4881  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommendations for Real Cryptocurrency Casinos on: January 15, 2023, 08:16:12 AM
Okay, so after seeing the further posts, it's just that OP would rather play with pure crypto, instead of its value tied to fiat.

For instance, he would prefer betting 1,000 Sats rather than the dollar value.

Betfury and Crypto.games support this, although I see the owner of the latter already posted before mine.

I like to be enlightened are all casinos have this option Stake.com are also doing this you can bet through sats and many casinos also have this option although I like Betfury because you can convert your crypto to dollar equivalent when betting a feature that is not available on many casinos but of you checked the most popular casinos they support casinos with the current set up as long as they are reputable, reputation is everything in the Crypto world it always precedes the casino.
People can go in these times for casinos where they have a better experience with fiat money but we know that it is because the value of crypto is low, and players can better measure their money aptitude with fiat money, but I forget about this, I just focus on what a cryptocurrency represents for me, it may be that people see this as a different culture, I forget about the value of fiat and I focus on multiplying my cryptocurrency, it doesn't matter if I lose a lot or a little, I just want to increase my chances of having more because when I have more value, the money in fiat will be a lot.

I don't think a literate person should think much about this because it's all about betting and the right calculation/exchange, and whether it's Bitcoin or fiat, it doesn't matter. The value of the wager itself shouldn't be the reason why anyone should be scared to use crypto, this is about simple calculations, and the betting will all be risked correctly.

One should only be wary of the casino that would force a high crypto wagering minimum on them, that is the only where issues would arise in this regard.

Manchester United gave a good fight to Manchester city despite that the opportunity that was gotten by Rashford was not utilized well in the first half but that is football you make mistake to learn is only when you always repeat the same mistakes that you are tagged an unskillful and bad player, manchester city got the total possession of the match but the fail to defend the first goal the scored in second half which caused them the victory, the rate at which Manchester United aqualized the game was surprising, congratulations to Manchester United for a well deserved winning.
Manchester united climbing the 4th position is a sure deal for them if they continue playing with this momentum. Manchester United gave a good fight in the first after Manchester City took possession of the match.

I wasn't expecting the win though from Manchester United. I predicted a draw match from both teams. Lucky was damn on Manchester United after scoring an offside goal that the referee didn't blow.
Honestly the outcome of this match surprised everyone many soccer analysts had tipped Man City to win, I predicted a draw, Man Utd played brilliantly infact Marcus Rashford two chances in first half of the match would have settled the match, this is indeed an improved Red Devils who played their best match under Erik Ten Hag today, it's unbelievable that Man City had a single shot on goal throughout the duration of the match, Man Utd midfielders never gave Kevin DeBryne much chance to link up with Haaland who was equally well marked which I believe is Man Utd game plan which was well executed.
Another great performance from Manchester United and finally they have managed to win over City. Rashford is performing continuously and he is improving so fast. Casemiro is outstanding and his contribution is a lot for this win. I thought also match may end with draw but a good comeback by Manchester United within short time.
I never believed that the match could turn out to be what it is, Man U did a good job, and so was Man City. But the City like that of the beginning of this season is lacking, more needs to be done in the area of their aggressive attack as it was. Man U has proven they are fully back, and they are now a single point below City, which is a serious threat to them in the second position.

Another mistake from City would cost them more. It's only Arsenal that is still comfortable in the first position, the second position will now be keenly contested by United and City, and I don't have a preference between the two anymore.

But why does it say 0.2 in the lower right corner? And why would someone fake something like that?
You surprised me with this question, how many people had claimed that they are Satoshi Nakamoto? Of course, many of them. For that same view/reason alone, anyone could come forward to claim anything for themselves and their website, in some cases to gain recognition. People could do things for any reason, that's why I maintain the ground that only Satoshi could explain from the beginning to the end the challenges he faced, the prototypes of things before they eventually made into the bitcoin we are seeing and appreciate today. And this must come from a channel that is well known to be linked to him, not otherwise
4884  Economy / Speculation / Re: Starting to Think The Bottom May Be Close? on: January 15, 2023, 07:17:09 AM
I have been thinking over the last few days that the bottom for Crypto may be closer than we think?
You have every reason to believe that the market has bottomed now, but we should not get carried away by that at the moment, the market could be surprising. As the year 2023 just started, today is barely the second week of the year, and what the market does now should not be a total representation of what it would do for the most part of the week.

What matters is for us to stay connected with our charts and economic realities for proper speculation and view adjustments. What helped BTC to rise this week is the US CPI, and that might have a few more days of impact on it before it starts doing what it wants through the real market sentiment.
Yeah, it is doing very well but I disagree that it shouldn't represent all of 2023.
Basically, by nature of any market, you should accept that what Bitcoin is doing now should not represent what it would entirely do in 2023. I was even surprised by your certainty tone that has concluded what it would do this year. With years of trading experience, I had seen a market that started a year very badly but dominated with good performance throughout the year.

This year has just started, so I insist that we should not decide for the whole year yet, and with the bad performance of last year, BTC can't be speculated to be bullish so early. Though it is bullish now and I have gained money from it, we should continue speculating daily, weekly and monthly and not be so certain of anything.
4885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: January 14, 2023, 04:49:31 PM
I confess that I had not read this topic in detail.
I imagine that some of these types of criteria may be more relevant than others, not all people think the same way and consequently the same type of criteria cannot be relevant to another person, I even dare say that most of these characteristics /criteria are subjective (of course, some more than others)
I suppose some characteristics which make a good gambler are going to change depending on the games you prefer to play, but at the same time there are other characteristics that I would guess should be pretty much the standard and self-explanatory, like keeping your gambling money separated from the rest of your money and never touch it should be one of the most basic skills of a good gambler, as if someone is incapable of even doing this much then they will eventually get into money problems.
Planning and discipline are the best characteristics of gamblers that I know, but it's unfortunate that we will hardly see such in gambling. Many gamblers believe they need to bet according to how money flows in, but this is wrong. Their betting style should be budgetary as management and discipline play a very good part in this regard.

To me, and in addition to what you have explained, gamblers should have separate accounts to be more accountable in their day-to-day gambling, and on no account should they exceed it.

This is a good subject to me, it might have been on the forum before, but I have never seen something like this till now. Well, my advice to you is that you should not worry yourself about this, only Satoshi could tell the truth about it as many tests and samples would have been carried out before concluding on the recent design. Just like the name, Satoshi remains a mystery as we only know the pseudonym for reference purposes, such you are seeking can't be fetched, it will remain a mystery.

4888  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: January 14, 2023, 11:36:23 AM

Duelbits continue to bring more and more bonuses with a little obligation in wagering , for years now we have seen many of those so lets wait for the next one , have not been actively betting in the last few weeks or at least month but keeps tracking what bonus given at the certain time for more happy and contented gaming experiences .
Sometimes wagering requirements can be issue for small gamblers who can't afford to bet high but these types of promotion where you have to wager 1x can be completed by many and have a chance to earn some rewards over it which is great.Duelbits have lot of promotion running and active bonus to players to keep them motivated and chance for them to earn rewards which is why it's liked by many gamblers.
It's of course one of the selling points of any company with many competitors to have side perks that would make their customers stay and also attract new customers. But it's not every company that could dare to issue out the big bonuses that Duelbits is offering, what if most customers win? It takes the bigness and the reliability of the company to be able to beat its chest for such promotions.

Once the player could fulfil their part by fulfilling the requirements, then the money they win is theirs regardless of how big it is. This is a win for Duelbits's customers.
4889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 14, 2023, 11:16:30 AM
Manchester city VS Manchester united match is happening today for people to know if Manchester united will break record in this season, because Manchester united are still far from first and second position in this premier league table. If Manchester united can defeat Manchester city in this match, i think they will be able to win this season title but Manchester city will never allow such defeat to happen in this match than to disgrace Manchester united with many goals. Manchester city will defeat Manchester united 3-1 to achieve three points from this match, because they are capable to make it happen in this match.
I simply can't wait for this match, it's such that has generated so many arguments offline and online. But you are too confident by expressing that Man City would win Man U with an outright 3-1, I can't be so bold about the outcome. Man U is doing well, even better than Man City in their recent performances, but today's match would be different psychologically.

Man City would give all it takes to win Man U in this match, except that I don't know what the exact outcome would be. Yet, Man City is to score at least 2 goals and beat Man U as they mostly do.
4890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Video how i turn 0.3 ethereum into 0.6 ethereum in dice on: January 13, 2023, 03:12:37 PM
Against my usual principle, I painstakingly watched this video, it's too small in resolution but still able to know what the content is. Well, you have done well this time, congratulations to you. Nonetheless, my hope is that you would be able to replicate this later, because the rolling of the dice is a game of luck, so thank your star/luck at that time not even your skill as you might have thought.

Dice rollers could testify to this, there are moments for it when you might be happy, and it could punish you if you believe you are skilful in it.
4891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder versus Andy Ruiz Title Eliminator on: January 13, 2023, 12:57:10 PM
Deontay Wilder vs Andy Ruiz Jr. is the next confirmed heavyweight title eliminator, the World Boxing Council has confirmed.
I believe the fight between Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz will surely happen this year, it's one of the fights that people would like to see happen and I bet Wilder to win. Andy Ruiz has made a very good name for himself and his rise to the heavyweight division has been much noticed and appreciated. But this guy is still an underdog person to me, Deontay Wilder is more experienced and had defeated wilder beasts than him. His own would not be an issue.

However, it would be difficult for him to knock Ruiz down easily, he should get prepared for the survival of the fittest till the last possible round along with his magic hand and let his height be an instrument of intimidation.
4892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: January 13, 2023, 12:35:08 PM
Is there some revoked decision in regarding to this? If there are already people who had been streaming out some gambling streams then its safe to presume that it is allowed again.
It is really just that they havent decided to make it public or made out some announcement in regarding to this.It is really impossible that they wont really be that serious on banning
gambling streams. If the numbers or statistics havent changed after than gambling ban then it does shows that they are still relevant despite of the situation
but people says that there are streams that pertains about gambling.
Most likely they are just turning a blind eye to gambling streamers at the moment and they are just evaluating their options.

This way they can more easily adjust their policies in the future, so if they want to once again try to clean their service from gambling streamers they do not need to ban them again and they can just enforce their rules more strictly and claim they lacked the resources to do this until now, and if they want more gambling streamers to use their services they can just keep this lax attitude when it comes to enforcing their own rules.
I like your explanation on this, it's better they enforce some rules that will make everybody happy and not cause issues for others, their platform is large enough for everybody. Some are making their daily income through this, it will be better if they consider it, but under the condition that the third parties are not violating anyone's rights and are dealing with only companies that are legit. Twitch is trying to be too strict, they should regulate/reform if they are so protecting the interest of their users and not for their personal hate.
4893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it becoming a thread for casinos refusing paying very huge winnings? on: January 13, 2023, 09:32:22 AM
I came across a topic recently now of this very thread about a casino refusing to pay a woman her jackpot winnings of over £35.4m and if you'll all agree with me that, this isn't a little sum of money to just ignore.

What got me worried isn't just the winning but to know why casinos are getting away without paying players their exactly winnings with some shitty excuses ?

Link to the post of the woman's winnings below

Please I really want to understand this question and will be glad to hear from people

Well, filling a case is not gonna be an easy journey to win it, especially when you're against someone who's business are still running while you two are on the court for the hearing and you're compromising your business/job for living for that specific day. Of course money will take a huge play in situation like this. The complainant may exhaust all his resources with all the hearings that you needed to attend, otherwise the case will drop.
Another thing is, it's a lot cheaper for the casino to just pay and bribe the authorities than paying the whole winning amount to the winner.
What you have explained is the reason why online companies are doing the way they like most times, and that is why I only like to work with companies that are truly regulated. If they are, you will start the complaint from the regulator, it's when they did not act that you proceed to court. And one thing you missed is that it's not all lawyers that are collecting money for cases, they might collect a percentage if the case is successful, but you would pay for filing.

You might also pray the court to sanction the company monetarily in your favour to cater for the needless energy and time wasted if they are eventually found guilty. Sincerely, the stress might not be worth all that if the money in question is small but would be if the money is reasonable enough.
4894  Economy / Economics / Re: My investments ahead of the 2024 halving 100% Bitcoin on: January 13, 2023, 08:50:27 AM
What my portfolio consist of ahead of 2024 halving

To be sincere with you guys, I never give any thought for. Altcoin and as a newbie I have always been all in for bitcoin and I am very vocal about that, I have some friend who always try to convince me to buy some altcoins that they claim to be good and will give 10x profit at any opportunity, but I am not convince due to centralization of most of the altcoins.
So I can say that my portfolio is made up of 90% BTC and the remaining 10% as savings in case there will be further opportunity to buy BTC at a discount price.

So at this point I am all into BTC and nothing more.
After all, you have a good plan, so keep it up and don't let anything change your mind about it as it seems very good. 90% investment in BTC in the name of halving is not bad as it's almost all your portfolio and make sure that you start the investment at the time of the halving, not earlier like the aggressive investors do.

However, you should know that if you are holding, some altcoins would perform better, that's the way it happens because of their small size. The only way to maximize your earnings might be if you use 50% of the 90% for holding and the other 50% for Futures trading (buying) if you so desire to invest in BTC only.
4895  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: January 13, 2023, 08:23:22 AM
Remember the first lesson you learned as a beginner trader? Did it come from a loss or a win?
Not only in trading but also in real life, and the real lessons and experiences also come from losses and painful defeats, and what did not break you would surely make you. As I write now, I am a well-trained trader with many years of experience, but it was never rosy at first, I lost thousands of USD before I eventually know how to trade after many years of consistent losing.

And one thing that is tricky about trading is that you would think you are better when you have corrected the reason for initial losses, but you would later discover that there is more to learn after another loss.
4896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm planning on hosting a BTC seminar and a friend also followed my path on: January 13, 2023, 08:12:13 AM
You are a good ambassador of Bitcoin, you should keep it up but must do the follow-up as well which is more important to me than awarenesses like this. You have started the work, yet mentoring them on it is better since they would indeed be faced with some issues along the line, you need to learn more about the challenges and discouragement that people might have, particularly the business owners adopting it, and make sure you proffer possible solutions to them even before it arises.
4897  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Games CBN and Nigerian banks are playing with Cryptocurrency and Nigerians on: January 12, 2023, 02:59:15 PM
The ban is not only for the poor, even the average and rich people (or people with high amount of money) were the ones that CBN targeted to the extent I remember one that resulted to court case that was won when court order CBN to unfreeze Risevest bank accounts that were freezed. This was also discussed on Nigeria local thread before.

Nigerian fintech, Risevest wins court order to unfreeze its bank accounts

About the bank transfer, like Cashlink, they are also peer-to-peer, not that Cashlink is directly involved in crypto payment, or are they? If not directly involved in crypto payment, it is peer-to-peer. Not that different from other peer-to-peer.
Actually ehh just as Charles talk, the poor masses weren't the targeted audiences from day one na just say people no dey get sense. Why you go dey input crypto related words when claiming to be transacting decentralized. Na dis people wey implicate themselves wey banks closed and e no affect all their banks instead just the specific banks wey dem received those crypto related transaction in. But you see for business wey the world know say dem dey involved in the crypto business, government follow dem bumper to bumper to make sure dem go out of business resulting to many running away.

Binance get sense and I no believe dem get license yet to operate for Nigeria so anytime wey you dey see anything wey relate to Nigeria for that platform na backyard door wey dem dey use. This Cash link na P2P service providers and Binance no dey work with banks directly as Charles-Tim talk. Just browse am and you go get all the answers to understand wetin dey sup. The best wey to benefit from this industry as a Nigerian na to built your own P2P service providers app and watch as companies go dey knock for ur door.

Well understood and thanks for shedding more light. Yet, my plight was not when the ban was still hot, but now that it looks cold. The "Risevest" you made mentioned had the money to challenge them in court, can the poor do the same? My question was figurative, which was why I was kinda neutral about my disposition while asking it. The whole scenario now where the big guys are back in the crypto business directly with the bank is alarming, while the poor are getting scared to unmask themselves.

And yes, Cashlink might be guiltless of the CBN ban on second thought, I just read more about them, it's more or less a P2P settlement, another way to use other people to make money as the rich people do since they have the resources. Nonetheless, I don't think "Paybis" which is my second example can be guiltless of the ban as they handle the payment all by themselves, and it's just one out of many others.
4898  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 2022 low again? on: January 12, 2023, 02:29:24 PM
Many analyzes about the price of bitcoin in 2023 will indeed not touch prices like the previous ATH
I believe that everyone saying that Bitcoin would hit the ATH in 2023 is just a dreamer. The coin does not have any view to justify such both economically and technically. As always, there would be unrealistic speculators, but to me, such could only be achieved in 2024, not now.

Now that it is 2023, of course we have seen how Bitcoin is doing. Late 2022, Bitcoin price looks very stable at $16k to $20k. There are no big price spikes in 2022. It is possible that in 2023 there will be new surprises with higher price pumps. I think this will happen from next April.
Bitcoin in 2023 will not behave so differently from what it did in 2022, only that it might not touch the high of the year. I speculate that it would possibly reach around $30k this year, but going above $35k might be impossible as far as I know.

It is possible that in 2023 there will be new surprises with higher price pumps. I think this will happen from next April. However it doesn't hold up well, and there will be higher dumps after that. Some people say this is part of the process towards the 2024 bull run.
I don't think the process to get to the 2024 bull run will be like that or it will be like you told me, because conditions and situations are things that will greatly affect the course of the 2024 bull run. Bitcoin still needs price improvement in the market and that can only be said in terms of speculation But not for sure. Because everyone still needs to see how the market changes in 2023, especially in the first quarter of this year.
Basically, halving that all Bitcoin enthusiasts expect so much is a tradition, so I will not relate it to what would happen in 2023. No matter what happens this year, there is no way the halving will not do its thing by pushing the price of the coin significantly higher. For now, let's endeavour to make regular speculation to know where BTC would head bit by bit this year and leave 2024 alone to sort itself.

4899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It good For The Casinos And The Accusers If .. on: January 12, 2023, 02:00:59 PM
Is It Good For The Casinos And The Accusers If the casino operators decided to post a disclaimer that they will not answer accusations here in Bitcointalk but prefer to address them on other platforms that they think are fair and moderated like Askgambler and other platforms?
What's your take on this I don't want to be specific but the question applies to all casino operators.
The answer to your question is simple, it's not good. There is no platform that is as fair as a forum, BTT is a forum, a community of real people practically reviewing and alleging if necessary, it would be fair for the company to answer if they are sincere. Not the so-called platforms that would be doing the wish of their paymaster.

If a platform is strictly moderated by some set of people, you would only see what they want you to see, and they will always favour who pays them. I have experienced this kind of injustice with the so-called trusted ones, your voice might not be heard through their platform. While some voices would be heard and others won't be hard to pretend they are legit.

Nothing could be compared to collective voices that are free to share their views without restriction and harassment by some entities called moderators and sole deciders.

Some people believe Bitcoin is dead, and others believe the process is slow. Let me tell you, those forks have duped you.
No one is dupping anyone, we are all entitles to our opinions. It's now left to you on what you believe, and the truth is that Bitcoin is not dead. When one is not a fool, how could anyone say to you that Bitcoin which is active in payments and investments is dead? It's all about you believing that white is truly white if anyone calls it black to you.

Bitcoin is not centralized (it does not have a central authority).

I hope Bitcoin lovers would truly enjoy the decentralized Bitcoin because some custodial companies are making it less of that these days. The custodial wallets and centralized exchanges are becoming a problem for Bitcoin in my opinion, and I hope everyone using the coin would seek knowledge to know how to use it to truly preserve its decentralized property and purpose.

"I knew the majority of your friends would have called it a Ponzi scheme!"
Also, if your friends call Bitcoin Ponzi, don't you know the meaning of Ponzi? Does Bitcoin look like that to you? This is baseless, so disregard them.
