/206047381

But on temp it was 80F ambient maybe some day's in 90F  at it's hottest.   But with all the CFM's it made it through it no problems.
4867  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Cloud Mining or Home Mining or Both? on: October 28, 2015, 01:59:05 PM
Mining days of the early adopters are gone. Mining today is a business, a big one. Home mining is finished unless one has free electricity.
Right now even 5 Th/s are nothing! I sold them before it was too late. I was not getting more than 350$ a month because of pool fees and electricity.

This is far from truth.  You really need to do some more ROI math.  Many were profitable home/hobby miners at 230 per coin.... and we have had a 70 dollar jump up per coin.  So that is really good.

What is your electricity rate?  Assuming 10 cents or so with new gear you should be doing pretty good.  Only way you were hurting is if electricity was to high or using to old of gear.
4868  Other / Archival / Re: Why I sold my S5 :/ on: October 28, 2015, 01:56:46 PM
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I want to get me something small they will make w little money and does not run hot and loud. Something I can run in my room or a extra room any ideas?

i think you should simply try to change the fan, after all the noise come from there, when this is done you can use any miner you want

i would go with the new s7(lite version) which is very efficient, and smaller than the big s7

The only thing is I predict it to run loud.   Even if they do have a lite coming out and go to 2 blades .   I don't see it being quiet.

And now the warranty is so tough if you mod fan's on bitmain gear you lose warranty.  So I'm not sure I would go with a new miner if he will be modding chances are.  just a high dollar item to lose warranty on.
4869  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is mining dead ? on: October 28, 2015, 01:54:03 PM
Mining keeps being unprofitable for the most, but there is some that can be able to roi on the next months and keep the miner active, when bitcoin reach above values, sure there is new miners and solo miners still trying to mine btc as they can afford it.

Yup! That is why bitcoin is going up $300 ATM, this is a sign that mining is still alive and it is great that when I hear mining enthusiast and changing their thoughts about mining Grin

And this is HUGE for miners I was profitable at 230.... so I was not hurting to bad during then.  Bring it up to 300 a coin... and I'm doing and feeling pretty good right now.

Mining is far from dead.   I think it's a pretty good period for it during this change.

BitcoinWisdom is a good site for market stats and difficulty charts. Here is a link to their calculator:
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

Or just google "bitcoin mining profitability calculator" if you don't like the answer that one gives you. Wink

Shit this is telling me that I've only got two weeks until difficulty makes me lose money?

I thought in first post it said "free" power?  Is it free or what is price of electricity?

We just need to know more to be able to anwser the question.

Avalon 4.1 is most quiet there is as far as recent miners.  Nothing compares to it as far as stock miner not modded. It is more expensive though.

You really need to look into modding.  I have a feeling you might end up with a S5 again an do a mod this time.
4872  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: October 28, 2015, 05:01:43 AM
just dont invest lol, ive haveplenty of bad experiences with investing in hyips, try opening up a faucet site and make money off the ad revenue, alhough itllbe tough to get started.

Its your bad I guess choosing the shitty hyips Cheesy actually it is profitable to invest on HYIPs if you invested on the right time and place Wink Still not recommended though cuz of the risks there.

I would not invest based on this.  Same could be said on Ponzi first in... has best chance of getting money back.  When they make a pyramid of money a little goes out as long as more is coming in.

But a lot of these once money flow from people stops.... they ride into sunset with what BTC they did not pay out.  Don't trust HYIP or ponzi schemes.... it's not a good long term investment.
4873  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PSU's on: October 28, 2015, 04:51:14 AM
The deal is only for USA, it's 159.99$ Canadian each, no rebate for multiple units.

It seems decent for ATX PSU's.  Wish they were a little bigger then 850's.   I like having fewer PSU's.

Ever since I figured out how well some server PSU's work I have not paid near as much attention to ATX psu's.  Server PSU's are just hard to beat on price and depending on which one you get they can have impressive power ratings if they were to to rated.
4874  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread oct 15th to oct 29th picks are closed!! With a bonus reward. on: October 28, 2015, 04:46:16 AM
We seem to have 2 threads indicating avalon 6's in early November.  We will see how good the sources are.  It will be interesting to see BM and Avalon both making gear.

It should be a good thing as far as price on miners (I'm hoping at least).  But it could be a bad thing on difficulty rise if both start pumping out machines.

On a good note coinbase hit 303.... impressive hopefully it stays and does not go down below again.
4875  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Cloud Mining or Home Mining or Both? on: October 28, 2015, 04:43:31 AM
OP, probably none of those two. Neither home nor cloudmining. But yes, you should do the research and realize this for yourself. Unfortunately mining game is over for all of the small people unless you have a lot of money to invest into asics and cheap electricity to power them.

Good luck and do your research. Don't get into something overwhelming that will just make you lose your money.

Would you guys suggest I just buy bitcoin and hold it for now?

Also, do any of you have large amounts of GH/s with hashnest? If so, how is that going?

I would highly suggest doing what you feel comfortable with.  Do some ROI math and look at difficulty and try to do a good  estimate on what it will bring you.

There are some with lots of GH's in cloud and some with none.  I personally love playing with gear so I have a lot of hardware and a little cloud.  But some hardware is not a option, so it all depends.  You should not base your investment off what others say on a board.  I like having my own ROI it makes me feel more secure.

It's a really individual thing as everyone's risk they take is different.  And amount they are able to use is different aswell never invest more then you can lose in any investment.

4877  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: October 28, 2015, 03:12:54 AM
If you have skill to show off , just promote your service and you will earn BTC 1 ++ for a month or less

Bitcoins is a thing that everybody wanna earn. There are many method to earn btc coins. Till now I have found 13 ways hope it is useful for you all
1) Lend BTC on a peer-to-peer lending service
2) Lend BTC on Chinese exchanges
....
Thanks

Lending is quite risky to earn some bits

It's true high risk but low rewards. Much better to put it on other investment alternatives with guaranteed profits.

What are you referring to with guaranteed profits?  It's pretty hard to find a investment that no matter what happens it's guaranteed ROI.

Sounds to good to be true to me.
4878  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Avalon 6 Vs Antminer S7, which one you will choose? on: October 28, 2015, 03:02:19 AM
okay 1300  plus shipping?

why no ehash  I do not know block c.

I'm not sure either I had good luck with ehash. So if I could stick with them chances are I would.  I'm would really need a announcement to switch companies.

But it is looking like possibly a GB item.
4879  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: October 28, 2015, 02:51:51 AM
I am having nothing but trouble with my new S7's.

Within a day of powering them up some heat sinks came off 2 of the boards from 1 miner, resulting in 2 out of 3 boards dying.

Today the same thing happened again which also resulted in 2 boards dying. I can only see 1 loose heat sink on 1 board in the 2nd miner but I am thinking that either I can't see other loose heat sink or the sudden drop of one board caused a spike to the 2nd board which caused it to die....

Bitmain asked me to connect each hashing board one by one to see if it works. Soon after I did this 2 more heat sinks fell off right near the out fan on miner 2 which caused melting of power connectors and fan! I am trying to get my warranty which I am damn well entitled too and by doing as Bitmain asks it is causing further damage!

http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af186/coinbeast1/miner%202%20after%20connecting%20one%20by%20one%20picture%202_zpswhce0pr9.jpg

http://i1006.photobucket.com/albums/af186/coinbeast1/miner%202%20after%20connecting%20one%20by%20one_zpsdriandhx.jpg

Ouch... that looks nasty. I hope you get your warranty sorted out. Make sure to document everything, which you seem to be doing already.

And despite what Bitmain tries to tell you I would inspect all remaining heatsinks before powering them up... something seriously wrong there. Ran out of glue or used wrong glue or something.

Thanks. I have asked for permission from Bitmain to allow me to remove and inspect all hashing boards before proceeding any further.

Thanks for sharing that is very very scary to see.  Only thing funny is photobucket offering prints of photos.... i doubt that is a memory you care to mount on the wall.

Most likely I bet Bitmain say's no and asks to ship it back looking at the damage.   If they do surprise me and let you open it up please share.
4880  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PSU's on: October 28, 2015, 02:46:58 AM
Seriously folks...

This an S3.

Find ANY 430w or 460w or whatever the cheapest Cooler Master, Antec, or whatever other $5 power supply that Goodwill has lying around or you can scrap out of some old PC.

Try the goodwill outlet for the $0.89/lb stuff.

You'll want one with at least two 15A 12v rails, or a single 12v rail of 30A or higher, try to find one with 2 PCI-E 6-pin connectors already attached, otherwise you may need to use the motherboard pins in creative fashion or get a HDD style molex to PCI-E adapter (these are usually 2 into 1), but will often cost you as much as a power supply, even though they shipped free with video cards for a couple years there and are plentiful in surplus locations and labs everywhere.

Think CHEAP!  This is an S3, right now, if your power is under $0.10 USD/kw, and you get a cheap enough supply, depending on what you paid for the unit, you might make some coin!

Good luck!

OP mentions that he has free electricity so it should be pretty easy for him to mine enough to cover the cost of the PSU and the S3.  Cheap is great if you're looking for faster ROI but in my mind I'd like something reliable that I could upgrade with.  Like if you went with the bare minimum to run the S3 with, if you ever decide to upgrade the S3 to say an S5, you'd have to buy another PSU either one powerful enough to run the S5 or use two PSUs to run a single S5.  I guess it depends on how much you plan to grow your farm or not.

I might be interested in a PSU philipma1957 if the OP's not interested.

Some PSU's are so cheap it's asking for trouble. I have burnt one PSU cord and ever since have paid for quality PSU's.  It's a little scary seeing the after math I got lucky and just the cheap adapter the PSU came with burnt.  But It made me think... do I want to sleep with that worry? I don't.

So get quality PSU's.   A new trend is server PSU's only thing is a lot of them tend to be loud.
