Like others said, it mean to buy when the price has fallen. Assume that the price have been at a certain figure for a long time, all of a sudden the price falls down, not a steady fall but and sudden/instant fall. This fall is called the dip. People suggests others to buy during the dip because they believe that the fall of the price is temporary and will eventually rise back to where it was initially.

Uhh.. I don't think there is anything to do with "being focused" when investing on crypto currencies. But I guess I do understand what you are trying to say. People who invest on altcoin are bit confused - this is true. Because altcoins has various kinds of coins and choosing the right one becomes tiresome. For this reason people keep on changing their opinion from one coin to another. On the other hand, bitcoin is just one kind of a coin. So when investing on it, there is nothing much to think about.

Just heard about block stream today. To be honest, this is not going to have much affect on the current market situations. People that are arguing and saying that users from underdeveloped countries can now use bitcoin needs to think clearly and straight. Do you really think people from countries that have no internet access knows about crypto currencies? Do you really think they can afford to invest on crypto currencies? Are they actually going to use it to make day to day transactions?

Well, they knew about the risks before joining I assume. Investing on crypto currencies comes along with high risks. They were willing to take the risks to make those handsome profits. Now it is totally useless to regret over those losses.
And yes, the price of bitcoin does affect the price of altcoins. When we see the price of bitcoin falling, we will see most of the altcoin dropping sharply. The same is true when the price rises. But in this case, the price of altcoin rises slowly compared to bitcoin.

I think that it is impossible to guess the lowest exchange rate of a coin in order to buy it. But there is always the opportunity to buy more when the coin has a lower value than when you bought it. So everyone does)
And for this reason, don't hold back investing on a coin looking for the lowest price to hit. Since you never know what point is the lowest, you might want to start investing as soon as you think the price has dipped enough. The more it starts to go down, the more you should be investing. First of all the crypto currencies are decentralized. This means that they have no control or power over it. The Government is power hungry and they do not like giving up full freedom to people specially when it is about money. They are actually not trying to stop the usage of crypto currencies, rather is trying to put on as much regulation as possible to bring indirect control over it. I see that BTC and ETH are two coins that have the highest capitalization in Coinmarketcap.
But I don't know why Bitcoin is still up and ETH always maintains current prices.

I see ETH is also rising but slowly compared to bitcoin. Just give it sometime. Since you are confused between bitcoin and ethereum, why don't you invest on both bitcoin and ethereum? Spread out your investment. This way you will be risking a bitcoin less as opposed to investing all on one coin. But I would still suggest you to invest more on bitcoin than ethereum. |

Of course. Nothing will last forever. Eventually everything will get replaced. But, this replacement is not going to be instant. It will probably takes decades before the replacement takes place. Like look at what happened to VHS tapes and VCRs. We don't use them anymore because something better has been developed which eventually took over. The same thing might happen with crypto currencies. They will be replaced with something better, but will take long enough before it actually happens.

if you are a trader and sell your assets when prices fall very deep then you are an amateur trader.
Sometimes it is better to sell off your investment to avoid further loss. Instead of just holding it and watching your investment value go down, if you think the price will dip further, then just sell off your investment. Once the minimum point has been reached, buy back the equivalent value. One thing that can make everyone want to buy BTC again is, there is a constant pump for 1 week like last year, where the price of BTC can reach 18k USD in just one week, and it really makes the public shock
if that happens again, chances are BTC will get more attention

They are investing their money with a hope that the price will rise in the future and will give them good profit. More people are using it as a long term investment rather than a medium of exchange. Unfortunately this is denying the proper use/adoption of crypto currencies. People will need to use it as a form of medium of exchange to see the true potential of crypto currencies.

Lets say you are a skilled Sports-book player and you have the ability to find safe games ( low odds ) around 1,5 in odds.
Instead of bet on Bet365, you take your money and exchange it into Bitcoins and plays your bet on a crypto casino. ( Nitrogen, Everbet, Sportsbet etc )
Ex, You exchange 1000 USD into 0.29 BTC
You play your safe bets with the goal to double or triple up your Bitcoins to 0,60-1 BTC, I have seen many players do this with fiat money, but here is the thing, When or IF you actually manage to double or triple up ( Hit n Run ) , you cash out directly and then you sit tight and just wait for the next Bull Run ( at least many of us believe and hope it will come one )
Lets say the bitcoin will reach 10K, then you sell your Bitcoins and you have done a pretty nice profit.
How is this a strategy? I don't actually get it. What would be the difference if you gambled at bet365 and converted your winnings to crypto? This is just a stupid thing to do. You could just go to a crypto casino and bet your coins with a low payout, no sport books hassle. If you want to gamble, just gamble. If you want to hold your crypto currencies just hold it. |

It hasn't recovered, it is still on its recovering phase. So this means that this phase might be temporary and the tides may turn anytime soon.
We don't need reasons for the market to recover. But still, the current price drop has given opportunity to the new investors to enter the market.
Just keep this in mind, we will see the price drop and rise but in the long run it will always head towards one way and we all know which way it is.

No one can stop bitcoin as there is no central authority since the currency is decentralized. This means the government has no particular organization to ban. Its a peer to peer network. So, if the government has to destroy bitcoin, they will have to stop every person from using it. Think of it like the torrent network. Has the government still been able to stop the usage of torrent for illegal usage and piracy? Nope.
