4861  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Brought Bitcoin in 2017 and sold in 2018 on: April 16, 2020, 06:44:41 AM
In investment, don't borrow other people's money because this will greatly affect your finances. I only use the assets available to invest because it makes me feel more comfortable and greatly reduce the psychological burden.
Thats a good mindset to follow. However you will not always have money at hand to buy coins at the time of low price, where you need to buy for that future pump. So at such times the traders do need to take a loan and enter the market.

Quote
In the past, I invested in this market a lot and brought a very good profit in a short time. However, the greed has cost me a lot and it is the most valuable lesson of my life.
Greed does kill but in trading you can take calculated risks and based on indicators you may be able to predict movements.

Surely someone who bought at wrong times will be lamenting since market has been going bearish more often than bullish and is no close to reaching that 5figure USD mark.
4862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Need a Catalyst to push up prices on: April 16, 2020, 06:41:21 AM
Have you ever come across projects with very good use cases but where been build by dubious developers to use as pump and dump scheme? You shouldn't underestimate scammers, no matter how careful you really are you are still going to fall unless you aren't into new projects at all
Is that not every one and all of the altcoins? None of these projects have any legal binding with securities exchange commission (SEC) and neither it cryptocurrency a regulated commodity. Problem began when bitcoin became an asset worth buying at low and selling at high and began to draw attention of a lot of idiots who were not in the position to buy it.

Scammers saw this opportunity and began to develop on shitcoins to show and fool these bagholders into buy these shitcoin promising then that these coins are the future. Thats how shills came in existence.

However bearish market trends made such bad impacts and revealed the truth of these scams. But the money these people lost is lost forever, at least for now and several years from now.
4863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to improve the usability of bitcoin? on: April 16, 2020, 06:37:27 AM
Security needs to be improved for the usability of bitcoin. Security needs in terms of transactions.
There is already enough security for transactions by the mining process. It is a core process of bitcoin and it is what keep the network safe from attacks.

Quote
There are some people also being hacked and loses their bitcoin holdings.
Almost always the fault lies at the end of the victim, not a problem with bitcoin or its use. If someone downloads unsoliticied email attachments and runs them without checking, leaves coins on exchanges and uses same passwords on different sites then nobody can save their coins from being stolen.

Quote
With a safe and secure wallets, people will become at ease and will not worry about their bitcoins on their wallets.
Wallets dont give security. The user has to secure their devices and leave no loose ends.

Quote
Also, faster transactions are the also one factor need to the improvement of usability of bitcoin.
Looks like you have not been up to date with lightning network developments.
4864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: April 15, 2020, 06:13:54 AM
Traders are professional gamblers.
Thats where everyone goes wrong. Professional gamblers are not really gamblers anymore.

You see we can broadly divide gamblers into two groups, one who are addicted and will not stop till their debt becomes enormous and another who are wise enough that their loss becomes painful and they stop playing never to play again but find out other methods to earn from the casino, for example, affiliate marketing and casino bankroll investments.

The professional gamblers will come to the second group now. They will promote casinos and get paid for it but they are not gambling in reality. They have become the house now. Wink

Does this affect their reputation? Maybe not because although those who are envious of their earnings will make bad comments about them but as long as you have a IDGAF attitude, it will not matter anymore. Grin
4865  Economy / Economics / Re: What N America and Europe need to start on now! on: April 15, 2020, 06:09:22 AM
Returning some production to the United States from other countries is quite expensive. All of them were handed down due to rather high salaries and other financial indicators.
The cheap labor comes from the third world countries though. Thats why the first world countries make sure to keep them in third world and not allow them to develop further and compete with them. It is a part of the world politics and policies. Though currently the divide is less known because everyone is cooperating if needed.

Quote
Of course, they may return, but then they will need to sell drugs more expensively, and this will reduce demand.
Thats called overthinking. People will suffer from this condition no matter a cure if found or not. It is currently a very grim situation.

Quote
The only option is assistance from the government, which compensates for part of the costs.
Governments are already doing what they can. People have to make comments sitting from home though without going to the real scenario, which is not called for.
4866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty choosing a trading platform on: April 15, 2020, 06:03:28 AM
Don't let anyone recommend a platform for to trade, take my advice because we have lots of scam exchangers around the crypto world now. The best of it all I came to know when I started trading is BITTREX AND BINANCE.
In that sense every exchange can turn into a scam tomorrow.

Question is, whos problem is it? The trader's problem. They need to trade but they cant find a place to trade. This is a difference with the stock market where you can sign up with a broker. Here you have to put your trust in the older and well known names and see which ones works out for you. Generally the ones that people from your country use is the one that you should also use and never leave coins after trading has been completed. This is better said that done because after all, not all orders will be executed immediately.
4867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market stability is not ascertain. We might fall again on: April 15, 2020, 05:56:57 AM
Even if this pandemic will be over soon, we cannot expect for the crypto market to be stabilized. As long as there are whales that continue to manipulate the market, there will always be high volatility that will keep on dumping and pumping the market price.
The entire world's economy is down to a worse level than the last depression according to IMF. Now if things continue like this we will see worse conditions not worth talking about. Lets hope that condition becomes better soon and the markets become stable if not increasing in price. Economies are an important point of note for every government at this time and they are trying to keep it afloat.

Whales will be hoarding fiat for their uses though because they also need to survive, so the market crashes. It will take them time to recover too. But how long to recover is a different discussion. Wink
4868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Break You Have On Not Gambling on: April 14, 2020, 06:19:36 AM
Same here, some of my friends recommend esports because its the only available at the moment but it's really not gonna give you some satisfaction if you are not too familiar with it.. I am also an sports bettor but there's nothing we can do now but wait..
It would be a wrong decisions to jump into something that you are less familiar with due the withdrawal effect of normal gambling that you are having now. Dont let yourself break your good streaks on those sports that you had previously by betting on something that you do know. Instead use this time to spend more time with family and take part in some indoor activities and working out - things that people normally miss during hectic times.

You could also learn eSports to be able to bet on them but you know that for keeping the outcome of your sports betting EV+ you need to know your game and analysis.
4869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Sometimes hunters are to be blame on: April 14, 2020, 06:15:22 AM
its just sad to think that they should at least utilize their time into something more productive or to things that can give out positive outcome on due time.
People learn by making mistakes. I am sure many of them did learn, while some other just post their anger in different social media channels like the ANN threads, telegram channels, blaming the project or the bounty manager. The basic concept behind this is that free money is a gimmick and does not exist, in reality.

Quote
Im aint perfect too but i already learned enough and long time stopped on doing bounty hunting due to unprofitability reason. No one cant stop us in our actions but we should really be sensible or try to look around on whats the actual happening or chances on making money.
Good thing you changed your ways. Humans are slaves of their habits and being able to change your habit is worth some appraisal. Its not about profitability but about dignity that bounty hunters lose when doing bounties with full enthusiasm and being forced to sell off their KYC for the reward, which again ends up being worthless in the market.
4870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any good new staking coins coming on the market? on: April 14, 2020, 06:06:51 AM
I see a lot of people are posting about PoS coins and staking coins but do you all realize that in general when you are storing your coins as a pledge/collateral to gain more coins as a "passive income", you are exposing your money to being stolen as well. More so if you have to send them to a wallet to store and not holding them in your own wallet. You are not in control of your private keys then.

The wallet software could be malware too, if you are not careful with using a sandbox to test it first. More so because everyone in this forum is looking for methods to make money and that allows hackers to set such traps.

Keep your view limited to bitcoin and you will be much safe. I have said this in many such threads previously as well, still I see newbies getting hacked and scammed.
4871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So many new cryptocurrency exchange now, Are they safe to trade? on: April 14, 2020, 06:02:48 AM
so even if you only use Bitcoin but your country fiat is not supported in the exchange, you will find one that does right?
In such cases the is a problem for the trader. Either they have to stop trading and wait till a proper and well maintained exchange comes up that supports their local currency or withdraw their coins and use a P2P trade to clear out their coins and luiqdate to fiat currency, basically means ending their trading of crypto.

Now when a new exchange that supports their own country's fiat appears it would again be better to wait till they become established, get verified there and then use the same principle of not leaving coins on exchanges to be safe. Of course one can be never be safe of sudden hacks and exit scams when their orders are still on hold, but that how it is here.
4872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Business That Survives when a Crisis on: April 13, 2020, 05:37:49 AM
Those owner of the casino are don't have choice to closed or stop operating because that is from the government.
Unfortunealy they have to close business if the government asks them to. But the thing is that owners and investors need not worry since they are already rich as anything.

Quote
Online gambling owner are happy for sure it because most of the player play to their gambling site.
Not exactly. You have to understand that in order to run an online site you need to have land based developers, support teams and other humans involved in it. These people need to work as well. So if there is a lockdown and they can work from home then its good. But this leads to a lot of logistical problem to the team. Still it is possible to run the site like this.

Quote
There is a lot of advantages of playing online than old gambling.
That is the wrong way of thinking. There is both advantages and disadvantages. Learn to look at things from both sides of the spectrum. Wink
4873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What matters to grow the price of an Altcoin on: April 13, 2020, 05:27:06 AM
Inherent supply demand generation drives the price of any coin. If you a system of spending the coins on a certain service or marketplace and those services are very much in demand, maybe not pricey but needed in quantity then the demand for the coin will rise. This will also be propagated by good marketing methods of reaching out to those users who are going to use this coin to pay for the services. It is not a one word answer, in reality it takes a lot of work and often marketing is not done properly or the team does not agree on things.

Till date only bitcoin has been able to do this. Merchants have slowly started accepting bitcoin in many places and it is being bought and sold like this.
4874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade and make a profit in a Volatile market on: April 13, 2020, 05:22:01 AM
Im also been intrigue with this kind of method of trading and how it works for example you've borrow $1000 and got busted with no money to pay, how would the exchange charge you, if you can just leave the site instead ?
Nah it is not that easy. To open up a margin trading account they will ask you for some more stuff like some coins as collateral to be stored against which you are taking the loan in the form of leverage. If it was that easy to defraud the exchange then margin trading would not exist at all. You will lose that money if you exit the site. You would otherwise have to pay it from your pocket. Also there are liquidation fees to stop your position from getting liquidated during the run.

Besides exchanges make a lot of money from selling their margin trading service to the people who are ready to gamble on market positions compared to what they make on spot trading.
4875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So many new cryptocurrency exchange now, Are they safe to trade? on: April 13, 2020, 05:15:48 AM
Do not use new exchanges, there are high chances of hacks and exit scams, top exchanges are the best and just because they are the best do not leave your coins on them, anything can happen, your coins will be more safer in your wallet
The demand for the newer exchanges comes from the fact that some investors want to take the risk with newly launched currencies. These ICO/IEOs need to list themselves somewhere due to public demand and thus they have to fund it too. So now the newer exchanges give them a easy deal than Binance who asks for huge listing fees. Thus the partnership between a new token for a new exchange happens and leads a lot of exchanges popping up everywhere.

If you are into bitcoin trading only then you will not face these problems which is IMO the safer and more sane way to trade here. More you get into the newer shitcoins, more you are taking risks.
4876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the safest crypto online games to start if you are a Newbie? on: April 12, 2020, 06:53:19 AM
I voted for sports betting, it doesn't matter if you are a newbie as long as you understand what you are doing.
But how do you expect a newbie to know about sports betting right away? There are so many terms that they need to first learn and be acquainted with before they can even start deciding whom to bet on. Not doing so means a higher risk of losses.

Of course one can say, "why think so much just bet on this guy because he looks good" - but that approach will make it not more than another trial at luck or an EV- game like dice.

Quote
Winning or being consistent will not happen overnight, it will take time but at least when you start your journey being a sports betting, you can grow here by developing your skills, other games that you just rely on luck to win, you don't grow there, so don't be serious with those kinds of games.
So does dummy betting not seem a good option like dummy trading? You wont lose any real money but the player will understand the essence of sports betting. Th greed it easy for taking over so it needs a method to be kept in control and discipline.
4877  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin trading. Where to start? on: April 12, 2020, 06:47:07 AM
in my opinion, it is difficult to trade because of the large amount of capital and collateral, don't bet your money on a doubtful transaction to avoid high risk.try to choose bitcoin for a long term investment.
These are difference in opinions and methods you know. Spot trading vs Margin trading is a debate and this never ends. Some people like to take risks and try the gambling portion that options and futures provide them while some try to hold it as an asset and sell or buy to profit. While the market is being stagnant or not moving much up or down the spot traders are basically helpless and not having any trade to do because for them to make a profit they need the high upswing to sell or high downswing to buy.

So there comes the demand for another method of making money which is Margin. Thats how this has developed and mind you volume of margin trading is way more than Spot trading in average.
4878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So many new cryptocurrency exchange now, Are they safe to trade? on: April 12, 2020, 06:42:36 AM
Since there is a lack of regulation and legal lacking in cryptcurrency and its trading, you have to assume that every exchange is going to scam one day and then decide how to proceed. The ones who have established business and a registered business somewhere on the mainlands can be trusted to a larger degree than the ones running from less known island/offshore businesses - which is done for several reasons one of which is tax evasion.

Now for new exchanges you are always at risk of them being scam. So dont use them as soon as they start but wait for others to review it and also check the legitimacy of these reviews.

For established exchanges, use the exchange as long as you need to trade. Once you are done trading withdraw your coins.
4879  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management , how ? on: April 12, 2020, 06:36:53 AM
Under current market circumstances, it is difficult to manage detailed risks, it is much easier to generalize them.
Right now the only risk is chance of going down. Market is recovering though the world will take longer time to recover.

Quote
I mean that you should lay the worst possible outcomes of events that are possible on the market, and be guided by these catastrophic scenarios as your own risks in the process of your investments.
If you really do that then you will never be able to make a proper sane decision on how to buy or sell. Anything can happen but just because a pandemic is currently happening does not mean it will happen every other year. But the market will have a bad effect on the economy. There can be calculated risks but not an overtly outlier risk calculation.

Quote
In this case, you will always be ready for the worst, which means you will not get into a situation where you do not know what to do next.
It seems ideal that way but it is way more complicated if you jump into the real thing even with a lot of analysis and charts at hand. Wink
4880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: April 11, 2020, 07:14:10 AM
it doesn't matter if we use crypto  it will not eliminate drugs and alcohol, because its a different problem from gambling addiction,
The simple explaination is that human vices are not dependent on the currency used to pay for them but their inherent habit of being addicted to them.

Quote
it should be deal by the family because i think that's the only way to solve it, gambling addiction may be also a discussion in the family, crypto currency is made for fster transactions and using paperless payments for faster transactions but not with a person's personal and health issue or problems.
I believe cryptocurrency has a much bigger platform of usage maybe not currently and since gambling has been found to be the biggest method to spend crypto second to trading, that is why see such outcomes. However in future I do expect the acceptance of crypto into many other merchants and people using it so this graph might change a lot.

Of course if gambling becomes a problem them they have to deal with the addiction. If they run out of crypto, they will look for fiat, there is no end to the cycle unless the person is determined to keep it under control.
