Thousands of cars lined up to collect food in Dallas, Texas, over the weekend, stretching as far as the eye can see.

Poor Americans are forced using their cars (on credit) to stand in a food line for hours and the crazy thing is they actually believe they live in the best country in the world.
https://twitter.com/CBSNews/status/1328370997125410817

In which other country can poor people line up at a food bank while sitting in an air-conditioned, luxury vehicle, listening to music on a factory-installed, 200+ W, 6 speaker, sound system surfing the internet on their iPhone 11 max pro??  It doesnt get any better than this; not even close.  This makes 'Best country in the world' seem like a gross understatement.
I know of people who are rich go to collect food just to save even more money to make them richer. Roll Eyes
These food banks/bread&soup lines should find out who are actually in need of these rather than just handing them out to people in $50k suvs.

There was no logical reason to pay out early and was clearly an emotional decision by stake and now they're looking to make it difficult for Trump bettors by adding scenarios and conditions that shouldn't be applied because if everyone was waiting, there would be no "invalid" scenario. This is quite concerning and should not take place as I don't see any of these conditions on any mainstream legit betting platform and markets. predictit, paddy p, william h, betfair, are ALL either open or frozen waiting for congress to settle this afaik.
No logical reason? Are you living under a rock or something? Majority of the world has already acknowledged Biden and Harris as the POTUS and VP. Even the official results are matching the projections currently. This isn't similar to Gore vs Bush.

Books like Stake, Sportsbet etc who paid out Biden bets early are being applauded for taking risks and have improved their overall reputation while the books and exchanges that you mentioned are being criticised for late payments.
^^
Totally agreed with you on this point!

The ones who have not settled as of yet are taking a massive risk of alienating their customers with withholding their bets due to their odds providers not giving them the O.K to release those bets on biden.

I am personally starting to question these sportsbook websites which do not and their motivations behind it.

So they are going to hold players funds until February if necessary due to those who they hold a license with? This will only cause those players to move over to the sites that don't act like banks with freezing your funds due to so called investigating.
Come on now! This is just outrageous.

To me Stake did the correct and proper thing to keep customer relations in good standing.

Unlike Pinnacle held sportsbooks.
4893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: November 16, 2020, 04:14:06 PM
@hilarious
Agreed, I’m not a fan of international football at the best of times but this year especially it should have all been scrapped except possibly the qualifiers for the Euro’s.
Under no circumstance should the Nations League & friendlies be taking place when we are in a global pandemic.
Yes I would need to agree with you on this one.
Even though I like sports and it commencing for the regular league play.
I read a ticker saying one team had to withdraw 5 players due to the pandemic.
Even during the weekend in the NCAAF several matches were cancelled due to it.
I think I read half of a team had tested positive and they can catch it quite easily because they probably use the same facilities to train.
So these friendlies and even Nation league games are really unnecessary because they literally amount to nothing in the grand scheme of things in the end.
Unlike the EPL and league play which determines who hoists the trophy at the end of the season.

Yeah, I put my provisional scores in before the international break and I've gone for many draws including two from the ones above but I'll likely change some though it will be hard to decide which ones. I've provisionally backed Liverpool to win at home but I might go for another draw given Liverpool's injuries. They still might be too strong for them at home though.
Mo Salah did test positive for covid-19 so wouldn't count on him playing for the remainder of the year due to sport league protocols in england.

Making it even tougher for a roster depleted LFC team to compete for top 5 in the EPL. Embarrassed

4895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPals Bitcoin is a scam on: November 16, 2020, 03:31:04 PM
Paypal's rules and regulations protect any of their users from being part of or being scammed.

What they are doing is bending the rules in their favor when it comes to the traditional ways of handling bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
They know how handle money and fiat and are just putting these same influences towards this new endeavour of theirs.

Nothing more.

And back to 16,300 territory. Nice to see there is a bit of support at these levels, so when it gets to 18k will people be posting double vegattas?

That was a quick turn around.
Bitcoin is back on track to contest $16,700 again just were it left off on Friday night. But then the million maga march interrupted that rally.

Yay, I'm very happy that in the last minutes I placed a bet (even though a very small one) on Multi Magic, and that Steve was right! 7x win and the free bet are indeed already in my account  Smiley It's a very solid win for me, I don't remember winning at such odds before, actually. Now I'll choose on what to spend the free bet wisely. The terms are great, but if anyone can lose at 1.6 odds, it's me  Grin
Thanks for giving these opportunities!
Yeah, I wish I had put some on this one too but already had my mbtc locked up in other bets. Exact same thing happened to me last week it hit because of those trump vs biden bets or would of put in that 4mbtc on the multimagic. Roll Eyes
It would be some spending money for the black friday week starting today. Embarrassed
Oh well stuff like this happen for the best so congratulations to those who had faith in Steve's picks and kept up with him in the last three multimagic selections.

There was a sole winner of this week's multimasters having 12 wins. Sorry Arallmuus. Cry

And tyKiwanuka is right, there were 16 other winners having 11 correct wins, so they were thinking the same way you did for the final days selections Wink
You do get the distinction of being on top of the leaderboard in our table so congratulations on this achievement.
And I am pretty sure steve will accommodate you nicely with a prize on this accomplishment in our group.

4899  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★BetBTC★ Sportsbook | Bitcoin Sports Betting | Since 2014 | Instant Withdrawals on: November 16, 2020, 01:38:26 AM
Well, it's not only BetBTC I guess, there are a lot of other bookies who are in the same position as of BetBTC for settling the bets; although it's pretty sure that Biden is the winner. Only a few have settled afaik.

True, we can see some discussion in this this thread though.

Sportsbooks that aren’t paying out on Biden winning the US Presidential Election

BetBTC will pay, they are just following the rules which is the official result declaration just like other sportsbook.

Trump has gone on to say he had lost the election but will not concede.
So what does the rule state about this?
He officially has come out to say Biden is the winner, so what are the sportsbooks who has the oddsmakers who are still holding out have to say about this?
4900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 16, 2020, 01:34:11 AM
Looking at the picks made in this thread leea-1334 and arallmuus both have 7 correct predictions, 7 out of 10 is pretty decent, should be good for either top spot or 1 game behind.
I was so excited when I read this because getting 7/10 is pretty good and I might end up winning it but after double checking it on sportsbet because they only mark 6 greens for my slip, It seems that I made a mistake when I post my picks. I had Draw on Chile vs Peru instead of Chile ML so I only have 6 correct picks right now.

Wow Arallmuus! Shocked
You got 11 correctly picked for the multimasters. Usually that means you are the winner most of the time. Only if the others who had 7 correct predictions going into today didn't also get a perfect amount of the remaining selections for their betslips as well.
That would truly suck. Embarrassed
At the very least you would share the prize amount with whomever got them all right today, so that aint too bad either. Wink

And yeah the leaderboards were not updated when I checked earlier today while my ticket was already graded with the games completed yesterday.
So I guess they are on holidays. Undecided
No need to worry much about it since the website seems to be having some issues most of the day when I tried to log in to it.
So it could contribute with it not updating the leaderboard among other things.
Just be patient and steve will get back to us about it sooner than later.
You'll see! Wink

Congrats to you in advance with what you win from being  top of the leaderboard on the thread too!
