4861  Economy / Economics / Re: World's Second-Biggest Bank to Issue $3B in Bonds Tradable for Bitcoin on: November 15, 2020, 04:05:28 PM
based on the news, we identified the Bank also wanted to cover the Bitcoin exchange area. wasn't it that in the past any bank did not like the presence of bitcoin, citing the volatile price volume when bitccoin soared at the price of $ 15,000. and now they finally gave up and tried to go with the bitcoin flow. they want to double their bank position as one of the factors driving the current high price of bitcoin.
I assume that banks in China will continue to try to enter the Bitcoin exchange space on a large scale.

China is among the country with the largest capital inflows. They are getting all kinds of currencies like the Euro or USD, it's no secret that China tries to use less USD and switch to other currencies. Going into the crypto world and in particular the bitcoin market could definitely be a solution. Also with the size of trades China can do they will definitely go at large scale in the market.
4862  Other / Off-topic / Re: European Central Bank survey about digital euro on: November 15, 2020, 03:58:29 PM
Digital euro, there will be more transparency in the cryptocurrency, much of privacy invading means the governments of European union has finally been able to penetrate their citizens. The fiat lacks privacy but digital euro will make it worse, people and their digital euro will be easily tracked, and what known to people is the information hackers needs in order to impersonate or trying to hack someones device for money stealing.

The European central Bank should definitely be able to create a stable digital currency. Demand for a digital Euro is strong for younger people. Buy if I look at my parents, they would never use it. I'm general I would say we are looking for coins that are outside of the reach of governments and central banks. But with such a reknown institution like the ECB it could help a lot to spread the ideas of crypto currencies and make them more attractive.
4863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Gang uses crypto for illegal purposes on: November 15, 2020, 03:48:18 PM
Gambling in itself is illegal in China. Some wealthy people do visit Hong Kong and Macau to gamble while Chinese near the boarder visit the bordering country for gambling. But for most of the people has no choice than to indulge in illegal gambling. The customs check in China is strict and it's difficult now to move money through and into China, so crypto coimes as a choice.
It's a classic example of authorities not being able to restrict the flow of money.

I agree with you, crypto currencies is just a tool for the people. If they had no access to crypto currencies the people would still gamble. It might make it a bit easier, but banning crypto coins just to fight illegal is wrong in my opinion. There are so many investors in the crypto 5eho are not using bitcoins to gamble. They just want to store value in a non fiat currency and are looking for security.
4864  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid vaccine: First 'milestone' vaccine offers 90% protection on: November 15, 2020, 03:44:14 PM
i think it's just the same crap we heard multiple times from Russia and the US, but it's still better than the drug they tried in Brazil that resulted in
a death of a volunteer, let's just hope for the best, we can't do anything about it, it's in their hands.

But Pfizer and biontech are both listed companies, both of them need to accept other forms of supervision than the Russian government. I don't think it's possible to say you have a vaccine which doesn't actually work. Just look at the large number of investors in the companies. The stock prices made insane jumps. Imagine it's just a hoax, they could be sued for billions probably by investors. And Pfizer is such a huge company with so many different divisions.
4865  Other / Off-topic / Re: Electricity, Internet and Mobile Network on: November 15, 2020, 03:36:55 PM
Electricity is the most important good these days. Almost all of the current gadgets we use in the developed world need electricity to run. The most important advancements we make here is in my opinion solar energy and better batteries. Even the most remote village in Africa with no infrastructure or access to a power plant can produce their own local energy with solar panels. Having electricity at home creates so many opportunities for people that it should be our goal to give every human in this planet access to it.

4866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers lose more money than win. on: November 15, 2020, 03:23:55 PM
I think most gamblers are already aware that we lose more than what we win in gambling, yet we continue gambling because some gamblers want to get back what they lost. Like you have said, gambling is not simple because aside from playing, we also need to control our emotions, greed, and to have proper management of our funds. The factors you mentioned is a common strategy for casinos because that's their way to attract and lure gamblers to keep on gambling for them to earn more profit. But it's up to us how are we going to control ourselves from too much temptation.

I would argue that the majority of gamblers might lose on average over a longer period of time, but these loses are usually fairly small. The expected value on most games is usually 80-95 cents on the dollar. So if we gamble every month with 100 USD we should atleast earn 80 USD back. This of course is just the average gambler. There are also the lucky few who end up winning the jackpots and make a lot of money.
4867  Other / Off-topic / Re: What did you do during the corona virus? on: November 15, 2020, 03:15:27 PM
For me, when the corona virus lockdown started and I see btc price falling more, I bought more bitcoin.

Congratulations, you must have got really nice returns. I wish I had bought more coins unfortunately I didn't have much spare money this year. Atleast I didn't sell any coins, so I still profited from the up tick. If prices would drop again to 10k after Christmas, I would also buy more.
4868  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is planting trees actually good for the planet? on: November 15, 2020, 03:12:13 PM
Due to climate change and deforestation the country is suffering from heavy rains temperature fluctuations and storms. has been urged to plant more trees and increase forest cover. But due to our unawareness and lack of love for trees the number of trees in the country is declining. The storm is being damaged in the rain we have to save the tree for ourselves. All the responsibility of proper care and growth of the tree is ours. So it is very important for us to be aware of this. Trees are man's friends not slaves man and tree complement each other. So let's love the tree take care not only of planting trees but also of caring for and growing trees.

I agree with you, almost all countries are experiencing more extreme weather in the last 10 years. Saying that the climate is not changing is wrong. We can all help to fight the climate change right now, instead of waiting until its too late. Planting trees is a good solution to help the climate to recover to normal levels. In highly populated areas it might be difficult to find appropriate areas. But we could plant trees in very remote areas.
4869  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 15, 2020, 03:06:30 PM
The new vaccine by Pfizer and biontech looks really promising. With a 90% immunity it could really be the breakthrough we desperately need. The government already ordered 100 million doses of the vaccine and with grown people needing 2 shots it would mean that around 65-70% of the population could be vaccined. The only thing I am scared of is the side effects, there is not much information available yet.
4870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multiplayer vs single player games on: November 14, 2020, 11:41:32 AM
I would like to play and gamble multiplayer games with my friends because they help me decide and have the courage to bet in every game. It is also more entertaining, and when you play with your friends because even you lost, you still get to smile and laugh with them. Unlike playing alone, no one will support and keep you calm when you experience losing consecutive times.

I agree, playing multiplayer games with friends is so much fun. I would like to do the same with glambing. Gambling in a physical casino with friends is awesome. Getting a similar experience online would be great. Most of my friends are unfortunately very cautious when it comes to online gambling. You are right that when gambling with friends it's much easier to keep focusing on your winnings.
4871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 14, 2020, 09:32:38 AM
I have bet myself of quite a few CSGO, Dota and LOL games over the last few years. But what about Age of Empires 2? Anyone knows if there are chances to bet on the big tournaments as well? For example the big 2vs2 Worldcup coming up this month, with the finals to be played right before Christmas. I know the follower base of AoE2 is fairly small compared to CSGO but there are is a lot of money involved in the games these days, with price money of more than $10k for the top finishers.
4872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Indian boy committed suicide after losing money by Betting in IPL on: November 14, 2020, 08:35:15 AM
The problem with this news is that it is used by people who want to ban gambling to try to show how disastrous it is, when the truth is that most people who gamble do so responsibly. It's like trying to show how bad alcohol is by telling the story of an alcoholic who ends up committing suicide or dying of liver cirrhosis.

Extreme cases have always existed and will continue to exist, but we should not make them the norm.

It is all about individual's responsibility as a gambler, I do not feel what he felt before so I do not have any idea of how hard that situation that resulted for him to end his own life but one thing is sure which is he didn't manage to think right where he let himself to control by his emotion. Before we become a gambler, we should accept the fact that losing is inevitable because there is no guarantee of profit here in gambling. This kind of event should be a lesson for those gamblers out there to manage to control the emotions and only invest our put money that you can afford to lose. For me the boy committed suicide because for sure he do not know how to regain and payback the money that just he borrowed from his friends.

This is really sad, a life lost which was completely unnecessary. There were definitely other solutions to his problems. And it's a mistake by his friends and family to not help him to find these way out. Probably they didn't know and he never confined in them.

I hope many others take this incident as lesson to learn from, so something similar won't happen again. We should never bet everything we have on o é bet. And mixing friendship with business can be very problematic too.
4873  Other / Off-topic / Re: Sleeping on: November 14, 2020, 08:20:48 AM
Sleep has become a big problem for me lately. I cannot sleep more than 5 hours a day, the circadian clock is constantly changing. the impact is not too big but I need to improve soon

I depends from individual to individual, for some people it might be enough sleep. But for me 5 hours is just not enough, I maybe can do it for 2-3 days but then my concentration drops drastically. It's best in my opinion tk find a food sleep rhythm of atleast 6-7 hours and try to stick to it as many days as possible during the week. On the weekend we can usually sleep longer.
4874  Economy / Economics / Re: Need of the hour : Use the Crisis on: November 14, 2020, 08:16:35 AM
During this difficult times we have to think of other ways to earn income since a lot of people don't have a job because of this pandemic. The trend lately in our country is doing food business online, selling food online which is easier to attract customers. Also what I did to earned is selling baked goods which are also in demand because some people don't want to go to any store to buy foods to avoid this virus. So we have to think other ways to to earn to survive during this crisis since we can't rely on all of our needs from the government.

Doing an online business from home is probably the best idea during the corona pandemic. If we can income from home while staying save from the virus and protect our families would be awesome. I thought myself about doing something in the food area but in my country its very competitive at the moment. Due to the new lockdown all the restaurants and bars are closed. The only way for them to get any income right now is either by the government, which is usually not enough, if by doing delivery services of food. It's very hard for a new player to get into that business.
4875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 14, 2020, 07:45:05 AM
One more issue I find with sport betting is that the casinos and bookies offer a lot oromitions. Before every big tournaments I see ads in my country where you either get a 100% deposit bonus, or a free $10 bet if you bet $20 and more. For the average gambler taking advantage off these promotions and only bets on games he is comfortable with he should be making money in my opinion. The most important thing in my opinion is to know when to stop. Saving at least some of your winnings can make a huge difference over time. We must adapt to our bankroll and refrain from going all in.
4876  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 14, 2020, 06:29:26 AM
I think Biden is more open to new ideas than Trump. Trump once tweeted how he considered Bitcoin and crypto to be fraud and money from thin air. While the approach of Biden is a bit different. He is open to new ideas and uses of technology. With "science" as in his manifesto, I think he will look into the matter of Bitcoin and Crypto with positive eyes.

I think Biden is good for the crypto world too. Just by looking at the prices of the biggest crypto coins we see that almost all of the rallied since the USA election. Bitcoin alone is almost up 60% over the last few weeks. In my opinion the Democrats are more open towards free trade and will likely cancel some of Trump protectionistic economic reform. Hopefully we will see higher prices through out the next for your years in the crypto world.
4877  Other / Off-topic / Re: HIV positive workers on: November 13, 2020, 06:01:38 PM
These has been bordering me and I want to know if there is way to solve these. Many companies offer medical checkups to their newly employed staffs to be sure of their medical status and wellness. There are lots of employees who fall victim of HIV after employment and have resumed work fully, now they  have access to the company facilities and interact with other staffs.

The question is “ Should employees who tested positive of HIV tell their employers about their status” ?

In my opinion companies should support their employee with medical problems. HIV is still a very severe illness which can't be cured. And if the companies know about the illnesses of their employees it's much easier to provide the correct surroundings and security measures to protect the customer and Co workers.
4878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: November 13, 2020, 05:24:04 PM
gambling is one of the funniest way for passing time. it's absolutely entertainment and not business (unless you are a poker pro player Cheesy )
people that doesn't realize this difference are just playing in a nervous way, without enjoying the pleasure of a bets.
I am glad to see the result of the poll Smiley it means that vast majority of players have the same idea about gambling

I agree, the poll shows that most people view gambling as entertainment. The 6 guys voting for No probably pressed the wrong button 😅 there are some people who can't find anything positive in gambling and either lost some money in the past or just never really tried it.

Most of us here on the forum can have a good time with gambling and it's definitely an entertainment.
4879  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: November 13, 2020, 04:52:26 PM
Not yet. Corona virus will not be the reason that push bitcoin as the world currency as we all know that there are many alternative for fund transaction online if a person is scared to hold physical money. But this pandemic can help bitcoin to boost its market.

This corona pandemic definitely boosted the market share of Bitcoin's. In my opinion its a great opportunity for the crypto world. The last few weeks showed how strong the bitcoin market really is. The more investors we cam convince to invest in bitcoins the higher the prices in the future. And with higher prices the chances of Bitcoin becoming the first world currency rises too. It will probably take another few years but the possibility is definitely there.
4880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multiplayer vs single player games on: November 13, 2020, 03:32:42 PM
This is great news, multiplayer games are a great addition to casinos in my opinion. I am travelling this weekend but likely have some time on Sunday evening to give your new fand a try. Chatting while playing the same game as other gamblers sounds pretty cool. For me just gambling alone gets a bit boring from time to time. It's cool to see how other gamblers are doing and if you can share your winnings with others directly. I hope there will be more multiplayer games coming in the future.
